Morning:

Focus: Do you feel privileged today? Are you appreciating your self-worth? Are you being helped or helping others?

The Rich and Famous, the ‘Achievers’ and where are they today?

Text: Luke 16:11

So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches?

Luke 16:10-12 (in Context) Luke 16 (Whole Chapter)

Commentary:

The autobiographies of many famous achievers in the 20th century consist of many well-known industrialists, financiers and even politicians. Many served their own grandstanding of wealth accumulation without much care for others; some built their fortunes around exploitation of fellowmen and earth’s environment, and some made their mark in their contributions to humanity, in medicine, technology, aviation, agriculture and other things we use in our daily lives.

Today we look at D. L. Moody an uneducated man by today’s world standards; that in faith built by the Grace of our Lord projects with the core intention of helping others and spreading the Gospel. From his humble beginning we see a broadcasting network, a Bible Institute and many building blocks along the way that benefited his fellowmen.

Man is like a Broadway show, it runs for a season, and sometimes they continue for several seasons, but it will come to an end. Sometimes the show comes to an abrupt ending   Even tyrants that oppress many suffers an ending and sometimes a not too comfortable ending.  So what is life? 70, 80, 90 or a hundred years.  The years of bliss and wealth will soon pass and then one must face the reality of choosing his ultimate home.

EVENING:

Choosing the ultimate home is something man has never achieved.  Not too far from my home is an ultra-exclusive estate on the Bay known as Journey’s end… the average price of a home runs into millions of dollars. Here is an estate designed by the former head of America’s largest aluminum mining company that spent his life accumulating wealth and endowed his wealth to a foundation that bears his famous name. His final project “Journey’s End’ was an appropriately named destination where the rich and famous gather and we hope that the gathering was in the name of our Lord.  Unfortunately, the multi-million dollar homes are mere buildings being taxed by man while the former owners move on to eternity.  Our Lord Jesus said, “I go to prepare a place for you” and Jesus once described His abode as Paradise.

We spoke about the ‘Richest person in the graveyard’ and not knowing Jesus such a person is the ‘Poorest’ person in the grave. And that’s where the unsaved remains.  But those in Christ saved by his Grace, are considered the ‘real wealthy ones’ but is not the ‘richest person in the graveyard, why? Because their graves are empty as in the twinkling of any eye all in Christ are transitioned to the presence of our Lord.  As the Bible said, to be absent from the body and be present with the Lord.

The answer to the question above, what is life? Our Lord said be ‘fruitful and multiply’ and He said we are to bring His Good News to the ends of the earth.  So considering the brevity of life, we are told by God to use our time and make use of it and sow seeds for a bountiful harvest.  Read about the story told by Jesus of the Rich man and the beggar. Principle: Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.1 Peter 5:7-9 (in Context) 1 Peter 5 (Whole Chapter)

Conclusion:

Heaven is mention in the Bible (KJV) 551 Times
In Revelation Heaven is described as an unimaginable place of Splendor...

 Revelation 21:18
The construction of its wall was of jasper; and the city was pure gold, like clear glass.
Revelation 21:17-19 (in Context) Revelation 21 (Whole Chapter)

Gold is considered a precious metal, and it is selling at an all-time high, but instead of bricks & mortar, the Kingdom of our Lord is made from pure Gold.

There was an old movie that showed a man dying of thirst in the dessert and he had a Gold bar, then came a couple and he reach out and offered them the gold bar in exchange for a drink of water... the girl said to her friend, “look he is offering us this piece of metal in exchange for a drink of water, he apparently believes that there is value in what he is offering”.

The movie went on to explain that gold was no longer a precious metal, and after the dying man was given a drink of water, he explain that he had stolen the Gold bars and was in prison for a very long time, but when he was released he went where he hid the Gold not knowing that it was just a another piece of metal.

Action/Coming to our Lord: As a custodian of what we receive as the Favor of our Lord, we need to continue to ‘Seek’ Him, and by Seeking Him we will ‘Love’ Him and His Love will overflow to others through us.

As Stewards we are just caretakers (Custodians) until we journey on to Glory in His presence, and this point all earthly possessions that we held are left behind.

Prayer: Father in Heaven, in Jesus we come, Lord as You have revealed that in Your Kingdom, the value of what we treasure will be of no value as there will be no need for earthly treasures, as You have made all of what we consider to be of value to be the elements of your Kingdom. No longer will there be any fear of any thief breaking in as all of what we need will be provided and You our Lord will radiate the Light with Joy and Splendor. Lord thank you for giving us a glimpse of what You have prepared for all Your followers.  Lord bless our Visitors and grant us Your peace and in awe we reflect upon Your care of your chosen ones. But Lord You have also set boundaries and we seek your guidance to stay within the boundaries to please You Lord. In Faith we Pray Lord Jesus and to you are the Power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen

Devotionals for Monday March 30, 2015

Morning:

Focus: If you could choose who would you like to be: Joseph, Moses, Elijah, Samuel, Peter or Paul? Who would you be?  All of the above men were chosen by God to His messengers.

Joseph was the most loyal person one could put in charge, just as Pharaoh trusted him. Moses’ mission was to provide for his families in the time of peril. Moses was able to bring his father and brothers and families to Egypt where there were an abundant of food during the time of the great famine.

Moses: Deuteronomy 34:  10 But since then there has not arisen in Israel a prophet like Moses, whom the Lord knew face to face, 11 in all the signs and wonders which the Lord sent him to do in the land of Egypt, before Pharaoh, before all his servants, and in all his land, 12 and by all that mighty power and all the great terror which Moses performed in the sight of all Israel.

Elijah: 2 Kings 1: 7 Then he said to them, “What kind of man was it who came up to meet you and told you these words?”

8 So they answered him, “A hairy man wearing a leather belt around his waist.”

And he said, “It is Elijah the Tishbite.”

9 Then the king sent to him a captain of fifty with his fifty men. So he went up to him; and there he was, sitting on the top of a hill. And he spoke to him: “Man of God, the king has said, ‘Come down!’”

10 So Elijah answered and said to the captain of fifty, “If I am a man of God, then let fire come down from heaven and consume you and your fifty men.” And fire came down from heaven and consumed him and his fifty. 11 Then he sent to him another captain of fifty with his fifty men.

Samuel:  Known as the ‘King-maker’ chosen by God… Samuel anointed both King Saul and King David.

Peter:  Peter a disciple of Jesus, Peter who denied Christ at the trial, and we recall when Jesus told Peter that he would deny Him (Jesus) three times, Peter who vehemently disown any association with Jesus, and when the rooster crowed, Peter wept as he then knew that Jesus was really the Son of God… The poignant statement repeated by the angel to Mary when they came to the ‘empty-tomb’… Mark 16: 6 Mark 16: 6 (NKJV)

He Is Risen

But he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid Him.But go, tell His disciples—and Peter—that He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him, as He said to you.”  Note:  Jesus remembered to add…’ and Peter’  Jesus knew that Peter truly loved Him and that Peter repented, as we see on the day of Pentecost, Peter spoke and over 5,000 came to Christ.

Paul:  Saul who later was known as Paul; Acts 9 New King James Version (NKJV)

The Damascus Road: Saul Converted

Acts 9 Then Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest and asked letters from him to the synagogues of Damascus, so that if he found any who were of the Way, whether men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem.

As he journeyed he came near Damascus, and suddenly a light shone around him from heaven. Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?”

And he said, “Who are You, Lord?”

Then the Lord said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. [a] It is hard for you to kick against the goads.”

So he, trembling and astonished, said, “Lord, what do You want me to do?”

Then the Lord said to him, “Arise and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”

And the men who journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice but seeing no one. Then Saul arose from the ground, and when his eyes were opened he saw no one. But they led him by the hand and brought him into Damascus. And he was three days without sight, and neither ate nor drank.

Paul wrote 13 Books and possibly the book of Hebrews which was once called Paul’s, but it could be written by Barnabas or Apollos, yet all of Paul’s writing is 50% of the New Testament.

Each of the above men had influential roles in the history of God’s reaching out to mankind.  Moses who was schooled in Egypt he was a good record keeper, so Moses compiled and wrote the five books of the Bible.

So these were the superstars of history.  But in God’s Kingdom there will be no super-Christians. Nicodemus will be there, he became a follower of Jesus. Nicodemus and Joseph of Arimathea on the day before the Sabbath prepared Christ for burial.

Only those who are ‘Born-Again’ will be there…John 3:7 (NKJV) Jesus said this…

Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’

His Faithfulness:

EVENING:

Coming to The Lord:

The Grace granted by our Lord is a Priceless Gift because we cannot earn, buy of work our way to obtain this ‘Priceless Gift’ this is the Gift of Jesus’ Blood that He shed for our Sins. Blood is a Sacrament, and His Blood was Sacrificed for our Sins. But His Grace offering will expire and upon expiration the ‘Day of our Lord’ also known as Judgment day, it will be too late to receive His Pardon, therefore we need to have His Assurance to be covered by His Blood. You will say, how can I be sure if I accept Jesus by asking Him to redeem me? This ‘Act of Faith’ will reveal to you His Grace and as He said you will be a new creation… His Holy Spirit will come and dwell in you and guide you. Does this mean that I am no longer a sinner? No, but you are now redeemed and is ‘enlightened’ knowing that without His Redemption you are condemned, but now in Christ you are in Victory.

Just as He told the Samaritan woman at the well “go and sin no more”. You may ask what if I commit another sin. Because we are sinners, and are vulnerable to sin, we must confess and Repent of any Sin to our Lord and ask to be forgiven, but repetitive intentional Sinning is a Mockery to our Lord, and He will not be mocked.

Prayer is the ‘Pillar of Faith’ and coming to our Lord many times each day will strengthen us against the temptation, and He will make a way for us to overcome the wiles of the devil. Praise our Lord Jesus for He said…”Greater is He in you that who is in this world’ meaning by His Spirit in You can do all things through Him, Christ Jesus. Jesus is the Greatest Gift, as he gave Himself in exchange for us and by His Grace we are saved.

Prayer: Heavenly Father we come in Faith knowing our Lord Jesus is our Mediator to You Father… Lord Jesus as You said Faith can move mountain… and the mountain in our lives are the temptation of this world that is a Broadway to utter darkness. Lord You have illuminated the way to You Lord be with our Visitors as we present You as the Light of the World, and by the eternal flame described by You Lord. Devotionals for Sunday March 29, 2015

MORNING:

FOCUS: The Battle Hymn of the Republic…  It is coming into Holy Week and we reflect on the 1st, 4th & 5th stanza of the Hymn written during the civil war era of America.

As our Lord single-handedly fought the battle of man’s condemnation leading to His crucifixion as God Incarnate, He said…
Matthew 26:53
Or do you think that I cannot now pray to My Father, and He will provide Me with more than twelve legions of angels? In Context | Full Chapter |

Twelve legions would be 72,000 Angels…Remember the power of God exceeds man’s capability as seen when Elisha prayed and

2 Kings 6: 17 And Elisha prayed, and said, “Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. 18 So when the Syrians came down to him, Elisha prayed to the Lord, and said, “Strike this people, I pray, with blindness.” And He struck them with blindness according to the word of Elisha.

Looking ahead as we observe “Good-Friday’ a day called good which was confusing to me as a child I oftentimes wondered why was the day of Christ’s crucifixion called good? Now we know… it was because of His Sacrifice on the cross in our place, which was God’s Redemption of us all… and for this reason why it is called ‘Good-Friday’

We can triumphantly sign this beloved hymn knowing that the battle is not ours it is The Lord’s… Praise our Lord Jesus for His Mercies and His Unconditional Love fulfilling the Scriptures and the Gospel is now more than Good News it is a fact, as He paid it All!

Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord;

He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored;

He hath loosed the fateful lightning of His terrible swift sword:

His truth is marching on.

(Chorus)

Glory, glory, hallelujah!

Glory, glory, hallelujah!

Glory, glory, hallelujah!

His truth is marching on.

In the beauty of the lilies Christ was born across the sea,

With a glory in His bosom that transfigures you and me.

As He died to make men holy, let us die to make men free*, [12]

While God is marching on.

(Chorus)

Glory, glory, hallelujah!

Glory, glory, hallelujah!

Glory, glory, hallelujah!

While God is marching on.

He is coming like the glory of the morning on the wave,

He is Wisdom to the mighty, He is Succour to the brave,

So the world shall be His footstool, and the soul of wrong His slave,

Our God is marching on.

(Chorus)

Glory, glory, hallelujah!

Glory, glory, hallelujah!

Glory, glory, hallelujah.

Our God is marching on.

Notice the key words are:

  • By Prayer & Petition
  • With Thanksgiving
  • Continue your request to God

Give thanks to our Faithful Lord and Savior as He provides all our needs… as stated in:

Devotionals for Saturday March 28, 2015

MORNING:

FOCUS: The privilege of joining an exclusive club, to be a ‘Member’ and be serving others… We are set-aside for Him as Jesus said you are no longer called servant but friends…

In this world man has made themselves into hierarchy with private clubs that will only allow certain people of social standing, race, and religion.  In God’s equation, social stranding, race and religion is meaningless.

Having being members of an internationally known service club under the charter of a brotherhood society, we would spend more time running the club and maintaining the functions of promoting the club and then reaching out to many programs to benefit the needy. In some way we could be called organized bureaucrats, working under a bureaucratic system, more like a government.

The ultimate exclusive-club is so exclusive that the non-members cannot joint even if they tried.  You have to be invited and be sponsored by a member in good standing.

In the realms of God’s Kingdom, He is reaching out with open arms and an invitation is made with your name on it.

He is also standing there to welcome you in.

EVENING:

Coming to the Lord:

In God’s Kingdom, there will be no Hierarchy, no ‘super’ Christians.  Because we will all be ‘Sanctified’.

I was speaking with an associate of mine and I asked by the way what model of Lamborghini do you drive, the answer was, “ I have the Avantador, so I said I guess you do not drive this to the supermarket, he said if I do, I have to find a special parking spot.  According to Google ® their ‘driver-less’ cars will become more in use. In summation, all of our achievement are just a little more advanced over the men that were trying to build a tower to heaven (The tower of Babel) the Space station we have in space will come crashing down to earth one day, our moon rover is like looking at Mars through a pin-hole. Remember our Lord Jesus Ascended to heaven by a Divine Levitation, so we acknowledge our limited wisdom, and affirm that…”All things are Possible with God”

Good News -His Faithfulness:

His Promise:

From the day of Creation God provided us with the goodness of His creation and gave us dominion over all living things. Just imagine, the creation of Heaven and Earth were made for Mankind… just think that God in His Infinite Wisdom by His Intelligent design did all this for us. Why” because He loves us... But we betrayed His trust and sin entered the lives of humans, now as descendants of Adam we inherited this blemish called Sin.  But nothing surprises our Majestic God; He provided a way for us to be redeemed by the Blood of Jesus. Jesus, who was with God and the Holy Spirit from the beginning of it all, Jesus was predestined to be our Redeemer.

Conclusion:

His Faithfulness:

God placed us here to enjoy the worship of him and the intimacy of his love for us
This is the big joy that he gave us so forget the short term pitfall disguised as joy
2: God named his creation i.e. Light, the expanse Sky, and he separated the darkness from light and the water from dry land.

  • God named it all,
  • The defining focus of God is Love not power
  • God brings order
  • God commanded; us to be fruitful and multiply
  • God blesses His living beings
  • God gave us lordship over all living things and dominion over earth

Prayer: Father we come in Jesus our Redeemer and our Sovereign Eternal God in One of Your Holy Trinity, Lord Jesus in awe we come knowing that all things were created by You as The Father Spoke and You acted in His Holy Spirit. Lord today we come to You seeking Your Divine Blessings and Your guidance, as we say that Your Hands are ‘Over’ us, and not in what we do, as You Lord do not need help, so we place all things in Your Hands and look to You knowing that all things are possible for those who trust in You Lord. Lord Your Unconditional love abounds in what You have created for mankind, Lord today let us be good-stewards of Your mission and bless our Visitors coming to this Website. We pray in Your Precious Name Lord Jesus, to You are the Power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen.

Devotionals for Friday March 27, 2015

MORNING:

FOCUS: For He Chose us in Him before the Creation of the World to be Holy and blameless in His Sight… So you are special. Ephesians 1:4

Text:

1 Peter 2:9

New International Version (NIV)

9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

Commentary:

Ready to face Friday morning?  Many of us like Fridays, as it is the last day of the week. TGIF is a welcome relief from the week of challenges. When you are a Christian we look at Fridays with Hope and Trust knowing that we can cope in Christ’s strength to Praise our Lord… Phil 4:13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.  Happy Monday!

Jesus said… Matthew 10: 30, 32, 33   And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 32 “Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven. 33 But whoever disowns me before others, I will disown before my Father in heaven.

Stop to think… Looking up and Thanking our Father, that He chose us and you because He has a mission for us all… and before the Creation of the World He Chose Jesus to Redeem us and to be made Holy and Blameless in His Sight… How Gracious is our God, Jesus our Messiah, Thank You Father in Jesus name… Amen.

His Promise:

We are safe in Christ, Life circumstances cannot separate you from His Love. Romans 8:38-39  38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

His Faithfulness:

Matthews 10: 40 “Anyone who welcomes you welcomes me, and anyone who welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me. 41 Whoever welcomes a prophet as a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward, and whoever welcomes a righteous person as a righteous person will receive a righteous person’s reward. 42 And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones who is my disciple, truly I tell you, that person will certainly not lose their reward.”

Action:

As we step out in Faith today, let us take the baton and run to the finish line knowing that our Lord and Savior who is the Author and Finisher of our Faith is there waiting to award His Priceless Gift.

What a privilege our Lord has given us, this is far more valuable that all Olympic Gold Medals as the Olympic Gold is worth only $620.70 each. Imagine being CO-HEIR with Jesus?  Yes, and this is already confirmed, not just something we wish for and have to earn, it is already given to us, all we have to do is to receive it. There are no Judges, no dispute or can anyone contest it, as it is GIVEN by The Almighty!

“HIS GRACE IS GRANTED TO US THROUGH HIS CRUCIFIXION AND RESURRECTION AT CALVARY” HE IS OFFERING HIS PRICELESS GIFT OF SALVATION TO US, IT IS GIVEN BY HIS UNCONDITONAL LOVE.

Coming to our Lord:

Come and receive His Gift to us all, it is Un-Merited as we did not earn it, nor can we buy it is by His Graciousness that we can be a beneficiary.  As He did set us apart from this world; 1 Corinthians 12: 27 Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.

Our Lord cleared the way for us to come to HIM:

1 Thessalonians 3:11

Now may our God and Father himself and our Lord Jesus clear the way for us to come to you.

1 Thessalonians 3:10-12 (in Context) 1 Thessalonians 3 (Whole Chapter)

Conclusion:

Hebrews 4:14

[Jesus the Great High Priest] Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess.

Hebrews 4:13-15 (in Context) Hebrews 4 (Whole Chapter)

Jesus is Supreme… Hebrews 5:5

New International Version (NIV)

5 In the same way, Christ did not take on himself the glory of becoming a high priest. But God said to him,

“You are my Son;

Today I have become your Father.”

Prayer:

Gracious God our Heavenly Father in Jesus we come, Lord Jesus because You are Holy and by Your Redemption we were redeemed by Your Grace, Lord by Your Sacrifice at Calvary we can come boldly to You Lord; as You said come and You will give us Rest. Lord today as we go forward in Faith, equip us and enable us by your Holy Spirit and lead us to Green Pastures and Still Water of Life. We seek you Lord and Praise You for Your Unconditional Love and Thank You for Your Graciousness. In Your Holy name we pray Lord Jesus, to You is the Power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen.

Think on this today:

Because Jesus said, He came that we may have an abundant life and have it 'more' abundantly... why did Jesus said 'more' in describing 'Abundant'? Because He has prepared a way for each of us to have a 'Double-Portion' and His double-portion is an eternal life in Him.

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. 17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. 18 And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.

We frequently write about Stephen looking up and seeing Jesus, even at the moment of Stephen being killed He said Jesus receive my spirit and forgive them.  This is a picture of God’s Peace upon those who know Jesus and He is there to welcome those calling to Him, and welcoming them to a place of Splendor.

We wrote about a Kingdom not made by human’s hands… and this is His Kingdom as declared in Revelation

TEXT: Revelation 21:

  The New Jerusalem

Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls filled with the seven last plagues came to me[f] and talked with me, saying, “Come, I will show you the bride, the Lamb’s wife.”[g] 10 And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the holy[h] Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, 11 having the glory of God. Her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal. 12 Also she had a great and high wall with twelve gates, and twelve angels at the gates, and names written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel: 13 three gates on the east, three gates on the north, three gates on the south, and three gates on the west.

14 Now the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names[I] of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. 15 And he who talked with me had a gold reed to measure the city, its gates, and its wall. 16 The city is laid out as a square; its length is as great as its breadth. And he measured the city with the reed: twelve thousand furlongs. Its length, breadth, and height are equal.17 Then he measured its wall: one hundred and forty-four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of an angel. 18 The construction of its wall was of jasper; and the city was pure gold, like clear glass. 19 The foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with all kinds of precious stones: the first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald, 20 the fifth sardonyx, the sixth sardius, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst. 21 The twelve gates were twelve pearls: each individual gate was of one pearl. And the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass.

The Glory of the New Jerusalem

22 But I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. 23 The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, [j] for the glory[k] of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light. 24 And the nations of those who are saved[l] shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it.[m] 25 Its gates shall not be shut at all by day (there shall be no night there). 26 And they shall bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it. [n] 27 But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes[o] an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.

Devotional:

Coming to the Lord

As we approach Easter and the day that is called ‘Good-Friday’ as a child I was oftentimes confused why would they call the day that our Lord was Crucified ‘Good’? And three days after there was chocolate, candied eggs and novelty candies with little chicks inside…  At this year’s Easter-Egg hunt a tradition of many, let us explain to our youth the real meaning of ‘Good-Friday’ and the Joy of the ‘Resurrection Morning’.

What a glorious morning that was and it still is for that first ‘Easter-Morning’ of the empty grave, the day our Lord Jesus rose Triumphant from the dead. Yes; He died, He rose and He spent 40 days with His disciples, was seen of thousands.  His Resurrection was Divine, but His death was also Divine, because he fulfilled the Prophecy written over 700 years before Our Jesus came on that Christmas day. Isaiah 53

We have these three major events of all times in the history of mankind…

  1. The day was 0000, when Christ was born, it became 01-01 Day One of our Calendar
  2. Thirty-Three Years after the Crucifixion of Jesus which we call ‘Good-Friday’, and;
  3. Three days after His death when the sun went day at noon for three hours, we have His Triumphant Resurrection which is Easter
  1. There is one more monumental event yet to come… and this is “The Day of The Lord” Because He said, I shall return.

John 16:9-10

of sin, because they do not believe in Me; 10 of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; John 16:9-11 (in Context) John 16 (Whole Chapter)

John 16:17

Then some of His disciples said among themselves, “What is this that He says to us, ‘A little while, and you will not see Me; and again a little while, and you will see Me’; and, ‘because I go to the Father’?”

John 16:16-18 (in Context) John 16 (Whole Chapter)

Because He said that all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God, this is why His Redemption is a Priceless Gift, and cannot be purchased or earned.  It is also noted that the key word in the foregoing statement, was “ALL” therefore it means that no one can meet HIS Criterion of being Sinless…. To make us eligible to be redeemed, He died in our place and rose triumphantly, and by this we became eligible though HIS resurrection and He offers this today as His Priceless Gift of Salvation.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father in Jesus our Sovereign Eternal God in One of Your Holy Trinity we come. Lord Jesus as we stand before the empty cross Lord, we acknowledge that You are on the Throne of Righteousness and Interceding for us Lord. Thank You Lord Jesus for Your Grace and Your Priceless Gift of Redemption.  Thank You Lord for the opportunity of serving You Lord; and thank You for our Visitors, grants us all Your blessings on each. Lord bless this day and let it be a day filled with your Peace as we ask Your blessing on us all and Your favors to our Visitors. Lord Jesus to you is the Power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen.

Devotionals for Wednesday March 25, 2015

MORNING:

FOCUS:

Faith without works is futile, the farmer must plant the seeds. Seeds in the bag will not grow. Action plus Faith = Harvest

TOPIC:  His work continues when chosen leaders move on…

TEXT: 1 Thessalonians 5:12-13 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

Christian Conduct

12 But we request of you, brethren, that you appreciate those who diligently labor among you, and have charge over you in the Lord and give you instruction, 13 and that you esteem them very highly in love because of their work. Live in peace with one another.

Commentary:  When King David died, Solomon ascended to the throne and carried on the work of building the Temple. In today there are no kingdom compared to that of David & Solomon. However, there are ‘Kingdom-work’ that are truly engaged in the work of the Lord… Dawson Trotman the founder of The Navigators was taken home to be with the Lord in 1956 while the Navigators was yet a young growing organization, today it is a worldwide organization. Dwight Moody the founder of Moody Bible Institute was taken home; but Moody Institute and a worldwide broadcasting can be heard around the world.

Just like the Eunuch who accepted Jesus…

An Ethiopian Receives Christ – Acts 8: 25-40

25 So, when they had solemnly testified and spoken the word of the Lord, they started back to Jerusalem, and were preaching the gospel to many villages of the Samaritans.

26 But an angel of the Lord spoke to Philip saying, “Get up and go south to the road that descends from Jerusalem to Gaza.” (This is a desert road.) 27 So he got up and went; and there was an Ethiopian eunuch, a court official of Candace, queen of the Ethiopians, who was in charge of all her treasure; and he had come to Jerusalem to worship, 28 and he was returning and sitting in his chariot, and was reading the prophet Isaiah. 29 Then the Spirit said to Philip, “Go up and join this chariot.”30 Philip ran up and heard him reading Isaiah the prophet, and said, “Do you understand what you are reading?” 31 And he said, “Well, how could I, unless someone guides me?” And he invited Philip to come up and sit with him. 32 Now the passage of Scripture which he was reading was this:

“He was led as a sheep to slaughter;
And as a lamb before its shearer is silent,
So He does not open His mouth.
33 “In humiliation His judgment was taken away;
Who will relate His generation?
For His life is removed from the earth.”

34 The eunuch answered Philip and said, “Please tell me, of whom does the prophet say this? Of himself or of someone else?” 35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning from this Scripture he preached Jesus to him. 36 As they went along the road they came to some water; and the eunuch *said, “Look! Water! What prevents me from being baptized?” 37 [And Philip said, “If you believe with all your heart, you may.” And he answered and said, “I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.”]38 And he ordered the chariot to stop; and they both went down into the water, Philip as well as the eunuch, and he baptized him. 39 When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord snatched Philip away; and the eunuch no longer saw him, but went on his way rejoicing. 40 But Philip found himself at Azotus, and as he passed through he kept preaching the gospel to all the cities until he came to Caesarea.

From that event The Gospel of the Good News was brought to Ethiopia, today there are many followers of Christ still in the land of Ethiopia.

China a land with 1.351 Billion people today with an estimated Christian population of approximately 159 million* Christians in China as of 2013.  J. Hudson Taylor: a Pioneer Missionary an English missionary to China. Founder, China Inland Mission. Taylor spent five years translating the New Testament into the Ningpo dialect. At his death in 1905, there were 205 stations with 849 missionaries, and 125,000 Chinese Christians in the China Inland Mission.  The China Inland Mission was the largest mission agency in China and it is estimated that Taylor was responsible for more people being converted to Christianity than at any other time since Paul the Apostle brought Christian teaching to Europe. Out of the 8,500 Protestant missionaries that were at one time at work in China, 1000 of them were from the CIM.[17] It was Dixon Edward Hoste, the successor to Hudson Taylor, who originally expressed the self-governing principles of the Three-Self Patriotic Movement, at the time he was articulating the goal of the China Inland Mission to establish an indigenous Chinese church that was free from foreign control.

Noteworthy…  There are now more Christians in China than in the United States, but this number still represent only about 11% of China's 1.4 billion people. As large as the Lord's harvest is in China, it has only just begun.

EVENING:

Let us pray for a spiritual awakening in the USA… are we becoming a nation of ‘stiff-necked’ people with ‘Idols’… just like the Israelite when they came into Canaan they assimilated and adopted paganism.  We all know the story of the Babylonian’s capture of the northern portion of the land of Judah, let us avoid this by turning to our Lord.

Our idols are not the idol to the ‘Un-known God’ like what was found in Corinth, is it our cars, our house, our jobs, our prized possessions? It’s not too late for America or Britain or anywhere where Christianity is on the wane.

Statistic says that there are more Christians today, let us Praise our Lord Jesus because of our Love not because of what He provides by His Providence He gives what we need because He loves us, so we must Love Him first and then thank Him for His Providence.

His Faithfulness: Philippians 4:19

And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Matthew 6:33-34

New American Standard Bible (NASB)

33 But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

34 “So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Devotionals for Tuesday March 24, 2015

MORNING:

FOCUS: Wealth cannot buy happiness, good life experiences are better than material goods, spend it wisely helping others. Helping others is a narrow line that fades in the shadows of ‘enabling’.

The old adage of give a man a fish and he is fed for a day, teach a man to fish and he will have food for a lifetime… Jesus came to the boat and said to them, “Children, have you any food?”

They answered Him, “No.”

John 21:6

And He said to them, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.” So they cast, and now they were not able to draw it in because of the multitude of fish. In Context | Full Chapter

Many humanitarian missions to impoverished countries are ‘feeding program’ and are justified as malnourishment must first be cured.  Human exploitation are the main cause of human suffering, the warring factions, the radical ‘Ism’ of religion, ideology, greed and just plain exploitation of others will all end one day.  Because this is ‘predestined’ according to the Scriptures, and the Word of God said so…

We spoke of Solomon and his enormous wealth yet and as we see in Solomon’s writing in the book of Ecclesiastes it did not reflect happiness…     So we look to ‘Rejoicing’ in the Lord, and from rejoicing we obtain ‘Joy’ which is lasting, versus happiness which is temporary.

TEXT: [Loving God Under Trials] Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. James 1:12 NKJV

The promise of the Lord above (the crown of life) this will be great Joy, and God is not enabling us, He is ‘Preserving’ us…  Because the Crown of Life’ will be a more abundant life.

Devotional:

Coming to the Lord just like how Moses came to God, we read the long discourse that Moses had with God, and Moses even reminded God…. ‘Because the Lord was not able to bring this people to the land which He swore to give. Read more below…

His Faithfulness

Moses Intercedes for the People

Numbers 14: 11-24

11 Then the Lord said to Moses: “How long will these people reject Me? And how long will they not believe Me, with all the signs which I have performed among them? 12 I will strike them with the pestilence and disinherit them, and I will make of you a nation greater and mightier than they.”

13 And Moses said to the Lord: “Then the Egyptians will hear it, for by Your might You brought these people up from among them, 14 and they will tell it to the inhabitants of this land. They have heard that You, Lord, are among these people; that You, Lord, are seen face to face and Your cloud stands above them, and You go before them in a pillar of cloud by day and in a pillar of fire by night. 15 Now if You kill these people as one man, then the nations which have heard of Your fame will speak, saying, 16 ‘Because the Lord was not able to bring this people to the land which He swore to give them, therefore He killed them in the wilderness.’ 17 And now, I pray, let the power of my Lord be great, just as You have spoken, saying, 18 ‘The Lord is longsuffering and abundant in mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression; but He by no means clears the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generation.[b] 19 Pardon the iniquity of this people, I pray, according to the greatness of Your mercy, just as You have forgiven this people, from Egypt even until now.”

20 Then the Lord said: “I have pardoned, according to your word; 21 but truly, as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the Lord— 22 because all these men who have seen My glory and the signs which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have put Me to the test now these ten times, and have not heeded My voice, 23 they certainly shall not see the land of which I swore to their fathers, nor shall any of those who rejected Me see it. 24 But My servant Caleb, because he has a different spirit in him and has followed Me fully, I will bring into the land where he went, and his descendants shall inherit it. 25 Now the Amalekites and the Canaanites dwell in the valley; tomorrow turn and move out into the wilderness by the Way of the Red Sea.”

Knowing Him – Above we see Moses’ bold attempt to intercede for his people, and The Lord re-considered as He gave the people the opportunity to see his great powers, and even then they forgot and reverted back to their transgressions against God, we see that many thousands were killed.

So we must remind ourselves that while God is a God of Love and Forgiveness, he is also a God of a Consuming –Fire.

Prayer: Heavenly Gather in Jesus our Lord and Savior we come… Lord Jesus knowing that You are our Mediator and just as Moses interceded for his people, Lord Jesus You are in the Holy Presence of The Father and it is only by Your Mediation that we are able to come in the Holy Presence of The Father.  Lord we than You and we acknowledge that it is only by Grace that we are saved.  Lord Jesus we thank You for our Visitors and we go in Faith knowing that our outreach is not in vain as even one sinner that repents there will be Joy in Heaven.  We pray in Your Holy Name Lord Jesus and to You is the Power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen.

Devotionals for Monday March 23, 2015

MORNING:

FOCUS: Knowledge is power… Stupidity has no limits as stated by Albert Einstein.

God’s Grace is undeserved and it is sufficient.

The topic is about judging others… it is fair to say that Einstein’s statement ‘Stupidity has no limits’ was not intended as judgment on others.

These are the teaching of Jesus… (Using the Amplified Bible) Only The Lord could speak like this because He later said…” Father forgive them for they know not what they do” Luke 23:34 [Full Chapter]

And Jesus prayed, Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do. And they divided His garments and distributed them by casting lots for them.

Matthew 5: 22 But I say to you that everyone who continues to be angry with his brother or harbors malice (enmity of heart) against him shall be liable to and unable to escape the punishment imposed by the court; and whoever speaks contemptuously and insultingly to his brother shall be liable to and unable to escape the punishment imposed by the Sanhedrin, and whoever says, You cursed fool! [You empty-headed idiot!]  Shall be liable to and unable to escape the hell (Gehenna) of fire.

23 So if when you are offering your gift at the altar you there remember that your brother has any [grievance] against you,

24 Leave your gift at the altar and go. First make peace with your brother, and then come back and present your gift.

25 Come to terms quickly with your accuser while you are on the way traveling with him, lest your accuser hand you over to the judge, and the judge to the guard, and you be put in prison.

TEXT:    Matthew 7 [Full Chapter] The Amplified Bible (AMP)

Do not judge and criticize and condemn others, so that you may not be judged and criticized and condemned yourselves. For just as you judge and criticize and condemn others, you will be judged and criticized and condemned, and in accordance with the measure you [use to] deal out to others, it will be dealt out again to you. Why do you stare from without at the very small particle that is in your brother’s eye but do not become aware of and consider the beam of timber that is in your own eye? ...

Luke 6:37 New King James Version (NKJV)

Do Not Judge

37 “Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.

Devotional:

Coming to the Lord

Matthew 6:14New King James Version (NKJV)

14 “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

So today as you are ‘cut-off’ in traffic, losing the parking space to the next person, just ’say may The Lord be with you’.

Remember when you carry the ‘grudge’ it is you that is the one hurting… just let it go and be relieved.  Let nothing be a bother, do as Jesus said… Fear not… for greater is He in You than what you may face.

His Faithfulness

Even as Stephen was being killed by his attackers…

Acts 7:  59 And they stoned Stephen as he was calling on God and saying, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.” 60 Then he knelt down and cried out with a loud voice, “Lord, do not charge them with this sin…

Knowing Him – Fellowship in Oneness:

Let it be His will Lord… Today as we start this new week, let it all be dedicated to the Will of The Lord and know that He is God.  Jesus said… No one comes to the Father except through Him, and He has promised one of two greetings: One is: Welcome home good and faithful servant, the other is: ‘Depart from me I never knew you’.

He knows our thought even before we think it

How can our Lord know this? Because He is Omnipresent, and Omnipotent

The Good News for Today… He came that we may have life and have it more abundantly, and in Christ alone ‘the Best is Yet to Come’

The infinite power of our Lord is something we take for granted.  Remember He ‘Rose-Triumphantly’ so that we may have ‘life and Life-everlasting’, but this is not by ‘default’ you have to come to Him and repent of your sins, ask Him to forgive you and accept Him as Your Lord and Savior.  Jesus said, I no longer call you servants, but Friends.

Prayer: Heavenly Father in Jesus our Lord and Savior we come… Lord we thank You for being our mediator and Lord because of Your Righteousness and by Your Grace we can be presented to the Father. Lord today we bring you our Praises and we acknowledge Your Salvation through Your Redemption. Lord You came and Paid-It-All and we thank You Lord for Your Unconditional love. Lord today we thank you for our Visitors and seek you Divine blessings on each one. Lord we thank You for the privilege of serving You for Your Glory. As we go in in Faith knowing that you will never leave us nor forsake us. Lord we lift you up before all knowing that we will never be ashamed in trusting You as You have provided Your Providence to us all. We pray in Your Holy Name Lord Jesus to You is the Power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen.

Commentary:

Wisdom could be considered more valuable than gold, it is said that the person with the gold makes the ‘golden’ rules. So the rules are from God as all the gold belongs to him, but as we read in Revelation, this precious metal will be used as ‘brick-pavers’ for the street of Heaven.

It is amazing that God trusted us so much that He made us with ‘Free-Will’. God also endowed some of the ‘Poorest’ nation with the most Precious Metal and Gemstones, and the people of these nations continue in poverty because of the exploitation of their resources by fellowmen.   This why we have ‘Blood-Diamond’, ‘Jungle Gold’ and still the greed goes on...

God provided these to be used for Joy and to share among mankind, but as we see Diamonds are used to fuel war and conflicts.

Without God all is lost, the Bible said, when the Gospel is preached in all the land then shall the end comes.

Matthew 24:14

And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.

One of the question that we all have… will those that are dying in the jungle that never heard the gospel be sent to hell?  This is our take on this subject and we invite our readers to submit their comments by email.

We believe of their un-enlightened state never ever hearing about Christ and never rejecting Him, God is merciful and like a new born baby that died, this child will be in God’s Kingdom, why? Not being enlightened. It is when you have heard the Gospel and rejected Christ then there will be eternal damnation.

For as long as you have been around, it is the belief that the text above about when the ‘End’ will come, is subject to every living soul must be reached with the Gospel before The Lord returns… We want to point out that the ‘Gospel’ is the Key Element of this text, and what is the Gospel?  Read on…

The gospel is the good news about what Jesus Christ has done to reconcile sinners to God. Here’s the whole story:

  1. The one and only God, who is holy, made us in his image to know him (Gen. 1:26-28).
  2. But we sinned and cut ourselves off from him (Gen. 3Rom. 3:23).
  3. In his great love, God sent his Son Jesus to come as king and rescue his people from their enemies—most significantly their own sin (Ps. 2Luke 1:67-79).
  4. Jesus established his kingdom by acting as both a mediating priest and a priestly sacrifice—he live a perfect life and died on the cross, thus fulfilling the law himself and taking on himself the punishment for the sins of many (Mark 10:45John 1:14Heb. 7:26Rom. 3:21-265:12-21); then he rose again from the dead, showing that God accepted his sacrifice and that God’s wrath against us had been exhausted (Acts 2:24Rom. 4:25).
  5. He now calls us to repent of our sins and trust in Christ alone for our forgiveness (Acts 17:30John 1:12). If we repent of our sins and trust in Christ, we are born again into a new life, an eternal life with God (John 3:16).

God placed us here to enjoy the worship of him and the intimacy of his love for us. This is the big joy that he gave us so forget the short term pitfall disguised as entertainment 2: God named his creation i.e.

MORNING:

FOCUS: Can you remember the most beautiful place you have ever seen?

Was it a building or a beautiful botanical garden? For many the beauty of a botanical garden would rank the highest.  Recalling the most beautiful place in our lives, that place was probably filled with the beauty of flowers, foliage and the sound of water and birds, it was probably most-beautiful because it was also ‘peaceful’

No landmarks in any major cities including, the Eifel Tower, Big Ben, the latest skyscrapers or even the man-made Palm Island in Dubai can compare to the beauty of the 100 most beautiful places in the world, of which 97 are not made by human hands.

Just imagine the beauty of what Jesus said… I go to prepare a place for you and where I am you shall also be.

TEXT:     John 14 New King James Version (NKJV)

The Way, the Truth, and the Life

14 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.In My Father’s house are many mansions; [a] if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. [b] And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know.”

Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?”

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

The Father Revealed

“If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.”

Devotional:

Coming to the Lord… Lord as we see the wonders of this world that are breathtaking and in awe we see the majesty of the two-thousand year old Giant Redwood, the Balanced Rock and the power of falls like Niagara Falls and others, yet eyes have not seen nor can we image the beauty of Your Kingdom.

From the day of Creation God provided us with the goodness of His creation and gave us dominion over all living things. Just imagine, the creation of Heaven and Earth were made for Mankind… just think that God in His Infinite Wisdom by His Intelligent design did all this for us. Why” because He loves us... Conclusion:

Principle God knows us by a name before the before we were born, but this common name was changed to “Redeemed’ and because of His Redemption by His Blood of Atonement, we are now Joint Heirs to His Kingdom. What a Privilege! As the Scriptures said… He loves us so much that He gave Himself for our sins, and by His Blood of Atonement we are Redeemed.

Romans 8: 1-4 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

Deliverance from Bondage

8 Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, so that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

Prayer:

Devotionals for Friday March 20, 2015

MORNING:

FOCUS:

When Jesus said…”I am not of this world” &”I am returning back to The Father”. Just imagine what He is doing now?

Yesterday we spoke of the world’s population With 7 Billion people on earth of which   33.39% are considered Christians or about 2.34 Billion Christians.  One could imagine our Lord who is on the throne of Righteousness is blessing his gathering and welcoming new members to the Kingdom.

Remember Jesus was there standing at the Right-hand of The Father when Stephen said… “Jesus receive my Spirit”, just as He was there to welcome Jesus home He will be there for each of us as we journey ‘Home’ to Him.    With 2.34 billion Christians reaching out to The Lord it is good that He is God in One of the Father.

Today many of us are doing a few ‘multi-tasking’ like chewing gum and walking… and some are even trying to drive while texting and guess what the outcome of many? We know the outcome of this.  There are videos of people walking and texting and ending up in a pond and some may not even be here to tell us what happened while driving and texting.

So today we want to say our Lord is not too busy to hear our prayers.  Jesus prayed for ‘Hours’ He was ‘immersed’ in His Prayers, even to the extent that the sweat from His brow was like blood…

The most persistent sales pitch is probably from a car salesman or a tele-marketer.  Selling is an art, and when you are able to resist the pitches of a persistent sales professional, they will deploy a ‘negative’ tactic to challenge you… like saying you may like the policy that I have laid out for your family’s security, and this insurance policy is the best plan you could purchase, but maybe you can’t qualify to be a policy-holder.   At this point you may fall for that line and then sign up to ‘prove’ a point.

Today we have no sales tactic, only plain facts, such as…

We are all destined to die, which is a hard cold-fact as no one can escape death.

In life many choices are non-elective (such as death) and many are elective such as choosing what to do and what not to do.

While we know that the ‘sure-things’ in life cannot be avoided yet by instinct we choose to try and strive to maintain a good-quality of life. Some may choose to be on the best diet, staying away from unhealthy foods, and do what we thing will result in longevity.  All this is good but some of the most disciplined individuals that eat right, exercise and do what they are told to have a healthy lifestyle still suffer the ills that shortened their lives.

Many may say that Belief in God is an ‘Elective-option’ and yes it is; as our Lord do not want you to come as a ‘slave’ and He is not a Dictator, but He is the Divine Sovereign Eternal God.

So knowing that ‘Belief’ in God is an elective option and accepting Jesus as our Redeemer is also an option, but knowing the unavoidable fact that… If we will be around for the judgment, then what is said, "It is appointed unto man to die once, and after that there is the judgment" then this statement is saying our death is really not final and we will be around for the Judgment...

TEXT:      Hebrews 9:27 [Full Chapter]

And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment,

Reading the preceding verses to the text above is necessary to fully grasp the message…

Hebrews 9: 11- 28

The Heavenly Sanctuary

11 But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, [a] with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation. 12 Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.13 For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies for the purifying of the flesh, 14 how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? 15 And for this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.

The Mediator’s Death Necessary

16 For where there is a testament, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. 17 For a testament is in force after men are dead, since it has no power at all while the testator lives. 18 Therefore not even the first covenant was dedicated without blood. 19 For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and goats, with water, scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people, 20 saying, “This is the blood of the covenant which God has commanded you.”[b] 21 Then likewise he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle and all the vessels of the ministry. 22 And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission.

Greatness of Christ’s Sacrifice

23 Therefore it was necessary that the copies of the things in the heavens should be purified with these, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. 24 For Christ has not entered the holy places made with hands, which are copies of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us; 25 not that He should offer Himself often, as the high priest enters the Most Holy Place every year with blood of another—26 He then would have had to suffer often since the foundation of the world; but now, once at the end of the ages, He has appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself. 27 And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment, 28 so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.

His Faithfulness

So we be best prepared for this, and Jesus made a way for us... Romans 8: 1 said that in Christ there is no Condemnation.  So come to Him and be among His chosen.

EVENING:

Knowing Him – Fellowship in Oneness:

So we say there’s no sales pitch here… and as commonly said; ‘the ball is in your court’ you can choose not to be a part of the great gathering that will be an eternal life of splendor or you can choose to live in a place separated from God, and without God-Jesus there is no light. (A place in total darkness)

Key factor:  If we were able to keep all of the Commandments, we would still need Christ, because all of my righteousness are like a filthy rag, and if we could save ourselves, then Christ would have died in Vain.

Prayer:  Father in Heaven in Jesus we come…Lord Jesus today as we come to You let us be in Oneness in You as only in You we have Life and You have said that all who come You will in no way turn-away.  Lord we thank You for Your Unconditional love and Your Redemption of what You have done for our Salvation. Lord we thank You and Praise You and make You first in all that we do for Your Glory Lord. Lord be with our Visitors as we thank You for the privilege of bringing Your message of Grace to  many Visitors in all three languages. We seek Your Divine Blessing on all who come seeking to know You and to spread Your Good News. Lord be with us all and let Your favors be granted to us all. We thank You Lord and we pray this in Your Holy Name Lord Jesus and to you is the Power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen.

Think on this today:

Because Jesus said, He came that we may have an abundant life and have it 'more' abundantly... why did Jesus said 'more' in describing 'Abundant'? Because He has prepared a way for each of us to have a 'Double-Portion' and His double-portion is an eternal life with Him.

Devotionals for Thursday March 19, 2015

MORNING:

FOCUS: There is only ‘One-Mediator’ between man and God… and He is Christ Jesus

How many times are you interrupted each day?

Text:  Whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved… Romans 10: 13 NKJV

Commentary:  Consider the message … Pray without ceasing. How would you like to have someone burst into your office and start telling you his troubles, and then at lunch he does the same, and when you are home sitting at dinner this person re-appears and start the same thing all over again? . Jesus said… “Come unto to me all who are heavily burdened and I will give you rest”

TEXT:  Matthew 11: 28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest

With 7 Billion people on earth of which   33.39% are considered Christians or about 2.34 Billion Christians

So when you pray to our Lord tonight remember He is: Omniscient, Omnipotent and Omnipresence. .

Conclusion:

Occasionally we find that our cell phone will drop the call, this occurs when the cell tower ran out of capacity to accommodate the calls. But with our Lord Jesus He is always there.  Because Jesus loves us He is there for us every moment of the day.  His Omnipresence is by His Supremacy, and His capacity is beyond comprehension. Because He is God, therefore come to Jesus boldly as he is ready to receive each of us all at once.

Come to Jesus this morning and remember… You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world… 1 John 4: 4 NKJV

Our Scripture Guide for today is from Matthew 6: 33 ‘Seek Him First and His Righteousness….’

EVENING:

Principle: Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ… Philippians 1: 6 NKJV

His Promise / His Faithfulness:

For where two or three are gathered together in Mt name, I am there in the midst of them (The Word of Jesus Christ) Matthew 18: 20 NKJV

As we end the day, let us bring our Praises to our Lord and thank Him for His Grace and receive His rest for a peaceful tomorrow by His guidance to still waters and green pastures.

Prayer: Heavenly Father in Jesus we come, Lord Jesus as we end the day and place it all in Your Holy Hands, Lord be with us all as we Praise You and look to You for a new day full of Love and blessed with Your Divine Grace as we recognize You as our Sovereign Eternal God in One of Your Holy Trinity. MORNING:

FOCUS: A Nano-second is all that you will have on that day… A nanosecond (ns) is an SI unit of time equal to one billionth of a second (10−9 or1/1,000,000,000 s

Jesus our All-Powerful Infinite God in One of The Father was ‘carried-up’ into heaven.  The theory of Teleportation is something physicists are saying that moving from point ‘A’ to point “B” in an instantaneous moment may be a possibility.  So our infinite mind is intrigued by this theory.  Somewhat like the men that stated to build the ‘Tower of Babel’ to reach heaven.  Somehow we are still in the ‘Quantum-Mystery’ Mode, as we are still talking of taking the theory to the Thesis.

Looking back at the Tower of Babel… primitive man thinking they could use Bricks with Tar as the mortar to build a stairway to heaven, today man in our modern day are thinking of how we may be ‘Teleported’ to another time zone?

Jesus said... “I am not of this world” and He was ‘Teleported’ back to the Father in Heaven.  Is the Bible giving us the clues to the future?

What do we want to conquer?  Jesus already made us Conquerors, and we are already ‘chosen’ and are Heirs to a Kingdom that cannot be shaken, not made by human hands. Being Heirs with our Lord Jesus who is God Incarnated (Remember no one has ever seen God) will we possess the ability to understand the rules that govern the atoms? And Quantum Mechanics? We may never understand it, but He will allow us to one day be ‘Teleported’ to Him. He already used it, He created the Universe from nothing.

Many of the Physicists that are developing Quantum Mechanics say that it is still a theory to teleport the ‘Particles’ and it could misfire… Our God has already made and operates a Teleport, this is described when the Bible said…”To be absent from the Body but be with the Lord”

Scientists says that there is still a gaping hole in Quantum Physics, (The word ‘Mystery’ is routinely used by many researchers) The top Physicists can all agree that there is a missing link that is still a mystery.  Let’s tell them that the Missing-Link is God!

Man’s quest to achieve Quantum-Physic and taking the theory of Faster than light to achieve a new dimension is not a theory, as the Good News is; God already provided this to each and every one of us.

The Best is yet to come…When Jesus said… “I am not of this world” did you ever wonder what kind of world He is from?  Revelation described the Kingdom of God glistening like Glass, made of pure gold.  Have we ever wondered how did Jesus ascended from earth?  Does the statement of Paul … ‘being absent from the body but present with the Lord’ ever puzzled you?

There are so many things that we do not have definitive answers to, so how do we address them. We must base our answers on Facts: Fact No: 1 Jesus came, Fact No. 2: Jesus died for our sins, Fact No: 3 Jesus rose from the dead, Fact No: 4 Jesus ascended into the heavens.  These facts are real, and His Words are real, and His Covenants are real. Jesus’ promise of returning is real.

The period when the Old Testament ended till the birth of Jesus was 400 years, (The Silent Years) the chronological period of the Old Testament covered a period of 1,446 BC which is 3,459 years of history to this date October 2013.  But we must add the prior years when God created the Earth before Moses wrote the book of Genesis, this could be several thousand years or more?

The oldest Cities in the world are: (provided to track the ages of civilization)

  1. Gaziantep, Turkey dating as far back as 3650 B.C
  2. Jerusalem, Israel. Have been populated since at least 3000 B.C.,
  3. Kirkuk, Iraq  it’s been continually inhabited since around 3000 B.C.,
  4. Zurich, Switzerland, has been inhabited since around 3000 B.C.
  5. Konya, Turkey has been mentioned in the ancient texts of the Greco-Roman world.
  6. Giza Egypt dating back to well before 2568 B.C.,
  7. The city of Xi’an, China is believed to have been around since 2205 B.C.,
  8. Asyut, Egypt,  records date back to around 2160 B.C
  9. Luxor, Egypt, was founded, but it was sometime before 2160 B.C.
  10. Lisbon, Portugal, founded 2,000 B.C.,

The oldest city of record above is Gaziantep, Turkey 3,650 BC.  What is important is our Calendar year 2,014 since Jesus came.  Comparing the oldest known city to be 3,650 years and Christ’s birth 2,103 years ago, in the span of time 2,014 years in the eyes of our Lord may not be a lot of time.

The use of ‘Wheels’ as a mode of transportation was in the year 3,650 credited to the Hittites in Gaziantep, Turkey. Wheels are still the most widely used mode of transportation to this date.

The Day of the Lord… It will be a day of Joy for believers, and a day of terror for unbelievers.  2 Peter 3:10

[The Day of the Lord] But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.

Keep looking up… 1 Thessalonians 4:17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 (in Context) 1 Thessalonians 4 (Whole Chapter)

1 Chronicles 4:10 And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, “Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” So God granted him what he requested. 1 Chronicles 4:9-11 (in Context) 1 Chronicles 4 (Whole Chapter)

Prayer: Father in Heaven in Jesus we come.  Lord today as we reflect on Your humble servant Jabez, that sought Your blessings and enlargement of his territory with Your hands upon him, we do the same Lord and ask that we also be kept from evil and that what we do shall be for Your Glory Lord Jesus. Lord we seek to be equipped and that You will open the flood-gates that Your Word will flow as a deluge to wash away the sins of those coming to our sites bearing Your Good News. Lord we thank You for our Visitors and we ask Your blessing to each one. Lord we pray that our nation and the world will humble ourselves and seek You Lord, and turn from our wicked ways, Lord You said You will hear us and by Your faithfulness You will forgive us and heal our land. We pray this in Your Holy Name our Messiah Jesus; be with us as we give You first place in all things, to You Lord Jesus be the Power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen.

MORNING:

FOCUS: It’s all going to be made without human’s hands.  Read more…

The perfect Kingdom of God will not be man-made… this is why the description in Revelation 21

Commentary: Man can reproduce precious stones, but it is not the real thing, and one thing we cannot replicate is ‘Gold’ so to prove that the streets of heaven will not be made with man-made material, it will be paved with ‘Pure’ Gold like transparent glass. No there will be no Horse-drawn buggies, so there will be no maintenance, and because we know so little, we can only imagine that our mode of transportation will all be by a Mag-Lev principle.  Yes we do have Mag-Lev trains and this is just an example of Magnetic-Levitation in an early model, as we wrote about Nano-Seconds yesterday. Jesus demonstrated His Power of Quantum Mechanics when he suddenly appeared across the lake astonishing the disciples.

 John 6:25

TEXT: Hebrews 9: 11- 28    The Heavenly Sanctuary

11 But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come,[a] with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation.12 Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. 13 For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies for the purifying of the flesh, 14 how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? 15 And for this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.

The Mediator’s Death Necessary

16 For where there is a testament, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. 17 For a testament is in force after men are dead, since it has no power at all while the testator lives. 18 Therefore not even the first covenant was dedicated without blood. 19 For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and goats, with water, scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people,20 saying, “This is the blood of the covenant which God has commanded you.”[b] 21 Then likewise he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle and all the vessels of the ministry. 22 And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission.

THE GOOD NEWS:

Greatness of Christ’s Sacrifice

23 Therefore it was necessary that the copies of the things in the heavens should be purified with these, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. 24 For Christ has not entered the holy places made with hands, which are copies of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us; 25 not that He should offer Himself often, as the high priest enters the Most Holy Place every year with blood of another— 26 He then would have had to suffer often since the foundation of the world; but now, once at the end of the ages, He has appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself. 27 And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment, 28 so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.

EVENING:

Devotional:

Coming to the Lord and thank Him for His Faithfulness

Lord Jesus we thank You for making the ultimate Sacrifice for us… because You Jesus Christ has not entered the holy places made with hands, which are copies of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us.  Lord Jesus we thank You.

Prayer: Heavenly Father in Jesus our Sovereign Eternal God in One of Your Holy Trinity we come.

MORNING:

FOCUS: Without Christ in the equation the answer will be incorrect. With Jesus He makes all things good for those who seeks Him

The slogan… there’s no atheist in the fox-hole, and so were the sailors on the boat carrying Jonah.

You can leave God out of the equation and fail or include Him and be sure of a good ending.

God is Merciful and through His Son Jesus who is God Incarnate will save you when you come to Him, just as how He saved Jonah, but Jonah was running from the assignment that The Lord gave him which he abandoned, but The Lord’s will must be carried out so Jonah was found, re-directed and he fulfilled the mission of The Lord.

TEXT:  Jonah 1:4-17 But the Lord sent out a great wind on the sea, and there was a mighty tempest on the sea, so that the ship was about to be broken up. Then the mariners were afraid; and every man cried out to his god, and threw the cargo that was in the ship into the sea, to lighten the load. But Jonah had gone down into the lowest parts of the ship, had lain down, and was fast asleep.

So the captain came to him, and said to him, “What do you mean, sleeper? Arise, call on your God; perhaps your God will consider us, so that we may not perish.” And they said to one another, “Come, let us cast lots, that we may know for whose cause this trouble has come upon us.” So they cast lots, and the lot fell on Jonah. Then they said to him, “Please tell us! For whose cause is this trouble upon us? What is your occupation? And where do you come from? What is your country? And of what people are you?” So he said to them, “I am a Hebrew; and I fear the Lord, the God of heaven, who made the sea and the dry land.” Then the men were exceedingly afraid, and said to him, “Why have you done this?” For the men knew that he fled from the presence of the Lord, because he had told them. Then they said to him, “What shall we do to you that the sea may be calm for us?”—for the sea was growing more tempestuous. And he said to them, “Pick me up and throw me into the sea; then the sea will become calm for you. For I know that this great tempest is because of me.” Nevertheless the men rowed hard to return to land, but they could not, for the sea continued to grow more tempestuous against them. Therefore they cried out to the Lord and said, “We pray, O Lord, please do not let us perish for this man’s life, and do not charge us with innocent blood; for You, O Lord, have done as it pleased You.” So they picked up Jonah and threw him into the sea, and the sea ceased from its raging. Then the men feared the Lord exceedingly, and offered a sacrifice to the Lord and took vows.

Now the Lord had prepared a great fish to swallow Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.

Let us analyze why Jonah disobeyed God… For one; Jonah was a Hebrew and he was quite comfortable around his peers, so being directed to a foreign land Jonah first instinct was to hide. Secondly; God was sending him to a nation that was non-Jewish, and thirdly Nineveh had a reputation of ungodliness.

God never fails, He chose Jonah, and Jonah made an attempt to disappoint the Lord, but God never gives up. So when we are faced with adversities, remember it is the will of God to give us an abundant life.  So when we have adversities are we acting like Jonah, running from God?  You can run but you can’t hide.  God is Omniscient, Omnipresent, and Omnipotent.

Coming to the Lord… Matthew 6:33-34 New King James Version (NKJV)

33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

His Faithfulness

An example of what is meant when we read… John 3:16-17 New King James Version (NKJV)

16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

A Footnote to Nineveh in Jonah’s time and the recent destruction of the Temple in Nineveh… We see that God went to great length to save Nineveh by the event of Jonah… so when the Text said ‘For God so loved the ‘World’, the World is like Nineveh in our present time where the land is overrun by radicals and Historical relics are being destroyed.

The Fact is God so loved US (Not the World, or the land of Nineveh) Because Jesus came to save sinners, not the physical world, and we must remember that Jesus said…”I am not of this world”, and we know that on the ‘Day of The Lord’ all in Christ will be taken away and earth will be left bare.

2 Peter 3:10

[The Day of the Lord] But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.

Let it be Your will Lord… 2 Corinthians 6:2

Prayer:  Heavenly Father in Jesus we come and we thank You Father in Jesus Name knowing that Your Word will never pass away and that by the new Covenant in Jesus we have Salvation through You Lord Jesus. Lord we thank You for Your Divine Redemption that we shall see You on that day… Lord Jesus let us all today stand and know that You have said now is the  accepted time and You will hear us, Lord let us spread Your Good News that today is the accepted time and the day of Salvation, we thank You Lord Jesus.  Lord hear our Visitors and gather each one that we shall all gather on that day when Your Kingdom will be revealed.  We thank You Lord Jesus and we go in Peace knowing that You said You will never leave us nor forsake us… Thank You Lord and to You Lord Jesus is the Power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen.

FOCUS: Great beginnings are good, but ending well is better…

Great Beginnings are good, so let’s take a look at the irony of a true inventor that never took his ground-breaking invention of digital photography to market in a timely manner.  This is was KODAK® an American Icon that went bankrupt and emerged as a small service company while they held the patent to the Digital Camera; they failed to exploit it as they continued to make Films using Chemical.   The list goes on of giants of industries that lacked the vision or the focus that went on to be on the list of forgotten ‘icons’

Text:       Jude 1

New International Version (NIV)

Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ and a brother of James,

To those who have been called, who are loved in God the Father and kept for Jesus Christ:

Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance.

The Sin and Doom of Ungodly People

Dear friends, although I was very eager to write to you about the salvation we share, I felt compelled to write and urge you to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to God’s holy people. For certain individuals whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord.

Though you already know all this, I want to remind you that the Lord at one time delivered his people out of Egypt, but later destroyed those who did not believe. And the angels who did not keep their positions of authority but abandoned their proper dwelling—these he has kept in darkness, bound with everlasting chains for judgment on the great Day. In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire.

His Faithfulness

TEXT: Genesis 1:7

Thus God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament; and it was so. Genesis 1:6-8 (in Context) Genesis 1 (Whole Chapter)

Commentary: Some inventors of things that changed the way we do things are long forgotten, but the list of men mentioned here are widely recognized as standard bearers of the cross…

John Newton:      This slave-trader-turned-pastor significantly impacted the eighteenth century British campaign to abolish the African slave trade.

John Bunyan:       (28 November 1628 – 31 August 1688) was an English Christian writer and preacher, who is well known for his book The Pilgrim's Progress.

Saul of Tarsus:    Paul of Tarsus was a Jew who had Roman citizenship and tried to stamp out Christianity until he had a vision on the Road to Damascus.

C.S. Lewis:           A former Atheist who came to Christ, even today he is the most quoted person in Twitter® While C.S. Lewis is an acclaimed believer many of those that claimed fame some by false pretense and some that actually ‘discovered’ something useful such as the Internet. The Inventor of the Internet® No, it is not Al Gore (the former Vice President of the USA) that once said “I took the initiative in creating the Internet”; (this implied that he invented the Internet)… the actual person behind the Internet was; Tim Berners-Lee.

While many of us do not call ourselves an Atheist, but we go around like one, we hold ourselves to be ‘self-righteous’ and never give an ounce of credit to our Creator.  I was talking to someone that was telling me how he placed his life on hold to take care of his aging dad, and his dad died a year ago and now his mom is possibly spending her last summer here weighing just about 75 Lbs. I said you need to spend more time with her telling her about the ‘Precious Gift’ of our Lord, and that the Good News is that we really never die… He went on to tell me how he treats everyone fairly, try to live a decent and honest life and that he does a lot of good things, etc., I had to tell him that all of our self-righteousness and no matter how good a life we live, our life is like a filthy rag, as we were born with an inherent defect, this is called sin as we are all offspring’s of Adam. And this is the reason why God sent His Son Jesus (HE is God incarnate) to redeem us, but like every Gift unless it is accepted and opened, it is never found. Therefore to ‘know of’ Jesus is like us knowing of a great Physician that can heal us of a sickness but we really don’t know him personally, and never met him, so we can never get the treatment.

While many are not atheist, we will be treated as such by our Lord, as He said in the Bible… Matthew 25:41
“Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.
Matthew 25:40-42 (in Context) Matthew 25 (Whole Chapter)

History mentioned a few Atheists that eventually found the Lord, but the millions of atheists that never did; are not known they are in their ‘eternity’ that is utter darkness. Those that found Christ were listed among the ‘Living’ and continue to be mentioned in many writing.

EVENING:

Knowing Him – Fellowship in Oneness:

Our Lord Jesus who said ‘Before Abraham was… I Am” The Bible in multiple passages revealed that Jesus is the Creator of all things, and without Him there was nothing made, and He Jesus holds it altogether.  What do we mean that He holds it together?  The Universe and the elements are so precisely designed that the Magnetic field and the precise location of the planet, the moon and earth must be in sync.  The ‘Milky-Way’ and the billions of galaxies are all known to our Lord by name. Our Lord Jesus holds these all together, but on the Day of the Lord, all will break loose.

C.S. Lewis said... “I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen: not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else.”  One could guess the statement of seeing the ‘Sun’ he actually meant the “Son”, he also said…

“To be a Christian means to forgive the inexcusable because God has forgiven the inexcusable in you.”

Prayer: Heavenly Father in Jesus our Redeemer we come knowing that You are on the Throne of Righteousness and through You Lord Jesus we can be Redeemed as we come with a contrite heart seeking Your Forgiveness, Lord we thank you for our Visitors and we seek Your blessings on us all. Lord we thank You for Your Saving Grace and we give You our Praises and to You Lord Jesus is the Power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen.

FOCUS:       Is
winning everything? … Discipline and love of the Almighty will preserve you… (Where are they now?)

Professional Sports is a life of fame and fortune… is this a true statement? Winning the Lotto is another experience of gaining a fortune and losing it all...

According to a 2009 Sports Illustrated article, 60 percent of former NBA players are broke within five years of retirement. By the time they have been retired for two years, 78% of former NFL players have gone bankrupt or are under financial stress.

The lottery winners are not much different

The authors divided past lottery winners into two separate groups: Those who had won cash prizes between $50,000 and $150,000, and those who had won $10,000 or less. What they found is that those who had won the more sizable sums were more likely to have filed for bankruptcy five years later. Similar research from the National Endowment for Financial Education estimates that 70 percent of people who had unexpectedly come into large sums of money ended up broke within seven years.

According to a 2010 study by researchers at Vanderbilt University, the University of Kentucky and the University of Pittsburgh, the more money you win in the lottery, the more likely you are to end upbankrupt.

So what is sustainable?  The ‘Joy’ of having the Divine providence of our Lord… An example of an achiever who placed it all in the hands of the Lord…Dwight L. Moody an Evangelist that started as a Shoe-salesman, who had one single focus to bring the Message of Christ to the world founded Moody Bible Institute in 1886 and Moody Radio is one of the largest Christian radio networks in the United States.

TEXT:  Proverbs 3 New King James Version (NKJV)

Guidance for the Young

My son, do not forget my law, But let your heart keep my commands;
For length of days and long life. And peace they will add to you.

Let not mercy and truth forsake you; Bind them around your neck,
Write them on the tablet of your heart, 4 And so find favor and high esteem
In the sight of God and man.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct[a] your paths.

Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and depart from evil.
It will be health to your flesh, [bAnd strength[c] to your bones.

Honor the Lord with your possessions, And with the first fruits of all your increase;
10 So your barns will be filled with plenty, And your vats will overflow with new wine.

11 My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, Nor detest His correction;
12 For whom the Lord loves He corrects, Just as a father the son in whom he delights.

13 Happy is the man who finds wisdom, And the man who gains understanding;
14 For her proceeds are better than the profits of silver, And her gain than fine gold.
15 She is more precious than rubies, And all the things you may desire cannot compare with her.
16 Length of days is in her right hand, in her left hand riches and honor.
17 Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.
18 She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her, and happy are all who retain her.

19 The Lord by wisdom founded the earth; By understanding He established the heavens;
20 By His knowledge the depths were broken up, and clouds drop down the dew.

21 My son, let them not depart from your eyes—Keep sound wisdom and discretion;
22 So they will be life to your soul. And grace to your neck.
23 Then you will walk safely in your way, and your foot will not stumble.
24 When you lie down, you will not be afraid; Yes, you will lie down and your sleep will be sweet.
25 Do not be afraid of sudden terror, nor of trouble from the wicked when it comes;
26 For the Lord will be your confidence, and will keep your foot from being caught.
27 Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in the power of your hand to do so.
28 Do not say to your neighbor, “Go, and come back,
and tomorrow I will give it,” When you have it with you.
29 Do not devise evil against your neighbor, for he dwells by you for safety’s sake.
30 Do not strive with a man without cause, if he has done you no harm.

31 Do not envy the oppressor, and choose none of his ways;
32 For the perverse person is an abomination to the Lord, But His secret counsel is with the upright.
33 The curse of the Lord is on the house of the wicked, But He blesses the home of the just.
34 Surely He scorns the scornful, but gives grace to the humble.
35 The wise shall inherit glory, but shame shall be the legacy of fools.

Think on this today:

If we will be around for the judgment, then what is said, "It is appointed unto man to die once, and after that there is the judgment" then this statement is saying our death is really not final and we will be around for the Judgment... So we be best prepared for this, and Jesus made a way for us... Romans 8: 1 said that in Christ there is no Condemnation.  So come to Him and be among His chosen.

MORNING:

FOCUS: It takes twelve tries or more to succeed…

We must not give in to failures or to put it less drastic, an un-successful ending of a project or financial loss in a venture that did not make it for some reason.  Some of the Icons of today did not make it until they failed an average of 12 plus tries.  It is said that the average entrepreneur did not achieve success until his 11th tries.

The Armor of God

Ephesians 6:10-17 10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

So we see what Wall Street refers to as ‘Self-Made’ Billionaires…  No one is considered self-made.

Henry Ford said… "Nothing can be made except by makers, nothing can be managed except by managers. Money cannot make anything and money cannot manage anything.” he also said… "The gifted man bears his gifts into the world, not for his own benefit, but for the people among whom he is placed; for the gifts are not his, he himself is a gift to the community."

Henry Ford’s definition of "Christmas stands for the human factor which makes life tolerable midst the hurry of commerce and production.  All of us need the annealing effect of Christ's example to relieve the hardening we get in the daily struggle for material success."    Ford also said… "The Bible does not need advertising by me, but I wish more people could be persuaded to read it. Perhaps if they had been, we should not have this war on our hands. For greed and idleness brought it on."

"Faith is one of the most effective tools in the human equipment. I believe that faith works." … BY Henry Ford

Wealth, like happiness, is never attained when sought after directly. It comes as a by-product of providing a useful service. By Henry Ford

TEXT: Colossians 1:25New King James Version (NKJV)

25 of which I became a minister according to the stewardship from God which was given to me for you, to fulfill the word of God,

Devotional:

Coming to the Lord:

The greatest stewardship is endowed to all, the rich, the poor, the young and the old. So that as we read about the second greatest command…

March 12: 30 And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’[e] This is the first commandment. [f] 31 And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’[g] There is no other commandment greater than these.”

His Faithfulness:

Galatians 2:16-21 New International Version (NIV)

16 know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified.

17 “But if, in seeking to be justified in Christ, we Jews find ourselves also among the sinners, doesn’t that mean that Christ promotes sin? Absolutely not! 18 If I rebuild what I destroyed, then I really would be a lawbreaker.

19.  “For through the law I died to the law so that I might live for God. 20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. 21 I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!”

Prayer: Lord Jesus Christ, I accept in faith that You came and died for my sins and by Your Blood of Atonement offered for me, my Lord I accept You and by Your Grace I am saved knowing that it is only by Your Blood that my sins are washed away, and by Your Grace extended to me that I can look to You my Savior knowing that one day I shall see You and be brought into Your Kingdom where there shall be no more sin no more pain and be filled with the Joy of Your Holy presence my Lord and Savior.  I commit my life and my soul to You my Lord Jesus and expect to spend eternity with You my Lord, I accept Your divine saving Grace now and pray this in Your Holy name Lord Jesus, Amen.

Father in Heaven we thank You in Jesus our Lord and Savior for our Visitors and Lord grant Your Blessings on us all, In Your Holy Name Lord Jesus to You is the Power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen.

Think on this:        "If at first you don't succeed... So much for skydiving." (Henry Youngman)

TEXT:  Hebrews 2:6 But there is a place where someone has testified: “What is mankind that you are mindful of them, a son of man that you care for him? Hebrews 2:5-7 (in Context) Hebrews 2 (Whole Chapter)

Commentary:  There’s no second-chance or a ‘Do-over’ if you failed in your skydiving attempt, and it is not an ‘oops’, better luck next time. There’s no room for error.  As we journey through this life, with a life-span of 70-80-90 or even a hundred years old…we needs to stop and Know that He is God; as the bible said; what is Man? That you are mindful of him?

Alexander the Great (356-323 BC) who conquered the Persian Empire, into Egypt and India, died at age 33, at his death he requested that his hands were not to be wrapped and they were to be visible showing that his hands were “Empty” a bold statement while he gained much in life, but in death he could not take anything with him. Let us be mindful of this…

Why did He come to Redeem us?

By one man Sin entered the world, our Creator was not surprised by Adam & Eve of their falling for the serpent’s temptation.

Genesis 2: 15 The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. 16 And the Lord God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; 17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.”

This is the reason why He came to Redeem us… Because He said “you will certainly die”, He decreed this…  All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ, and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation." - II Corinthians 5:18-19

Romans 5:12 [ Death Through Adam, Life Through Christ ] Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned— Romans 5 (Whole Chapter)

We who are believers need to do our part as the commission of our Lord was to proclaim His message of; Good News that He Rose Triumphantly and HE is alive on the Throne of Righteousness and He is waiting to receive those that come to Him for His Redemption. There’s so much to tell, as we recite the key things we all need to know:

1.             God Created the Heaven and the Earth

2.            God Created us in His Likeness

3.             Because we are Created in the Likeness of God, we too shall live forever.

4.            Jesus is the Son of God and He is Supreme and was there from the beginning of it all

5.             Because we are descendants of Adam, we are all born into Sin.

6.            The Good News is: God Sent His Son Jesus to Redeem us

7.             Jesus Paid It All by His Blood of Atonement.

8.            The Grace of our Lord is extended to us all, and right now is the time of Acceptance

9.            If we Accept our Lord Jesus and repent of our Sin, He will Redeem us by His Blood as a Seal and as a Down/Payment for our Redemption that we will be with our Lord in a Place of Splendor forever.

10.          We also need to let it be known; that while our Lord is a Lord of Love, A Gracious Redeemer and a Patient God, He is also a God of Consuming Fire…

11.           Our Lord said that when we are saved by His Grace we will never be lost, but we must know Him and have a close walk with our Lord; as He will meet all our needs and He will never leave us nor forsake us.

When God spoke of ‘Death’ He did not mean the ‘physical death’ of our bodies, God was speaking about the Spiritual death of our souls. We need to realize that humans are a ‘serious’ creation, made in the likeness of God.  He trusted us so much that He gave us the ability to have ‘Free-Will’. But we chose the things of this world over what He said.  What did God say? Because no one has ever seen God, so He sent Jesus born of a Virgin to be a man. Jesus came so that we humans could know Him and learn of His Divine Salvation that He would die and three days later rise from death, but yet as ‘God among us’.

We too shall rise though Jesus who redeemed us by His Blood, rising to a place of splendor and by His redemption we shall be spared the death that God spoke about…when He said “you shall surely die” So the saying… Being Born-Again, Saved, Redeemed are all relevant and is a Gift that God gave us through Jesus Christ who paid it all.  There are also the stages of Transformation and Sanctification that are not ‘earned’ but are made possible only through our Faith and having a relationship with Christ.

He made in His image so that you could worship, honor, relate to, and delight in Him.  God has authority over your life, and you are responsible to reflect God.

Psalm 100:3 New King James Version (NKJV)

3 Know that the Lord, He is God;

It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; [a]

We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.

Acts 17:24-31 New King James Version (NKJV)

24 “God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands. 25 Nor is He worshiped with men’s hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things. 26 And He has made from one blood[a] every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, 27 so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; 28 for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’29 Therefore, since we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, something shaped by art and man’s devising. 30 Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, 31 because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead.”

Conclusion: Jesus Made Fully Human

Hebrews 2: 5-12 NIV

5 It is not to angels that he has subjected the world to come, about which we are speaking. 6 But there is a place where someone has testified:

“What is mankind that you are mindful of them,   a son of man that you care for him?

7 You made them a little lower than the angels;     you crowned them with glory and honor

8     and put everything under their feet.” In putting everything under them, God left nothing that is not subject to them. Yet at present we do not see everything subject to them. 9 But we do see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone. 10 In bringing many sons and daughters to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through what he suffered. 11 Both the one who makes people holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters. 12 He says, “I will declare your name to my brothers and sisters; in the assembly I will sing your praises.”

EVENING: Invitation: You can come to our Lord Jesus right where you are and he will receive you, and you can have His assurance that you will be saved by His Blood

Romans 8:11 New International Version (NIV)

11 And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.

Father in Heaven, in Jesus we come… Lord Jesus we come to You knowing that You are on the Throne of Righteousness and You intercedes for us, Lord, fill us with Your Holy Spirit and direct our pathways as we seek to be led by Your divine guidance as the Author and Finisher of our Faith.  And by Faith we come and accept You Lord knowi9ng that all things work for good to those that loves You, and in acknowledgement of Your Word, that You will never leave us nor forsake us. Lord bless our visitors and let Your Peace be bestowed on us all.  Lord we give You the Praise and to you Lord Jesus is the Power and the Glory, now and forevermore… Amen.

MORNING:

FOCUS: Life’s journey to victory through the school of hard-knocks, yet the Lord’s providence prevails… (Moody and others)

Hey Dude… you will be toast if you don’t know HIM! This is how we would address the audience of South Beach…

What are we saying?  No offense, just plain talk.

Where are you headed?  Is life a dead end?  Who is telling the truth?  How much more of this can we take?

What is life all about?  We spend a third of our life sleeping, and the rest learning, working, and in the latter part trying to achieve longevity. So what is the mission in our life? Get a diploma, a job? Create a new idea and be a billionaire? Or graduate college and be a professional in? Medicine, Banking, or be an Astronaut and explore space?  One thing for sure NOTHING is sure… The only sure thing commonly known in our society is death and taxes… this is NOT entirely True.

Guess what?  We have a choice, a choice than can make our lives a life of Joy and be a real asset to our fellow mankind.   One thing for sure that silver-bullet will not fall from the sky into your lap.  If this was so, the homeless guy at the corner would have already found it as he is sitting there in the open, he would see it falling before anyone else.  So let us find the answers to all these ridiculous questions…

There are certain rules or what we call parameters to life, and most of these are un-written.  These rules are ‘Hidden Gems” that will build a lifetime of good character.  First we must know some basic facts such as:

No one owes us a living

You are the product of either loving parents or just happened be born to a broken home.  Do not take it too hard if the latter is your standing.  The School of Hard Knocks’ is not exclusive to the one from nobility or the less fortunate… So when we meet someone that are more fortunate how should we treat them?  Don’t get crazy because your roommate in college has a Porsche for his drive about car while you have a Fiesta, because you may be the one that will help this rich dude.  God is no respecter of any individual.

Our opening remarks of being Toast if?  May be offensive to many, but it applies to all…We wrote this piece to be an open statement to all that are facing the challenges of this world.

The fact that our Lord loves us and want to complete His good work in us as He is the Author and Finisher of our Faith, and we must let Him do this by in Faith trusting that He has good things in store for us. So come to Jesus and thank Him for His Graciousness, and acknowledge that He came to save sinners like us.

No one is sinless and only by His Grace we can be Saved. When we come and repent and accept Jesus as our Redeemer and let Him be Lord of our live, we are now privileged to be called children of God.

TEXT:    Romans 3:22-24New King James Version (NKJV)

22 even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all[a] who believe. For there is no difference; 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,24 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,

1 John 1:9-10New King James Version (NKJV)

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

Devotional:

Coming to the Lord

Acts 2:20-22 New King James Version (NKJV)

20 The sun shall be turned into darkness,
And the moon into blood,
Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord.
21 And it shall come to pass
That whoever calls on the name of the Lord
Shall be saved.’[a]

22 “Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a Man attested by God to you by miracles, wonders, and signs which God did through Him in your midst, as you yourselves also know—

His Faithfulness

Romans 8: 26-39 NKJV

26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us[b] with groaning’s which cannot be uttered.27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. 29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.

God’s Everlasting Love

31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? 33 Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.

35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written:

“For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”[c]

37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Prayer: Father in Heaven in Jesus our Redeemer we come knowing our Lord Jesus sits on the Throne of Righteousness and by His Grace we can come into Your Holy presence. Father we thank You for our Visitors and the privilege of being made Joint-Heir with Christ our Lord, and by Your Grace Lord Jesus we are all children of God through You Lord Jesus. Thank You Lord for coming and redeemed us by Your Blood at Calvary. To You Lord Jesus is the Power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen

Think on this today:
Why do we have challenges in our daily lives? Is there a force that likes to impede our progress? Remember the closer you get to the Lord the harder the devil works to cause you to stumble, because he knows that you are loved by The Lord and he wants to take you away. This is the work of evil, and we must recognize this and walk in the Light, and the Light is Jesus our Lord and Savior.

Jesus said My Peace I give... and the Peace is not like what man give...

Devotionals for Tuesday March 10, 2015

MORNING:

FOCUS: God doesn’t need your permission to make you serve Him if He chooses you.

Aaron was chosen to be the High-Priest during the time of the Israelites’ journey to the Promised-Land.  Remember this was the same Aaron who made the golden calf, and even lied about it, as Aaron told Moses that the golden calf was formed out of the fire… So how could God choose such a person as Aaron to be the High-Priest?

God does not look at the outer appearance He sees our Heart, what’s in our heart that we can see?  The heart is our ‘ground-zero’ the heart control our pulses and this reflects our emotions, our reactions, just like the Lie-Detector equipment that will reveal the truth even when one is not telling the truth.  God saw the repentance of Aaron and his ‘well-intention’ and knew that Aaron was ready to serve.

Are you a candidate for God to choose? God chose Moses in spite of the fact that Moses was not a great communicator… Yet Moses was chosen to lead millions of people from bondage, and to be the ‘Curator-compiler’ of the first five Books of the Old Testament.

Moses was the most humble man ever… a real ‘servant’ of God… and we read that Jesus said we are no longer servants, but He made us His friends…

No being a Servant of God chosen by Him does not make you an Elite, you are only set apart as He has prepared a place for those that He called, and each of us are called in one way or the other.  Just like those that were called during the uprising in the wilderness, those that were against God were swallowed up by the crack in the earth.  Those that responded to be with God were preserved.

All of the Old Testament teaching that we have are insight of the advent of Christ and His eventual return.

Hebrews 8 New King James Version (NKJV)

The New Priestly Service

Now this is the main point of the things we are saying: We have such a High Priest, who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens, a Minister of the sanctuary and of the true tabernacle which the Lord erected, and not man.

His Faithfulness

Colossians 1: 9-20

Preeminence of Christ

For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 10 that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; 11 strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy; 12 giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light.13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, 14 in whom we have redemption through His blood,[c] the forgiveness of sins.

15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.

Reconciled in Christ

19 For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, 20 and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.

Because Jesus said, He came that we may have an abundant life and have it 'more' abundantly... why did Jesus said 'more' in describing 'Abundant'? Because He has prepared a way for each of us to have a 'Double-Portion' and His double-portion is an eternal life in Him.

MORNING:

FOCUS: God will do what He wants, sometimes He will let you know before He does it… (See God’s discussion with Moses)

God was guiding Moses taking the Israelites to Canaan but the journey of two plus million people had many difficult times due to their lack of faith…In spite of their unbelief God did deliver them to the Promised Land.

Numbers 14: 1-16 New King James Version (NKJV)

Israel Refuses to Enter Canaan

14 So all the congregation lifted up their voices and cried, and the people wept that night. And all the children of Israel complained against Moses and Aaron, and the whole congregation said to them, “If only we had died in the land of Egypt! Or if only we had died in this wilderness! Why has the Lord brought us to this land to fall by the sword, that our wives and children should become victims? Would it not be better for us to return to Egypt?” So they said to one another, “Let us select a leader and return to Egypt.”

We recently spoke of God’s reasoning with Moses and Moses’ bold response to the Lord…. 15 Now if You kill these people as one man, then the nations which have heard of Your fame will speak, saying, 16 ‘Because the Lord was not able to bring this people to the land which He swore to give them, therefore He killed them in the wilderness.’

TEXT:

Numbers 14: 11-25 Moses Intercedes for the People

Devotional:

Coming to the Lord

Today God is the same as when He was leading Moses… and we are no different from the Israelites while we are journeying to Him.  Where are we? You may be living in a penthouse in one of the major cities of the world or living on an estate or just having a place in an apartment house, everyone will be going to the same place… Dust to dust, naked we came and we take nothing.  But being made in the Likeness of God, we have the best to come.

EVENING- His Faithfulness:

Romans 8:1-4New King James Version (NKJV)

Free from Indwelling Sin

There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, [a]who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

Knowing Him – Fellowship in Oneness:

God made the above Divine Covenant through Jesus who through His Blood of Atonement, a Sacrifice for us all who come to Him and by His Grace we will receive His Holy Spirit, as said in Christ there is no condemnation (To those who are in Christ)

Prayer:  Heavenly Father in Jesus our Lord and Savior we come… Lord Jesus thank You for being our Mediator to the Father, just as how Moses interceded to You Lord, You are doing this for us to Your Father, Lord Jesus today we affirm You as God in One of the Father and Lord we look to that day when we shall see Your Lord Jesus.  Because You came and did the Will of the Father and through Your Divine Grace we are saved by Your Grace and not of anything we do.

Lord be with our Visitors and Lord we Praise You and worship Your Holy Name as You are sovereign and knowing that You are the Great ‘I AM’ and in You we have Victory… Lord Jesus be with us all as we go in Faith knowing that all things work for the good of those who love You Lord. To You Lord Jesus is the power and the glory now and forevermore… Amen.

FOCUS:          A Badge of Honor or a Badge of ‘Shame’…some issued by man will be converted to a ‘Badge of Honor” but from God it is a Badge of ‘Virtue’

Saul earned the reputation of persecuting Christians…  Saul later known as Paul participated in the stoning of Stephen who was martyred while Paul looked on… (Acts 6: 58)  And the witnesses laid down their clothes at the feet of a young man named Saul.59 And they stoned Stephen as he was calling on God and saying, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.” 60 Then he knelt down and cried out with a loud voice, “Lord, do not charge them with this sin.” And when he had said this, he fell asleep.

Saul later known as Paul was chosen by Christ,  and Paul defined the three theological virtues, from the letters of St. Paul of Tarsus, are faithhope, and charity (or love)

TEXT     Acts 6: 1- 7 New King James Version (NKJV)

Seven Chosen to Serve

Now in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplying, there arose a complaint against the Hebrews by the Hellenists, [a] because their widows were neglected in the daily distribution. Then the twelve summoned the multitude of the disciples and said, “It is not desirable that we should leave the word of God and serve tables. Therefore, brethren, seek out from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business; but we will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the word.”

And the saying pleased the whole multitude. And they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit, and Philip, Prochorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolas, a proselyte from Antioch, whom they set before the apostles; and when they had prayed, they laid hands on them.

Then the word of God spread, and the number of the disciples multiplied greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests were obedient to the faith.

Stephen Accused of Blasphemy

And Stephen, full of faith[b] and power, did great wonders and signs among the people. Then there arose some from what is called the Synagogue of the Freedmen (Cyrenians, Alexandrians, and those from Cilicia and Asia), disputing with Stephen. 10 And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the Spirit by which he spoke. 11 Then they secretly induced men to say, “We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses and God.” 12 And they stirred up the people, the elders, and the scribes; and they came upon him, seized him, and brought him to the council. 13 They also set up false witnesses who said, “This man does not cease to speak blasphemous[c] words against this holy place and the law; 14 for we have heard him say that this Jesus of Nazareth will destroy this place and change the customs which Moses delivered to us.” 15 And all who sat in the council, looking steadfastly at him, saw his face as the face of an angel.

Acts 7:  54-60

Stephen the Martyr

54 When they heard these things they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed at him with their teeth. 55 But he, being full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God, 56 and said, “Look! I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!”

57 Then they cried out with a loud voice, stopped their ears, and ran at him with one accord; 58 and they cast him out of the city and stoned him. And the witnesses laid down their clothes at the feet of a young man named Saul.59 And they stoned Stephen as he was calling on God and saying, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.” 60 Then he knelt down and cried out with a loud voice, “Lord, do not charge them with this sin.” And when he had said this, he fell asleep.

Saul is chosen to be a Vessel for Christ…

The Damascus Road: Saul Converted

Then Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest and asked letters from him to the synagogues of Damascus, so that if he found any who were of the Way, whether men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem.

As he journeyed he came near Damascus, and suddenly a light shone around him from heaven. Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?”

And he said, “Who are You, Lord?”

Then the Lord said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting.[a] It is hard for you to kick against the goads.”

Ananias Baptizes Saul

10 Now there was a certain disciple at Damascus named Ananias; and to him the Lord said in a vision, “Ananias.”

And he said, “Here I am, Lord.”

11 So the Lord said to him, “Arise and go to the street called Straight, and inquire at the house of Judas for one called Saul of Tarsus, for behold, he is praying. 12 And in a vision he has seen a man named Ananias coming in and putting his hand on him, so that he might receive his sight.”

13 Then Ananias answered, “Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much harm he has done to Your saints in Jerusalem. 14 And here he has authority from the chief priests to bind all who call on Your name.”

15 But the Lord said to him, “Go, for he is a chosen vessel of Mine to bear My name before Gentiles, kings, and the children of Israel. 16 For I will show him how many things he must suffer for My name’s sake.”

17 And Ananias went his way and entered the house; and laying his hands on him he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, [b] who appeared to you on the road as you came, has sent me that you may receive your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.” 18 Immediately there fell from his eyes something like scales, and he received his sight at once; and he arose and was baptized.

19 So when he had received food, he was strengthened. Then Saul spent some days with the disciples at Damascus.

Saul Preaches Christ - 20 Immediately he preached the Christ[c] in the synagogues, that He is the Son of God.

21 Then all who heard were amazed, and said, “Is this not he who destroyed those who called on this name in Jerusalem, and has come here for that purpose, so that he might bring them bound to the chief priests?”

22 But Saul increased all the more in strength, and confounded the Jews who dwelt in Damascus, proving that this Jesus is the Christ.

The Faithfulness of God… We see God choosing those He wants to serve Him… Stephen who was being stoned to death, Jesus did not stop those killing Stephen, rather The Lord wanted Stephen home with Him… Saul was struck down by The Lord and made a Vessel to bring the Gospel to many. Paul was taken up to heaven and shown marvelous things; sent back to serve The Lord and Paul became a dedicated messenger for Christ.

Knowing Him – Fellowship in Oneness:  Let it be Your will Lord… Today as we hear the message of Jesus’ redemption by His Blood of Atonement, let us affirm that Jesus is the Unblemished Lamb of God who died once and rose triumphantly to be on the Throne of Righteousness forever and He is coming again. Come to Christ today and be made a ‘Joint-Heir’ to His Kingdom…

Prayer:  Heavenly Father in Jesus our Lord and Savior we come… Lord Jesus thank You for preserving Your Divine WORD through those whom You chose to serve You as the Bible is all about You Lord and all about Your Love, yet we must remember that transgression is an abomination to You Lord and we must know the consequence that the wrath deserved will be upon us for wilfully sinning, as to wilfully sin we are doing what Moses did of striking the rock twice... because You died Once and Rose triumphantly we have Your Divine Redemption. Lord be with our Visitors and Lord preserve us and keep us in Grace as we look to You Lord as the Author and Finisher of our Faith… To You Lord Jesus is the Power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen.

Devotionals for Saturday March 7, 2015

MORNING:

FOCUS:      The Sonic-Boom…The speed of sound yes… but the speed of light? Not yet. But we are ready we will…

Sonic Boom we have and this is flying at the speed of sound… what we like to refer to the sound of ‘Freedom’.

Recently we experienced a ‘Sonic-Boom’ overhead, this an earth shaking experience.  The ancient downing of the wall of Jericho was probably multiple times more in Sonic-booms than what we heard from the F16C Falcon Jets.

TEXT     Joshua 6: 8-21   And just as Joshua had commanded the people, the seven priests bearing the seven trumpets of rams’ horns before the Lord went forward, blowing the trumpets, with the ark of the covenant of the Lord following them. The armed men were walking before the priests who were blowing the trumpets, and the rear guard was walking after the ark, while the trumpets blew continually. 10 But Joshua commanded the people, “You shall not shout or make your voice heard, neither shall any word go out of your mouth, until the day I tell you to shout. Then you shall shout.” 11 So he caused the ark of the Lord to circle the city, going about it once. And they came into the camp and spent the night in the camp.

12 Then Joshua rose early in the morning, and the priests took up the ark of the Lord. 13 And the seven priests bearing the seven trumpets of rams’ horns before the ark of the Lord walked on, and they blew the trumpets continually. And the armed men were walking before them, and the rear guard was walking after the ark of the Lord, while the trumpets blew continually. 14 And the second day they marched around the city once, and returned into the camp. So they did for six days.

15 On the seventh day they rose early, at the dawn of day, and marched around the city in the same manner seven times. It was only on that day that they marched around the city seven times. 16 And at the seventh time, when the priests had blown the trumpets, Joshua said to the people, “Shout, for the Lord has given you the city. 17 And the city and all that is within it shall be devoted to the Lord for destruction.2 Only Rahab the prostitute and all who are with her in her house shall live, because she hid the messengers whom we sent. 18 But you, keep yourselves from the things devoted to destruction, lest when you have devoted them you take any of the devoted things and make the camp of Israel pa thing for destruction and bring trouble upon it. 19 But all silver and gold, and every vessel of bronze and iron, are holy to the Lord; they shall go into the treasury of the Lord.” 20 So the people shouted, and the trumpets were blown. As soon as the people heard the sound of the trumpet, the people shouted a great shout, and the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they captured the city. 21 Then they devoted all in the city to destruction, both men and women, young and old, oxen, sheep, and donkeys, with the edge of the sword.

The Mighty Power of God is seen above, and the Power of Christ...

Jesus Dies on the Cross:

Matthew 27: 45-54

45 Now from the sixth hour until the ninth hour there was darkness over all the land. 46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?” that is, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”[k]

47 Some of those who stood there, when they heard that, said, “This Man is calling for Elijah!” 48 Immediately one of them ran and took a sponge, filled it with sour wine and put it on a reed, and offered it to Him to drink.

49 The rest said, “Let Him alone; let us see if Elijah will come to save Him.”

50 And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit.

51 Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split, 52 and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised; 53 and coming out of the graves after His resurrection, they went into the holy city and appeared to many.

54 So when the centurion and those with him, who were guarding Jesus, saw the earthquake and the things that had happened, they feared greatly, saying, “Truly this was the Son of God!”

Knowing Him – Fellowship in Oneness:

1 Corinthians 1-9 New King James Version (NKJV)

Greeting

Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother,

To the church of God which is at Corinth, to those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all who in every place call on the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Spiritual Gifts at Corinth

I thank my God always concerning you for the grace of God which was given to you by Christ Jesus, that you were enriched in everything by Him in all utterance and all knowledge, even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you, so that you come short in no gift, eagerly waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will also confirm you to the end, that you may beblameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

EVENING:

Philippians 3:16 Nevertheless, to the degree that we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us be of the same mind.

We are to attain a closer walk with Christ by giving him first place in my life:
By focusing on what I can do for His Glory and let Him work in me for His glory being the righteousness of God. To focus on him and. Grow in him; ‘Focus on Jesus not on myself’ Change from work to Grace by faith, there’s no substitute for our savior

Approach every day by making Christ preeminent in our lives

Philippians 3: 9  and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith.

Have a zeal to serve Him, when we can say… I have found a friend in Christ, knowing that Ephesians 2: 8-9 is by His Grace…For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.

Prayer: Heavenly Father in Jesus our Lord and Savior we come.  Lord thank You for Your Grace, Your Divine Redemption, and Your Unconditional love.  Lord we praise You and give You first place in all as we yield to You and seek a closer walk with You. Jesus Messiah, we thank You for being our Intercessor as we are presented to the Father by Your Righteousness and by Your Blood of Atonement we are saved.  Father we acknowledge that there is one God and one Mediator between You Father and man, and it is by Your Son Jesus Christ who gave Himself a ransom for us all.  Lord let Your Holy Spirit be indwelling in us as we go in Faith.  Lord bless our Visitors and grant us all Your favors. We pray in Your Holy Name and to You is the power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen.

MORNING:

FOCUS: Defying Gravity… something man is still trying to achieve…

Beam me up Scotty… the famous lines from the TV series Star-Trek® The ascension of Jesus was not a ‘virtual reality’ it was a real life situation seen my His disciples.

Does God need our Help?   No! But He placed us here for a purpose, what is this purpose?

You are a Chosen Generation….

Text:

1 Peter 2:9

Amplified Bible (AMP)

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation; [God’s] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

Commentary:

How privileged we are… step out of darkness into His marvelous light!

Just think that we are special… We are of ‘Royalty’ associated with HIS Priesthood, purchased by His Blood of Atonement; He pointed us in the direction to perform His wonderful deeds and display His Virtues and His perfection, all of these belong to our Lord as He has made us a Joint-Heir in Him.

What our Lord has said… We are granted the privilege of being in His Palace, it is like the queen of England saying, and you may enter into Buckingham Palace and move in and be a subject of Royalty… But what our Lord said is far Greater than the Queen’s invitation, she herself would like His Invitation to enter His Royal Suite, and be a Subject of the Most High, The King of all kings…

So today as we read His Faithful Words, let us recognize that these are not mere suggestions, they are as factual as can be, and should be fully acknowledged that our God does not say anything that he doesn’t mean, not does He engage in idle talk.

Therefore as a Royal Subject, let us conduct ourselves like a distinguished subject of our Lord, but yet he humble and without pride, and without self exaltation. And serve our Lord as a servant to His community by setting forth His Wonderful Deeds and display His Virtues of perfection in the full light of His Radiance.

Conclusion:

As we spend today, either looking back at the week’s activities; and reflecting on what have we accomplished? And what have we done that to help others, or did we add to our wallets resources for the coming days? Or did we secure the means of meeting our financial needs, or our spiritual needs, are we healthier today than last week? Are we just ‘Jogging in place’? or do we have that sense of accomplishment with a week of fulfillment?  All these questions are answered by one single instruction from our Lord…

His Promise / His Faithfulness:

Psalm 32:8 Amplified Bible (AMP)

I [the Lord] will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you.

Psalm 25:14 Amplified Bible (AMP) 14 The secret [of the sweet, satisfying companionship] of the Lord have they who fear (revere and worship) Him, and He will show them His covenant and reveal to them its [deep, inner] meaning.

Action/Coming to our Lord:

A short but specific request to our Lord:

Psalm 25:4-5 Amplified Bible (AMP)

Show me Your ways, O Lord; teach me Your paths.

Guide me in Your truth and faithfulness and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; for You [You only and altogether] do I wait [expectantly] all the day long.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, in Jesus our Sovereign eternal God in One of Your Holy Trinity we come.  Lord Jesus as you ascended to the Throne of Righteousness as our Lord and Savior, Lord we thank You as through You Lord we were made Joint-Heir to Your Kingdom. Lord we are privileged to be called a Royal Priesthood by Your Redemption, and only by Your Divine Resurrection we can have Victory in You Lord.  Lord we are privileged and Blessed and we Praise you and give You first place in all our lives. Lord, thank You for the many Visitors coming to hear Your Good News today and Lord bless our Visitors and grants us all Your Favors. We pray in Your Holy Name Lord Jesus to You are the Power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen.

MORNING:

FOCUS: He is ready to lend you the ‘Jack’ and even will help change the flat tire…

The story of Presumption… ‘The Flat tire with no Jack’

The story goes… a motorist on a lone country road had a flat; he stopped and opened the trunk to get his spare, but found no Jack.  In dismay, he looked around on this lonely countryside, and saw a light in a farmhouse on the hill, he waited to see if there would be a passing car to get help but no traffic came by. So he started to trek up the hillside.

While hiking to the farmhouse he started to wonder, how someone will react at 3 AM in the morning.  He started telling himself that the person would be pretty mad being disturbed at 3 Am, by the time he got to the door, and knocked, a farmer opened the door, and he blurted out ‘Are you going to lend me the *.*.*.X jack or not? The farmer said I beg your pardon?  The motorist said I am sorry, all along walking up here, I told myself that I would be meeting an irate person that I was going to disturb. The farmer said, follow me, he went into his barn, backed out his pickup truck, and said jump in, he drove to his car, changed his tires and them wished him safe journey.

What have we learned from this story? Sometimes we do the same when meeting someone, we ‘Presume’ by pre-judging others, and in most cases our judgment lead to premature conclusions.

Only Jesus did not pre-judge anyone, as His statement that “ALL” have sinned and come short of the Glory of God. He was not pre-judging us, He knew us as He created us and we went against His Commandments.  Not only the 10 Commandments, as He said if we break one we have broken them all. But before we were even able to commit a sin, we were born in sin because of Adam.

If you had a choice of who to represent, assuming the choice was a Winner versus an unknown that could be a loser in the end, the obvious choice would be to go with the winner... The following words are what described our Lord Jesus when we choose HIM:

  • Victory
  • Triumph
  • Sovereignty
  • Joint-Heir
  • Providence
  • Goodness & Righteousness

Remember our Lord also gave us a Sound-Mind with Power. Now all these goodness is wrapped up in one tidy package which Jesus called... Faith.

EVENING:

Coming to The Lord:

Coping with the anxieties of this world, today we have a HERO… and our Hero is our Sovereign God.

The Supremacy of God… a forgotten fact among many today; since the beginning of history humans all over the world have sought to achieve greatness on their own. In recent times, we have seen the tyrants of the world, the exploiters of their own, and the persecutors of others and especially against Christians in certain parts of the world.

As the age of information came, so did the rise of the anxiety meter of most individuals, we are bombarded with news and reports of violence and constant conflicts among nations and an array of world events that are making the “Days of Noah” appear to be more like a simpler time… really? No the human traits have not changed only more amplified and expanded to a greater extent.

Prayer: Prayer: Heavenly Father in Jesus we come. Lord today we Praise You and thank You Lord for Your Graciousness. Lord thank You for the privilege of serving You and having Visitors to our sites bearing Your Good Need for Your Glory. Lord we seek Your Divine guidance and we seek Your blessings on our Visitors and Lord let there be just one that will come to know You today as the angels will celebrate in heaven. Lord we pray for the needs of all as we know that in You we have Victory and all things work together for good as we love You Lord. We pray in Your Holy Name Lord Jesus and to You is the power and the glory now and forevermore… Amen.

MORNING:

FOCUS: Which would you prefer… a) Living in the city or; b) in the tranquility of the countryside?

Health, Wealth & time enough to enjoy… This is the ideal desire for most of us…

We want to reflect on the choice that the nephew of Abram, Lot who chose to leave the countryside to live in the city of Sodom.

TEXT     Genesis 13: 5- 13… Lot also, who went with Abram, had flocks and herds and tents. Now the land was not able to support them, that they might dwell together, for their possessions were so great that they could not dwell together. And there was strife between the herdsmen of Abram’s livestock and the herdsmen of Lot’s livestock. The Canaanites and the Perizzites then dwelt in the land.

So Abram said to Lot, “Please let there be no strife between you and me, and between my herdsmen and your herdsmen; for we are brethren. Is not the whole land before you? Please separate from me. If you take the left, then I will go to the right; or, if you go to the right, then I will go to the left.”

10 And Lot lifted his eyes and saw all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered everywhere (before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah) like the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt as you go toward Zoar. 11 Then Lot chose for himself all the plain of Jordan, and Lot journeyed east. And they separated from each other. 12 Abram dwelt in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelt in the cities of the plain and pitched his tent even as far as Sodom. 13 But the men of Sodom were exceedingly wicked and sinful against the Lord.

Abram who we know as Abraham (Because God renamed him Abraham) stayed in the countryside, but his nephew Lot chose the city lights… today we are surrounded by the ‘city-light’s and as we ask this question; ‘Are we there yet?’

Why ask? Because the Bible said… Luke 17:26

And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: In Context | Full Chapter

Luke 17: 20-30… The Coming of the Kingdom

20 Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation; 21 nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’  For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.”

22 Then He said to the disciples, “The days will come when you will desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it. 23 And they will say to you, ‘Look here!’ or ‘Look there!’[e] Do not go after them or follow them.24 For as the lightning that flashes out of one part under heaven shines to the other part under heaven, so also the Son of Man will be in His day. 25 But first He must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation. 26 And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: 27 They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.28 Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; 29 but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all.30 Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed.

The Message above is for many not so good-news, but to many it is greeted with a response…”I can’t wait for that day”

Devotional:

As we address the undertaking for this day, we want to share the Good-News…

Romans 8:1-4 New King James Version (NKJV)

Free from Indwelling Sin

There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, [a]who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

MORNING:

FOCUS: What would it take to ‘fix’ the turmoil-conflict of Iraq, Syria, Iran, Israel and other places? The solution is staring us in the face Just imagine a place where Harmony among the above nations living in peace… there Was such a time as described on the day of Pentecost where many were gathered…

Acts 2: And there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men, from every nation under heaven. And when this sound occurred, the multitude came together, and were confused, because everyone heard them speak in his own language. Then they were all amazed and marveled, saying to one another, “Look, are not all these who speak Galileans? And how is it that we hear, each in our own language in which we were born? Parthians and Medes and Elamites, those dwelling in Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, 10 Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya adjoining Cyrene, visitors from Rome, both Jews and proselytes, 11 Cretans and Arabs—we hear them speaking in our own tongues the wonderful works of God.” 12 So they were all amazed and perplexed, saying to one another, “Whatever could this mean?”

Acts 2:1

[Coming of the Holy Spirit] When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

Will this ever be so again?  It was Albert Einstein who said… I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones. By Albert Einstein

TEXT:  Matthew 22: 37-39 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.” 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”

Everything in life costs money or time and time is money. But time dedicated to the Lord’s work is ‘His’ time.  A small station could start with a budget of $X that is sustainable by a funding source that keeps them productive, but as they achieve a degree of success; so they ‘expand’ and then they grow out of control, they then need a Corporate Jet or even a Commercial Aircraft to move around.  This is what we call getting on the ‘treadmill of the world’ no evangelist, preacher or pastor is that important that he must be in NY in the morning, Miami in the afternoon and then back to his home base.  Is he operating a ‘mission of mercy’, saving lives or appearing as a ‘celebrity?  Or is it to ensure that the congregation sees him every Sunday to maintain a steady cash flow?  We are not hitting on Evangelists or anyone, but it is easy to be trapped in a groove thinking we are serving the Lord, but we are factually serving our ego or a lifestyle.

One could say, look at that evangelist, check out his house, look at the size of his mega church, and his lifestyle, so what? This ‘Evangelist’ may have written a NY Times Bestseller not once, but three or four times, and his book royalties are in the millions.  So let us not judge.  But there are many doing what Judas did (Dipping in the money-bag)

Only God sees us all from the inside-out and sooner or later what’s hidden will be brought to light.  As said the truth will endure.

Many dedicated faithful servants of the Lord spend their life spreading the Good News and are providing fellowship in the Lord’s name, serving by relationship, counselling and leading many to Christ. Many organizations function well with total transparency accounting for every ‘penny’ of what they receive and are good-stewards.  For a list of these we would be pleased to provide you one upon request.

EVENING:

So as not to judge we leave it all to time and allowing the trust to prevail.  We support the notion… It is far better to give than to receive! Jesus told His disciples to go and take nothing… for the disciples Jesus laid out a ‘network’ of benefactors that are always ready to support His ministry, because all work in His name are ‘His’ Ministry, they are not ours.  If they are of man then it is a ‘business’.

The early church was founded by a few and the benefactor was a ‘Merchant of Purple cloth’

Acts 17: 13-15

Lydia’s Conversion in Philippi

13 On the Sabbath we went outside the city gate to the river, where we expected to find a place of prayer. We sat down and began to speak to the women who had gathered there. 14 One of those listening was a woman from the city of Thyatira named Lydia, a dealer in purple cloth. She was a worshiper of God. The Lord opened her heart to respond to Paul’s message. 15 When she and the members of her household were baptized, she invited us to her home. “If you consider me a believer in the Lord,” she said, “come and stay at my house.” And she persuaded us.

The follower of Christ experienced many travesties, and even the death of Stephen who was stoned to death, and welcomed home by Jesus as Stephen prayed and said… Lord receive my Spirit.  This is in the city of Antioch where the first Christian Church was founded and followers of Christ were first called ‘Christians’.  Stephen’s death could be attributed to what the Bible said… without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sins.

Acts 17: 16-38

Paul and Silas in Prison

16 Once when we were going to the place of prayer, we were met by a female slave who had a spirit by which she predicted the future. She earned a great deal of money for her owners by fortune-telling.17 She followed Paul and the rest of us, shouting, “These men are servants of the Most High God, who are telling you the way to be saved.” 18 She kept this up for many days. Finally Paul became so annoyed that he turned around and said to the spirit, “In the name of Jesus Christ I command you to come out of her!” At that moment the spirit left her.

19 When her owners realized that their hope of making money was gone, they seized Paul and Silas and dragged them into the marketplace to face the authorities. 20 They brought them before the magistrates and said, “These men are Jews, and are throwing our city into an uproar 21 by advocating customs unlawful for us Romans to accept or practice.”

22 The crowd joined in the attack against Paul and Silas, and the magistrates ordered them to be stripped and beaten with rods. 23 After they had been severely flogged, they were thrown into prison, and the jailer was commanded to guard them carefully. 24 When he received these orders, he put them in the inner cell and fastened their feet in the stocks.

The Great Miraculous Jail-break…

25 About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. 26 Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose. 27 The jailer woke up, and when he saw the prison doors open, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself because he thought the prisoners had escaped. 28 But Paul shouted, “Don’t harm yourself! We are all here!”

29 The jailer called for lights, rushed in and fell trembling before Paul and Silas. 30 He then brought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”

31 They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.” 32 Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all the others in his house. 33 At that hour of the night the jailer took them and washed their wounds; then immediately he and all his household were baptized. 34 The jailer brought them into his house and set a meal before them; he was filled with joy because he had come to believe in God—he and his whole household.

35 When it was daylight, the magistrates sent their officers to the jailer with the order: “Release those men.” 36 The jailer told Paul, “The magistrates have ordered that you and Silas be released. Now you can leave. Go in peace.”

37 But Paul said to the officers: “They beat us publicly without a trial, even though we are Roman citizens, and threw us into prison. And now do they want to get rid of us quietly? No! Let them come themselves and escort us out.”

38 The officers reported this to the magistrates, and when they heard that Paul and Silas were Roman citizens, they were alarmed. 39 They came to appease them and escorted them from the prison, requesting them to leave the city.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father It is with Awe that we come knowing Jesus our Redeemer rose triumphantly and sits on the Throne of Righteousness. Lord Jesus our Sovereign Eternal God in Your Holy Trinity of our Father and the Holy Spirit, we come today knowing that we serve You our Living God who is Lord of lords and King of kings and You Jesus our Messiah is our Salvation.  Lord today as we go forward in Faith, grant us Your Favors and equip us as we seek to serve You and are privileged to be a Vessel bearing your Word of Life. Lord bless the visitors coming to this website and let Your Peace be upon all, as all we do is for Your Glory. Devotionals for Monday March 2, 2015

MORNING:

FOCUS: Can you imagine telling God…”if you do that what will other think? And they will say you have failed?

The Sovereignty of God… Yet He will reason, It took a brave man like Moses telling God that If you do what you said you will do (Kill them), then the people will say You brought them out of Egypt and ‘Failed’ to bring them to the Promised land so You killed them… This takes a brave person like Moses, but Moses had no ulterior motive, and God looks at our Heart and He saw that Moses was well intentioned.

Our Lord is a God of reasoning… While God told Moses to speak to the rock and it would give water… Moses struck the rock twice, and God said…12 Then the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, “Because you did not believe Me, to hallow Me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them.”

Commentary: In a prior instruction from God to Moses, God did authorized Moses to ‘Strike’ the Rock and Water flowed, We could look at God’s second instruction to Moses to “Speak” to the Rock, actually God was actually giving Moses ‘more’ power to reveal to the people the Power of God.  We could also say that Moses was not a very good ‘public-speaker’ so he decided to physical strike the rock as he did once before. Nevertheless… this demonstrated that we must follow His instructions carefully.

So what is His instruction to us in our modern time…?  Matthew 22: 37-39 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.” 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”

TEXT: Number 20: 7-12 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 8 “Take the rod; you and your brother Aaron gather the congregation together. Speak to the rock before their eyes, and it will yield its water; thus you shall bring water for them out of the rock, and give drink to the congregation and their animals.” 9 So Moses took the rod from before the Lord as He commanded him.

10 And Moses and Aaron gathered the assembly together before the rock; and he said to them, “Hear now, you rebels! Must we bring water for you out of this rock?” 11 Then Moses lifted his hand and struck the rock twice with his rod; and water came out abundantly, and the congregation and their animals drank.

12 Then the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, “Because you did not believe Me, to hallow Me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them.”

The Mercies of an Ever-Loving God…

While Moses was denied by God in going into Canaan, we see Moses and Elijah coming to Christ at the Transfiguration… Therefore Moses was not left here on earth as we see below where Moses and Elijah speaking with Jesus. Therefore, God with His compassion for Moses took him straight to Heaven, giving Moses a better place than Canaan.

Matthew 17: 17 Now after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, led them up on a high mountain by themselves; 2 and He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light. 3 And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him. 4 Then Peter answered and said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good for us to be here; if You wish, let us[a] make here three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”

5 While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and suddenly a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!” 6 And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their faces and were greatly afraid. 7 But Jesus came and touched them and said, “Arise, and do not be afraid.” 8 When they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no one but Jesus only.

The Power of an Almighty God… The Booming Voice that came from above… saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!” 6 And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their faces and were greatly afraid. 7 But Jesus came and touched them and said, “Arise, and do not be afraid.” 8 When they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no one but Jesus only.

Conclusion:

Today’s society has conceived a God of ‘love’ a forgiving God, and a God of a ‘Second-Chance’. We must say that God never changes, He is the Same yesterday, today and forever. So we must remember the ‘Wrath of God’ and His wrath (defined as by the Webster Dictionary…strong, stern, or fierce anger; deeply resentful indignation; ire, vengeance or punishment as the consequence of anger.)

We must remember while God will not willfully place His wrath on us… we on the other hand must remember, that we must not ‘wilfully-sin’ and…

His Assurance:

Romans 8:1-4 New King James Version (NKJV)

Free from Indwelling Sin

There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, [a] who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

Coming to Christ…

 2 Corinthians 5:21

"God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God"

Colossians 1: 15-20 New International Version (NIV)

The Supremacy of the Son of God

15 The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. 17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18 And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. 19 For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him,20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.

For He said:  All things work together for good to those that love the Lord…

Romans 8:28
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Devotionals for Sunday March 1, 2015

MORNING:

FOCUS: Give Thanks instead of worrying… Look up make sure that you are asking for a real cause, if you do His abundance will flow.

Recently visiting with an old friend of mine that is approaching his 94th Birthday, so I asked… How are you and his reply was, ‘I am down’ as I worry about the future… after speaking for a few minutes, I found out that he had that feeling of insecurity because his income was limited.  I had to remind him that he lives in a house that was worth almost a million dollars, he had a ‘Reverse-Mortgage’ that he did not have to make any payments, his mortgage, taxes and insurance were paid from the reverse-mortgage, and his social security check gave him enough to live, pay for his car and still had a few dollars for charitable contributions (which he took delight in giving) and above all at 94 years old he was healthy as his physician said after his annual check-up, the doctor told him…”I will see you a year from now” .  After this I said John…”you have so much to thank the Lord for, and to worry you are acting contrary to having faith in the Lord.  So remember, yesterday is gone, tomorrow is not yet here, today is a great day, so give thanks to The Lord”.  So he said, when my friend comes over he will start sharing his new outlook of thanking the Lord for His graciousness.

TEXT: Philippians 4:4-9New King James Version (NKJV)

Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!

Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Meditate on These Things

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.
