MORNING

Focus:  Are you at a new ‘Crossroads’ in life?  The challenges we face are all man-made, God gave us a Rose Garden…

The Air that we breathe is free, the rain from the sky is free, the Sunlight is free, the blooming Cactus and so is that hidden un-cut Diamond in the ground until someone claims it. So what are we saying? Until man laid claim to these resources these were all eminent domain.

We have made the air polluted, we have done the same to our water and changed the Ozone layer by our environmental irresponsibility.

There is probably much worse to point a finger at.  Prescribing Ritalin® to kids with a substance that is addictive is a predatory approach. Ritalin is currently prescribed to approximately six million people in the US.

75% of these are children, with boys receiving Ritalin about four times more often than girls.

Suicide is the third leading cause of death for 15 to 24 year olds. Each year, about a million people worldwide take their own lives.

Are the pharmaceutical/drug companies’ intent of helping or on taking money, yes it is money and they are also taking lives.  This is probably our fourth blog on this subject, and it is intended to focus on the law of the land. What is the law, if a crime is committed cross state-line it becomes a Federal crime, Aiding and Abetting is another criminal act.  Where do we see the ‘criminal-act’ the outfall of the drugs that produces suicidal death, this is a capital punishment.  The 5 seconds disclosure statement following the advertisement of the drug always end by saying ‘Ask your doctor’. These pharma groups spend billions cultivating physicians’ loyalty making them ‘legal-drug pushers’. This does not relieve them of the responsibility of harming people.

The legal parallel of using the disclaimer is like the seller of a truck telling you that standing in front of a moving truck can kill you, so consult a safety specialist. We all know that moving trucks will crush us, but the drug manufacturers need to say that their product is deadly.

We can argue this point to death because you can also die from drinking too much water according to Scientific American. But the overriding factor is; no one is telling a kid to stand in front of a moving truck or to drink 5- gallons of water. But the prescriptions of deadly drugs are a criminal act even with their disclosures and warning labels.

So as we address the ‘new-crossroads’ let us stay the course by focusing on our Lord as He is Merciful and He is ready to bless you and His plan for you is not to harm you but to prosper you.

TEXT:   Revelation 22:1-3 New International Version (NIV)

Eden Restored

22 Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him.

Think on this        :  Praying to the Lord is the Most-Important Meeting we can have in our daily lives…

Isaiah 40: 31 but those who hope in the Lord
    will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.

All other things we do are secondary, as only our Lord can Divinely prepare us for the day, He can smooth our tasks, inspire us, give us His Blessings, and by His Grace we can cope with all aspects of life’s responsibilities.

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundant above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.

from Ephesians 3:20 (NKJV) When we serve others by spreading the Good News, we are sprinkling the Fragrance of our Lord Jesus, and we also get the sweet smelling fragrance on ourselves… meaning that we are privileged to be a Vessel bearing the sweet smell of our Lord and Redeemer, and while we spread His Fragrance our Lord also blesses us with His Grace…

2 Corinthians 2:15 New King James Version (NKJV) 15 For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing.

His Promise:

Ephesians 2: 4-10  But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith —and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Jew and Gentile Reconciled Through Christ

Heaven is a place of Incomprehensible beauty and peace, Let us give thanks in Faith to our Lord Jesus that Paid It All

Romans 10:13 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Prayer:

Heavenly Father in Jesus we come…Lord Jesus we thank You for the Covenant of Your promise that in Your Father’s Kingdom there are many mansions, and where You are we will be. Devotionals for Sunday November 29th, 2015

MORNING

Focus:          Preparing for takeoff… listen to the instructions it could come in handy.  Sometimes there are ‘no do-over’

No ‘Do-Over’…

Going without Jesus is like jumping out of an airplane with a backpack and not a parachute. (A humorous story)… A lawyer, a doctor, a little boy and a priest were all out on a small plane for an afternoon flight when the plane developed engine trouble. In spite of the pilot's best efforts, the plane started to go down. Finally, the pilot yelled out to his passengers that they'd better jump, he grabbed a parachute and bail out. Unfortunately, that left only three remaining parachutes. Grabbing one, the doctor said, "I am a doctor and I save lives, so I must live," and he jumped.
The lawyer then grabbed a parachute and said, "I am the smartest man in the world. I definitely deserve to live." Then he jumped. Looking at the young boy, the priest said, "Son, I have been fortunate to have lived a long and full life. You are young and have your whole life ahead of you. Take the last parachute and live in peace."
Handing the parachute back to the priest, the little boy said, "Don't worry, Father. The smartest man in the world just jumped out with my backpack!"

TEXT:  Now this is the confidence that we have in Him (Jesus) that if we ask anything according to His will. He will hear us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.  From: 1 John 5: 14-15 NKJV

Commentary:  Fame is not what Dwight Moody sought, he sought the Lord and to bring people to Christ…

Think on this:  With a 5th grade education to a shoe-salesman to be a servant of the Most-High… Dwight Moody.

We all know of Moody Institute, Moody Broadcasting and the man who headed up an institution with a 5th Grade education.   We also heard about the man Saul who was chosen and authored a greater portion of the New Testament.

Both but these men had one thing that Moses, Joseph or David did not have, Moody and Paul had the Gospel.  They both experienced the Good News. The Good New… Jesus Died and Rose triumphantly to redeem us from an eternity of separation from God; The Good News also said… The Best is Yet to Come!

Hearing the Good News and rejecting God’s invitation will turn into ‘Bad’ News.  Why? To deny Christ, He said if you do, He will deny you before His Father.  One may say why do I need Christ? God is a merciful God, and He said He loves me… To deny Christ you are making Jesus to be a Liar, because He said no one comes to the Father unless through Him.

Praying to the Lord is the Most-Important Meeting we can have in our daily lives…

All other things we do are secondary, as only our Lord can Divinely prepare us for the day, He can smooth our tasks, inspire us, give us His Blessings, and by His Grace we can cope with all aspects of life’s responsibilities.

His Faithfulness:

PEACE….

PEACE; A state of tranquility that we all desire.  How can we have peace?  The Peace of man is as good as an Ice Cube on Interstate 95 on a Hot-Summer day.

Only from our Lord can we have an Everlasting Peace. Real Peace by anyone on earth is still limited to a finite time.  So we call this a ‘Superficial’ Peace as it can only last till be face that fateful day; but, should we have FAITH in our Lord and accept His Covenant of His Salvation, then we will have Peace here and Peace in a place of Splendor, which will be an Infinite everlasting Peace & Joy, fully sanctified in the presence of our Lord Jesus. What a privilege we have in Him, as Jesus is the same Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow and in Faith we can trust HIM.

Conclusion:

Heaven is a place of Incomprehensible beauty and peace, Let us give thanks in Faith to our Lord Jesus that Paid It All

Prayer:

Heavenly Father in Jesus we come…Lord Jesus we thank You for the Covenant of Your promise that in Your Father’s Kingdom there are many mansions, and where You are we will be. Devotionals for Saturday November 28th, 2015

MORNING

Focus:  Time is the element that cannot be regained, but sometimes what we think was wasted is  in fact a preparation for the future.

Many times working on a project that was later abandoned because of a change of plans and the time spent not counting the cost would be written off. This is when one would say…”If only I could turn back time”

In life we all have experienced the desire to ‘turn-back time’ it is like the computers, sometime it is necessary to do a ‘recovery’ process backing up the systems to a date in the past to reset the registry. Occasionally this is needed as the automatic-updates from the operating system providers change the protocol or it is necessary to reset the routers because of interruptions, Etc.

Our time is like the sands of time… but God’s time is endless, He is without end

 TEXT: Revelation 22:13 [Full Chapter]

I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.

Revelation 1:8

“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.” In Context | Full Chapter |

In life the time spent on the abandoned project sometimes become center-stage.  Our time on earth, the journey of life is also a practice run. As someone said “we are in training” so choose to receive the correct training that when life’s over we will be placed in the right position, and that position is loving our Lord. As in His Kingdom there will be no ‘Ruler’ as we shall abide by our adoration of serving our Eternal God.

You may say, why do I need God? I don’t have him now, and I am just doing fine? Really? Your life is a vapor and the Bible said…

2 Peter 3:3

Above all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. In Context | Full Chapter

James 5:3

Your gold and silver are corroded. Their corrosion will testify against you and eat your flesh like fire. You have hoarded wealth in the last days. In Context | Full Chapter

James 4:14 [Full Chapter]

Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.

Good News:

Coming to the Lord: Lord today as I accept Your Peace, I will not fear what man can do, as You have provided Your Armor…come to Christ and accept Him as He offers His saving Grace, ask Him to forgive you and make you a new creation in Him.

EVENING:

Note: Our place in Heaven is endowed by our Lord Jesus who said… John 14:3 And “if” I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. John 14:2-4 (in Context) John 14 (Whole Chapter)

Devotionals for Friday November 27th, 2015

MORNING

HAPPY THANKSGIVING…

Focus:       In life we should measure twice & cut once. God provided a solution if we made a mistake, and His solution is real….

All that Glitter is not Gold…Measure twice and cut once, look before you leap, Stop Look & Listen

Think on this        : Of all the warning given to us, the best is; the fear of The Lord is the beginning of wisdom.

TEXT:                     Psalm 111:10

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all those who do His commandments. His praise endures forever. In Context | Full Chapter |

Proverbs 9:10

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

In Context | Full Chapter |

Commentary:

Wisdom could be considered more valuable than gold, it is said that the person with the gold makes the ‘golden’ rules. So the rules are from God as all the gold belongs to him, but as we read in Revelation, this precious metal will be used as ‘brick-pavers’ for the street of Heaven.

It is amazing that God trusted us so much that He made us with ‘Free-Will’. God also endowed some of the ‘Poorest’ nation with the most Precious Metal and Gemstones, and the people of these nations continue in poverty because of the exploitation of their resources by fellowmen.   This why we have ‘Blood-Diamond’, ‘Jungle Gold’ and still the greed goes on...

God provided these to be used for Joy and to share among mankind, but as we see Diamonds are used to fuel war and conflicts.

Without God all is lost, the Bible said, when the Gospel is preached in all the land then shall the end comes.

Matthew 24:14

And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.

In Context | Full Chapter |

One of the question that we all have… will those that are dying in the jungle that never heard the gospel be sent to hell?  This is our take on this subject and we invite our readers to submit their comments by email.

We believe of their un-enlightened state never ever hearing about Christ and never rejecting Him, God is merciful and like a new born baby that died, this child will be in God’s Kingdom, why? Not being enlightened. It is when you have heard the Gospel and rejected Christ then there will be eternal damnation.

For as long as you have been around, it is the belief that the text above about when the ‘End’ will come, is subject to every living soul must be reached with the Gospel before The Lord returns… We want to point out that the ‘Gospel’ is the Key Element of this text, and what is the Gospel?  Read on…

The gospel is the good news about what Jesus Christ has done to reconcile sinners to God. Here’s the whole story:

  1. The one and only God, who is holy, made us in his image to know him (Gen. 1:26-28).
  2. But we sinned and cut ourselves off from him (Gen. 3Rom. 3:23).
  3. In his great love, God sent his Son Jesus to come as king and rescue his people from their enemies—most significantly their own sin (Ps. 2Luke 1:67-79).
  4. Jesus established his kingdom by acting as both a mediating priest and a priestly sacrifice—he live a perfect life and died on the cross, thus fulfilling the law himself and taking on himself the punishment for the sins of many (Mark 10:45John 1:14Heb. 7:26Rom. 3:21-265:12-21); then he rose again from the dead, showing that God accepted his sacrifice and that God’s wrath against us had been exhausted (Acts 2:24Rom. 4:25).
  5. He now calls us to repent of our sins and trust in Christ alone for our forgiveness (Acts 17:30John 1:12). If we repent of our sins and trust in Christ, we are born again into a new life, an eternal life with God (John 3:16).

Here is a fine example of Believing and Rejecting Christ…

Why should I believe this when I cannot see what is being said?

There was a man leaving the Church and he was being interviewed, the interviewer asked, Sir, do you believe what you have just heard?  The man said, No, I do not believe a word as I have never seen God, nor anything that the preacher talked about, there was a man standing by, and he said, sir, do you accept that we are surrounded by trees, beautiful flowers and a fountain with the sound of water? The man said, yes, I am looking at them as we speak, the other man said, then you believe they exist? Absolutely, the man then said, I also believe this to be true, but you see… I was born blind, and I cannot see these thing, but I believe they exist.

This is a case of the doubter being ‘Spiritually blind’ for many without Faith are blinded in their mind.

The answer how can we receive His Salvation so that I can be in another place other than the perpetual state of dying?

Jesus came and he Redeemed us from the Condemnation, and though His GRACE, by His Blood of Atonement we have His Invitation to Receive His Grace so that we will be saved by accepting Him as our Redeemer.  He doesn’t want to ‘enslave’ us, He wants to love us and have a relationship with Him, just as when He first created Man, and He wanted us to be His Disciples, to be in Fellowship with Him.

EVENING:

Coming to the Lord:

In God’s Kingdom, there will be no Hierarchy, no ‘super’ Christians.  Because we will all be ‘Sanctified’.

I was speaking with an associate of mine and I asked by the way what model of Lamborghini do you drive, the answer was, “ I have the Avantador, so I said I guess you do not drive this to the supermarket, he said if I do, I have to find a special parking spot.  According to Google ® their ‘driver-less’ cars will become more in use. In summation, all of our achievement are just a little more advanced over the men that were trying to build a tower to heaven (The tower of Babel) the Space station we have in space will come crashing down to earth one day, our moon rover is like looking at Mars through a pin-hole. Remember our Lord Jesus Ascended to heaven by a Divine Levitation, so we acknowledge our limited wisdom, and affirm that…”All things are Possible with God”

Good News -His Faithfulness:

His Promise:

From the day of Creation God provided us with the goodness of His creation and gave us dominion over all living things. Just imagine, the creation of Heaven and Earth were made for Mankind… just think that God in His Infinite Wisdom by His Intelligent design did all this for us. Why” because He loves us... But we betrayed His trust and sin entered the lives of humans, now as descendants of Adam we inherited this blemish called Sin.  But nothing surprises our Majestic God; He provided a way for us to be redeemed by the Blood of Jesus. Jesus, who was with God and the Holy Spirit from the beginning of it all, Jesus was predestined to be our Redeemer.

Conclusion:

His Faithfulness:

God placed us here to enjoy the worship of him and the intimacy of his love for us. This is the big joy that he gave us so forget the short term pitfall disguised as entertainment 2: God named his creation i.e. Light, the expanse Sky, and he separated the darkness from light and the water from dry land.

  • God named it all,
  • The defining focus of God is Love not power
  • God brings order
  • God commanded; us to be fruitful and multiply
  • God blesses His living beings
  • God gave us lordship over all living things and dominion over earth

Principle: Make Jesus preeminent in your life and all things will fall into place…

Prayer: Father we come in Jesus our Redeemer and our Sovereign Eternal God in One of Your Holy Trinity, Lord Jesus in awe we come knowing that all things were created by You as The Father Spoke and You acted in His Holy Spirit. Lord today we come to You seeking Your Divine Blessings and Your guidance, as we say that Your Hands are ‘Over’ us, and not in what we do, as You Lord do not need help, so we place all things in Your Hands and look to You knowing that all things are possible for those who trust in You Lord. Lord Your Unconditional love abounds in what You have created for mankind, Lord today let us be good-stewards of Your mission and bless our Visitors coming to this Website. We pray in Your Precious Name Lord Jesus, to You are the Power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen.

Devotionals for Thursday November 26th, 2015

The Best is Yet to Come! This is when we shall see Him and be with Him forever, we didn’t make this up Jesus said it.

Text:        Philippians 4. 4-9

Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!

Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

MORNING

HAPPY THANKSGIVING… Focus:     Taking the long way home? There’s only one way home where there will be eternal peace filled with God’s Splendor…

We are no longer slaves but His friends, Jesus said this…

Focus: Giving Thanks to our Lord for His Grace and His Providence in our lives. Regardless of any disappointment that we experienced, let’s look at the positive side… You are here to acknowledge our Lord’s Priceless gift, and if you do not know about His Priceless Gift, let us tell you here.

Text: 2 Corinthians 4:8-9

New King James Version (NKJV)

8 We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed—

Commentary:

As we draw near to the end of the year, we may have had a challenging time coping. For many 2015 will be a year that went by so quickly, we must remember that during the entire year our Lord loved us, and He interceded for us to The Father.  At no time did our Lord ever leave us nor forsake us.

What is His Priceless Gift?  The season of Advent marked the Birth of our Lord Jesus, and we must know that Jesus came for one reason.  His coming was to be our Redeemer, and by His redemption we have His ‘Priceless Gift’ of Life-everlasting.

While we were yet sinners Christ died for us...

Everyone needs His Priceless Gift, why, because ‘Life is a Vapor’ and even the ‘scoffers’ need the Lord and His Redemption, Why?  The Bible said… ‘It is appointed unto to man once to die, but after this there is the Judgment, therefore we really never dies, our physical body expires but our Soul lives on. So this being said everyone will be around to receive their ‘just’ rewards.

Our Lord came and Paid-It-All and by His Covenant, His ‘Priceless’ Gift sets us apart when we receive His Gift.

Jesus said… John 14:1-3 New King James Version (NKJV)

The Way, the Truth, and the Life, as told by Jesus…

14 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. 2 In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.

The Bible said… There will be no condemnation to us all who are in Christ Jesus:

Romans 8 New King James Version (NKJV)

Free from Indwelling Sin

8 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.

Principle: Romans 8: 16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.

His Promise / His Faithfulness:

Romans 8: 37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.  38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come,  39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

EVENING:

Action/Coming to our Lord:

Romans 8:29

For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren; In Context | Full Chapter | Other Translations

Conclusion:

Don’t be discouraged about the outlook of the coming year, the press constantly publish a perplexing anxiety driven news, why? Because ‘Bad-News’ sells paper.   Good News will probably sell more papers as people are hungry for good news…  but the human trait will apply the principle of apathy and ignore the Good News as it represent a good ‘status-quo’

The Good News is that Jesus is Sovereign, He is Eternal and He loves us! and above all Jesus died and Rose Triumphantly and conquered death by taking all of our Sins on the Cross.  Yes, He died for our Sins, and he Rose from the tomb, and He Ascended to Heaven and He is on the Throne of Righteousness, and one day he will return.

Are you ready for His return? Today His Grace abounds, and His Salvation is readily available to be received.

So come to Him, and pray… Lord Jesus I am a Sinner, and I repent of my sin by accepting Your ‘Priceless-Gift, Lord Jesus Your Grace I receive and in You I place my trust. Lord direct my path as I seek a closer walk with you my Lord. I Pray in Your Holy Name Lord Jesus, Amen.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father in Jesus our Lord and Savior we come. Lord Jesus thank You for coming and Thank You for Your Divine Redemption; Lord we thank You for our Visitors and the privilege of serving You Lord for Your Glory.  Lord we Praise You and we seek Your divine guidance as we go in Faith knowing that Your Holy Spirt is with us, In Your Holy name we Pray Lord Jesus and to You is the Power and the Glory now and Forevermore… Amen.

Text:  James 5:7 [Be Patient and Persevering] Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain.

Commentary: Faith is intangible to many, but to us in Christ Faith is as Tangible as a Gold Bar and more…

When Jesus sent His disciples He told them to take nothing with them…

Luke 9:3

And He said to them, “Take nothing for the journey, neither staffs nor bag nor bread nor money; and do not have two tunics apiece.

We came into this world with nothing and we will exit with nothing,) Except the Grace of our Lord Jesus for those that know Him).

He let the rain fall, on all... Love Your Enemies

Matthew 5: 43-45 43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’44 But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, 45. That you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.

Conclusion:

The Lord’s blessing to let it rain on the just and the unjust is because He is not partial, and He made no preference, but one preference to all in Unity, as we are all sinners, and by his Grace we are Redeemed. So even the un-redeemed are beneficiary of His showers of Blessings, because they too shall come to know him and be also redeemed.

But His great commission to us to bring the Gospels to all and spread the Good News to the ends of Earth is to be our mission for His Glory.

Principle: Not only do we have his assurance, it is eternal as we lay up treasures in heaven as his faithfulness abounds. Ephesians 2: 8-9 New International Version (NIV)

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.

EVENING: Never a Busy signal… Calling on the Lord, He is Omniscience, Omnipotent and Eternal.

Prayer: Lord Jesus we come knowing that You are on the Throne of Righteousness and no one comes to the Father unless through You. Lord today as we seek your Divine guidance and thank You for our Visitors and we ask Your Providence and above all Your Redemption on us all.  Lord bless this day as we go with the Peace from you knowing that You our Redeemer Lives and we can boldly come to You. Lord in Faith we go with your Assurance. We pray in Your Holy Name Lord Jesus to You are the Power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen.

Devotionals for Tuesday November 24th, 2015

Think on This:  Jesus our Lord who came to redeem us, He came to ‘Serve’ not to be ‘Served’.  Everyone of us want to be ‘Served’... be like Christ, look around as serve others by telling them of the Good News… He is Risen!

MORNING

Focus: Growing up we all had a little box with our favorite things.  As we go older what’s in the box of life? We need God not a box.

As a parent each of my kid had their own little ‘treasure-box’. Today we will focus of Samaritan’s Christmas-Child Shoe Box ministry.

The world is a place of need regardless of where you are at this moment… each of us has a ‘Shoe-Box’ and this is a small space in our hearts.  Heart? Yes because the heart is where we generate emotions, love and feeling with compassion.

We salute Franklin Graham for his magnanimous global outreach for Christ.  To deploy the Shoe-boxes it is like the allied forces coming together to liberate France, but the target is much wide-spread. The ground swells of participant around the world and the individual recipients of the shoe-box filled with toys, hygiene items and a bible are blessed.

Pray that this ministry endowed by Christ and executed in His name will have a safe delivery of the boxes this season to the remotest destinations.

We thank God for people like Franklin and his crews and each participant that assembled a box with the love of Christ, may the Lord continue to bless the Grahams for their worldwide ministries.

We may not need a Box, but we need Christ as only what’s done for him will last.  Let us focus on Thanksgiving by thinking of the less fortunate families around the world and also right here in this land of prosperity as the ‘American-Dream’ has been reshaped with over 50 million receiving Food-Stamp.  We pray for those that are receiving this welfare assistance and even for those that are abusing the system by converting the intended use of Food-Stamp for illicit items. As said… what’s done in secret will be revealed and we hope that those enablers will be revealed.

Good News-Coming to the Lord:

Lord today as I accept Your Peace, I will not fear what man can do, as You have provided Your Armor…

EVENING:

Good News -His Faithfulness:

Philippians 4: 4-7 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Note: Our place in Heaven is endowed by our Lord Jesus who said… John 14:3 And “if” I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. John 14:2-4 (in Context) John 14 (Whole Chapter)

Prayer: Our Father in Heaven in Jesus we come. Thank You Lord Jesus that through You our Savior we are made Joint-Heirs to Your Kingdom. Lord bless this day as  thank You for the Visitors, we go forward in Faith and knowing that all our needs are provided and we give You thanks knowing that Your faithfulness and Your Covenant will never change. Lord Jesus we pray in Your Holy name and to You Jesus our Sovereign God in One of our Father and Creator, to You Lord Jesus is the Power and the Glory, Now and Forevermore… Amen.

Devotionals for Monday November 23rd, 2015

MORNING

Focus: Are you a leader or a follower? All great leaders were in fact followers. Read more…

When it comes to choosing a leader (earthly one) we can think of no other that George S. Patton…

These are some of his quotes:

Never tell people how to do things. Tell them what to do, and they will surprise you with their ingenuity.

War As I Knew It (1947) "Reflections and Suggestions"

There is a great deal of talk about loyalty from the bottom to the top. Loyalty from the top down is even more necessary and much less prevalent. One of the most frequently noted characteristics of great men who have remained great is loyalty to their subordinates.

War As I Knew It (1947); also quoted in Patton's One-Minute Messages: Tactical Leadership Skills for Business Management (1995) by Charles M. Province, p. 88

Patton’s belief in Prayers...

There are three ways that men get what they want; by planning, by working, and by praying. Any great military operation takes careful planning, or thinking. Then you must have well-trained troops to carry it out: that's working. But between the plan and the operation there is always an unknown. That unknown spells defeat or victory, success or failure. It is the reaction of the actors to the ordeal when it actually comes.

It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.

Speech at the Copley Plaza Hotel, Boston, Massachusetts (7 June 1945), quoted in Patton: Ordeal and Triumph (1970) by Ladislas Farago

Thought for today:  Don't ever think that your job is unimportant. Every man has a job to do and he must do it. Every man is a vital link in the great chain.

Think on this…Patton never dug foxholes, My men don't dig foxholes. I don't want them to. Foxholes only slow up an offensive. Keep moving. And don't give the enemy time to dig one either. By Gen. Patton

Don't fight a battle if you don't gain anything by winning.

Patton’s prayer request…Almighty and most merciful Father, we humbly beseech Thee, of Thy great goodness, to restrain these immoderate rains with which we have had to contend. Grant us fair weather for Battle. Graciously hearken to us as soldiers who call upon Thee that, armed with Thy power, we may advance from victory to victory, and crush the oppression and wickedness of our enemies and establish Thy justice among men and nations.

Though Patton commissioned this prayer and ordered 250,000 copies of it printed with his signature, it was actually composed by Chief Chaplain James H. O'Neill Review of the News (6 October 1971)

Fail to honor people, They fail to honor you; But of a good leader, who talks little, When his work is done, his aims fulfilled, They will all say, We did this ourselves.

This is actually a translation of a statement by Lao Zi from the Tao Te Ching (Daodejing). Patton may have used a similar or identical expression, perhaps quoting the book.

Our answer to all great leaders were in fact followers…Patton had his leader too, he was very focused but he always came back to Giving God the Glory…George S. Patton:

“Some people call that getting the breaks; I call it God. God has His part, or margin in everything. That's where prayer comes in”. George S. Patton.

Good News: The fight is already been won by Christ Jesus… Jeremiah 29:11

Devotionals for Sunday November 22nd, 2015

MORNING

Focus: Are you standing at the threshold of God’s House today or on a ‘slippery-slope’, get a firm footing by walking with Him

Think on this        :  Jesus is not the new kid on the block, He came as a man so that we ‘mere-humans’ could know Him

Count on This      :  Earth’s is ruled by Law & order, God’s Kingdom will not be ruled but there will be Order because of His Love

TEXT:  Matthew 21:13 And He said to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a ‘den of thieves.’ In Context | Full Chapter |

Commentary:   What if Jesus had come as a King, born in a palace, rode in a golden chariot, had king’s men and wore a Purple robe with a Golden crown studded with gemstones, could He have had a normal relationship with the 12 ordinary guys He found along the way? Intangible but 100% believable- Jesus revealed that He was with the Father before he came to earth…

Getting near to a king is not easy, so a king do not have daily contact with commoners.  A king could have a relationship, but not a ‘normal’ relationship, as when He called Matthew who was at his Tax-collection station, Matthew would have ran to him and bowed and said…Yes your majesty, here I am to serve you, yet Matthew did the same by walking away from his post and followed Jesus because he saw the wonderful things that Jesus said and did.

Jesus was able to reach many because of His Unconditional love, His ability to know what they were thinking and He had no reservation of expressing His thoughts.  As we see in the three years of Jesus’ ministry His mission was to tell us of His Kingdom and how to get there.

Above all He made a way for us to get to His Kingdom… He displayed ‘Righteous-Anger’ as He could not tolerate the use of the Temple by the money-changers and the selling of merchandise in the House of God. He did what we would probably not do, He overturned the tables and drove them out by saying… Matthew 21:13 And He said to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a ‘den of thieves.”

Notice the scripture said…He said “My house” and on this note we want to say that the entire Bible is about Jesus who is not the ‘Third-Party’ bystander, in all events of the Lord’s undertaking it is referring to Jesus, Yes… He was walking with Adam in the cool and talking with Adam.  He was wrestling with Jacob, and he was with David when Goliath was killed.

Jesus said…”Before Abraham was I was” so believe this and believe what He said, John 8:58 Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.” In Context | Full Chapter |

Jesus said…

Matthew 24:30  Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. In Context | Full Chapter |

 Mark 13:26

Then they will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. In Context | Full Chapter |

Coming to the Lord: Now that we know that Jesus is Supreme and preeminent we should come to Him, knowing that He came for one reason, and this ‘One-Reason’ was to redeem us.

What is the Day of the Lord? This is the day when His Grace ends, what do we mean by this? Before answering this, let’s first look at the meaning of Grace; a: unmerited divine assistance given humans for their regeneration or sanctification

b: a virtue coming from God, c: a state of sanctification enjoyed through divine grace. (From the Merriam-Webster)

We see that His Grace is undeserved by us, why do we need His Grace? Because we are all sinners. Why am I called a sinner? Because we are all descendants of Adam, and when Adam & Eve sinned, God evicted them from the Garden of Eden. But God made a way for us to be Redeemed by His Son, Jesus (Read more about the supremacy of Jesus in John 1, Hebrews 1 & Ephesians 1), as He is God in One of our Father) Now His Grace granted to allow us to receive Him exists at this time, but the expiration date will be by one of two means.  One way if you die before accepting Him, and secondly, when He Returns which is known as the Day of The Lord.

2 Peter 3:10  [The Day of the Lord]

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.

2 Peter 3:9-11 (in Context) 2 Peter 3 (Whole Chapter)

In the last days…We read today from the writing of the Apostle Peter, who was considered an authoritative follower of Christ.  Peter’s first letter was written around 60 to 64 AD His second letter known as 2nd Peter was written between 65 and 68 AD.   He was martyred during the reign of Nero.  Peter had the zeal to bring the teaching of living for Christ, in 2 Peter 1: 3, he was making a calling to be aware of:

Verse 3:  “His divine Power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of Him (Jesus Christ) who called us by His own glory and goodness”.

EVENING: We are part of his master plan John 1: 12

John 1:12

New American Standard Bible (NASB)

12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name,

Conclusion: Principle God knows us by a name before the before we were born, but this common name was changed to “Redeemed’ and because of His Redemption by His Blood of Atonement, we are now Joint Heirs to His Kingdom. What a Privilege! as the Scriptures said…

Romans 8: 1-4

New American Standard Bible (NASB) Deliverance from Bondage

Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, so that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

Prayer:

Father we come in Jesus our Redeemer and our Sovereign Eternal God in One of Your Holy Trinity, Lord Jesus in awe we come knowing that all things were created by You as The Father Spoke and You acted in His Holy Spirit. Lord today we come to You seeking Your Divine Blessings and Your guidance, as we say that Your Hands are ‘Over’ us, and not just in what we do, as You Lord do not need help, so we place all things in Your Hands and look to you knowing that all things are possible for those who trust in You Lord. Lord Your Unconditional love abounds in what you have created for mankind, Lord today let us be good-stewards of Your mission and bless our Visitors coming to this Website. We pray in Your Precious Name Lord Jesus, to You are the Power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen.

Devotionals for Saturday November 21th, 2015

MORNING

Focus: What is the most important thing we have on our agenda for today? Ask the Lord if it is a part of His plan, if it is then ‘do it’…

One of the most important thing we should all have on our agenda… follow the instruction from the Almighty;

Be still and know that He is God!

Psalm 46:9-11 New International Version (NIV)

9 He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth.

He breaks the bow and shatters the spear; he burns the shields[a] with fire.

10 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;

I will be exalted among the nations,

I will be exalted in the earth.”

11 The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.

The current events of global uneasiness caused by terrorist bombing, the killing of Christians and other human conflicts, these are news headline for many of us, but it is ground zero for many.

The Bible chronicled many wars and conflicts, so what’s new? If we could switch channels and look back at the period when Elijah faced the pursuit of the Syrian army…

2 Kings 6: 13-18 (The Syrian king ordered)

13 “Go, find out where he is,” the king ordered, “so I can send men and capture him.” The report came back: “He is in Dothan.” 14 Then he sent horses and chariots and a strong force there. They went by night and surrounded the city.

15 When the servant of the man of God got up and went out early the next morning, an army with horses and chariots had surrounded the city. “Oh no, my lord! What shall we do?” the servant asked.

16 “Don’t be afraid,” the prophet answered. “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”

17 And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, Lord, so that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

18 As the enemy came down toward him, Elisha prayed to the Lord, “Strike this army with blindness.” So he struck them with blindness, as Elisha had asked.

We have the assurance of our Lord… all we have to do is follow His instructions. Moses did it and he led the Israelite across the Red-Sea.

Exodus 14:14-16 New International Version (NIV)

14 The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”

15 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelites to move on. 16 Raise your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea to divide the water so that the Israelites can go through the sea on dry ground.

Be aware that today the Lord is still doing what He did…

For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their prayers; But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”  1 Peter 3:12 In Context | Full Chapter |

Focus:    While the Text above said... the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, we also must mention that the Bible also said…                Romans 3:10 As it is written: “There is none righteous, no, not one; In Context | Full Chapter |

But the over-riding fact is while we are all classified and ‘Non-Righteous’ it is only by the Grace of our Lord and by His Righteousness we are able to come to the Father. And our access to our Almighty God is through our Sole-Mediator Jesus our Redeemer, as He presented to The Father.

Knowing that there are no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus…

Romans 8: Free from Indwelling Sin

8: 1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. Devotionals for Friday November 20th, 2015

MORNING

Focus:  Give a gift that keeps on giving… leaving a legacy means nothing unless it is given from the heart and endowed by Grace.

Can you recall what you gave to your kids, friends of associates a year ago?  Or what you received from any of them? Maybe, but the gift may just about be ready to be replaced as its usefulness will expire.

Legacy is an inheritance, a gift that is from a bequest that would be endowed to the beneficiary such as your children or to a charitable organization.  The vanity of man often leads to an endowment in a foundation that will bear the name of the founder… Sometimes it is more than vanity and may be a ‘giving-back’ to society what the grantor may have gained though the exploitation of a patent, a product or a business enterprise.

Like the grantor of the Nobel Prize ‘Nobel” Alfred Bernhard Nobel was an inventor who made a tidy fortune in dynamite and other chemicals. When he died at 63 in 1896, the childless bachelor left behind a hand-scrawled will leaving most of his estate to a new foundation that would reward scientific and cultural achievement.

The Nobel fund generates the Prize-Money from the investment of the original endowment of $0.6 Billion and the annual awards are from the yield earned from the invested capital that they seek an average return on investment of about 3.5% per year.

While the Nobel Fund is an ‘earthly-endowment’ this will be useless in the world to come. Only what’s done by Christ and for Christ will last. And His Priceless-Gift will be the only ‘Everlasting-Gift’.  And this gift is Priceless and cannot be bought with earthly money, nor can we earn it, steal it, take it nor inherit it.  It is only by ‘Grace’ that we can receive it, ‘Grace’  because we could never be good enough to receive it, and therefore, it is not because we deserve it nor we have done enough good to get it, it is offered freely once we Ask…

The criterion of becoming a beneficiary of the Priceless-Gift are:

1 John 5:3-4 New International Version (NIV)

3 In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, 4 for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.

Ephesians 1:7 New International Version (NIV)

7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace

Romans 8:38-39 New International Version (NIV)

38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, [a] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

TEXT: Romans 8: 31-39

More Than Conquerors

31 What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?33 Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34 Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36 As it is written:

“For your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”

37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. ...

EVENING:

Note: Our place in Heaven is endowed by our Lord Jesus who said… John 14:3 And “if” I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. John 14:2-4 (in Context) John 14 (Whole Chapter)

Jesus said 'If" but He went, and His saying of 'If' is directed to each of us, as He was going and would only prepare a place for those that have accepted Him, so as he said… John 3:3 Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.” In Context | Full Chapter

Conclusion:  Come to Christ today, Pray… Lord Jesus I come and I accept Your Grace of Salvation and I repent of my sin and I turn to you Lord, come into my heart and make me a new creation, I pray in Your Holy name Lord Jesus… Amen.

Devotionals for Thursday November 19th, 2015

MORNING

Focus:    A story worth repeating, the love of the father and the arrogance of the son. But there is a ‘Son’ that endured all for His Father

Jesus told about the Prodigal Son:

Luke 15:11-32New International Version (NIV)

The Parable of the Lost Son

11 Jesus continued: “There was a man who had two sons. 12 The younger one said to his father, ‘Father, give me my share of the estate.’ So he divided his property between them.

13 “Not long after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth in wild living. 14 After he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in that whole country, and he began to be in need. 15 So he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country, who sent him to his fields to feed pigs. 16 He longed to fill his stomach with the pods that the pigs were eating, but no one gave him anything.

17 “When he came to his senses, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have food to spare, and here I am starving to death! 18 I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. 19 I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired servants.’ 20 So he got up and went to his father.

“But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.

21 “The son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’

22 “But the father said to his servants, ‘Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. 23 Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let’s have a feast and celebrate. 24 For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ So they began to celebrate.

25 “Meanwhile, the older son was in the field. When he came near the house, he heard music and dancing. 26 So he called one of the servants and asked him what was going on. 27 ‘Your brother has come,’ he replied, ‘and your father has killed the fattened calf because he has him back safe and sound.’

28 “The older brother became angry and refused to go in. So his father went out and pleaded with him. 29 But he answered his father, ‘Look! All these years I’ve been slaving for you and never disobeyed your orders. Yet you never gave me even a young goat so I could celebrate with my friends. 30 But when this son of yours who has squandered your property with prostitutes comes home, you kill the fattened calf for him!’

31 “My son,’ the father said, ‘you are always with me, and everything I have is yours. 32 But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’”

Commentary:  The Lost brother that came home repented and sought the Father’s forgiveness, and he was well received and his father embraced him… yet we see the other brother who was ‘loyal’ and never did anything to seek his lost brother, but kept his duties, what do we have here? We have a son that was keeping pace of doing his duties and probably waiting to inherit the entire estate. The ‘loyal’ son lacked the compassion, he valued his future inheritance more than his brother. And even when his brother returned he spurned him and never welcomed him home. The final analysis he was more concerned for his share of the estate that may now be compromised by the return of his lost brother.

Good News:

There is a Son that endure forever…  Jesus gave His life for us, and His share of the Kingdom, because all are His. He went to the Cross and paid for our sins, and when we return to Him and repent, He gives us a part of the Kingdom.

We are just like the Prodigal son… because Adam received his inheritance which was the ultimate estate, the ‘Garden of Eden’ it was squandered by going against what God commanded. But Christ came and as we go to Him, we are received with a welcome arm, just as the father who welcomed his lost son.

The ‘Loyal’ son is a parallel to those that are listening to the so-called prosperity doctrine living a ritualistically life as a form of a spiritual walk with Christ; which means their fellowship is with a motive, and not because of their love and adoration for the Lord.

No one will ever be ‘forced’ to worship the Lord… the Bible said every knee will bow and every tongue will confess, this is directed to scoffer and the wayward ones, but our praises should be founded on our ‘Love’ for Him.

So just abiding time doing our duties ritualistically and not founded on true-compassion, we are just like the son that stayed waiting to inherit the entire estate.

Coming to the Lord:

Lord today as we accept Your forgiveness as we are all ‘Prodigal-sons and daughters. Thank You Lord for being there to welcome us home, we receive Your Grace and Your love, we will not fear what man can do, as You have provided Your Armor…

Devotionals for Wednesday November 18th, 2015

MORNING

Focus:    Losing all and yet be the richest among your peers… Real wealth stays with God’s people and it can never be lost.

We wrote about a few riches to rags stories a few months ago… but we want to look at those that chose the path less travelled and remained modest but yet they are among the richest in the end.

Ill-begotten wealth will soon be lost…

Proverbs 10:2 New International Version (NIV) 2 Ill-gotten treasures have no lasting value,     but righteousness delivers from death.

From wealth to poverty… or from Rags to Riches… which would you prefer?

Good News for today: Acts 13:32 Good News Translation (GNT)

32-33 And we are here to bring the Good News to you: what God promised our ancestors he would do, he has now done for us, who are their descendants, by raising Jesus to life. As it is written in the second Psalm,

‘You are my Son; today I have become your Father.’   Good News Translation (GNT) Copyright © 1992 by American Bible Society

TEXT:     2 Corinthians 8:9

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich. In Context | Full Chapter |

Commentary: From rags to riches is a story told of many within our society who are considered ‘affluent’ and on the contrary there are some that went from wealth to poverty.

There is a brother in Christ that we know in the ‘Rags to riches’ category, and he once told us that there were days when the pantry was bare and there was nothing to eat, but they never lost faith.  One day they discovered that their family homestead was sitting atop the richest vein of ‘low-sulfur’ Coal.  They went from being utterly poor to a Million dollars a month in income. This is a person that never let the money change him or his faith in Christ.

On the other hand we know of a person that was so well known, his name was on rental vehicles all over the United States, the writer of this commentary had the experience of dealing with this well-known man of wealth, and had a very unpleasant experience of his arrogance. Years later there was another face-to-face meeting with this once wealthy (among the top 500) now utterly broke he wanted to sell a note that he owned but in fact he did not own the note as he withheld it from the declaration of his assets when he declared bankruptcy.  To have made an offer to sell this note, it was a fraudulent act, which he was so told. Here we see two men once of faith and one of fate.  The latter was a man well-known for his lavish lifestyle, who was now a destitute broken man.

Our Lord Jesus came from a place of untold wealth, a place where gold is used as Street-Pavers, yet He was born in a Stable, laid in a feeding trough (A  Manger) and his first visitors were ‘Shepherds’  (Shepherds were not allowed to enter the Temple) And we see in many instances where ‘Shepherds’ are given a high place of honor, such as the Shepherd boy David who became a King, Amos the prophet a shepherd,  Moses went from living in the Pharaoh’s palace to being a shepherd of sheep and later as the shepherd of two million people leaving Egypt for the Promised Land.

Devotional:

Jesus was not just our Shepherd He is the Unblemished Lamb of God… So today Lord Jesus we praise You and thank You for Your Unconditional love for us.

EVENING:

As we journey through this life, with a life-span of 70-80-90 or even a hundred years old…we needs to stop and Know that He is God; as the bible said; what is Man? That You are mindful of him?  Alexander the Great (356-323 BC) who conquered the Persian Empire, into Egypt and India, died at age 33, at his death he requested that his hands were not to be wrapped and they were to be visible showing that his hands were “Empty” a bold statement while he gained much in life, but in death he could not take anything with him. Let us be mindful of this…

Hebrews 2:6
But there is a place where someone has testified: “What is mankind that you are mindful of them, a son of man that you care for him? Hebrews 2:5-7 (in Context) Hebrews 2 (Whole Chapter)

His warning…

  1. John 8:44
You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies,

  1. Isaiah 1:24 New International Version (NIV)

24 Therefore the Lord, the Lord Almighty,     the Mighty One of Israel, declares:
“Ah! I will vent my wrath on my foes
and avenge myself on my enemies.

Conclusion

Invitation:

Romans 8:11 New International Version (NIV)

11 And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.

His Assurance:

Romans 5:11 New International Version (NIV)

11 Not only is this so, but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.

Matthew 26: 41 NIV

Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

Prayer: Heavenly Father in Jesus our Lord and Savior we come…Lord Jesus we come to You knowing that You are on the Throne of Righteousness and You intercedes for us, Lord, thank You for the many Visitors, fill us all with Your Holy Spirit and direct our pathways as we seek to be led by Your divine guidance as the Author and Finisher of our Faith.  And by Faith we come and accept You Lord knowing that all things work for good to those that love You, and in acknowledgement of Your Word, that You will never leave us nor forsake us, Lord we give You the Praise and to you Lord Jesus is the Power and the Glory, now and forevermore… Amen.

Devotionals for Tuesday November 17th, 2015

MORNING

Focus:      Do you have any fair weather friends? Turn them into all-season friends, because you have a ‘true’ friend for all seasons.

Over the years we have met many that are ‘true’ friends, and occasionally we meet someone that is in an opportunistic relationship and not truly a friend.  The age-old saying…’a friend sticks closer than a brother’

Proverbs 18:24 NIV: One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother

These are a few quotes from a wealthy man that left his mark on affluence and his empire is still flourishing… John D. Rockefeller. (1839-1937)

A friendship founded on business is better than a business founded on friendship. John D. Rockefeller

There is nothing in this world that can compare with the Christian fellowship; nothing that can satisfy but Christ. John D. Rockefeller, and he also said…

This Sunday School has been of help to me, greater perhaps than any other force in my Christian life, and I can ask no better things for you than that you, and all that shall come after you in this great band of workers for Christ, shall receive the same measure of blessedness which I have been permitted to have. John D. Rockefeller

We applied these quotes from a man that the world thought of as just a wealthy tycoon… His index of beneficiaries was heavily weighted in favor of Missionary, Churches, Ministers, Education and Welfare.

Many of us can undoubtedly state that we have a Friend indeed that is for ‘All-Seasons’ and He is eternal, and He is the Lord Jesus who said…”I will never leave you nor forsake you”.

No one can ‘Out-Give’ our Lord… Jesus has given us  the ‘Priceless’ gift of everlasting life, which He paid for by dying on the cross, and through His divine Resurrection we are saved by His Grace.

Good News-Coming to the Lord:

Ephesians 2:8-9 New International Version (NIV) For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.

Lord today as I accept Your Peace, I will not fear what man can do, as You have provided Your Armor…

Ephesians 6:10-18 [Full Chapter] [The Whole Armor of God]

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. ...

EVENING: Note: Our place in Heaven is endowed by our Lord Jesus who said… John 14:3 (NIV)

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.

Prayer: Our Father in Heaven in Jesus we come. Thank You Lord Jesus that through You our Savior we are made Joint-Heirs to Your Kingdom. Devotionals for Monday November 16th, 2015

MORNING

Focus:  Enough ‘Bad-News’ already… Is the world turning into a battle-zone? The world yes, but you are safe. You are set apart. For believers and those in Christ, they all are ‘saved’.

The headlines are actually ‘Rebroadcast’ of what is already written in the ‘Book’…

Ecclesiastes 1:9

What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun. In Context | Full Chapter

In the famous film Casablanca (1942) Bogart said… We'll always have Paris. The recent attacks on the City of Light have turned it into a city of mourning.

We pray for the victims of this vicious attack on humanity.

Paris was called the City of Light because it was the center of education and many academic enlightenment during the period of 1928. Paris gained this nickname as they lighted up the Champs-Elysées.

Often times many will adopt the mistake of thinking ‘kindness’ is weakness… America experienced this until the ‘sleeping-giant’ was awaken one Sunday morning in Pearl-Harbor. The Japanese Admiral said… "I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve."

So as Ecclesiastes said… What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun.

So are we looking at a mosquito stinging elephants?  Maybe the old adage of, you can run but you can’t hide will be applied here.  So as the Egyptians were pursuing the Israelites going across the Red-Sea, just before the sea rushed back to drown the army of Pharaoh, God jammed their chariot wheels, and this gave them a moment to say…

Exodus 14: 23 The Egyptians pursued them, and all Pharaoh’s horses and chariots and horsemen followed them into the sea. 24 During the last watch of the night the Lord looked down from the pillar of fire and cloud at the Egyptian army and threw it into confusion.  25 He jammed[b] the wheels of their chariots so that they had difficulty driving. And the Egyptians said, “Let’s get away from the Israelites! The  Lord is fighting for them against Egypt.”

Maybe in that moment of realizing that God had a hand in protecting His People, we hope that those that are waking up ‘Sleeping-Giants’ will also have a moment to realize the mighty hands of God and also come to know Him.

Matthew 10:28  Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. In Context | Full Chapter

Devotionals for Sunday November 15th, 2015

Focus:     Thank The Lord for this day… You are here and He has given us His best… Thank Him and tell others of the love of Christ.

Theme:  By one man Sin entered the world, our Creator was not surprised by Adam & Eve of their falling for the serpent’s temptation.  Why did He come to Redeem us?

Genesis 2: 15 The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. 16 And the Lord God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; 17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.”

This is the reason why He came to Redeem us… Because He said “you will certainly die”, He came and reconciled us to himself.

2 Corinthians 5:18-19 New International Version (NIV)

18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.

Text:      Romans 5:12  Death Through Adam, Life Through Christ ] Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned— Romans 5:11-13 (in Context) Romans 5 (Whole Chapter)

Commentary

We who are believers need to do our part as the commission of our Lord was to proclaim His message of this Good News that He Rose Triumphantly and HE is alive on the Throne of Righteousness and He is waiting to receive those that come to Him for His Redemption.

There’s so much to tell, as we recite the key things we all need to know:

  1. God Created the Heaven and the Earth
  2. God Created us in His Likeness
  3. Because we are Created in the Likeness of God, we too shall live forever.
  4. Jesus is the Son of God and He is Supreme and was there from the beginning of it all
  5. Because we are descendants of Adam, we are all born into Sin.
  6. The Good News is: God Sent His Son Jesus to Redeem us
  7. Jesus Paid It All by His Blood of Atonement.
  8. The Grace of our Lord is extended to us all, and right now is the time of Acceptance
  9. If we accept our Lord Jesus and repent of our Sin, He will Redeem us by His Blood as a Seal and as a Down/Payment for our Redemption that we will be with our Lord in a Place of Splendor forever.
  10. We also need to let it be known; that while our Lord is a Lord of Love, A Gracious Redeemer and a Patient God, He is also a God of Consuming Fire…
  11. Our Lord said that when we are saved by His Grace we will never be lost, but we must know Him and have a close walk with our Lord; as He will meet all our needs and He will never leave us nor forsake us.

Hebrews 2:6 But there is a place where someone has testified: “What is mankind that you are mindful of them, a son of man that you care for him? Hebrews 2:5-7 (in Context) Hebrews 2 (Whole Chapter)

Colossians 1: 15-20 NIV The Supremacy of the Son of God

15 The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.16 For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. 17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18 And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. 19 For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, 20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.

EVENING: Conclusion:

Invitation: We can come to our Lord Jesus right where we are and he will receive us, and we can have His assurance that we will be saved by His Blood

Prayer: Lord Jesus we come to You knowing that You are on the Throne of Righteousness and You intercedes for us, Lord, be with our Visitors and fill us with Your Holy Spirit, direct our pathways as we seek to be led by Your divine guidance as the Author and Finisher of our Faith.  And by Faith we come and accept You Lord knowi9ng that all things work for good to those that love You, and in acknowledgement of Your Word, that You will never leave us nor forsake us, Lord we give You the Praise and to You Lord Jesus is the Power and the Glory, now and forevermore… Amen.

Devotionals for Saturday November 14th, 2015

Focus: Jesus said…” Today you will be with me in Paradise”…we can only imagine. It will not be a theme park it will be His Tabernacle

Yesterday we wrote about the Great ‘Coronation’ of the King of kings and this is King Jesus seated on the throne surrounded by millions times millions with white robes.

We can all remember going to a theme park and the traffic was backed up for miles. Getting there was enough of a drudgery and after spending the day then leaving to once more join the line leaving the park.  Just thinking of crawling along in traffic at five miles per hour and most times at standstill to park and then get on a loaded tram. Think about the route to God’s Kingdom is via a beam or rather a ‘streak’ that is faster than light, it is as fast as the blinking of any eye.

Have you ever looked up in the sky, and in that clear blue-yonder among the clouds you imagine that you saw a white dot? Just as you blinked? Is this our imagination or it is quantum-physics?

Today we continue the scene at the ‘Post-Coronation’ event, where the scrolls were opened…

Revelation 7:

The Great Multitude in White Robes

After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. 10 And they cried out in a loud voice:

“Salvation belongs to our God,
who sits on the throne,
and to the Lamb.”

11 All the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures. They fell down on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, 12 saying:

“Amen!
Praise and glory
and wisdom and thanks and honor
and power and strength
be to our God for ever and ever.
Amen!”

13 Then one of the elders asked me, “These in white robes—who are they, and where did they come from?”

14 I answered, “Sir, you know.”

And he said, “These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.15 Therefore,

Revelation 21 New International Version (NIV)

A New Heaven and a New Earth

21 Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” [a] for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.

‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”

He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children.

Revelation 22: Epilogue: Invitation and Warning

12 “Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.

14 “Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city. 15 Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.

16 “I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you[a] this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.”

17 The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.

18 I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to that person the plagues described in this scroll. 19 And if anyone takes words away from this scroll of prophecy, God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll.

20 He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.”

Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.

21 The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s people. Amen.

Devotionals for Friday November 13th, 2015

Focus: Will we need an interpreter in Heaven? Tell us what you think, we say no, because in Christ we will all be transformed…

There are 6,909 distinct languages in the world today.  The United Nation (UN) has 193 member nations, representing populations around the world that speak hundreds of different languages. However, the U.N. has only six official languages: Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish.

TEXT: Revelation 5: 11-14

11 Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand. They encircled the throne and the living creatures and the elders. 12 In a loud voice they were saying:

“Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain,
to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength
and honor and glory and praise!”

13 Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying:

“To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb
be praise and honor and glory and power,
for ever and ever!”

14 The four living creatures said, “Amen,” and the elders fell down and worshiped.

We just read about the ‘Coronation’ of the Almighty on the throne surrounded by thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand, yet the message was unified as they all said…

“Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain,
to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength
and honor and glory and praise!”

The above is the gathering of all whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life…

Today we can rejoice that your name and ours are written in heaven. Jesus said this…

Luke 10: 20-24

20 However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”

21 At that time Jesus, full of joy through the Holy Spirit, said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this is what you were pleased to do.

22 “All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows who the Son is except the Father, and no one knows who the Father is except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.”

23 Then he turned to his disciples and said privately, “Blessed are the eyes that see what you see. 24 For I tell you that many prophets and kings wanted to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.”

Come to Christ today, you do not have to know everything… The Revelation of His Kingdom will be filled with thousands times thousands (Billions) of His Worshippers, but yet all will be in a Joyful gathering with our Lord and Savior as He continues to hold all things together.

You may say where will be the billions of White-Robes be from, will there be a factory in China making these? For the scoffers they may ask this, just as they would question the feeding of the five-thousands.  For those that question the Divine powers of the Almighty, they need to search their origin and the find the ‘miracle’ of God’s creation, as this same person will have his breakfast, his lunch or his dinner consuming only what God has made.  So in questioning the Divine powers of God, this person should not consume anything made by God, This will be impossible as nothing here is man-made.

The clothes we wear may be made with synthetic material but the origin is still from the elements created by our Creator, Plastic is from Petroleum, we haven’t yet made any, God made plants that produce lubricants like ‘Whale-Oil’. The water we drink is from the Creator, etc.  Therefore we must repeat what a child in Bible Study Fellowship (BSF®) said, “Only God could write a book like the Bible”.

Come to Christ today with the faith of a Child, Jesus said this…

 Matthew 18:3

And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. In Context | Full Chapter |

Devotionals for Thursday November 12th, 2015

Focus:  What is the best time you can recall in your life? If it was good guess what? You will relive this because He said so…

The best time of yours and our lifetimes is the day when we came to the Lord… and as Job said; "As for me, I know that my Redeemer lives, And at the last He will take His stand on the earth. Job 19: 25 New American Standard Bible

The book of Job written by an unknown author depicts the life of a man that the Bible declared as…

In the land of Uz there lived a man whose name was Job. This man was blameless and upright; he feared God and shunned evil. Job 1:1 New International Version (NIV)

The faithfulness of Job troubled the devil so the devil told God that Job’s love for God was only because Job enjoyed the protection and benefits he received from God.

Job 1New International Version (NIV) Job 1: 6-2

One day the angels came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came with them. The Lord said to Satan, “Where have you come from?”

Satan answered the Lord, “From roaming throughout the earth, going back and forth on it.”

Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil.”

“Does Job fear God for nothing?” Satan replied. 10 “Have you not put a hedge around him and his household and everything he has? You have blessed the work of his hands, so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land. 11 But now stretch out your hand and strike everything he has, and he will surely curse you to your face.”

12 The Lord said to Satan, “Very well, then, everything he has is in your power, but on the man himself do not lay a finger.”

Then Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.

13 One day when Job’s sons and daughters were feasting and drinking wine at the oldest brother’s house, 14 a messenger came to Job and said, “The oxen were plowing and the donkeys were grazing nearby, 15 and the Sabeans attacked and made off with them. They put the servants to the sword, and I am the only one who has escaped to tell you!”

16 While he was still speaking, another messenger came and said, “The fire of God fell from the heavens and burned up the sheep and the servants, and I am the only one who has escaped to tell you!”

17 While he was still speaking, another messenger came and said, “The Chaldeans formed three raiding parties and swept down on your camels and made off with them. They put the servants to the sword, and I am the only one who has escaped to tell you!”

18 While he was still speaking, yet another messenger came and said, “Your sons and daughters were feasting and drinking wine at the oldest brother’s house, 19 when suddenly a mighty wind swept in from the desert and struck the four corners of the house. It collapsed on them and they are dead, and I am the only one who has escaped to tell you!”

20 At this, Job got up and tore his robe and shaved his head. Then he fell to the ground in worship 21 and said:

“Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will depart. [c]The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised.”

22 In all this, Job did not sin by charging God with wrongdoing.

(The chapters between the above will fill-in the dialogue of Job and his friends, and Job’s discourse) to the Epilogue below

Epilogue- Job 42

After the Lord had said these things to Job, he said to Eliphaz the Temanite, “I am angry with you and your two friends, because you have not spoken the truth about me, as my servant Job has. So now take seven bulls and seven rams and go to my servant Job and sacrifice a burnt offering for yourselves. My servant Job will pray for you, and I will accept his prayer and not deal with you according to your folly. You have not spoken the truth about me, as my servant Job has.” So Eliphaz the Temanite, Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite did what the Lord told them; and the Lord accepted Job’s prayer.

10 After Job had prayed for his friends, the Lord restored his fortunes and gave him twice as much as he had before. 11 All his brothers and sisters and everyone who had known him before came and ate with him in his house. They comforted and consoled him over all the trouble the Lord had brought on him, and each one gave him a piece of silver[a] and a gold ring.

12 The Lord blessed the latter part of Job’s life more than the former part. He had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, a thousand yoke of oxen and a thousand donkeys. 13 And he also had seven sons and three daughters.14 The first daughter he named Jemimah, the second Keziah and the third Keren-Happuch. 15 Nowhere in all the land were there found women as beautiful as Job’s daughters, and their father granted them an inheritance along with their brothers.

16 After this, Job lived a hundred and forty years; he saw his children and their children to the fourth generation. 17 And so Job died, an old man and full of years.

Good News:

We see that Job re-lived the best moments of his life….  And we too shall have that restored moments that will be eternal.

Coming to the Lord:

Lord today as I accept Your Peace, I will not fear what man can do, as You have provided Your Armor…

Prayer:  Heavenly Father in Jesus Your Son and our Lord and Savior, we can say for we know that our Redeemer lives… Lord Jesus knowing that You have said… I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown”, Lord we give You our Praises and we go in faith as we ask Your blessings on our Visitors and we thank You for Your Divine Grace and knowing that on that day we shall see You as You are. Devotionals for Wednesday November 11th, 2015

Morning…

Focus:   Imagine a worry-free life, could this be true? Jesus said yes, but He said we would have some problem… Why?

“The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9 NIV

Our Faith, our Walk and His warning….

Text:      1 John 4:8-9

New International Version (NIV)

Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.

Commentary:

God in His infinite power of Light & Love, He did revealed His love for us in the Divine Gift of His Son.

In Jesus Christ God came to us in the fullness of His Grace,  He came that we might receive His pardon by His Atonement for our sins, and save us from everlasting destruction.

One might say, how do we have the authority of making this statement of Everlasting Destruction?  Because we are simply repeating the Word of God, as He said we are Created in His Likeness, and He also said that it is appointed unto man to die and after that there is a Judgment… God is never wrong, and these two statements affirmed that we will live forever.

The Love of God found its fullest expression in the Cross, where the Lord Jesus bore the judgment for our sins, meaning that he stood in our place, and by His Crucifixion, He paid It All, and by His Blood of Atonement, we are able to receive His SEAL of Salvation.

Philippians 4: 6 (The Amplified New Testament)

Verse 6: Do not fret o have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything by prayer and petition (a defined request) with thanksgiving continue to make your wants known to God.

Notice the key words are:

  • Do not fret
  • Every circumstance
  • By Prayer & Petition
  • With Thanksgiving
  • Continue your request to God

Give thanks to our Faithful Lord and Savior as He provides all our needs… as stated in: Philippians 4:19 New International Version (NIV)

19 And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.

Good News:

Devotionals for Tuesday November 10th, 2015

Focus: The Lord created us, He nurtured us, He brought you here today and He is calling you to hold on to Him

Your Name is known to Him, and he has a place for you, but you have to claim it in Jesus’ name

TEXT:     John 15:5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. In Context | Full Chapter |

Thoughts for the day:  Jesus’ assignment was accomplished to perfection for our sake…

Focus:    Know the Lord for who He is and not for what you can gain through Him… He is the Vine and you are the branch.

Let’s us be reminded of:

  • No one comes to the Father unless through Him (Jesus – Our Redeemer)
  • He (Jesus) was before all things was created, as God said…”Let there be Light”
  • Jesus is the Light of the world… The world means “your and all who are ‘Enlightened’ and ‘Saved’ by his Grace”
  • Jesus said…”I came that you may have life and have it ‘more-abundantly’ meaning he is giving you a ‘double-portion’
  • Jesus said… “I will never leave you nor forsake you”

Today as we tell a friend…”I have been thinking of you”, consider the Almighty, the Most-High thinking of you at this very moment. You are one of 7.3 Billion in this world yet our Lord knows you by name.

His Promise:

Action / Coming to our Lord:

The text above is asking our Lord not to abandon the work of His hands… yes we were created in His likeness and being in His likeness, we will never die. This is why God sent His Son Jesus to die for us.  As we saw that while we are still sinners Jesus died for us.  We also praise our Lord Jesus as our Eternal Sovereign God in One of His Father our Creator in His Holy Trinity. Coming to our Lord Jesus is the greatest step one can take in their life.

Conclusion:

“You cannot Test Drive being a Christian to see if you like it or not’ Why? In today’s topic the question is Guilty or not guilty? And we know the answer, which is… Guilty! Therefore, it is not possible to get a ‘Provisional Pardon’ you are either Pardoned or Guilty.  And it should be noted that there are no “good Christian’ or a ‘Better Christian’ we can only be a Christian or a sinner.  You see... A Christian is defined as one that is Born-Again and knows the Lord, being born into a Christian Family does not make you a Christian.

Let us praise the Lord today…

Romans 5 New International Version (NIV)

Peace and Hope

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance;perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.

You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Our place in Heaven is endowed by our Lord Jesus who said… John 14:3 And “if” I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. John 14:2-4 (in Context) John 14 (Whole Chapter.

“If” is meant that if He was going for you, because if you do not know Him and accepted Him, He was still going but He will not be building a place for you. Therefore, Listen as He said now is the accepted time, Come to Christ today and be a Joint-Heir in Jesus who endowed this to all those whose names are in the book of life.

Pray this… Lord Jesus I come knowing that You are the Son of God and through You Lord sinners are redeemed and Lord I am a sinner and I come and repent and turn to You Lord. Thank You Lord Jesus for receiving me as I go in faith knowing that all things will work for good to those that loves You. I pray in Your Holy name Lord Jesus… Amen.

Prayer: Heavenly Father in Jesus we come… Lord Jesus be with us all today as we thank You Lord for our many Visitors, Lord let Your providence flow to each of us as we go in Faith. Lord we thank You for Your Divine Grace and we thank You Lord for Your Redemption as we declare Victory in You Lord Jesus… To You Jesus Messiah, be the power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen.

Devotionals for Monday November 9th, 2015

Focus:       The book of Revelation is a recap of the Gospel and it is the Good News of our Lord’s faithfulness

The books of Matthew, Mark, Luke & John, were all about Birth of our Savior Jesus, throughout the New Testament the supremacy of Christ is declared and His teachings, His miracles and leading to the last three years of Jesus’ ministry before He went to the Cross. His Resurrection is a key declaration and His faithful promises are revealed.   Revelation is a compilation of what John was told to write-down by Jesus.  While many may say that Revelation is too deep in symbolisms and things that we cannot comprehend, especially about the vision of John and the epic events depicted, but the message is all about His ‘Calling’ to repent and to hold fast to Him, because…

  • Jesus calls us to awaken, reject wrong thinking and repent from sin.
  • God’s Word reveals truth and exposes error.
  • Ignoring God’s Word results in disaster.
  • God the Holy Spirit awakens the spiritually dead through repentance.

Faith “without” COMPRMISE is what Christ require of us.

Revelation 1:18 (NKJV)

18 am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.

Good News:

Isaiah 1:18 New King James Version (NKJV) 18 “Come now, and let us reason together,”

Says the Lord, “Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow;

Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool.

Isaiah 61:10 New King James Version (NKJV) 10 I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, My soul shall be joyful in my God; For He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness,

As a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, And as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

Devotionals for Sunday November 8th, 2015

Focus:         Using our talent for the Glory of God, by doing this He gives us a place for us to stand with Him….

Grace is not measured by our performances.

Nothing we do will impress God until we come to Him and know that He is God and in Faith accept His Grace and Salvation.

Text: 1 Peter 4:12

New American Standard Bible (NASB)

Share the Sufferings of Christ

12 Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal among you, which comes upon you for your testing, as though some strange thing were happening to you;

Commentary:

There are several key factors that we need to know

  • God does not need our money
  • God does not need our help
  • God does not need anything from us, but He wants us to…
  • Love Him, as Jesus said to the crowd…

And if you love Him you will follow His  instructions…

Mark 12: 28-31

28 One of the scribes came and heard them arguing, and recognizing that He had answered them well, asked Him, “What commandment is the foremost of all?” 29 Jesus answered,” The foremost is, ‘Hear, O Israel! The Lord our God is one Lord; 30 and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ 31 The second is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”

Matthew 5

New American Standard Bible (NASB)

The Sermon on the Mount; The Beatitudes

5 When Jesus saw the crowds, He went up on the mountain; and after He sat down, His disciples came to Him. 2 He opened His mouth and began to teach them, saying,

3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

4 “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.

5 “Blessed are the gentle, for they shall inherit the earth.

6 “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.

7 “Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.

8 “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.

9 “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.

10 “Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

11 “Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Principle: "I tell you...there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent." - Luke 15

His Promise / His Faithfulness:

In the world, ye shall have tribulation; in me ye shall have peace.”

Conclusion:  2 Corinthians 1:5  New American Standard Bible (NASB)

5 For just as the sufferings of Christ are ours in abundance, so also our comfort is abundant through Christ.

The text above outlines His promise that His sufferings were ours; but He bore this burden so that we may have comfort through Him, Christ Jesus as He became a substitute for us on the cross.

Action/Coming to our Lord:

Psalm 37:4-5 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

4 Delight yourself in the Lord; And He will give you the desires of your heart.
5 Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, and He will do it.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father in Jesus we come. Lord Jesus today we come to thank You for Your Grace, Your Love and Your Redemption. Lord, we know that unless You build it, it shall not last. Lord we thank you for being the Solid Rock on which we stand. Lord bless this mission and let it be a blessing for many, as we dedicate this to You for Your Glory.  Lord let this endeavor be fruitful and we thank You Lord for the Visitors and we ask your Divine Blessing on each one. In Your precious name we pray Lord Jesus and to You is the Power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen.

Devotionals for Saturday November 7th, 2015

Focus:  Some of the best servants of God are wheelchair bound, yet many athletes fall victims to this world as ‘Riches to Rags’

Fanny Crosby a blind person wrote some of the most beloved hymns with over 100 million copies of her hymns printed.

Albert Einstein is the great scientist of the twentieth century and notable physicist of all time. It is told that he had learning disability in his childhood. He could not talk till he was three and could not read till he was eight. Despite such problems he later became the noble prize winner for his contribution to the Physics.

Thomas Edison is the great inventor who has over 1000 patents and his inventions are in various fields used in our daily life. In his early life he was thought to have a learning disability and he could not read till he was twelve

Helen Keller (Devoted Life to Persons with Disabilities) She was Blind, Deaf, and Mute.

Matthew 25:21
His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’
Matthew 25:20-22 (in Context) Matthew 25 (Whole Chapter)

Commentary:

  • We need to adopt the principles of not trying to save our life for our own goal, but give it with no condition even to death
  • We need to let go and no strings attached so that the Grace of God will take charge of our life
  • This is what we call a living sacrifice

Each of us received specific talents, some with the gift of communication, some with music some inventors and some with financial skills, some are leaders and some are followers. Whatever skills we possess we can use it to help others. Our pastor told the story of two friends from school growing up one had an accident that rendered her a paraplegic and the other suffered the same fate, they both came together and instead of saying…”Who will marry us in our present state”? They formed a community project to help other paraplegics. So even when we think we are down and out there are always others with more challenge than what you face right now.

All of the above individuals facing life’s challenges made their mark on earth with significant contribution to mankind, except for Fanny Crosby who set out to give her Lord praises and to share her faith, but while doing this she received the blessing of the fragrance of our Lord. She was admitted to the Gospel Music Hall of Fame. The example of Fanny Crosby above points us to the fact while we spread the fragrance of our Lord, we will also receive His fragrance.  Remember only what’s done for Him will last and only what He builds will last. So let Him build our lives by His Grace, and following our Lord’s commandments, No. 1 To Love Him and No.2 to Love our Neighbors.

What can we contribute to society, it starts with one person, and the one person that can make a difference is ourselves. It’s like the little boy tossing beached Star Fishes back into the ocean, and a man came and said “what you are doing won’t make a difference”, the boy ignored him and tossed another, and then said, “to this one it makes a difference”. Burying our heads in the sand approach will not accomplish anything; it just takes a small spark to have started the great Chicago fire.  Thousands of acres are still burning across the US-West, guess what? they all started with a small spark or a small flame.

So look around see what talent the Lord gave you, get involved. Bring your ideas to your church; seek others to join you in volunteering to help other.  Even visiting nursing homes, hospitals and Children’s home, etc.

Good News:

Devotionals for Friday November 6th, 2015

Focus:      Which was a ‘good year’ for you? How is 2015 going so far? Let us end the year making it the greatest year ever…

There was a period of ‘Silence’ from God… After Malachi had ceased his prophesying and the canon of the Old Testament closed there was a period of 400 years before the stage was reset on the year 0001 by the birth of Jesus.  We could consider the Year 001 one of the greatest year in human history because of the birth of the Messiah, Emmanuel (God with us).

For any of us personally, we can make this year 2015 the greatest year ever when we come to Christ.

Jesus is not just our Shepherd He is the Unblemished Lamb of God… So today Lord Jesus we praise You and thank You for Your Unconditional love for us.

Good News:

Coming to the Lord:

Make this your “official” Birthday, the day when you are born-again by the Grace of Jesus and atoned by His Blood, so today November 6, 2015 should be the ‘Birthday’ of those who say…Lord today I come and I accept Your Divine Grace as I come as a sinner and through Your redemption I have a ‘New-Birth’ in You and I declare this to be my heavenly birthday. To you lord Jesus I turn and to You I make as the author and finisher of my faith. I pray this in Your Holy Name Lord Jesus… Amen.

Note: Our place in Heaven is endowed by our Lord Jesus who said… John 14:3 And “if” I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. John 14:2-4 (in Context) John 14 (Whole Chapter)

Conclusion:

Prayer: Our Father in Heaven in Jesus we come. Thank You Lord Jesus that through You our Savior we are made Joint-Heirs to Your Kingdom.  Lord we pray that our Visitors will be guided by Your Good News and that they will be brought to You Lord; as the angels will celebrate for every sinner that repents, Lord bless this day as we go forward in Faith and knowing that all our needs are provided and we give You thanks knowing that Your faithfulness and Your Covenant will never change. Lord Jesus we pray in Your Holy name and to You Jesus our Sovereign God in One of our Father and Creator, is the Power and the Glory, Now and Forevermore… Amen.

Devotionals for Thursday November 5th, 2015

Focus:       In life there are more opportunities than adversities, why? Because we sometimes ignore the opportunity, keep asking…

Are we too busy dealing with the challenges of life’s daily demands so that we are missing the opportunities?

Just go… Stop asking.  God told Moses to go… Stop asking, go and lead your people

Thoughts for the day:  Know when to Pray and when to move and carry out the mission

Text: Exodus 14: 13 Moses answered the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the LORD will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. 14 The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.”

Commentary:

Our God is a God with logics and He applies practical functions.  He parted the Red Sea for His people and He jammed the wheels of Pharaoh’s chariots. There are times when God is telling us to stop praying or stop looking and asking, why?  Because after we have made our request known we need to act on the request in

Faith knowing that whatever we ask in His Name, He will grant;

1 John 5:15

And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.

1 John 5:14-16 (in Context) 1 John 5 (Whole Chapter)

Just like when Moses was looking to God in: Exodus 14: 15-16 New International Version (NIV)

15 Then the LORD said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelites to move on. 16 Raise your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea to divide the water so that the Israelites can go through the sea on dry ground.

Waiting around is not what Jesus did. He was constantly on the move, by age Twelve He was already full of knowledge from His Father. We saw Him in the Synagogue questioning and answering the elders with authority, we saw Him over-turning the tables of the money changers in the Temple, and we saw Him healing many.

Jesus made things happen… He was not waiting for things to ‘happen’ He was proactive when He healed the Blind on the Sabbath. He willingly went to the Cross and He came back alive and spent 40 days with His disciples.

Good News -His Faithfulness:

His plan for us is already laid, all we have to do is in Faith Trust Him.   No Due Diligence needed here, because His Grace is given to us. Remember Grace is ‘Undeserved’ and it is by His Grace that we can have what Jesus offered…A Life and more Abundantly endowed by our Lord. We are His, as He purchased us at a price, and He lives in us.

So let us do our due-diligence in charting our future. In Christ He is our Sovereign God in One of the Holy Trinity, we can trust Him, He is the incomparable Lord, and Jesus is our Redeemer.

  • There is one Mediator between man and God, and He is Christ Jesus
  • Jesus is Sovereign & Eternal
  • Our Lord Jesus was there from the beginning of it all
  • Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever.
  • We are made Joint-Heirs in Jesus to His Kingdom
  • We are saved by Grace and not of anything we do
  • His Blood of Atonement is the Seal of His Redemption
  • He went to prepare a place for us, and;
  • Jesus said He will return and those in Christ will be with Him forever

Rejoice with Joy today knowing that the future is bright, because He Jesus is the Bright Morning Star, He is the Beginning and the End, and His ending is the beginning of what we refer to as; ‘The Best is yet to come’

Principle: Our Redeemer lives…  Rejoice for He chose us.  Have Victory in Christ Jesus He is Faithful forever.

Good News:

Coming to the Lord:

Lord today as I accept Your Peace, I will not fear what man can do, as You have provided Your Armor…

EVENING:

Note: Our place in Heaven is endowed by our Lord Jesus who said… John 14:3 And “if” I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. John 14:2-4 (in Context) John 14 (Whole Chapter)

Conclusion:

Prayer: Heavenly Father in Jesus our Lord and Savior we come. Lord Jesus because You were there from the beginning of it all, Lord you are the Great ‘I AM”, we thank You for Your Graciousness and Lord we thank You for Your divine Redemption. Lord we come in the shadow of the empty cross, but we know that were two or more are gathered, You are in our Midst… Lord thank You for sending the Holy Spirit, and let it be a ‘Day of Pentecost’ every day until You return. Lord we ask Your blessings on us all and for our many Visitors. Lord grants us Your Favors and equip us to serve as we are privileged to be a vessel for You. We pray in Your precious name Lord Jesus to You is the Power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen.

Devotionals for Wednesday November 4th, 2015

Focus:  Is the government setting a good example for us in managing our budget? Why do we always need more and more?

Is there any waste in our lives? Are we letting the cold-air out and letting the Air-Conditioner overwork? Could we make better use of our resources? Are we ’sharing’ the abundance of God with others? These are questions that will always be answered with… ‘Not-enough’ and we can always do more to conserve and share.

The government is the prime example of the ‘Not-enough’ rules… because of the social impact of humanity. The mass-exodus of refugees flowing into many countries are impacting everyone’s fiscal budget.  This brings us to one key point in pointing out the power of Christ… Christianity is the only ‘Global-group’ it crosses all borders, it has no ethnicity, no color and it is anchored by the only Immortal Redeemer, our Messiah Jesus Christ.

So we should waste no time and spend some quiet time with those that are mostly concerned about his/her church and the lack of interest in what he/she proposed to them.  Sometime we need to do our own spiritual check-up before casting any stones...

Just like the message to the church of Laodicea whish Christ said they were neither hot nor cold.  So being lukewarm we are not acceptable to the Lord.

We cannot go around correcting everyone as this will set a divide among ourselves. Therefore, it is best to live by Deeds and let your actions bring out the 'Power' of what we are endowed with, as we are set-apart and taking the high road will be like a commercial for Bentley, versus  loud intrusive ads for a low end auto.

We need to be bold yet humble, but be an ambassador that commands His presence not ours.

There will never be a 'perfect' church here on earth, but we are journeying to the greatest Tabernacle that will be perfect. So realizing that earthly churches are man-made but blessed by our almighty, but we are mere men and the constant battle never ends against the evil one.

Praise the Lord that all will be transformed in a blink of an eye...Imagine a Sanctified place... that's where we are headed.  Jesus' teaching through John in Revelation surely expressed the love of Christ, and His recap of the entire Bible is well placed with His Warning, His Calling, His Promise and His Divine Grace. If we respond in this order of Listening, Responding, Receiving and His Grace will complete the journey.

Yes, He Jesus is on the throne of Righteousness at the right-hand of the Mighty One, and Jesus is interceding on your behalf through His Righteousness He is presenting you to the Father and He is saying... “Father I have redeemed this sinner and he is worthy of being admitted into Your Kingdom”.  So come now and accept His Salvation and be counted among the living!

Pray this prayer of Commitment: Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name I pray Lord Jesus… Amen.

Prayer: Heavenly Father in Jesus we come… Lord Jesus we thank You for this privilege of bring Your Good News of Your Divine Salvation through Your Gift of Grace. Lord we thank You for coming to redeem us all as we come to the Cross and in Faith accept Your Blood of Atonement knowing that the final ‘Passover’ is eminent as You said we shall see You sitting at the Right-Hand of The Father coming on the cloud of Heaven, Lord let many come to know You and to look forward to that day with Joy… Lord bless our Visitors and grant us all Your Providence as we pray in Your Holy Name Lord Jesus to You is the Power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen.

Devotionals for Tuesday November 3rd, 2015

Focus:       Could this day be the most perfect day in your life? Think of the best day you ever had, and today could be better…

No it is not the day you get the keys to the new house or the new car, or the day you met your spouse, or any other happier times.  It is the day that you are able to receive the utmost gift from the Lord…

Material-Wealth is only useful on earth, but useless in heaven, only His Priceless Gift will last forever

Thoughts for the day:       The Bible is not a history book, it is all about our Messiah

TEXT: Ephesians 2:10

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.  Ephesians 2:9-11 (in Context) Ephesians 2 (Whole Chapter)

Commentary:  What is the project that you are currently working on?  Each of us have a project in one form or another. It could be to excel in schools, getting good grades, excel in sports, achieving success in the venture that you have started, or just to manage your time, your resources and be comfortable.

God has a plan for each of us as He loves you, and His  plans are fully outlined in this Best-Selling book of all times... The Holy Bible!

The Bible provides the answers to many of our everyday challenges…

The Cure for Anxiety is written in: Matthew 6: 33

33 But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

34 “So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

For centuries men have been going on treasure hunts. Prospecting for Gold, mining precious metal and gemstones is a test of one’s patience.  You will read about the one person that found a large nugget or a sizable gemstone, but there are many prospectors that went broke without ever finding anything of worth.

Maybe everyone should spend more time reading the Bible… The Word of God said:

Ezekiel 47:12

Along the bank of the river, on this side and that, will grow all kinds of trees used for food; their leaves will not wither, and their fruit will not fail. They will bear fruit every month, because their water flows from the sanctuary. Their fruit will be for food, and their leaves for medicine.”

EVENING:

Hardship can be a treasure:  just like undergoing training. So look at what we consider adverse situation to be a ‘rehearsal’ for Victory.  The best runners do a lot of training and their discipline will only yield benefit through a regimental training which is voluntary.  The discipline of the Lord is ‘mandatory’ as we all need to know when we get there to thank Him and not have to go back through the re-training.

Good News-Coming to the Lord:

Lord today as I accept Your Peace, I will not fear what man can do, as You have provided Your Armor…

Note: Our place in Heaven is endowed by our Lord Jesus who said… John 14:3 And “if” I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. John 14:2-4 (in Context) John 14 (Whole Chapter)

Prayer: Heavenly Father because of Jesus our Redeemer and through You Lord we have Victory and we can boldly declare that this day is the best day of all because Your Lord Jesus paid it all.  Lord we thank you for our Visitors and we ask your Divine blessing on us all. To You Lord Jesus is the Power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen.

Devotionals for Monday November 2nd, 2015

Focus:          What can you bring to God today? He provided all things, yet He needs something from us…

While all of our needs are met by the Lord, yet He still need something from us…

Jesus told John (The writer of Revelation to write down everything that he saw and was told) the message to the church of Laodicea is also written to us.  Why? Because the people of Laodicea were very much like us, they were an affluent advanced society, they had well laid out city, medical services even a hospital, and lived in houses that are comparable in size to our contemporary homes in our richest zip codes.

The message of them being ‘Lukewarm’ and their elite attitudes were very class conscious as they lived in a comfort-zone that made them complacent to the Lord.  While they were believers they lack the zeal to reach out to others.

They Lord warned them that they were neither hot nor cold and He would ‘spit’ them out like a luke-warm beverage than is supposed to be serve either hot or cold.  We all have tasted the left over juice that was once chilled at serving. This is what the Lord is saying, we may not be fit to be served.

What is the ‘Zeal’ that we are to possess? We are told to bring His Good News to the ends of the earth. So lacking the Zeal of carrying out His mission, the Lord said while they think they were rich, they were… 17 You say, ‘I am rich. I have everything I want. I don’t need a thing!’ And you don’t realize that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked.

Are we in the same category? Let’s leave the answer to us individually and not judge anyone.  But the message is to us all from our Lord is…19 I correct and discipline everyone I love. So be diligent and turn from your indifference.

Today the invitation from the Lord to come…18 So I advise you to buy gold from me—gold that has been purified by fire. Then you will be rich. Also buy white garments from me so you will not be shamed by your nakedness, and ointment for your eyes so you will be able to see.

So the answer what can we bring to the Lord today?  We are to bring ourselves, be filled with the zeal and to yield to Him and He said open our hearts, enter through the open-door that only He has the key to, as He said… 20 “Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends.

What a privilege that our Lord Jesus offered to the Laodiceans, this privilege is also available to us today.

21 Those who are victorious will sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat with my Father on his throne.

Today is the day of Salvation, there may not be another day, so we urge everyone to come to Christ and accept His invitation so that we can all be victorious in Him.

Read the Text… Revelation 3:14-22 New Living Translation (NLT)   The Message to the Church in Laodicea

14 “Write this letter to the angel of the church in Laodicea. This is the message from the one who is the Amen—the faithful and true witness, the beginning[a]of God’s new creation:

15 “I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish that you were one or the other!

16 But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth!

17 You say, ‘I am rich. I have everything I want. I don’t need a thing!’ And you don’t realize that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked.

18 So I advise you to buy gold from me—gold that has been purified by fire. Then you will be rich. Also buy white garments from me so you will not be shamed by your nakedness, and ointment for your eyes so you will be able to see.

19 I correct and discipline everyone I love. So be diligent and turn from your indifference.

20 “Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends.

21 Those who are victorious will sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat with my Father on his throne.

22 “Anyone with ears to hear must listen to the Spirit and understand what he is saying to the churches.”

Devotionals for Sunday November 1st, 2015

Focus:  Our Daily check-up… which is more important, checking your messages, talking to God or what’s for breakfast? Read more…

Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. Remember that your family of believers all over the world is going through the same kind of suffering you are. 1 Peter 5:8-9 NLT

Talk with the Lord in Prayers, give Him thanks for the day and ask for His Divine guidance, be renewed as through Him all things are bright and beautiful and made anew each day because he made it.  Our daily routines are probably universal for us all as we rise, some may check their messages, their emails and make coffee.   As we wake from a deep sleep in which we had many brain wave of dream(s) some we remember and some we forget. Dream still baffles the scientific community.

John the compiler of whom Jesus told to write down what he saw; John did not dream up the ‘Symbols’ in Revelation which still depicts the coming of the Lord in a vivid grand-victorious entrance on Jesus’ return.

The Dream of Daniel is complex, it is not a paradox, but it is a prophecy… we as mere humans must ‘Trust & Obey, while we acknowledge… the Power of the Almighty.

Deuteronomy 29:29 (NET)

29:29 Secret things belong to the Lord our God, but those that are revealed belong to us and our descendants forever, so that we might obey all the words of this law.

He (Jesus) said these words:

TEXT: Revelation 3:11-12 New Living Translation (NLT)

11 I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take away your crown. 12 All who are victorious will become pillars in the Temple of my God, and they will never have to leave it. And I will write on them the name of my God, and they will be citizens in the city of my God—the new Jerusalem that comes down from heaven from my God. And I will also write on them my new name. (End of text)

Good News: Coming to the Lord…

Today as we hear the Word and the message of things around us and the things to come, let us acknowledge that Jesus is God in One of the Father and we are His children and He said come to Him just like a child, in Faith.

Lord today as I accept Your Peace, I will not fear what man can do, as You have provided Your Armor…

Good News -His Faithfulness:

Ephesians 6:10-18 [Full Chapter] [The Whole Armor of God]

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. ...

Our place in Heaven is endowed by our Lord Jesus who said… John 14:3 And “if” I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. John 14:2-4 (in Context) John 14 (Whole Chapter)

Prayer: Our Father in Heaven in Jesus we come. Thank You Lord Jesus for this day and we are privileged to serve You Lord Jesus through this Good News network, Lord we pray that our Visitors will be guided by Your Good News and that they will be brought to You Lord; Lord let this mission be fruitful for Your Glory, as the angels will celebrate for every sinner that repents, Lord bless this day as we go forward in Faith and knowing that all our needs are provided and we give You thanks knowing that Your faithfulness and Your Covenant will never change. Lord Jesus we pray in Your Holy name and to You Jesus our Sovereign God in One of our Father and Creator, to You Lord Jesus is the Power and the Glory, Now and Forevermore… Amen.
