Looking to God the Father as the Author and Finisher of our Faith… Praying with Jesus, knowing that He is in your midst. So, talk with Him directly and not in a third-party inference.

No one has ever seen God. But we can converse with Him because he said ‘Call on me and let us reason together.

Psalm 50:15

“Call upon Me on the day of trouble; I will rescue you, and you will honor Me.”

Isaiah 1:18

“Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the Lord, “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool.

When someone says… God told me this, this morning, how do you react to this?

Yes, HE SAID…”My sheep knows my voice”.

John 10:14

I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep and am known by My own.

As the Father knows Me, even so I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep.

Discernment: God gave us the privilege of discernment…

Philippians 1:9

And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment,

God makes no preference, but we are given certain privileges that set us apart. A follower of Christ will be able to communicate based on enlightenment and by the Holy Spirit’s presence in our daily lives.

There is a study that shows that  as Christians their life expectancy will be longer. (an abstract of a report) In both samples, the study showed that those with documented religious affiliations lived an average of 9.45 and 5.64 years longer respectively than those who did not. When other important factors like gender and marital status were calculated, the number dropped to 6.48 and 3.82 years.

What does the study reveal? Most certainly, the presence of the Lord in once’s life has benefit and it is spiritual and material benefits,

So today as we cope with the disarray of a divided government, the greed, and deceits. The deceptions and ulterior intents of politicians and the persecution of Christians be aware that we are set apart. Even under arrest Paul and Silas while in jail, they remained faithful and we all know their release from jail that we often referred to as the great jailbreak.

So, in Faith Christians do enjoy spiritual privileges, know it, and claim it in His Name.  as said…

1 Corinthians 2:12

Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.

We take so much for granted… Stop and think, going to the Lord, are we in an ‘Asking’ mode, or are we in a ‘Thanksgiving mode’? Knowing that God knows our needs before we ask, but he said, ask, why?  Oneness in Christ… or are we doing it ritualistically?  Worship in Reverence and Love for our Lord and not just to ask Him for favors

 James 1: 1-8  (NKJV)

James, a bondservant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ,

To the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad:

Greetings.

Profiting from Trials

My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

Commentary: James the author of the book of James was the brother of Jesus.  During the lifetime of Jesus on earth, James was not a believer; John 7:2-5) Now the Jews’ Feast of Tabernacles was at hand. His brothers therefore said to Him, “Depart from here and go into Judea, that Your disciples also may see the works that You are doing. For no one does anything in secret while he himself seeks to be known openly. If You do these things, show Yourself to the world.” For even His brothers did not believe in Him.

James saw Jesus after the resurrection, he was also present on the Day of Pentecost… Acts 1:4 (NKJV) The Holy Spirit Promised

And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me;

James became the leader of the church in Jerusalem…(Written in the Acts, written by Luke) Acts 12:17 (NKJV)

17 But motioning to them with his hand to keep silent, he declared to them how the Lord had brought him out of the prison. And he said, “Go, tell these things to James and to the brethren.” And he departed and went to another place.

Acts 15: 13 And after they had become silent, James answered, saying, “Men and brethren, listen to me: 14 Simon has declared how God at the first visited the Gentiles to take out of them a people for His name. 15 And with this the words of the prophets agree, just as it is written:

16 ‘After this I will return and will rebuild the tabernacle of David, which has fallen down;
I will rebuild its ruins, And I will set it up.

17 So that the rest of mankind may seek the Lord,
Even all the Gentiles who are called by My name,
Says the Lord who does all these things.’

18 “Known to God from eternity are all His works. 19 Therefore I judge that we should not trouble those from among the Gentiles who are turning to God, 20 but that we write to them to abstain from things polluted by idols, from sexual immorality, from things strangled, and from blood. 21 For Moses has had throughout many generations those who preach him in every city, being read in the synagogues every Sabbath.”

The message of James offers a clear and practical methods of how Christians may apply the principles of the Beatitude to our daily lives.

James laid out in Chapter 1: 2-4 the purpose of the trials we suffer in our live; James 1:2-4 (NKJV)

Reflection on Jesus who lived among James and his other sibling, here we see James who was not a believer in Jesus until he saw Jesus after the Resurrection, from this we can imagine that Jesus never ‘preached’ to James but growing up as brothers James probably accepted Jesus as just a kid brother, not accepting the deity of Jesus as the Messiah.  But the Grace of God kept James in the family of Christ that James is still with Jesus.  So as Brothers and Sisters in family units today, gather in the name of Jesus and come to know Christ to keep the circle from being broken… Look to the future in Christ Jesus our Lord so that we shall all gather in that great cathedral with Jesus.

Prayers: Heavenly Father in Jesus our Lord and Savior we come… Lord Jesus as our sole Mediator to the Father we gather in Your Holy Name and we praise You for Your Graciousness and we thank you for Your Divine Redemption knowing that Your reference to the Poor includes us, but Lord You have paid it all… and Lord we give You first Place in all as You Lord Jesus is Preeminent as King of kings and Lord of all.  We thank you for our Visitors and we seek your blessings upon us all. To You Lord Jesus is the Power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen.

The wonder of God’s creation… the unique taste and packaging, the awesome splendor and above  all His promise and priceless gift He has provided.

Eating fruits and enjoying the taste satisfying flavors from figs, plums, apples, pistachio nuts, and many other fruits; I often stop to think of how God created such varieties.  The wonder of the taste and unique packaging that these fruits are presented.  It is in awe that I appreciate God’s wonderful creation.

Today  I have dedicated it to be a day of thanksgiving for our Creator’s magnificent array of what He created for our enjoyment. As He said…

Revelation 22:2 In Context 

in the middle of its street. On either side of the river was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

Today as I take my supplements of vitamin C, Garlic, Zinc, Salmon Oil, and a few others that are essential for boosting the immune system. I also wonder how in the time of the disciples travelling and spreading the Good News, how did they manage.  But it is no secret that God prepared them and provided for each one. However, their lives were challenged and all experienced death by being killed; except John who lived to die naturally, after  taking care of Mary the mother of Jesus and writing the Book of Revelation.

The Disciples all dedicated themselves to the spreading the Gospel, except Judas who betrayed Christ.  Just like John the Baptist whom Herod killed. As we often say… Jesus knew of John’s impending death and He could have stopped Herod, however, Jesus knew that John was ready to go in the presence of the Father, and the disciple’s lives being taken were also a ‘going-home’ for them.

Giving thank to the Lord is a daily event, and it is as expressed above in awe of the worder of God’s great creation and love for us, as he gave us dominion over all things. So experientially we are to express our thanks and not ritualistically.

Thank You Lord Jesus… We love You and give You first place in all and knowing that all things are from you as stated…

The application of Preaching versus Teaching, leading versus directing and forcing versus influencing. Why did Jesus say… come to Him as a Child?

There is a vast difference of ‘Preaching versus ‘Teaching’ From my own perspective of reviewing how Jesus presented the Good News, He was at all times teaching. In most instances, He was conversing with his audience. Just as how he told Nicodemus of the need to be Bonn-Again.

His Sermon of the Mount, this being the Beatitude, here we see Jesus teaching, and He was making a statement, as we like to refer to the Sermon on the Mount as His Inauguration Speech.

was the Sermon on the Mount “The Beatitudes” … Which we at Good News Forever refer to as ‘Let these be your attitude’ and we recognize this as Jesus’ ‘Inauguration speech’ of a King. This sermon sets the many precepts for us to abide by and strive to achieve them to please our Lord.

Introduction to the Sermon on the Mount

Now when Jesus saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him, and he began to teach them.

The Beatitudes

He said:

“Blessed are the poor in spirit,
    for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn,
    for they will be comforted.
Blessed are the meek,
    for they will inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
    for they will be filled.
Blessed are the merciful,
    for they will be shown mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart,
    for they will see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers,
    for they will be called children of God.
10 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
    for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

11 “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.+++ End of Text.

Our mental abilities rise and fall in waves as we keep on developing skills, we may even expand our reading comprehension and our mathematic skill improves.  So, getting better with age may not only apply to vintage wines, but we are an amazing creation and more so when we add God to the equation of aging.

 When God chooses you, you could be as old as ever, as His mission in your life will be fulfilled, let us look at:

  • Noah was 500 years old when he started to build the Ark, and 600 years old when he entered the ark. Moses was 80 years old when he entered the palace of Pharaoh to tell him… Exodus 5:1

[First Encounter with Pharaoh] Afterward Moses and Aaron went in and told Pharaoh, “Thus says the Lord God of Israel: ‘Let My people go, that they may hold a feast to Me in the wilderness.’

  • David killed Goliath when he was only 15 years old…

So regardless of your age, be prepared to serve the Lord.

Jesus the giver of Life – everlasting, remember that a ‘Free’ Gift had to be bought by the giver, and Jesus bought His Priceless Gift with His Life by dying for us, and His Payment was Redeemed by the Father as He Rose from death. His Resurrection is a Witness of what He has endowed for those in Jesus who shall also share in His Glory through His Divine Redemption.

Yes, we can receive His ‘Priceless-Gift’ right now and be made a Joint-Heir in Christ our Savior.

To know Christ:  Repent (Turn from your sins) and by faith receive Jesus Christ into your heart and life and follow Him in obedience as your Lord and Savior. Can a politician tell the truth? Yes, and no, but it is against their policy to be factual…

Why do politicians lie? Because voters do not want the truth. You would think it is the other way around where the politicians want to keep the voters from knowing the truth.

John 8:32

and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” In the Heavenly realms, knowing the ‘Truth” is knowing Christ, because He is the Truth and the Way…

These are Words spoken by Jesus… John 14:6

Jesus *said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me”.

The Bible also said… Romans 10:17

So, faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.

Listening is an art; it takes discipline to be a good listener.

Listening is an art that requires work, self-discipline, and skill. The art of communication springs as much from knowing when to listen as it does from knowing how to use words well. Ask any good salesperson or negotiator about the value of silence. ... To sharpen listening skills, you need patience and practice.

Listening versus ‘hearing’… optimum. Volume over 80 decibels should be listened to for no more than 15 minutes.

The average sound level in the cinema is in the 80-110 decibel Range, when the soundtrack spikes, the effect can be damaging to your hearing.

When we pause in our prayers making our ‘communication with the Lord a two-way conversation, we can benefit immensely.  God gave us the ability of ‘Discernment’ and in many instances, there are auto-suggestions that will prompt us to make an effort to do this or to do that.

During this period of the Covid-19 Lockdown, many are suffering from depressions, lack of interaction among friends, and the cabin-fever is becoming unbearable.  The fallout of this is a high rate of suicide, drugs, and other diversions, even a high divorce rate. But it should be a time to communicate with the Lord, read the Word, learn more about the goodness of the Lord. Share the Good News and take time out to reach out to others.

Consider that the ‘Lockdown’ period it is like being aboard an airplane that has lost one or two of its engines, what would the crew be doing? One may be reading the manual, and others may be figuring out what is wrong and laying our contingency plans. The same in a lockdown at home, read the Bible, it will point the way out of this isolation, stop and listen and interact with others, it is like the captain communicating with the control tower.  Best of all communicate with God He is your ‘Control-Tower’ He knows the safe landing place and He will guide you there.  Happy Landings!

Thoughts for today… Grace is not a Vaccine but is administered with Faith. Without Faith it will not work…

Posturing is so much a part of society. This is virtually a setting build on pride and  a deceptive relationship. How do you rate the use of posturing?

Posturing based on what is truth and what is real may be considered an affirmation to expound the substance of our standing, such as…

Romans 15:17

Therefore, in Christ Jesus I have found reason for boasting in things pertaining to God. In Context

Abraham’s Justification by Faith

What then shall we say that Abraham, our forefather according to the flesh, has found? For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about; but not [c]before God. For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.”

Ephesians 2:8-9

For by grace, you have been saved through faith; and this is not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

Jesus was not ‘Boasting’ when He said…

10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came so that they would have life and have it abundantly.

A once prominent politician made the false claim that he invented the Internet, this misrepresentation stuck with him for life.

Is misrepresentation a lie?, most certainly.

One of the most profound posturing or denial is recorded in the Bible.  Peter denying Christ…

Matthew 26:75 Peter’s Denials

69 Now Peter was sitting outside in the courtyard, and a slave woman came to him and said, “You too were with Jesus the Galilean.” 70 But he denied it before them all, saying, “I do not know what you are talking about.” 71 When he had gone out to the gateway, another slave woman saw him and *said to those who were there, “This man was with Jesus of Nazareth.” 72 And again he denied it, with an oath: “I do not know the man.” 73 A little later the bystanders came up and said to Peter, “You really are one of them as well, since even the way you talk gives you away.” 74 Then he began to curse and swear, “I do not know the man!” And immediately a rooster crowed. 75 And Peter remembered the statement that Jesus had made: “Before a rooster crows, you will deny Me three times.” And he went out and wept bitterly.

Despite Peter’s denial, Jesus restored him, and this was an example of Jesus knowing Peter’s fault and the reason for his denial… because we are mere humans and fear the worst. Remember Peter did say… Mark 14:29

But Peter said to Him, “Even if they all fall away, yet I will not!”

Mark 14:31

But Peter repeatedly said insistently, “Even if I have to die with You, I will not deny You!” And they all were saying the same thing as well.

God’s Grace…

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous, so that He will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. In Context 

Yes, we can boast about God’s Grace…

Prayer: Father in Heaven we thank You as we gather in Your Holy Presence by the Righteousness of our Redeemer, Jesus our Lord. While waiting we are to use our time wisely… continue working until such time when He come.

Waiting is the name of the game, visiting your doctor, keeping and appointment. In some cases, you will be on time, but when you announce yourself you are told to wait. Such instances are usually with business meetings, why? lean more…

Why do doctors keep you waiting? Maybe because the person before you did not show on time, and the practice of attorneys keeping you waiting to see him, why? In most Asian professional offices, when you arrive for an appointment, you are greeted by name and taken to a conference room and offered Tea or refreshment, then in a few minutes your host will enter the room. In the USA, you are told to ‘Wait’ and be seated, and in most instances your host is just posturing.  This is a very unsophisticated way of starting a relationship.

As a developer, we built medical suites for Physicians, and their request usually require multiple examination rooms, why, we call them musical operatories, as it is intended to keep the patient in check while the physician is finishing up his current appointment.  

The story of IBM in its early days, while visiting a top bank, the team came in on time, and was shown a conference room, they waited for more than half and hour, but the Team manager said. ‘Let us go’ the sales team said why? This is an important appointment, and it took a lot to get this meeting, he said ‘If we wait, we will appear to be desperate, the team said, we do not have another meeting so why leave? So, they got up and told the receptionist, that they had to leave for another important assignment and when the banker was ready, he can call them and reset the appointment.  In a few hours they received a call asking if they could arrange a visit? The request was more in a ‘Please come back tone’  Guess what?, they went and made their presentation and landed the contract.

Posturing is psychological maneuvering; just like when the Chinese Communist party was to attend their first meeting at the United Nation, their dilemma was when to show up, to be on time, they considered it that they would be looked at being ‘Exact;’ to be too early, they would be seen as ‘Anxious’, to be a little late it would be considered aggressive’ guess which one they chose? Our Lord will not be late, His return seems to be overdue… No, He has not forgotten us, inspite of the world’s turmoil and human tragedies, God is not posturing, He is allowing us time to repent.

2 Peter 3:9 In Context |

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, because of Your Righteousness we are privileged to come to the Father… Father we thank You for Your Graciousness and Your Love through our Lord Jesus. Today as we start a new week, Lord bless our Visitors and us all, we give You prominence as we look to You as the Author and Finisher of our Faith. Focus:  While seeking the Lord, seek Him for His mercies, His Love and His Grace, Seek Him to ‘Thank Him’ and to Praise Him for His Majesty, His Divine Gift of Life here and to come as He gave His life for you so that You may have eternal life through Him. Praise our Lord Jesus as we say ‘Our Redeemer Lives’ and we shall see Him on that day.

We all have a few ‘fair weather’ friends… such a relationship with the Lord is no relationship as Jesus said…

God desires goodness for us all, this is why He sent His Son Jesus…

John 3:16-17 (NKJV)

16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

Note: The Text refers to ‘The World’ but in context… God was referring to the ‘people’ of the World, as He said, ‘Whosoever believes in Him shall not perish’.

Remember the most profound statement ever said on earth was said by Jesus when He said…” I am not of this world.”

Good News…

A Patient & Merciful God… God through His Son Jesus came that we could be saved from the consequences of our sins.

Principle: The Good News is that God has a plan inspite of our shortcoming…

He came so that we may have life and have it more abundantly… A statement made by Jesus himself; John 10:10

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

His Redemption: 1 Peter 1:18-19 NIV

For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.

His Eternal Faithfulness:

25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. 26 And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?

His Faithfulness-

Conclusion

Come to our Lord today as He said come unto Him and He will receive you and forgive you of your sin(s) and you will be a new creation in Christ.

Pray... Lord Jesus I come in Faith accepting Your gift of Salvation and chose to be alive in You by your Grace my Lord. Lord Jesus receive me as I repent of my sin and accept your great Salvation by your Blood of Atonement, and I seek Your divine guidance in my life, to you Lord be the Glory... Amen.

Be Joyful not just being happy, what is the difference?

:  In pursuit of Happiness… Find Joy that is better and lasting.  Joy is from Rejoicing, Rejoicing in the Lord.

What do you have that you can have lasting Joy? To look at life, we need to know that ‘Life’ is also beyond this world. Why? Because Jesus said… ”I am not of this world”  and where He went, He will return and get you so that where He is you will be also. So, choosing something to be delighted in that gives happiness why not choose Joy that is lasting; and in Him we can Rejoice.  Rejoice is like repeating the Joy.

Repeat the sounding Joy… found in the favorite Christmas Carol.

Joy to the World, the Lord is come!
Let earth receive her King;
Let every heart prepare Him room,
And Heaven and nature sing,
And Heaven and nature sing,

Joy is found 244 times in the Bible, Jesus warned not to make the things of this world deter us from His Joy.

The delicate balance to good health, eating right, weight the salt and sugar in the balance.

Eating more fish (Wild Caught), Leafy green vegetables, Whole Grains, Fruits and Nuts, exercise, Sleep, and stay hydrated. These are the pre-requisite of staying healthy. Add the protective gears, of weaking a mask, stay away from crowds, practice deep-breathing and taker your Vitamin supplements. Keep your immune system in order. And avoid second-hand smoke. And above all do all things in moderation.

Assuming we are doing the above, then we must be able to say… All is well with my Soul; this is from a hymn written by  Horatio Spafford and composed by Philip Bliss. The affirmation by Horatio Spafford done in a very traumatic time in his life of losing all his children, in the Chicago fire he lost everything, then the depression. Here is a man like Job, who was having sores all over his body, when his wife said, ‘why don’t; you curse God and die’ Job answered and said she was speaking like a crazy person, and affirmed… Job 19:25-26 New International Version

Water into Wine, it takes time to produce wine, especially good wines.

Fermentation takes roughly two to three weeks to complete fully, but the initial ferment will finish within seven to ten days.

Good wine takes time… Good things take time, and there is no doubt when it is the matter of Wine. You know the saying “Aged like fine wine.”

Jesus Changes Water into Wine

On the third day a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus’ mother was there, and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding. When the wine was gone, Jesus’ mother said to him, “They have no more wine.” ...


“Woman,[a] why do you involve me?” Jesus replied. “My hour has not yet come.”

His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.”

Nearby stood six stone water jars, the kind used by the Jews for ceremonial washing, each holding from twenty to thirty gallons.[b]

Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water”; so, they filled them to the brim.

Then he told them, “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet.”

They did so, and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew. Then he called the bridegroom aside 10 and said, “Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now.”

With today’s technology, you can age new wine by an ultra-sonic frequency device that breakdown the molecules aging the new wine into a wine that is of a vintage taste.

But as God would say… start with your own grapes, water, yeast, and other ingredients and make your own without what He created. 

We know that all tings were created by Him, even the Dinosaurs. Did their job. They were like bulldozers, shaping the landscape and compacting the soil. No, they are not what made fossil fuels, but their actions may have helped in breaking down the vegetation that became fossil fuel over time.

Jesus performed His first miracle by turning water into wine. With all the inventions we have ‘created’ they are really discoveries. Jet Propulsion, rocket engineering is still primitive compared to Jesus’ levitation as He departed to Heaven. So, our achievements are still miniscule and in early development stages.

Tomorrow we will discuss Stem Cell Therapy, its purpose, and Regenerative abilities.

Let us Praise the Lord for His Grace and His Power, as he gave us a Sound Mind. Lord Jesus today we acknowledge our short-coming, yet Your love for us and Your Grace provided  gave us knowledge and Wisdom through Your Providence. Real wealth, it is not seen, why? Because it is in Heaven…

The Church and God’s Mission:

The Church is the Body of Christ, and Jesus is the First Born, He is Alpha & Omega, the Beginning and the Ending, and the ending is to be with our Lord and Savior in a sanctified place of Splendor a place not made by human hands. Ephesians 1: 22 And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, 23 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.

Insight for today… We are to live for the Glory of God not the glory of Self, serving others in His name is laying up treasures in Heaven. as he commanded: “Love one Another”

Text: Ephesians 1: 20-23

20 he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, 21 far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. 22 And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, 23 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.

We are reflecting on the early church of Corinth, and what the Apostles faced in  proclaiming the Gospels.  In cities like Ephesus, Acts 19:26
And you see and hear how this fellow Paul has convinced and led astray large numbers of people here in Ephesus and in practically the whole province of Asia. He says that gods made by human hands are no gods at all. Acts 19:25-27 (in Context) Acts 19 (Whole Chapter) 

 The silversmiths caused a riot as Paul turned many away from worshipping their idols, the silversmiths were losing business, as Paul told the worshippers, what good is an idol that not able to stand unless it was nailed down, and what can a dumb idol do for them.

The Mission of Jesus Christ: 

Ephesians 1: 11 In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will, 12 in order that we, who were the first to put our hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory. 13 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory.

We are to gather in the Body of Christ, and in To SEEK the Kingdom of GOD! To Walk in Faith, knowing that the Kingdom of God goes forth in TRUTH & POWER with JESUS at the Throne, knowing that Jesus is in Charge. The Solution is not More Religion, but More of Christ's

Principles. the Bottom line is… We are either going for the Kingdom of GOD, or to a God Forsaken place, so Choose JESUS.

The descendent of HIS Holy Spirit was revealed in the Book of ACTS: Acts 2: 2 Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting.

Have Faith in Jesus our Redeemer and our Advocate, and also as a Friend, and by being joint Heir, I can trust Him knowing, Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.

Hebrews 13: He said come to Him Boldly as HE sits on the Throne of Righteousness. To Boldly Proclaim Jesus, and also to identify that I am Son of the Most High.

Today we are just like the Diaspora, but instead of the transplanted Jews from Jerusalem, we are in America a land that is similar to Corinth comprising all “Foreigners” but thanks to the Grace of our Lord in Timothy 1: 8 We are saved by Grace for Obedience Verse 3 Praise to God for a LIVING HOPE.

Jesus at the Temple

Jesus entered the temple courts and drove out all who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves.

13 “It is written,” hei said to them, “‘My house will be called a house of prayer,’ but you are making it ‘a den of robbers.]

Prayer:

Heavenly Father in Jesus our Lord and Savior we come. Lord Jesus just as You did drive out the money changers and the robbers, we need this now in this world. Living a fulfilled life, what is the secret?

John 15:6-10

If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire, and burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples. ...

Everything else is a compromise. One thing for sure, all ill-begotten wealth will soon be lost. Just the same for stealing someone’s design. I have a friend that his dad is a famous architect who design a building that is a landmark skyscraper, his design was stolen and sealed by another architect.  This was the action of the developer-owner, who subsequently lost the building and his bank that anchored the building. In fact, he was found guilty of fraud against the Banking commission and served prison time. This is the consequence of breaking the golden rule of honesty.

Galatians 6:7

Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.

Galatians 6:8

Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.

Luke 10:25-37

The Parable of the Good Samaritan

On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. “Teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?” “What is written in the Law?” he replied. “How do you read it?” He answered, ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’

So, to have a fulfilled life, Love God with all your heart and with all your soul and strength and with all your mind; and when enjoying a fulfilled life, remember to love your neighbor as yourself.

We know some neighbors are ‘hard’ to love… but we must overlook their faults, just as how Jesus overlooks our own faults.

Praise the Lord for a wonderful day ahead of us…make time to share the Good News, accept the providence of the Lord as he is faithful and He knows what we have need of, even before we ask.

Thank You Lord Jesus, as we come in Your Holy Presence. Bless our Visitors and grant us all Your Divine Grace and Your favors on each of us. We pray in Your Holy Name Lord Jesus… Amen.

A Christian is a follower of Christ.  Being a Christian, you are not participating in “Christianity’ as Christianity is construed as a form of Religion. As a Follow of Christ, we are not a member of a religious group.  A Christian is a Child of God, as said …

Galatians 3:26
So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith,

Commentary:

1) To be in Fellowship with others,

2) Bringing the Good News to many,

3) Reaching out to others; we are privileged to serve our eternal sovereign God, and HE is faithful, and we can count on Him knowing that he is our Redeemer.

Reflecting back to the time when the Apostle Paul was imprisoned and taken before Felix the Governor. Paul spoke in his own defense of the charges against him, he made a frank confession of his faith in God, and how He was struck down on the road to Damascus and came to be a servant of Jesus his Lord. Felix heart was evidently touched by Paul’s statement, to the extent that Felix commanded his centurion to free Paul. But a few days later he ordered his unique prisoner to come and tell him more about his faith in Christ. After Paul pointed out to Felix the judgment to come, Felix was filled with fear and sent him away saying… go and I will call you when I have a more convenient time. To Felix the love of power, money, worldly lust, and pleasure had hardened his heart, and he did not repent when Paul told him about the Good News of Christ’ Salvation.

Many of us are like Felix, and we feel that the need to know our Lord and to accept His Grace is something we can do in a timely manner.

Unfortunately, none of us knows the future. In real life…  We tend to place the most important thing that we will ever own on a lesser value, this is our Soul, our actual being, that will live on forever. We place this at risk by not having the Assurance of the Redemption by our Lord that assures Life-Everlasting in a Place of Splendor.

The statement of a man who lost his wife, he responded to his friend that said…”I am sorry to hear that you lost your wife”, His reply? “Oh, I haven’t lost her, I know exactly where she is!”  This assertive response can only come from the follower of Jesus Christ; because we have the assurance that when we die, we will immediately be with our Lord. 2 Corinthians 5:8

2: 18 For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father. The common unified message is that We are Redeemed and are made Heirs in Jesus our Lord.

No appointment necessary, come as you are… make the most important move you will ever make in your life… take the step of Faith now. Just say search me O God…

Instead of a divided country, as we see in the current event of the political landscape, we should be counting our blessings.  

The Pandemic contributed to the challenges of the citizens, but some politicians instead of solving the problem they are opposing the progress and using it to bolster their political base. 

Unfortunately, followers of one party do not stop to analyze the political intent of their party leaders.  

So, today we should stop and know that actions speak louder than word.  Give credit to where it is due. Stop and Praise the Lord that He is in charge and Greater is He in us that the politicians and their intent. 

Rely on the Lord, always; His Providence prevails, and It is ready to be received... 

What is God’s Providence? To some it may be the things that we are surrounded with, the things that He has provided for our daily lives.  But God’s Providence goes much further, it is the something that money cannot purchase. 

The Providence of the Lord is greater that the anything we can imagine.   

Remember Jesus said… All your needs will be met. Be patient do not do what Sara did. 

Thoughts for the day: God’s timeline is His, our timeline are usually flawed, and God knows what’s best for us all.

Commentary:    The lesson is being patient and wait on the Lord…  

God’s Covenant will never pass away, and His assurance in Chronicles and in Deuteronomy must be remembered and respected. And for us Gentiles, God made it clear in Romans 8:31-39 More Than Conquerors 

31 What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?  

37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

What can we do to help? The traditional greeting of…

Greeting someone by asking ‘Hi, how are you? and the person respond by saying the same. What have they accomplished?  Back when I first met my 94-year old neighbor, he said, Hi, I am your neighbor and is there anything I can do for you? Now, that is a heart felt greeting.

The intersections are commanded by pan handlers. And some are professional beggars, not to judge anyone, but observing someone parking his car a half block away and preparing to parade around with his sign of… I am hungry, and ending with the statement of ‘God Bless’  This gig has been worn out and more motorist are ignoring them.

Before we go on, many are truly homeless and in need of assistance,  by there are some…

And how many are secret millionaires just waiting to be exposed?

We have all heard the stories of panhandlers making hundreds of dollars in just a few hours. With a particularly bombastic storyteller, the number could even be in the thousands.

Usually, at the end of these stories, the panhandler drives back to his palatial home in a fancy car. Or, she removes her fake pregnant belly, lights up a cigarette, and gets into a car that picks her up.

While there’s a grain of truth in every story – in this case, that not every panhandler is homeless or even lacking for money.

Carrying a sign around is not begging, it is advertising, coming up to you and asking is begging, and when asked, one must give.

All the self-help books, motivational seminars, are they helpful? Yes, but without hope and faith in God, nothing works.

Coming to Jesus like a Child-like Faith is all He asked.

Factoid… While we live in what is known as the United States of America, yet it is a very divided country. We need to lead from the Lord’s creation…

The wonder of our Lord’s creation never ceases to amaze us, even the Locust fly in formation and will not wander from their ranks. This is why when they invade a field, they can eat the crop down in one swoop eating away a swath of vegetation. To think that these wild insects being so small but with a sense of order; they do not break ranks nor crowd each others, they work as a team.  Christian should adopt the order of God’s smallest insects, just like the Ants they are governed by hierarchy, and are very industrious, the leaf-cutting ants are an example of performing large-scale feats as they carry a leaf at least a hundred times their size.

What worked… no longer works, retail, restaurant, and  cinemas are closing many permanently.  Churches are also experiencing closures. For churches we have solutions. Read more.

The Casinos are opened, but the Churches were banned from congregating, singing, and worshipping until the Supreme Court ordered the ban to be lifted.

For churches there is a solution to hold real services and not the ‘Virtual’ service. Church may install a Low-Power Broadcast radio station for under $300, Church goers can now drive up to the parking lot and tune into the Service. This will be more than the ‘Virtual’ internet services, as the attendance is at the Church parking lot that will constitute ‘the Body of Christ.

Being saved is like flying first-class. Have you ever flown First-Class? Some may say, this is a snobbish category of flyers… But there are distinct advantages flying in the forward cabin, such as:

  • First to board
  • Sitting in the front rows not after all the noise and the person coughing ahead of you
  • Getting on board first to access the overhead bins.
  • And also, first to leave the plane.

Why are we not our own?  The Bible said we are not our own; just as it is said “I chose you so that you might bear fruit, and these fruits will ‘Last’ and being His whatever we ask in His name He (Our Father ) will give us.  We are His to bring others to Him, the use of ‘Fruit’ is a metaphor of bringing others to Christ.

The Bible lays out the same scenario as a first-class ticket… Because our Lord said… Romans 8:1-2 New International Version (NIV)

Life Through the Spirit

Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you[a] free from the law of sin and death.

This means that those in Christ will not be waiting in line for the Judgment, just like the First-Class amenities, we will have priority boarding because our Lord said, where He is there will those who are in Him.

Pray this prayer of Commitment: Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. Gaining the world and losing one’s soul?

Jesus asked this question as recorded in the three Gospels of…
Matthew 16:26

What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?

 Mark 8:36

What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?

  Luke 9:25

What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit their very self?

The answer was also given by Jesus as He spoke of the rich man and the beggar Lazarus.

Our life here on earth is like the Journey in the wilderness to Canaan, the trip will appear to be long, but He will carry us through and point us to His Promised Land.

“You do not have to know the road; be sure you know the Guide.”

“This is the way, walk in it,”

Commentary: Our Lord disclosed many things, including His promised of His Divine Guidance… (Isaiah 30:21); we know the one who is the Way himself (John 14:4-6).

Our Lord offered His Divine Providence and described what will be waiting for us at the end of the journey.  He even bought us at a price, se we are not our own.  He described us as chosen ones…. As the Scripture said, for we are a chosen generation…. 1 Peter 2:9

But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

1 Corinthians 6:20

For you were bought at a price; therefore, glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.

Jesus knew our depth of belief, so He made it quite simple by saying… A simple sermon for seeking souls.

“Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:13

For meditation: “God be merciful to me a sinner” was Christ’s description of a man calling upon God and being justified (Luke 18:13,14). Any insistence on special experiences and strange happenings is an evidence of having departed from Christ, the head of the church (Colossians 2:18,19).

Grace is by God’s Declaration… Believe it, Grace is what bought  & Redeemed you…

What is Grace?

"THE GRACE OF GOD" ... So, grace is favor, "unmerited favor." Salvation by Grace. Grace is, therefore, God's unmerited favor - His goodness toward those who have no claim on, nor reason to expect, divine favor. The principal manifestation of God's grace has been in the form of a gift.

Do we deserve Grace? No, we cannot earn it nor purchase it. Yes, you may be able to purchase an extension to an obligation, such as a note. But the note is still an obligation. But God’s Grace is a cancellation of the debt.

Praise Jesus for His mercies…

The Sun never set on the British Empire?  Today,  The British empire now consists of 13 territories that all are virtual nonessentials assets.

Marxism… We will surround America and it will fall. A statement that will never be realized…

Because we know this.

First, we will take Eastern Europe, then the masses of Asia. We will encircle the last bastion of capitalism, the United States of America. We will not need to fight. It will fall as a ripe fruit into our hands.” (Vladimir Ilyich Lenin)

The danger of Lenin’s mission… When a nation turns away from God, and evil forces seize control, influenced by external forces, the cire becomes rotten.  Many nations are experiencing this. 

The Forbes’ ® List of Billionaires needs to be disbanded. Why? Those who have amassed billions, do they need to move up the roster? Will the next Stock Market correction humble a few of these ultra-rich?  One thing for sure… whatever goes up must comes down. And for every action these is a reaction.

We are not against being wealthy,  but wealth when fused with ‘Power’ these two elements usually produced a prideful self-serving appetite to control others.

So, place your trust in God, as the old adage says… In God we Trust, and all others pay cash… This is so wrong, as trusting in God we have the opportunity of using our wealth to help others.

So, whoever wants to do the Global Re-Set, this is still superficial as such a reset will still be the same ole’ thing.

But, in the twinkling of an eye, things will change, and we shall be transformed…

in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.

We do not have to wait to be changed, we can do this right now…

United Kingdom 307,000.

The root cause of the homeless population in the USA,  it is not that funds are not provided by the Federal government, but in most instances, misuse of funds, diversion of funds, and abuse by politicians through cronyism and abuse of the system. This is not just at the social housing level. But prevailing even in our school system. Our claims are backed by a case study to which the author can testify to massive miss use of funds by politicians.

In some way we can say Mary & Joseph were homeless in Bethlehem when they were turned away from the Inn and sent to a stable. But the Glory of God shone on them, as Jesus came as Emanual.

We have seen the results of homeless individuals being regenerated and becoming successful.  Some of the homeless individuals were once industry leaders, and from all walks of lives.

What we have here is the “Missing-Link” the Missing Link is Jesus.

Leaving time for Christ, is not what we should be doing. Go to Him First, then ‘leave’ time for others.

Remember our Lord gets the First Fruit, and do not keep the Lord waiting.

Often times at church service will begin a little late as there are late comers.  We must value the opportunity of coming in the presence of the Lord. Just like attending a function that the keynote speaker would be the president of a celebrity; in that instance most people would be on time or arriving early.

The traditional Rose Bowl parade in Pasadena, California will have 70,000 spectators seated before the commencement at 8 AM.  Unfortunately, this year the Tournament of Roses is cancelled due to Covid-19.

So, coming to service 16 minutes late should be adjusted as the Sunday morning services are the most important event of the day, and Jesus is the Preeminent head of the event.

We are to ‘give’ the time to the Lord, not ‘leaving’ time for Him.  If there was an invitation to have supper at the Whitehouse with the president, surely, we all would be on time as requested. So, attending church and having the Lord’s Supper that is more important than the Whitehouse dinner.

These are some of what we consider to be conduct as proper protocol in coming in the presence of the Father, and thanking our Lord in His Name…

Most prayers will proceed without acknowledging Jesus as our Mediator, as He Jesus said that whenever we gather in prayers, He is in the Midst. And as such, when ending our prayers, if is more appropriate to say “IN YOUR NAME” we Pray Lord Jesus, which is recognizing that He is present. The traditional ending of an abrupt ending of …’In Jesus name we pray’ is like saying He Jesus is not a part of the Prayer.

In writing a letter there is a ‘Salutation’  of ‘Dear so and so’, then there is an acknowledgement of the reader’s reading the letter and then there is an ending of thanking the reader and confirmation of our sincerely, etc. So, just like our letters, our prayers should be with…  Salutation, Praise & appreciation and expression of our Faith.

John 14:6

No one comes to the Father without Him…. So, when we pray, He is in our Midst. There are no One to One Prayers, all prayers are made to God the Father in the Trinity.  Jesus is ‘One’ with the Father as God in the Trinity.  Jesus is our Triune God of Father Son and Holy Spirit.

Jeremiah 17: 7-8 Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord... He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream... Its leaves are always green, and it never fails to bear fruit" (17:7-8).

Prayer:

Heavenly Father in Jesus our Lord and Savior we come. Lord Jesus because of Your Divine Redemption we are privileges to come in the Holy Presence of our Father.  Father we thank You for our Redeemer Jesus. Messiah Whom You gave Him a place above all. Lord Jesus You are supreme and today we acknowledge You and worship You as it is by Your Grace that we are saved. Lord bless our Visitors and grant us all Your Divine Providence as we go in Faith. Make your days count, invest your time, not just use it, spending your time on the wrong thing is losing time. ‘Gain’ time by spending it wisely. Invest in God’s great commission, ‘He made you an Ambassador’.

Time spent cannot be redeemed.  Time is like our words.

Words… once spoken cannot be recalled, you can recall a car, but not words.

Some Words spoken is like a spent bullet, it is fired and does damage.

Word of Praise is like a poem, delivered in harmony and instead of damages, it heals the wound and calms the soul.

Word are expressions of our intention, and our intent should be good, and our expression should be of giving thanks to the Lord.

Today, as we express our gratitude to our Lord, we can come to Jesus without an appointment. This, we cannot do in the case of going to the dentist, the doctor, or even to service your car, you need an appointment.  But, when it comes to church, there is no need for an appointment, and right now we can impromptu go to the Lord at any time.

Psalm 37:4 [Full Chapter]

Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

What is the secret here? The ‘desires of the heart could be a lot of things, a big house, a luxury car, etc., could these be part of God’s supply? Maybe, all good things are from Him.

Romans 8:28

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

2 Corinthians 9:8 In Context 

And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.

What did we just read?

God will make His Grace flow freely upon you,  will you ‘Always’ have full sufficiency of all things in abundance? Yes, God did say this. But the caveat is… all in abundance for the good work that He has commissioned us to do.

As we seek the Lord, let us remember…

Romans 11: 33-36

33 Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!

34 “For who has known the mind of the Lord?
Or who has become His counselor?”
35 “Or who has first given to Him

Finding what you love to do is 50% of a successful career.  Getting to do what you love to do is the big challenge, overcome the barriers… Start with Jesus.

We can modify the genes, breed hybrid plants, as our quest to produce a disease resistance plants, we have GMO etc. but, without God’s creation we have nothing. Without water, seed stocks, etc., we  have nothing to build on. 

Finding what we love to do could be defined as ‘Do-Nothing’ but this this accomplishes ‘zero’, so we set goals and implement this by a plan that requires resources, action and doing the right things.

Luck is just a notion of getting a favorable result from the endeavors, the success of the endeavor will be accomplished by preparedness, execution, and follow-through to derive the benefits of the project. To this end it is not ‘Luck’ it is where being prepared meeting the opportunity.

Success is an excellent end result, but when success yields to Pride, this is the new beginning that will not end well.

The Bible tells us of successful leaders, some got there through devious means, even murder, corruption, and abuse of power. Maybe this is a description of former kings…

Judges 9:

In Judges 9, we learn of the tyranny of Abimelech, who gained power by committing murder. God had not called him to a position of leadership. His carnal ambition and lust for power were his only call. He surrounded himself with a group of scoundrels who hastened his downfall.

History gives us examples of leaders of nations in our own century who have milked the economy instead of building it, stolen from the people and sent the money to the proverbial Swiss bank account. When things begin to crumble economically and politically, the leader gets in his private jet and flees to another country where he lives in comfort.

The global scene is changing, the quest and mission of Marxism is still alive, and communism by any other name is just a repackaging as their symbol which is still the Hammer and the sickle. So, as we consume 85% of what communist China produces, are we supporting their cause? The answer is yes.

Shopping for vitamin supplements, most labels do not disclose the source of origin, why? Probably it is made in China, so these are the ones that is passed over today. A great labeling to move product is to have “NOT MADE IN CHINA” in bold prints. COVID-19 was the kiss of death for China made supplements.

Today, in the USA we are energy independent, food sufficient, but yet 80+-% of vitamins are from china.

Is it because they can make it better? Certainly not, but they can make it cheaper by less regulations and sourcing the raw materials from sources that are not regulated. By short cutting the manufacturing process, eliminate many inspections and approval processes, this produces a riskier product.

 So, our devotional today is more a blog. But the core issue of achieving success through deception is caused by the lack of God in their intent. One thing we must never do is to envy those that got there by deception and frauds.

The fruits of deception end with an evil ending…

    reap the fruit of unfailing love,

    for it is time to seek the Lord,

Good News -His Faithfulness: The Word Becomes Flesh

John 1: 14-18

14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. 15 John bore witness of Him and cried out, saying, “This was He of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me is preferred before me, for He was before me.’”

16 And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. 17 For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. 18 No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.

The ‘WORD’ which is as spoken by God, when He said…Let there be Light; Jesus is the Light of the World (The world being us His Creation) Earth is just a planet, just like our bodies are just a ‘Tent’ housing the Spirit from God, as it is said we are a living—temple. We are made in His likeness and being in the Likeness of God, we never die, we are eternal, as we read when Jesus said… Father receive my Spirit, and as Stephen said Jesus receive my Spirit.  We will in Spirit transition to a place that is eternal.

EVENING:

And this is a choice that we must make… so the question is choosing whom you will serve.

Brothers and Sisters, Friends let us come to Christ and in simple Faith like a Child that trust the parents, let us be still and know that Jesus our Redeemer is God, let us Praise Him for His Love, His Grace and His Redemption that gave us Life-everlasting.  Let us also know that Jesus is the same Yesterday and Today and He is eternal, and we can come to Him boldly as He said… “Come unto me” as Children of the Most High, we can be wise and lay up treasures in Heaven and build on the ROCK. Because He is the Solid Rock.

Prayer: Father in Heaven we thank you in Jesus our Lord and savior who Redeemed us and placed us on the Solid Rock. Lord today be with us and our Visitors and grant us Your Divine Grace as we go with Your Peace. Thank You Lord for Your faithfulness as we ask Your Blessings and Your Providence on our Visitors and us all. Things to do for the rest of the years… keep yourself hydrated, drink 8-10 glasses of water, take your vitamins, eat more leafy green vegetables , Fish and fruits, lower sugar intake and exercise. Laugh a lot.

Lots of sleep is important … are we doing them to be healthy? Most of us maybe doing some of the above but nothing less than following the advice will get the result needed for a healthy lifestyle.

Just as we need to maintain the routine, we need to come to the Lord, but not in a ‘Routine’ manner. To come to the Lord  ritualistically without the Spiritual experience there would be no relationship being created.

Theme:  He is Faithful…. John 3: 16 is probably the first scripture verse that we would learn in Sunday’s school… ‘For God so loved the world’, this short verse is so complete in a ‘Story of God’s Love and His Assurance.  Yet the simplicity of this ‘One-liner’ may have saved more sinners those other verses in the bible. Just like the favorite chorus… ‘Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so’-

Jesus said we are to come to him with the faith of a child.  A child’s trust is such an act of innocence; this is how the Savior said we are to approach Him.  During our Lord’s 33 years on earth, His walk with the Disciples were always on friendly cordial terms, no time ever did our Lord placed them in a ‘Me’ – ‘they’ situation, He referred to them as ‘Friends’ and as Joint Heirs, the human trace of ‘Familiarity breeds contempt’ has always been with us humans, but we must remind ourselves that Jesus is Supreme, and is God in One, and no one has ever seen God, except Him, and as Jesus said, “If you have seen me you have seen the Father”

For the word of the LORD is right and true; he is faithful in all he does.

To receive His Peace, come to Christ today, just as you are…

To know Christ:  Repent (Turn from your sins) and by faith receive Jesus Christ into your heart and life and follow Him in obedience as your Lord and Savior.

Pray this prayer of Commitment: Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name, I pray Lord Jesus… Amen.

Heavenly Father in Jesus name we come, Lord Jesus today as we seek Your Guidance and Your divine Providence in our lives, Lord let us be led by Your Holy Spirit.  Lord we look to that day in Faith, when You appear, we shall see You as You are, and we shall be transformed in the twinkling of an eye. Lord Your Word said, In You dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily, and we are complete in You Lord Jesus, and You are the head of all principalities and Power. Waiting for the right time is probably not necessary, just as Moses was waiting of the right time to cross the Red Sea, God said ‘Just do it’

In life there are more opportunities than adversities, why? Because we sometimes ignore the opportunity, keep asking…

Are we too busy dealing with the challenges of life’s daily demands so that we are missing the opportunities?

Just go… Stop asking.  God told Moses to go… Stop asking, go and lead your people

Thoughts for the day:  Know when to Pray and when to move and carry out the mission

Text: Exodus 14: 13 Moses answered the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the LORD will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. 14 The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.”

Commentary:

Our God is a God with logics, and He applies practical functions.  He parted the Red Sea for His people and He jammed the wheels of Pharaoh’s chariots. There are times when God is telling us to stop praying or stop looking and asking, why?  Because after we have made our request known we need to act on the request in

Faith knowing that whatever we ask in His Name, He will grant.

1 John 5:15

And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.

Just like when Moses was looking to God in: Exodus 14: 15-16 New International Version (NIV)

15 Then the LORD said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelites to move on. 16 Raise your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea to divide the water so that the Israelites can go through the sea on dry ground.

Waiting around is not what Jesus did. He was constantly on the move, by age Twelve He was already full of knowledge from His Father. We saw Him in the Synagogue questioning and answering the elders with authority, we saw Him over-turning the tables of the money changers in the Temple, and we saw Him healing many.

Jesus made things happen… He was not waiting for things to ‘happen’ He was proactive when He healed the Blind on the Sabbath. He willingly went to the Cross and He came back alive and spent 40 days with His disciples. 

Good News -His Faithfulness:

His plan for us is already laid, all we have to do is in Faith Trust Him.   No Due Diligence needed here because His Grace is given to us. Remember Grace is ‘Undeserved’, and it is by His Grace that we can have what Jesus offered…A Life and more Abundantly endowed by our Lord. We are His, as He purchased us at a price, and He lives in us.

So, let us do our due diligence in charting our future. In Christ He is our Sovereign God in One of the Holy Trinity, we can trust Him, He is the incomparable Lord, and Jesus is our Redeemer.
There is one Mediator between man and God, and He is Christ Jesus
Jesus is Sovereign & Eternal
Our Lord Jesus was there from the beginning of it all
Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever.
We are made Joint-Heirs in Jesus to His Kingdom
We are saved by Grace and not of anything we do
His Blood of Atonement is the Seal of His Redemption
He went to prepare a place for us, and.
Jesus said He will return and those in Christ will be with Him forever

    Rejoice with Joy today knowing that the future is bright, because He Jesus is the Bright Morning Star, He is the Beginning and the End, and His ending is the beginning of what we refer to as; ‘The Best is yet to come’

    Principle: Our Redeemer lives…  Rejoice for He chose us.  Have Victory in Christ Jesus He is Faithful forever.

    Lord today as I accept Your Peace, I will not fear what man can do, as You have provided Your Armor…

    EVENING:

    Conclusion:

    Prayer: Heavenly Father in Jesus our Lord and Savior we come. Lord Jesus because You were there from the beginning of it all, Lord you are the Great ‘I AM”, we thank You for Your Graciousness and Lord we thank You for Your divine Redemption. Lord we come in the shadow of the empty cross, but we know that were two or more are gathered, You are in our Midst… Lord thank You for sending the Holy Spirit, and let it be a ‘Day of Pentecost’ every day until You return. Lord we ask Your blessings on us all and for our many Visitors. Lord grants us Your Favors and equip us to serve as we are privileged to be a vessel for You. We pray in Your precious name Lord Jesus to You is the Power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen.

    Therefore, I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

    While the above is true, to get a bumper crop, we must first prepare the soil, get the seeds, and plant them, they cannot produce unless we do our part.

    We also must water and nurture the plants to bear a crop.

    So, we our goals are God endowed when we choose the end results for good. Why?

    Romans 8:28

    And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

    Let us analyze this…

    1. God works for the ‘good of those who love Him’
    2. God works for the good for…’those who have been called according to His purpose’

    So, the ‘Good’ is endowed to those who love Him, and the good will happen to those He has called for His purpose.

    Therefore, God recruited you to be in partnership with Him, as He endowed each of use…

    Philippians 4:13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

    Now knowing that all the above is what He taught us for an abundant life, let us have an intimate live with Christ, walk and talk with Him, give Him the Glory, and spread the Good News and let other know Him.

    Charting the future, revising the business plans, preparing for challenges, and hoping for the best. Do this by doing what is said in Matthew 6:33

    Making a New year’s resolution is a promissory note to yourself that will not be repaid. These are the most frequently made resolutions:

    Exercise more
    Lose weight
    Get organized
    Learn a new skill or hobby 
    Live life to the fullest
    Save more money / spend less money
    Quit smoking
    Spend more time with family and friends
    Travel more
    10. Read more.

    If you made any of the above, revisit them in a few weeks and do a self-check.

    When the above is combined with the chores of everyday life, most of the above will be in a delinquent state. But we must remember that we have 365 days ahead to accomplish at least 50% of the list.

    As Winston Churchill said… “Never give up”

    Fortunately, Edison never gave up too…

    Thomas Edison's teachers said he was "too stupid to learn anything." He was fired from his first two jobs for being "non-productive." As an inventor, Edison made 1,000 unsuccessful attempts at inventing the light bulb. On the 1,200 trial he succeeded. Today we have LED bulbs, but they still use the Edison screw.

    We should revise the above list by adding Bible to the 10th item and making it number one.

    Matthew 6:33-34 gives us the God’s secret to a wonderful life…

    But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

    Notice, the result will be… A: these things will be given to you “As Well”? why ‘as well? Because He comes first. So, when He is Preeminent in our lives, all things work together for Good.

    And remember He gets the First Fruit…

    Things are getting more expensive… not really, it is the lower buying power of the money… This used to be called inflation. But inflation is now calculated differently so, we do not see the facts.

    As we look at the global pandemic and the ‘Stimulus’ packages to which trillions are spent to keep the economy going. The aftermath of all this will certainly create a new round of inflation.  As the currency loses it buying power it takes more money to just maintain the standard of living.

    The COVID-19 Pandemic a man-made disaster has disseminated families and businesses. The introduction of the Vaccine will take some time to conquer the outbreak on a global level. So, as not to throw fuel on the fire, there is now a more contagious version of the Virus.

    While the challenges imposed by the Covid-19 outbreak, we still have the assurance of the Lord…

    The Lord Protection is given, receive it and acknowledge His care.

    Psalm 34:7 The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them.

    We have the Providence of the Lord…

    We are empowered by our Lord…
