Sunday* 10-30-16       Sending the right signal is necessary to score in a game…

Whose Team are you on? Are you asking Jesus to be on your team or; are you on His Team.

Asking The Lord to get behind your plan is an insult, nothing that we plan is worth asking our lord to be a part of, only His plan which is already laid out for each of us is worthy of His leading.

TEXT:     Matthew 6:33-34 English Standard Version (ESV)

33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

34 “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

COMMENTARY:

Captain of a Team is an important position given to one that has the respect of his team. In an article published by Larry Lauer, PhD and Kevin Blue of Michigan State University; the criterion of being a good-captain are:

Major Point: Captains embody 3 C’s in leading their team: Caring, Courageous, and Consistent.

Listening to the quote by our Bible Study Fellowship leader who often remind us of the person saying… “God I have a great plan and I want you to get behind it”  it is like the medallion that said…”God is my Co-Pilot”  it is no wonder why with these declarations we fail in our plans, and when you are the Pilot you are oftentimes lost.

Jesus spent hours praying to the Father… Now Jesus said He and the Father are One… But we see here, The Father is the Team Owner and Jesus is the Captain, and the Captain spends much time listening to the one that made the rules.

So today as we asked… Whose team are you on? Whose plan are you executing? Are you asking Jesus to be the Author and Finisher?  Or are you forging ahead and when you encounter difficulties you come to Him for solutions?

Our Lord Jesus wants us to avoid all the blunders, so he gave us a clear set of rules, and a precise formula for success.  The Text above clearly provided Jesus’ teaching of how to get from point “A” to “B” without taking a detour.  Why not try this formula given by Jesus in a concise-direct order to achieving the Three “C” of a good Captain.

Be the captain of your life, but listen to the ‘Rule Maker’ this is not to say to be legalistic in our Christian life, but to do as Christ did, Pray without ceasing…  How does one pray without ‘ceasing’, stay engaged in thoughts and communication with the Lord, always ask; Lord should I be doing this? Or; Lord is this what you would want me to do?

The way to avoid making a mistake in cutting is to ‘measure-twice and cut once’ in life we have the old Railroad-signal of; ‘Stop-Look-Listen’.

EVENING:

Applying the Stop-Look-Listen in all we do knowing that our Lord sees all things, we need to remember this today and always…

ü  A Daily Walk with our Lord through His Word

ü  Love your neighbors

ü  Give the Lord the First-Fruit

ü  Bring whatever challenges you to the Lord

ü  Execute your endeavors for His Glory

ü  Thank the Lord for His Mercies

ü  Seek Him and Praise Him for His Love and His Providence

ü  Bring the Good News of His Salvation to others

ü  Keep looking up…

What is life’s incentive? Work hard and be rewarded, or work smart and be successful? Self-Reliance is not a strategic plan but it  is the root of what is sown in our mind, there are some root-stock that are bad and cannot bear good-fruit, so we must use caution of what we sow in our mind that the root-stock will be good and the fruit that we produce will be worthy of a good harvest.  So reliance on God is the pathway to successful, because our Lord gave us the best ‘Incentive’ but this is most often over-looked or ignored.

If we believe the Word of the Lord and He said… Matthew 6:33-34 New International Version (NIV)

33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Coming to our Lord:

Pray this prayer of Commitment: Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name I pray Lord Jesus… Amen.

His Promise:

Ephesians 1:13-14 New International Version (NIV)

13 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory.

His Faithfulness:

Titus 3:5-6 New International Version (NIV)

he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior,

Prayer: Heavenly Father we come in Your Holy presence knowing that through Jesus of Sovereign Eternal God in One of You our Father, and by Your Holy Spirit we are blest and highly favored in Your sight. Lord. We thank You for the privilege of serving You and being a Vessel bearing Your Word. Lord use this ministry of Good News Forever to bring others to you Lord and let it be for Your Glory. Father we thank You and seek Your divine blessings on our visitors seeking Your Peace and through Your Holy Anointed Jesus, The Christ, who we serve, we give You our Praises and to You Lord Jesus is the Power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen.

Our Faith, our Walk and His warning….

Text:      1 John 4:8-9 New International Version (NIV)

Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.

Commentary:

God in His infinite power of Light & Love, He did reveal His love for us in the Divine Gift of His Son.  In Jesus Christ God came to us in the fullness of His Grace.  He came that we might receive His pardon by His Atonement for our sins, and save us from everlasting destruction.  One might say, how do we have the authority of making this statement of Everlasting Destruction?  Because we are simply repeating the Word of God, as He said we are Created in His Likeness, and He also said that it is appointed unto man to die and after that there is a Judgment… God is never wrong, and these two statements affirmed that we will live forever.

The Love of God found its fullest expression in the Cross, where the Lord Jesus bore the judgment for our sins, meaning that he stood in our place, and by His Crucifixion, He paid It All, and by His Blood of Atonement, we are able to receive His SEAL of Salvation.

Philippians 4: 6 (The Amplified New Testament)

Verse 6: Do not fret o have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything by prayer and petition (a defined request) with thanksgiving continue to make your wants known to God.

Notice the key words are:

  • Do not fret
  • Every circumstance
  • By Prayer & Petition
  • With Thanksgiving
  • Continue your request to God

Give thanks to our Faithful Lord and Savior as He provides all our needs… as stated in: Philippians 4:19 New International Version (NIV)

19 And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.

The Beatitudes preached by Jesus and better known as the Sermon on the Mount.  Before we read the text, we did a little checking as to the meaning of Beatitude... and the Webster's definitions are listed below.

Friday*   10-28-16   Why there will be no police in heaven? Because there will be no need for the law

Topic: The Power of Prayer.  Jesus is the Key in our Prayer, but Faith is the Catalyst. Without Faith we cannot reach our Lord.

Text:  1 John 5:14-15

New King James Version (NKJV)

Confidence and Compassion in Prayer

14 Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 15 And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.

Commentary:

Note the text above said…  ‘This is the Confidence that we have in Him’ meaning that our confidence in ‘full-faith’ our Lord will hear us.  On the other hand, if we do not have ‘The Confidence’ (FAITHJ) then He will not hear us.  And when we pray in FAITH we know that He hears us.

Many pray without getting an answer as expected. Have you every purchased a product that needs assembling? Most of us did, and most of us do not read the instructions before starting to put the pieces together, and most times we have to take it apart and start over by following the instructions.

The Scriptures are somewhat like the instruction of how to fit the pieces together, but the Bible is not a How to do it book, it is all about Jesus and His Omniscient power.  But many of us try and just go to God without knowing how.  Why are we saying this?  Are we confusing the Good news? No, Jesus said now one comes to the Father unless through HIM.

This is procedure No. 1, Procedure No. 2 We have to pray with a diligent heart, meaning to have a ‘Contrite Heart that is founded in FAITH.

We read about the Pharisee’s long and eloquent prayer, in which he said, God, I am not like the tax collector over there, I am good…

but the Tax collector prayed…”Lord forgive me for I am a Sinner”

Jesus said… Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find, knock, and it will be opened to you  Matthew 7: 7 NJV

Principle:

Our Lord Jesus wants to give you Joy, Ask and you will receive it.  He said…

Until now you have not asked nothing in My Name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full. John 16: 24 NKJV. Note the above text;

His Promise / His Faithfulness: Until now you have not asked nothing in ‘My Name’

Just think we have to address the queen as ‘Your Majesty’… Our Majestic Sovereign Eternal God Jesus in the Trinity is asking that we come with a sincere heart and believe in Faith. But we need to know that He is Holy so we must be holy in Him.

Action/Coming to our Lord:

Come to our Lord Jesus knowing that He can do exceedingly great things in our lives…

Ephesians 3:20 New King James Version (NKJV)

20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,

Conclusion:

What mountain do you have in your life? Jesus said… Faith can move mountains, He was not referring to the Himalayas, (But it could well be moved by His Powers) He was saying; come to Him in Faith and call upon His Name and we shall be saved.  Now one may say what I really need from our Lord is not just being saved, I need financial security, I need a life, I need whatever…  We need to know when we are saved, He will guide us, and part of His guidance is to learn the meaning of His teaching. While we read that He said... Matthew 11:28-29

New King James Version (NKJV)

28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. (end of text)

We need to know our Lord’s statement of… ‘and you will find rest for your souls’

Rest is more than a good mattress, it takes ‘Peace of Mind, Hope and Assurance’ all of these we receive when we come to Jesus in Faith,  in the text above Jesus said; and ‘learn from Me’

Prayer:

Heavenly Father in Jesus we come, Lord Jesus today as we cast our Faith and Hope in You Lord, we are assured that Your Truth and Covenants will never change.  Lord Your Word said cast all our care upon You, as You cares for us.  Lord You said is any lacks wisdom, we are to ask and You will give liberally and without reproach, Lord we ask in Faith and we thank you for Your Graciousness. Lord thank You for the privilege of serving You for Your Glory and what is presented as Your Good News are to save sinners. Lord as You so commanded that we be witnesses for You Lord, we pray in Your Holy Name Lord Jesus as we ask Your divine blessing on us all including our Visitors. To You Lord Jesus is the Power and Glory now and forevermore… Amen.

Saturday* 10-29-16   Grace is a limited factor, use it before it expires

An old English story related the experience of a Dutchman who had settled down at the Cape of Good Hope, he saw a poor native reading the Bible and said scornfully: :This book is not for you or the likes of you.” The native person answered quietly: “Yes, it is for me, sir.” The Dutchman said… How do you know? ” - “Well my name is mentioned in it”, “your name?  Where?”. “Sir, said the man, pointing to the verse…This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptances that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” … Sinner, that is my name, that’s why the book is for me. The Dutchman did not know what to say to this.  Yes, God’s Holy Word is a book for us all.

We can say with full conviction that the Bible is the only book for us all, and we can draw riches for time eternity.  Happy are all who read it in simplicity and sincerity of heart like that native man who recognized himself to be a Sinner before a Holy and Righteous God that show not preference, as He is not prejudice and does not take sides because of race, color or creed.

Let us not ‘pre-judge’ anyone and let us revisit His Commandment which is founded on Love.

1 Timothy 1:15

New International Version (NIV)

15 Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners —of whom I am the worst.

The Grace and Love of our Lord

His Sovereignty, His Majesty, His Love, His Redemption….

His Omniscient… Jesus is with us always, even to the ends of the age:

Matthew 28:20  teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
Matthew 28:19-20 (in Context) Matthew 28 (Whole Chapter) Mark 14:7

HE is Omnipotent:  From Jesus our Eternal God, we receive His Power through His Holy Spirit:

2 Peter 1:3 [Confirming One’s Calling and Election] His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.
2 Peter 1:2-4 (in Context) 2 Peter 1 (Whole Chapter)

His Love:   Our Sovereign God loves us so much He sent His Son to Redeem us

1 John 4:10  NIV
This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
1 John 4:9-11 (in Context) 1 John 4 (Whole Chapter)

2 John 1:6
And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love.
2 John 1:5-7 (in Context) 2 John 1 (Whole Chapter)

His Divine Providence

Job 10:12 NIV
You gave me life and showed me kindness, and in your providence watched over my spirit.
Job 10:11-13 (in Context) Job 10 (Whole Chapter):

His Saving Grace:

2 Timothy 1:9 He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time,
2 Timothy 1:8-10 (in Context) 2 Timothy 1 (Whole Chapter)

Conclusion: We can come to the Throne of Righteousness in Prayer knowing that our High Priest our Redeemer Jesus Christ intercedes for us and by His Grace we are Saved… Amen

Prayer… Lord let me be humble and by brotherly love not pre-judge anyone. Today Lord instill in me the presence of Your Holy Spirit and capture my ways, my thoughts, my all and let me shine as a beacon for You.  leading others to You my Lord, as You said let it be done on Earth as it is in Heaven therefore; Lord use me and let Your Kingdom be broaden and grant our audience that seek You Lord; safety and as Your said Lord… ”You will never leave us nor forsake us”, To You is the Power and the Glory now and forevermore, in Your Holy name Lord Jesus we pray… Amen.

Reminder to our visitors, keep looking to our Lord to be the Author and Finisher of our Faith… God Loves You, and come to Jesus as He is our Mediator and our Sovereign God in One of His Divine Holy Trinity in His Father our Creator and His Holy Spirit.

7 Blessed are the merciful,
for they will be shown mercy.
8 Blessed are the pure in heart,
   for they will see God.
9 Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called children of God.
10 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Things to know that in the realms of reality, right now is what counts; not yesterday, nor tomorrow, for we know…“Jesus is the Great High Priest and HE is the Source of our SECURITY!”

Our Lord’s Grace and His Kindness and Graciousness are His gifts to those that serve and place Him first.

Live by the principle of… Spiritual maturity is developed by holding unto a FAITH that is FIRMLY ANCHORED IN CHRIST; and knowing that we are never on our own because Jesus is our High Priest.

Prayer: Heavenly Father in Jesus our Lord and Savior we come…Lord Jesus we come to You knowing that You are on the Throne of Righteousness and You intercedes for us, Lord, thank You for the many Visitors, fill us all with Your Holy Spirit and direct our pathways as we seek to be led by Your divine guidance as the Author and Finisher of our Faith.  And by Faith we come and accept You Lord knowing that all things work for good to those that love You, and in acknowledgement of Your Word, that You will never leave us nor forsake us, Lord we give You the Praise and to you Lord Jesus is the Power and the Glory, now and forevermore… Amen.

Tuesday: October 25, 2016               Pride without prejudice + love = Faith

When a company places a slogan on their product…” Made with Pride” is this company set to fall?

Pride comes before destruction as said; but there are ‘false’ pride and ‘boastful’ Pride and then there is Pride of ‘Satisfaction’

The offensive factor of Pride is when it is coupled to prejudice, bragging and being self- righteous.   This is offensive to man and God.

TEXT:     Proverbs 16:18

Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall. In Context | Full Chapter |

Proverbs 11:2

When pride comes, then comes shame; But with the humble is wisdom. In Context | Full Chapter | Other Translations

Proverbs 13:10

By pride comes nothing but strife, But with the well-advised is wisdom.

Can you imagine that our Lord Jesus who is God Incarnate washed the feet of His disciples, why? Jesus detested ‘Pride’ and He showed His Humbleness by this act…

COMMENTARY: Why do you wash your car? Clean your house? Because they are your possessions.  The cost of owning in God’s economy is ‘Love” not money.  God’s equation is founded on ‘Endless-love’ Money is like an ice cube on hot pavement, but Love can be forever.

1 John 2:15-17 New International Version (NIV)

On Not Loving the World

15 Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. 16 For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. 17 The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.

Commentary:  When we sin we not only disgrace ourselves, but we offended our Lord, we are sending Him to the cross over and over… God do not believe in ‘Double-Jeopardy.  He died Once! And He Rose forevermore…

There is a recent resignation of the pastor of one of the largest Mega-Church (in Florida) our understanding of his action causing his resignation was because of ‘Personal Transgressions against the Lord”.  This is just what the press likes to report, it sells newspapers.  But here was a ‘Man’ who came to town from the famous Sin-City ‘Las Vegas’ after He came to the Lord, was commissioned to form a chapter of a large church-ministry, through the Grace of the Lord built one of the largest congregations in South Florida on a large campus and fell from grace.  This is the kind of news that ‘Scoffers’ like to feed on.

We are not coming to the defense of the Transgressor, but as Jesus said…  “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.”

John 8: So when they continued asking Him, He raised Himself up and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.”

We do not know what ‘sinister’ role that this pastor had, and we pray for the congregation that that they may look to the Lord as the Lord Jesus is the Fountainhead and they are in Oneness in Christ and not to this fallen pastor.

Remember we are all human… and as Jesus said there’s none ‘good’ and all our ‘Righteousness’ is just a filthy rag.

When King David committed the sin of adultery and followed up with having the husband killed, here we see an ‘anointed’ man falling to the wiles of the devil.

We are reminded today that the closer you are to the Lord, the more the devil will be working overtime to derail us from our fellowship with the Savior.  The evil one even attempted his evil action on Jesus… Jesus said… 10 Then Jesus said to him, “Away with you, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.” Matthew 4: 10 NKJV

So let us rebuke the evil one by using the Power of God’s Word….

No one is immune to sin…

Can God Change my life?

He is willing… but what if we are not willing to change our old ways?

When we come to Jesus our High Priest, He intercedes to His Father our Creator, we are told to come to HIM boldly and make all petitions known with Thanksgiving in Prayer to our Lord Jesus.

How can we be changed to be bulletproof from temptation?

No one is immune to temptation to sin, even Jesus was tempted but He remained Sinless, he used the scripture to thwart the temptation of the devil.

We too need the Two-edged Sword to thwart the temptation which is more than ever a blitz in lights, on the TV, the Internet, Print and music etc.  We have to look beyond the temporary pleasure that is abominable to our Lord.  We need to ask for His help in overcoming the urge.

1 John 1:9 New International Version (NIV)

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

Conclusion:

The one sure thing that we can say will be from the Lord, this will be known as ‘The Day of the Lord’

“But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare. Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives” 2 Peter 3:10-11 NIV

Psalm 32:6
Therefore let all the faithful pray to you while you may be found; surely the rising of the mighty waters will not reach them.
Psalm 32:5-7 (in Context) Psalm 32 (Whole Chapter)

Prayer:

Heavenly Father in Jesus name we come, Lord Jesus today as we seek Your Guidance and Your divine Providence in our lives, Lord let us be led by Your Holy Spirit.  Lord we look to that day in Faith, when You appear we shall see You as You are, and we shall be transformed in the twinkling of an eye. Lord Your Word said, In You dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily, and we are complete in You Lord Jesus, and You are the head of all principalities and Power. Lord bless our Visitors and grant us all Your favors as we pray in Your Holy Name Lord Jesus to You is the Power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen

Devotionals Monday October 24, 2016

Morning:

Focus:     The Lord moves in a divine way, not a mysterious way. His way is the only way, but He let you choose by your freewill.

Choose life and come to Christ as he said…”I came that you may have life and have it more abundantly”

Make the right choice now and be assured that you will receive His ‘more’ abundant life.  Jesus was saying He was giving us a double-portion of Life, and what is a double portion of life? It is Life-everlasting through Him.

The Sheep and the Goats

Matthew 25:

31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.

34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’

44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’

45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’

46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”

TEXT: John 10:10

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

EVENING:

Coming to our Lord:

His Faithfulness:

Jesus the giver of Life – everlasting, remember that a ‘Free’ Gift had to be bought by the giver, and Jesus bought His Priceless Gift with His Life by dying for us, and His Payment was Redeemed by the Father as He Rose from death. His Resurrection is a Witness of what He has endowed for those in Jesus who shall also share in His Glory through His Divine Redemption.

Yes we can receive His ‘Priceless-Gift’ right now and be made a Joint-Heir in Christ our Savior.

Matthew 10:32

[Confess Christ before Men] “Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess (you) before My Father who is in heaven. In Context | Full Chapter

To know Christ:  Repent (Turn from your sins) and by faith receive Jesus Christ into your heart and life and follow Him in obedience as your Lord and Savior.

Prayer: Heavenly Father in Jesus our Lord and Savior we come.  Lord Jesus as we go in faith knowing that You came and by Your Grace we are saved and we look to that day when we shall see you as You are Lord.  Lord today we ask Your Divine blessing on our Visitors and we seek You Holy Spirit to fill us and guide as we do all for Your Glory. We pray in Your Holy name Lord Jesus and to You is the Power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen.

Devotionals for Sunday October 23, 2016

Topic: Sharing:   Receiving what you cannot purchase…

Focus:  The Lord said… Acts 13:47

For this is what the Lord has commanded us: “I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.” In Context | Full Chapter |

Acts 1:8

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” In Context | Full Chapter | Other Translations

Jesus who was declared on the first day of God’s creating the Heaven and Earth, as He said… Genesis 1:3

And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. In Context | Full Chapter |

John the Baptist who came preaching in the ‘Wilderness’ (the Bible depicted John’s ministry to be in the wild, the term ‘Wilderness’ is referring to the land of the ‘Lost).

John said… John 1 New International Version (NIV)

The Word Became Flesh (The Supremacy of Jesus)

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome[a] it.

There was a man sent from God whose name was John. He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all might believe. He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light.

Jesus is the Light of the World:

The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world.10 He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. 11 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him.

Receive Him and Believe:

12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.

14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

15 (John testified concerning him. He cried out, saying, “This is the one I spoke about when I said, ‘He who comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me.’”) 16 Out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given. 17 For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. 18 No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and[b] is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known.

Narrative:

The event of Moses being told to make a Snake and lift up so those bitten could be cure; Numbers 21:9

So Moses made a bronze snake and put it up on a pole. Then when anyone was bitten by a snake and looked at the bronze snake, they lived. In Context | Full Chapter |

We all are ‘Bitten’ by the lure of this world, and all have sinned…  Romans 3:23

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, In Context | Full Chapter |

So just as how Moses lifted up the Snake in the desert, The Cross is the Catalyst that heals our sins by His Blood at Calvary.

John 3:14

Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, In Context | Full Chapter |

Today we say... Sharing- Receiving what we cannot purchase and we cannot give it away but we can share the way to the Cross.

Imagine that in the vastness of the number of people in the desert going to the Promised-Land, (as many as 2 million) someone had to show the other person the way to the Snake) Just like then, looking towards the Snake they would live. Today coming to the Cross is the same, we do not have to ‘Physically’ go the Calvary, it is through His Holy-Spirit that we are able to experience the ‘New-Birth’.

Praise God for His Love, Graciousness and Redemption through Jesus our Redeemer. As we can affirm that our Redeemer Lives and we shall See Him of that day.

Today as we celebrate ‘Oneness-in-Christ’ share the Good news, bring someone to church and point them to the Cross…

Prayer… Heavenly Father we thank you for Your Grace and Your Redemption through Jesus our Redeemer. Lord Jesus we thank You and we present our Visitors and seek Your Divine Blessing on us all.  We pray in Your Holy Name Lord Jesus to You is the power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen.

Devotionals for Saturday October 22, 2106

Focus: Giving:  Yet never in Need

If you are able to give, this is a privilege and it demonstrate that you are provided for.

There is a ‘Gift’ that keeps on ‘Giving’ and this is something we cannot purchase, inherit, rent it or borrow it and use it for a day or a minute.  It is so Priceless that no money in the world can buy it; and this is the only ‘Gift’ that you will be forever… And guess what? it’s Free.

God’s Gift to us all, Jesus His Son…

TEXT: Colossian 1: The Supremacy of the Son of God

15 The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. 17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18 And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. 19 For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, 20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.

Commentary:

Leaving a legacy means nothing to a person that is no longer here. The Good News is that while we cannot account for anything that are truly ‘Man-made’ and having to face mortality; the Good News is that we are created in the ‘Likeness of God’ and because God never dies, and we too will never die.

The question where what will be your Postal Code? H-1 = Heaven, or H-2 = Hell? If you were offered a place to live and the choice is in the basement or be on an upper floor with a view, most certainly one would choose the upper floor. Strange enough, some may choose the basement because of their intent to live in seclusion.  In the realms the great ‘beyond’ Jesus said… “In my Father’s kingdom, there are many Mansions”

Jesus said… John 14:1-3

New King James Version (NKJV)

The Way, the Truth, and the Life

14 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.

The Bible said… There will be no condemnation to us all who are in Christ Jesus:

Romans 8

New King James Version (NKJV)

Free from Indwelling Sin

There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.

Principle: Romans 8: 16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.

His Promise / His Faithfulness:

Romans 8: 37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Action/Coming to our Lord:

Romans 8:29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Romans 8:28-30 (in Context) Romans 8 (Whole Chapter)

EVENING:

Conclusion:

How can we ever be encouraged about the outlook of the future, the press constantly publishes a perplexing anxiety driven news, why? Because ‘Bad-News’ sells paper.   Good News will probably sell more papers as people are hungry for good news…  but the human trait will apply the principle of apathy and ignore the Good News as it represents a good ‘status-quo’

The Good News is that Jesus is Sovereign, He is Eternal and He loves us! and above all Jesus died and Rose Triumphantly and conquered death by taking all of our Sins on the Cross.  Yes, He died for our Sins, and he Rose from the tomb, and He Ascended to Heaven and He is on the Throne of Righteousness, and one day he will return.

Today as we end the day we reflect on the free enterprise system still blessed by the freedom of worship and the freedom of speech.  Our daily devotion written more like a blog stimulates the mind and addresses issues in our society, but one sure thing… we present the Gospel of our Lord Jesus.

So tonight we lift our Lord Jesus on High, we Praise Him and we give Him first place and He is Pre-Eminent and is above all powers and; For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weakness, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.  (Hebrews 4: 15-14)

Are you ready for His return? Today His Grace abounds, and His Salvation is readily available to be received. So come to Him, and pray… Lord Jesus I am a Sinner, and I repent of my sin by accepting Your ‘Priceless-Gift, Lord Jesus Your Grace I receive and in You I place my trust. Lord direct my path as I seek a closer walk with you my Lord. I Pray in Your Holy Name Lord Jesus, Amen.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father in Jesus our Lord and Savior we come. Lord Jesus thank You for coming and Thank You for Your Divine Redemption. Lord we thank You for our Visitors and the privilege of serving You Lord for Your Glory.  Lord we Praise You and we seek Your divine guidance as we go in Faith knowing that You will return Lord Jesus. In Your Holy name we Pray Lord Jesus and to You is the Power and the Glory now and Forevermore… Amen.

Topic:    Gaining: By Giving…

Focus: :  Less is ‘More’ He should increase and I should decrease… because in Him we have His Abundance.

TEXT:     Mark 12 The Widow’s Offering

41 Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. 42 But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a few cents.

43 Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. 44 They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on.”

The Widow gained more than the rich donors… Jesus acknowledged… “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. 44 They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on.”

The Lord sees us from the inside, and He knows our thoughts and whatever we do in His Name let us not hold back, make every effort to be a food custodian for Him.

As His Ambassador He will equip you, give you His mercies and all your needs he will provide.  Just be in Faith as He told His disciples to take nothing…

Mark 6:8

These were his instructions: “Take nothing for the journey except a staff—no bread, no bag, no money in your belts.

If you had one wish, what would you wish for?

Thoughts for the day: The Power of Prayer… Prayer is the source of Power given to us by our Lord to seek HIM.

Think on this… Do not throwaway today by fretting about tomorrow, The Bible said Fret not.

Commentary:

Prayer is a Divine interaction with our Lord, He gave us this privilege of coming to Him, and He also revealed many secrets to us:

  1. Faith:                      This is the Power of coming into His Presence; Faith is the key step in coming to Him,
  2. Belief:                     He said when we pray we must have Faith and Believe we already received His Favor
  3. Supremacy:            He is Supreme and Sovereign, and we must place Him First over all
  4. Redemption:         Acknowledge His Redemption and His Grace that saved us
  5. Holy Spirit:            Seek His Holy Spirit and He is Omnipresence and Omni potent.
  6. Thanks Giving:      Give Thanks and acknowledge in Faith that whatever we Ask or Think He said He will do

Are you facing a Giant today, Our Lord can make a way for you to overcome it and be victorious... Praise our Lord Jesus for He is Faithful.

His Promise / His Faithfulness:

Jesus taught us how to pray

Matthew 6: 7-8 NIV

7 And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. 8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

Philippians 4: 19 And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. We need to focus on the positive more and still remember the negative results of sins. Our Lord is saying in HIS Prayer “ Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, 10 your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven”…

He was telling us while we are here the following will apply:

  • He (Jesus) is as powerful here on earth as He is in Heaven
  • He will supply our needs here while we are here on earth
  • He will protect from evil, by us trusting and knowing Him

As Christians we need to emphasize the following:

  • The Positive aspects of following our Lord Jesus, as He is Holy
  • The Joy that He provides by His words of Assurance
  • The Victory we have in Him

The satisfaction of spreading His Good news to others, as we spread His fragrance we also receive His blessings too. We are to tear down the barriers to achieve the secret of satisfaction in coming to Jesus and fellowship in Christ in Oneness; knowing that we can find the fulfillment of all our needs in fellowship with God.

We thank our Lord Jesus for His Faithfulness and for His unspeakable gift. What a privilege He gave us to be able to come to Him. Hebrews 7:25..."Therefore He is able to save completely those who come to God through Him (Jesus), because He always lives to intercede for them. (Hebrews 7:25 NIV)

Prayer:

Heavenly Father in Jesus we come, Lord Jesus today as come into Your Holy Presence Lord, You said You are in their midst… Lord let Your presence be felt and let us be filled with Your Holt Spirit that will receive Your Good News of your Redemption. Lord let the presenters of Your Messages be anointed with Your Holy Spirit to bring the Gospel to many and Lord; be with us as You are proclaimed to be God in One of our Father and as King of kings.  Lord Jesus we give You the Glory as we seek Your blessings on us all. Lord bless our visitors as we bring Your messages for Your Glory that many will come to know You Lord, as only what’s done for You Lord will last.  Lord we thank You for the privilege of serving You, and in You Lord Jesus we commit all to You and Pray in Your Holy Name Lord Jesus, to You is the Power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen.

11 He replied, “Because the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them. 12 Whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them.

What did Jesus mean by the above statement?

Let us explore the five things that are among the secrets of His Kingdom (Verse 12 above)

  1. Knowledge
  2. Wisdom
  3. Providence
  4. Grace
  5. Redemption

Why did Jesus mean… “Whoever does not have (Knowledge, Wisdom, His Providence, Grace, will not have His Redemption), even what they have (the temporary things) will be taken from them, even their life and Soul.

We receive Grace and Redemption through the Holy Spirit which is from the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Saul’s conversion on the road to Damascus was a Divine moment in his life.  The Holy Spirit descended of him…

Acts 9:18 Immediately, something like scales fell from Saul’s eyes, and he could see again. He got up and was baptized, In Context | Full Chapter

Paul (Saul) was chosen by the Lord, he received knowledge, experienced a transformation from a life of persecuting Christians to proclaim (To proclaim is more than making a statement it is a declaration) Paul declared Christ and through his transformation by the Holy Spirit, Paul experienced through the Word and embarked on a ministry that reached many for Christ and through his writing, his pastoral letters and ministry in;

  1. Romans   Paul presented the Gospel and God’s Plan for Salvation to the Jews and gentiles.
  2. 1st & 2nd Corinthians       Directed to the Church and what the Church can do…
  3. Galatians        Paul’s message about being legalistic to a Christian life, outline of life in the Spirit.
  4. Ephesians       A strong emphasis on Grace through Faith and being made alive in Christ alone
  5. Philippians    Paul expounded a Life in Christ is a Joyful Life in every circumstance…
  6. Colossians     Paul demonstrated the Supremacy of Christ, as the Image of the Invisible God…
  7. 1st & 2nd Thessalonians  Speaks of Christ’ eminent return…
  8. 1st & 2nd Timothy       Telling Timothy to care for the Church and carry on after he dies to guard the Gospel.
  9. Titus         Telling Titus to care for the Church on the island of Crete
  10. Philemon      Telling Philemon to show Grace to his runaway slave Onesemus
  11. Hebrews   The Absolute Supremacy of Jesus Christ and Jesus as our Mediator.

Praise God the Father and thank our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who shepherded the above who presented the Gospel of the Good News of Christ, so that many through the Wisdom granted them will come to know Christ.

Come to Christ just as you are…

Pray: Lord Jesus I come knowing that You are God in One of our Creator, and that You have said no one can come to the Father unless through You, and Jesus, here I am to receive You as my Redeemer and I accept You today as the Author and Finisher of my Faith in You Lord Jesus, and I confess my sins and ask that You forgive me and let Your Holy Spirit guide me from here on, Lord I look to You from this day forward knowing that I am now a child of God, and Lord Jesus I am now a Joint Heir with You knowing I am saved by Your Grace Lord Jesus, I pray in Your Holy name Lord Jesus, take my life and let it be for Your will and to You be the Glory and the Power Jesus Messiah, Amen.

Heavenly Father we thank You and in Jesus we thank You. Lord Jesus thank You for Your faithfulness and we are privileged to bring Your Good News to our Visitors. Lord we ask Your Divine blessing on us all, to you be the Power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen.

Devotionals for Wednesday October 19, 2016

Topic:  Listening: Receiving Love and Care acknowledge the Giver.

Focus: Listening is not Hearing, and Hearing is not Learning…

According to the research of Adler, R., Rosenfeld and Proctor, R (2001)

Effective listening requires concentration and use of your other senses-not just hearing the words spoken.

We are to…

  1. Stop Talking
  2. Prepare yourself to Listen
  3. Relax
  4. Put the Speaker at Ease
  5. Remove Distraction
  6. Empathize
  7. Avoid Personal Prejudice-To be impartial
  8. Listen to the Tone
  9. Listen for Ideas -Not Just Words
  10. Listen and Watch for Non-Verbal Communication.

Apparently Moses and John were good listeners, as Moses accounted for the first Five-Books of the Bible and John heard and wrote down what Jesus said as declared in the book of Revelation.

Peter on the other hand could be considered to be a not too good-listener. We see him losing focus and sinking while he was walking on the water to Jesus.  We also saw his actions and reactions when he denied Jesus.

So when we come to the Lord in Prayers, let us also pause and Listen for His feedback, and when we receive our request we should acknowledge His as the Giver.

Jesus was speaking, and God the Father said… “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. Listen to him!”

Matthew 17:5

While he was still speaking, a bright cloud covered them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. Listen to him!” In Context | Full Chapter | Other Translations

Note the instruction is ‘Listen to Him’.  Jesus is in the midst of our prayers and He is a Good-Listener…

Matthew 18:20 For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” In Context | Full Chapter |

Moses was told…” I am who I AM’…

Exodus 3:14 [Full Chapter]

God said to Moses, “I am who I am. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I am has sent me to you.’”

The woman at the well in Samaria was also told… John 4: 26 Then Jesus declared, “I, the one speaking to you—I am he.”

Galatians 6:6

Nevertheless, the one who receives instruction in the word should share all good things with their instructor.

Hebrews 10:1

Christ’s Sacrifice Once for All] The law is only a shadow of the good things that are coming—not the realities themselves. For this reason, it can never, by the same sacrifices repeated endlessly year after year, make perfect those who draw near to worship. In Context | Full Chapter |

Good News -His Faithfulness:

His Promise:

From the day of Creation God provided us with the goodness of His creation and gave us dominion over all living things. Just imagine, the creation of Heaven and Earth were made for Mankind… just think that God in His Infinite Wisdom by His Intelligent design did all this for us. Why” because He loves us... But we betrayed His trust and sin entered the lives of humans, now as descendants of Adam we inherited this blemish called Sin.  But nothing surprises our Majestic God; He provided a way for us to be redeemed by the Blood of Jesus. Jesus, who was with God and the Holy Spirit from the beginning of it all, Jesus was predestined to be our Redeemer.

Conclusion:

His Faithfulness:

God placed us here to enjoy the worship of him and the intimacy of his love for us. This is the big joy that he gave us so forget the short term pitfall disguised as entertainment

  • The defining focus of God is Love not power
  • God brings order
  • God commanded; us to be fruitful and multiply
  • God blesses His living beings.

Prayer: Father we come in Jesus our Redeemer and our Sovereign Eternal God in One of Your Holy Trinity, Lord Jesus in awe we come knowing that all things were created by You as The Father Spoke and You acted in His Holy Spirit. Lord today let us be good-stewards of Your mission and bless our Visitors coming to this Website. We pray in Your Precious Name Lord Jesus, to You are the Power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen.

Topic:  Faith:      Hope by Grace granted by the Lord…

Focus: Zechariah 12:10

Mourning for the One They Pierced] “And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication. They will look on me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son. In Context | Full Chapter |

Grace is from the Lord… The scripture above was written 520 BC before Christ came and was Crucified…

This demonstrates the GRACE of the Lord, as there was a period of 400 Years of silence until the Birth of Jesus.

When we consider the daily lives of this world and the constant for power through political means, the politicians needs to stop and know that God is in charge.

Herod was a king, he never need to campaign to be elected, but he overstepped his power…

Acts 12: 21-24

21.  On the appointed day Herod, wearing his royal robes, sat on his throne and delivered a public address to the people.

22. They shouted, “This is the voice of a god, not of a man.”

23 Immediately, because Herod did not give praise to God, an angel of the Lord struck him down, and he was eaten by worms and died.

24 But the word of God continued to spread and flourish.

The Text above written 520 years before the birth of Christ which included the ‘Silent-Years’ (the end of the Old Testament) this period of 400 years of silence was broken by the Birth of Christ.  And the Good News of Christ’s Resurrection and because he lives, all those in Him shall also live.

There are some today that may feel like Herod, their wealth and their prominence in the world of commerce is making a few categorized as a Sage, a Wizard or an Oracle… So the lesson is don’t take the credit, give the Praise to the Lord.

Conclusion: The massive migration of people displaced by the war and other conflicts is a current news item.  The journey to the Promised-Land was a more epic event, Moses led millions through the desert to Canaan, and the Lord did not forget them, in fact he cared for them while ‘training’ them in preparation to enter the Promised-Land.

We are all a ‘Diaspora’ of some sort. Why? Wide-Spread changes are making many feel like we are a foreigner.

Matthew 26: 41 NIV

Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

Prayer: Father in Heaven in Jesus our Lord and Savior we come to You knowing that You are on the Throne of Righteousness and You intercedes for us, Lord. Lord be with our Visitors today and fill us all with Your Holy Spirit and direct our pathways as we seek to be led by Your divine guidance as the Author and Finisher of our Faith.  And by Faith we come and accept You Lord klnowi9ng that all things work for good to those that love You, and in acknowledgement of Your Word, that You will never leave us nor forsake us, Lord we give You the Praise and to you Lord Jesus is the Power and the Glory, now and forevermore… Amen.

Devotionals for Monday October 17th, 2016

Topic:    Prayers:               A Two-Way Conversation with Lord…

Focus:   What will appeal to you today, something that satisfies you desire, it is permanent, or temporary? Choose the right one…

The Power of Prayer… Prayer is the source of Power given to us by our Lord to seek HIM.
Thoughts for today… Do not throwaway today by fretting about tomorrow, The Bible said Fret not.

Text:  Matthew 6: 7-8 NIV

Jesus taught us how to pray

7 And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. 8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

  6. Thanksgiving       Give Thanks and acknowledge in Faith that whatever we Ask or Think He said He will do

Are you facing a Giant today, Our Lord can make a way for you to overcome it and be victorious... Praise our Lord Jesus for He is Faithful.

His Promise / His Faithfulness:

Matthew 6: 7-14 NIV

7 And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. 8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

9 “This, then, is how you should pray:

   “Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
10 your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us today our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.’

14 For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

Philippians 4: 19 And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.

We need to focus on the positive more and still remember the negative results of sins. Our Lord is saying in HIS Prayer… “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, 10 your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven” …

Action/Coming to our Lord:

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.” 1 Corinthians 13:4-5 NIV

Principle:  Humbleness and Meekness shall triumph over pride and the boastful ones will be debased.  Pride Debases those that boast and put their trust in money and earthly things…. Correct Living is rooted in Christ    Pride displaces God from the heart in favor of Self

Hebrews 10:23 New International Version (NIV)

23 Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.

Let us not judge others, and remembering that forgiveness is the first step towards building a relationship among each other.  To be less self-centered and Christ Centered

Conclusion:

We read...The Pharisee stood up and prayed about himself: "God, I thank you that I am not like other men--robbers, evildoers, and adulterers--or even like this tax collector." - Luke 18:11

Luke 18: ’ 13 But the tax collector, standing some distance away, was even unwilling to lift up his eyes to heaven, but was beating his breast, saying, ‘God, be [f]merciful to me, the sinner!’ 14 I tell you, this man went to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be exalted.”

Looking at such a prayer, we need to be less 'self-centered' and more 'Christ-Centered' as our Lord while on the cross, simply said... "Father forgive them for they know not what they do". Remember also as Jesus said while on the cross, "It is Finished" several events took place... Earthquakes, the Sun went dark for 3 Hours, the Curtain in the Temple was Torn, it should be noted that the Curtain was replaced by HIS NEW COVENANT, by HIS ULTIMATE SACRIFICE; and Jesus became our HIGH PRIEST! And... Knowing that Jesus our Redeemer ascended to Heaven and sits on the Throne of Righteousness, and HE intercedes on our behalf as our Advocate, as our High Priest.

What a privilege He gave us to be able to come to Him. Hebrews 7:25..."Therefore He is able to save completely those who come to God through Him (Jesus), because He always lives to intercede for them. (Hebrews 7:25 NIV)

Conclusion:

To know Christ… Repent (Turn from your sins) and by faith receive Jesus Christ into your heart and life and follow Him in obedience as your Lord and Savior.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father in Jesus we come, Lord Jesus today as Your Houses of Worship where many are gathered Lord as You said You are in our midst, Lord Jesus we give You the Glory as we seek Your blessings on us all. Lord bless our visitors that many will come to know You Lord, as only what’s done for You Lord will last.  Lord we thank You for the privilege of serving You, and in You Lord Jesus we commit all and Pray in Your Holy Name Lord Jesus, to You is the Power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen.

Devotionals for Sunday October 16, 2016

Topic:    He Restores… Do not look back at what you lost, or what was stolen from you, the Lord Restores!

Focus:  Under the rules of the U.S. Tax laws, you can use the Losses in your business as a Tax Credit against your current income. The rules are very rigid and following the guidelines there will be some recovery.

In the realms of the Lord He restores and adds to your losses.  We all have accountable losses of one kind or another.

We lose money, crops, properties and other belongings and even loved ones. Living experience by the writer attests to the reality of the Lord’s Providence.  In the book of JOB, Job experienced loss of properties, families and his health, but the Lord restored it all and more.

So today we are focusing of the following:

  • Do not sweat the small stuff
  • Do not envy or curse those that stole
  • Do not look back at losses
  • Look ahead and thank the Lord for the moment in your life
  • Continue giving in faith
  • Keep the Faith knowing that all good things come to those who loves the Lord

It is said if all it took was money, anyone could do it.  This is a statement that points to one factual thing that money cannot buy… This is the Priceless-Gift of God.

Commentary: The old saying…” if all it took was money anyone can do it” but there is a Priceless Gift that we have from The Lord.  Have you ever eaten in a restaurant that there are no prices on the menu? We are not talking about an all you can eat buffet, but a place where the menu items are all unpriced. It would be like going into a Watch store in Geneva that specializes only in ‘Hand-made’ timepieces and telling the watchmaker… I will take one of these and two of those, and he said have you heard the price? And you say how much? He said this one is $60,000 and the men’s version of $65,000 and the other one is $62,000.

We know of a person that went to such a store and pointed to a timepiece and the store attendant looked at her and reluctantly took it out of the case, she tried in on and then asked do you have a match for a man? The clerk handed it to her, she called her husband who tried it on and said I love, and walked away with the watch strapped to his wrist, she then took out her Credit card and said...” I take them both’ the clerk was shocked as he just sold 2 watches for $120,000.

The story went… that at first the clerk though she was an oriental person just window shopping like walking through a museum, so he was highly skeptical of her ability to purchase the item she admired. After the sale, the clerk was so attentive and offered to show her more items.

In the Heavenly Realms, you do not need to have a ‘Black American Express’ card to impress our Lord, nor will He respect you more for paying for two over-priced timepieces, Jesus our Lord and Savior extended His unconditional love to even the blind man that was calling out ‘Son of David’.  Jesus respected the widow that placed two coins in the offering plate and he was not impressed with the rich that gave more, because the Widow gave all of what she had.

Our Lord Jesus has endowed His Priceless Gift to those that come to Him and ASK. And His Gift is a Divine Gift and cannot be purchased, traded nor earned by anyone.

Coming to the Lord:

Our Lord shows no preference…

Colossians 2:10 and in Him you have been made complete, and He is the head over all rule and authority; Colossians 2:9-11 (in Context) Colossians 2 (Whole Chapter)

In the Eyes of God, all believers are equal; no one is greater than any other. Our Lord shows no preference.  You are equally bought with His Blood of Atonement.  You have His Grace and You are an Heir with Jesus to His Kingdom.  Yes, all those that know Him can claim this in His Holy Name. What a Privilege He gave us.

Conclusion:  The Priceless Gift of His Salvation by His Grace can make each of us complete in Him; and when we accept His Priceless Gift, we receive His SEAL that now imparts His Holy Spirit in us.  Therefore, in FAITH come to Jesus and be appointed as ‘Joint-Heir’ through Christ to his Kingdom.

Prayer: Heavenly Father in Jesus we come… Lord Jesus be with us all today as we thank You Lord for our many Visitors, Lord let Your providence flow to each of us as we go in Faith. Lord we thank You for Your Divine Grace and we thank you Lord for Your Redemption as we declare Victory in You Lord Jesus… To You Jesus Messiah, be the power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen.

Devotionals for Saturday October 15, 2016

Topic:     Finding Green Pastures… There is a ‘Secret Garden’ and it is the most peaceful place to be.

What is synonymous with Green Pastures, Cattle, Sheep, cows and Shepherds.  Shepherds are also synonymous with ‘Good-News’ and sometimes just News of coming event.

Among the Shepherds mentioned in the Bible are:  Abel, Abraham, Lot, Isaac, Jacob, Rachel, Laban, Jacob's twelve sons, Moses, David, Mesha-- King of Moab (Jordan), Doeg, (Saul’s chief Shepherd), Amos, the shepherds who came to honor Yeshua /Jesus.

Shepherds were prohibited from entering the Temples because they were considered ‘unclean’ as they have touched animals that died.  Because of they being denied the privilege of worshipping in the Temples, God made them bearers of Good News and through them did bring warnings and even destroyed the enemies.  They were given a place of prominence among their peers.

The Shepherd boy who would be King was David, who was among the most prominent of all Shepherds.

The scenery of a Green-Pasture in our minds is a tranquil place. When you are in the hustle and bustle of the city, surrounded by cars, trucks and everyone trying to get ahead, crowds of people and stuck in traffic, thinking of that ‘Green-Pastures’ with a flock of sheep and cows in pastures can be a calming effect.

Many leaves the countryside to the city, and as they retire, the ideal place is to be on a farm with a tranquil setting.

God through His Son Jesus our Redeemer prepared a ‘Secret-Garden ‘, for each of us.  This Garden is His reassurance that He loves you…

Good News: The Restored Eden is a place that eyes have not seen nor can we imagine the beauty of what Jesus described as “Paradise”

Commentary:  What do you consider a place of beauty? As they say ‘beauty’ in in the eyes of the beholder.

To some, Time Square, (New York) is a place of beauty, but it is really a place of bustle.  To some a nice oceanfront apartment or to another a little farmhouse by a river, sustainability is the key that will make any of the places a place of beauty. What good is the best view but it is not affordable.  In real life a beautiful condominium overlooking Central Park would be great, but the rent is ten times what anyone can afford.

Genesis 2: 16 And the LORD God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; 17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.” >>>>        because HIS words are powerful he had to COME, not ‘SENT’ as we were taught that He ‘Sent his Son’ yes; there is a Holy Trinity as He said, that his father sent him, and “I am the way the truth and Life…

John 14:6 KJV

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me”

In God’s equation He has prepared a place that will be far more beautiful that Central Park and it is fully Paid and deeded to you as he said, I go to prepare a place for you… John 14:2

In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

John 14:1-3 (in Context) John 14 (Whole Chapter)

Remember that our Salvation is by Grace alone, our faith cannot save us.  Faith can be misplaced; a pilot flying could develop a feeling based on his own instinct ignoring the instrument that is telling him the correct reading.  Our instinct cannot be relied on, so when God gave us self-determination, He also allowed for our ’Human-errors’ factor. So he made an over-riding Safety provision that is; ‘His Grace’, and once we have found His Grace and using our Faith in believing in His Grace of Salvation then we can never be lost.

Without the Cross there is no Salvation. Because Jesus came for this one purpose to die and to shed His Blood for our Sin. His Resurrection conquered death… We have to refocus as the real meaning of Christmas which has been lost due to the mass commercialization of Christmas as a ‘Shopping Season.

Christianity has been ‘domesticated’ to make one ‘comfortable’ so the message is always… God loves you, without telling the consequences of sin. The message of the love of Christ is always good, but the message that God is also a God of a consuming fire… is often left out of the message.

Deuteronomy 4:24

For the Lord your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God.

Deuteronomy 4:23-25 (in Context) Deuteronomy 4 (Whole Chapter) Other Translations

Deuteronomy 9:3

Therefore, understand today that the Lord your God is He who goes over before you as a consuming fire. He will destroy them and bring them down before you; so you shall drive them out and destroy them quickly, as the Lord has said to you.

VICTORY:  1 John 5:3-4 New King James Version (NKJV)

For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.

Ephesians 2:8-9 New King James Version (NKJV)

8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.

Romans 10:13 New King James Version (NKJV)

13 For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Romans 8:28-29 New King James Version (NKJV)

28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. 29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Deuteronomy 28:13

And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them.

Conclusion: The Followers of Jesus gave their lives for the Gospel, Why? Because they knew His Resurrection was TRUE…

The book of ACTS is about The Holy Spirit and the Disciples, as we see that Christ gave them the Holy Spirit that empowered them with the Power to Heal, and to Proclaim Him with Authority and be Fearless, they did this as they were filled with His Holy Spirit, “The Comforter” that HE said He would send after He ascended into Heaven.

Today we can boldly come to Jesus our High Priest as our Sovereign God, as he said “It is Finished” and the Temple Veil was torn, and by His Blood we are saved as He, Jesus is our Intercessor and our Mediator and He will never leave us not forsake us.

Accept His Invitation today; come to our Lord as He is willing to accept you just as you are…

Pray:  Heavenly Father in Jesus our Redeemer we come knowing that You are on the Throne of Righteousness and through You Lord Jesus we are Redeemed as we come with a contrite heart seeking Your Forgiveness, Lord we thank you for Your Saving Grace and we ask Your Divine Blessings on our Visitors as we give You our Praises and to You Lord Jesus is the Power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen.

Lord Jesus we thank You for this privilege and we thank You for our Visitors and we seek Your Divine blessing upon us all, in Your Holy Name we pray… Amen.

Devotionals for Friday October 14, 2016

Topic:    Withholding from the Lord can be dangerous and all things are His, you are just a guardian…

Focus:    Choose Joy Lane because it will outlast the big-money lane…Wealth diminishes but the Love of God is forever

Big-Money Lane will meet your obligations and more… but “Big” will eventually be smaller and then smaller till it is really small, unless you have a sustainable plan.  A few days ago we spoke of the lost ‘icons’ of which the outstanding one would be Kodak® a former household name around the world… the motto of ‘a Kodak moment’ meant taking a photo to remember.  While this company was the world leader in photography that gave generations after generations from the Kodak-Brownie Box camera to the world’s fastest color film, and yet they lost the leadership in the industry.

The irony of Kodak’s demise as an industry leader is that they invented the Digital Photography that is today’s standard of photography…

TEXT:

Many Charitable foundations are receiving donations and giving just a fraction to the purpose of the fund-raising…

Proverbs 13:11 New International Version (NIV)

11 Dishonest money dwindles away,
but whoever gathers money little by little makes it grow.

Proverbs 18:11

The rich man's wealth is his strong city, and as a high wall is his own conceit. In Context | Full Chapter |

Principle:  Wealth gained by intent to use against your fellowmen, to be self-serving will soon be lost…

Ecclesiastes 6:2  NKJV

A man to whom God hath given riches, wealth, and honour, so that he wanteth nothing for his soul of all that he desireth, yet God giveth him not power to eat thereof, but a stranger eateth it: this is vanity, and it is an evil disease.

In Context | Full Chapter | Other Translations

Wealth received by the Grace of God’s Providence to be used for God’s purpose in one’s life will be sustained and the fruits of the endeavors will be in abundance as a good stewardship is like a tree planted by the river.

Ecclesiastes 5:19

Every man also to whom God hath given riches and wealth, and hath given him power to eat thereof, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labor; this is the gift of God. In Context | Full Chapter | Other Translations

So choose Jesus and the ‘Big-Money’ Lane will be revealed so that you can use the fruits of the endeavors to further the Mission for what you have as a custodian for His Glory.

Remember the prodigal son, while he still had money he had a lot of friends, but when he had squandered it all the text here says it all…

Proverbs 19:4 New International Version (NIV)

Wealth attracts many friends, but even the closest friend of the poor person deserts them.

Commentary:

Be a good steward of money, but also a good steward of your time.  Use your time to do as He commanded, to bring the Good News to the ends of the earth…

We spend 1/3 of our lives sleeping and the rest of the time awake.  We probably spend the remaining 2/3 learning if we are students, or working if we are adults.

Jesus said… John 10:10 New King James Version (NKJV)

10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

His Promise: 2 Peter 1:4 New International Version (NIV)

Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.

His Faithfulness:

Jesus is our Protector, our Redeemer, our Intercessor and above all He Redeemed us by His Blood.  Why is ‘Blood’ important in a Sacrifice? Because …

Hebrews 9:7  New International Version (NIV)

But only the high priest entered the inner room, and that only once a year, and never without blood, which he offered for himself and for the sins the people had committed in ignorance.

Prayer: Heavenly Father in Jesus our Sovereign Eternal God in One of Your Holy Trinity we come. Lord Jesus as we stand before the empty cross Lord, we acknowledge that You are on the Throne of Righteousness and Interceding for us Lord. Thank You Lord Jesus for Your Grace and Your Priceless Gift of Redemption.  Thank You Lord for the opportunity of serving You Lord; and thank You for our Visitors, grants Your blessing on each. Lord bless this day and let it be a day filled with your Peace as we ask Your blessing on us all and Your favors to our Visitors. Lord Jesus to you is the Power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen.

Devotionals for Thursday October 13, 2016

Focus:   Never lay a trap… is can be a snare for the one that places the trap.

In the book of Ester, there was a plot to kill the Jews…

Esther 3 - Haman's Plot to Destroy the Jews - Bible Gateway

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Esther+3

3 After these events, King Xerxes honored Haman son of Hammedatha, the Agagite, elevating him and giving him a seat of honor higher than that of all the other nobles. ... Instead Haman looked for a way to destroy all Mordecai’s people, the Jews, throughout the whole kingdom of.

Esther 7 NKJV - Haman Hanged Instead of Mordecai - So - Bible ...

7 So the king and Haman went to dine with Queen Esther. And on the second day, at the banquet of wine, the king again said to Esther, “What is your petition, Queen Esther? ... So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai.

The Plot:

Esther 5:14

His wife Zeresh and all his friends said to him, “Have a pole set up, reaching to a height of fifty cubits, and ask the king in the morning to have Mordecai impaled on it. Then go with the king to the banquet and enjoy yourself.” This suggestion delighted Haman, and he had the pole set up. In Context | Full Chapter

Esther 6:2

It was found recorded there that Mordecai had exposed Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king’s officers who guarded the doorway, who had conspired to assassinate King Xerxes.  In Context | Full Chapter |

Esther 2:21

During the time Mordecai was sitting at the king’s gate, Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king’s officers who guarded the doorway, became angry and conspired to assassinate King Xerxes. In Context | Full Chapter

Esther 2:22

But Mordecai found out about the plot and told Queen Esther, who in turn reported it to the king, giving credit to Mordecai. In Context | Full Chapter |

Esther 7:9

Then Harbona, one of the eunuchs attending the king, said, “A pole reaching to a height of fifty cubits stands by Haman’s house. He had it set up for Mordecai, who spoke up to help the king.” The king said, “Impale him on it!” In Context | Full Chapter | Other Translations

Esther 7:10

So they impaled Haman on the pole he had set up for Mordecai. Then the king’s fury subsided.

Today as we see the lying and cheating and other offenses in the political arenas, the event of Haman laying a trap surely gives us some insight of how the Lord will deal with the offenders. Vengeance is of the Lord… so let us sit back and just know that God is God and He will do what’s right.

Sinners do repent, and their repentance are accepted as the Lord sees

the heart and knows the sincerity of the one that truly repents.  Just as the thief on the Cross to whom Jesus said… ‘Today you will be with me in Paradise’.

Luke 23:43

And Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.” In Context | Full Chapter |

Paradise is not found here on earth… It was here and it is lost; Eden the place of total solace and purity was taken away as God placed it out of our reach. This is the ‘Matrix’ (where it all began).  In today’s thinking the

‘Matrix’ is referring to a simulated reality, and in mathematics it is an array of numbers arranged in columns.

Genesis 3:24

After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life. In Context | Full Chapter |

God’s Kingdom is not a Matrix; it is a reality that is the final ‘Promised-Land’ as the final ‘Passover’ is already underway…

1 Corinthians 5:7

Get rid of the old yeast, so that you may be a new unleavened batch—as you really are. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed. In Context | Full Chapter |

Eden Restored:

Revelation 1:5 and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood,

In Context | Full Chapter |

Revelation 22:1

Eden Restored] Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb. In Context | Full Chapter |

Cleansed by the Blood is an action of purification done by the High Priest before coming to God.  This is an old tradition done inside what is called the Inner-Sanctum of the Temple.  Jesus said “It-is Finished” and the dividing curtain (Wall) of the Temple was torn revealing Him as our ‘High-Priest’ why? Because His Blood was shed for all, and all that come to Him and accept Him; His Blood becomes His SEAL of Redemption, this is the ‘PAID-IN-FULL” Stamp that He purchased us and we are now aboard with Him and is Heaven bound.

Does this mean that because Jesus died and His blood was shed for us all, and by His action we are ‘automatically’ saved? NO! The parallel is: If someone comes to the door of your house and offer you a pot of Gold but you did not take it, so this person moves on, what happened? You just lost your opportunity.  While the Priceless Gift of Salvation through Jesus is free, unless you accept it you cannot possesses it.

You cannot earn it, purchase it or work your way to get it. It is only by His Grace that we can receive His gift, and it is only in Faith that you can come to Him.

When we commemorate the Crucifixion of Jesus ‘The Christ’ at Calvary, we need to know that Jesus was not a new kid on the block… This same Jesus is the Yeshua/Yahweh who walked with Adam in Eden. but He had to come to Redeem us as Adam sinned and this sin was transferred down to all that came after Adam.

Therefore, you me and everyone are descendants of this man Adam, but nothing surprised our God, and He made a provision for us to be Redeemed. Why did God go to this extent to Redeem us? Because we are His creation, and of all His creations, when He created Man, He said ‘This is good’ and he loved us, and he still loves us.

Principle:  Eden Restored will be a place like no other, as described in Revelations, its wall was like Jasper and like glass made of Gold… Revelation 21:18 The wall was made of jasper, and the city of pure gold, as pure as glass.

Revelation 21:17-19 (in Context) Revelation 21 (Whole Chapter)

Prayer: Heavenly Father in Jesus we come. Lord Jesus thank You for Your Divine Redemption, and by Your Grace we have Victory in You. Lord Your Unconditional Love is overwhelming as we stand in Awe of what you have in store for us. Thank Your Lord for the privilege of bringing Your Good News and for our Visitors, Lord bless us all and grant Your Favors to all that call on Your Holy Name Lord Jesus. We pray in Your Matchless Name Lord Jesus our Sovereign Eternal God in one of The Father, Son and Holy Spirit Your Divine Trinity, to you is the Power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen.

Devotionals for Wednesday October 12, 2016

Topic:    What is considered a life well accomplished? Is it being wealthy? Read about Job …

Focus:  Job in the book of JOB, he could be considered the wealthiest man of his time.  While Job was a very rich and contented man, somethings were not in order.  But in spite of his wealth he was chosen by the devil as a target and God did allow him to suffer many setbacks, his families, his cattle, his health.  In spite of the travesties that he experienced one thing Job never lost was his faith in God.

Diamonds are found in the rough, gold is found with impurities and water flows through rocks filtered to become pristine. So Job was tried and tested, he was like fine gold after being purified. As at the lowest point of his life, he said…

” I know that my redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand on the earth”. Job 19:25 In Context | Full Chapter |

Today as we all face challenges, let us remember one thing… Be still and know that He is God,

Psalm 46:10 [Full Chapter]

He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”

Because Jesus is Lord and God in One of the Holy Spirit, we are so thankful for His care, His love,  His Graciousness, and His Redemption.

Imagine the Lord said… John 15:15

I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.

In Context | Full Chapter |

Knowing you have a friend is counted as a blessing, but knowing Jesus is your friend, let us make Him our ‘Best-Friend’ knowing that His friendship is eternal.

What we consider to be a life well accomplished is really based on what our Lord has provided, and even when it is stolen or lost, He Restores!

One thing no one can ever steal from you is the Love of Christ and His Faithfulness as he said in the above Text, “l no longer calls you a servant” Because in Christ we have His Redemption and are counted as Victor and not a victim.

Devotional:

Heavenly Father because no one has ever seen You except Your Son and Jesus our Lord and Savior we adore You knowing that You are one with the Father in His Holy Spirit. Today we are able to say that You our Redeemer Lives!

Coming to the Lord:

Lord we come to You knowing that You have shared with us Your Goodness and Mercy; Compassion and Grace, Love and Faithfulness, Lord in spite of our wayward ways yet You Lord is slow to anger… So Lord we extend to others Your Attributes, because You God has been merciful to us, so we too must show mercy and to You Lord Jesus is the Glory.

EVENING:   Good News -His Faithfulness:

The ‘Prince of Prophets’ ISAIAH foretold the Birth of our Lord and Savior over 700 Years before Christ was Born, so almost over 2,728 years ago the Prophet Isaiah… said; Therefore, the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel. Isaiah 7:14 NKJV

Conclusion:  Prayer is the cornerstone of our Faith… like Moses we should bring everything to the Father, Moses was the ‘Mediator’ for his people, now Jesus who is our High-Priest and is God among US… Because Jesus is Emanuel, Jesus is the only Mediator between man and God.  So we always pray in His Holy Name, and our Lord Jesus is not a 3rd party in our prayers because he is always in the Midst where two or more are gathered in His Name.

Prayer: Heavenly Father in Jesus our Lord and Savior we come… Lord Jesus because You Lord is our only Mediator between us and the Father, we thank You for Your Righteousness and we Praise You and give You the Glory.  Lord we thank You for this privilege of coming and be presented to the Father, Lord Jesus we go in Faith knowing that You our Redeemer Lives and we can boldly say that we have Victory in You Lord.  We thank You for our Visitors and we seek Your Divine Providence on us all and we forgive those who trespassed against us Lord, we pray in Your Holy Name Lord Jesus and to You is the Power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen.

Devotionals for Tuesday October 11, 2016

Topic:     Never settle for 2nd best, as there is no ‘2ndBest’ …

Das Beste oder nichts… This is the slogan for Daimler-Benz marketing the Mercedes Benz cars… “the Best or Nothing”

In the Heavenly realms there will be no 2nd best, Jesus made this quite clear by outlining the One-Criterion… You Must Be Born-Again…

John 3 [Full Chapter]

The New Birth] There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.” Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” ...

Being Born again is not a phrase, it is a ‘transformation’ by receiving Christ in Faith believing that He is able to save you. One may say save from what?  As one of the most popular slogans today…” No one is perfect” so if you have to be ‘Perfect’ to enter God’s Kingdom, then no one will enter on their own.  This so true, but Jesus made a way for us to be ‘perfect’ and this is through His Redeeming blood…

We often times mention the final ‘Passover’ and as we reflect on the first Passover when the Israelites were told to mark their door post with the blood of the lamb to protect them from the angel of death as it passes over their houses.  The Crucifixion and Resurrection is what Jesus has provided for you and us for the final ‘Passover’.

2 Peter 3:10 [ The Day of the Lord] But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. In Context | Full Chapter |

Today we urge you to be prepared and by doing this… Come and know Him today… It is a privilege you cannot afford to miss.

Deuteronomy 28:13  And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them. In Context | Full Chapter |

Devotionals for Monday October 10, 2016

Topic:    Things do change…  Change for the better is what’s in your future, as the Best is Yet to come.

Consider your combination of circumstances at this given moment, and you state of affairs…  How would you like it to be changed?  Remember that ‘the grass is always greener on the other side’…

avoid the reflection of the bigger bone, read more…

TEXT: 1 Peter 5:10

New King James Version (NKJV)

10 But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.

Principle: Jesus came that we may have life and have it more abundantly, here and in the world to come.

Count our blessings… This is a story of a man in London, on his way home he was passing a lonely house, and a voice said enter the house… he tried to suppress his inner voice, but he went inside this dimly lit house, there were several children kneeling around their mother crying almost passionately. “Mother we want something to eat! Mother, Mother give us some bread!”  The mother sat there, pale and worn, her eyes filled with tears. In despair she held her hands to her head and cried; O God in heaven, how can you look down on this scene? O God, do help the poor children! O God, I believe you no longer answer prayer!”. At that moment the gentleman entered the room and said with a loud voice, “Dear woman God can still hear!” He has heard you and has sent me, within the hour your hunger will be satisfied” The mother and the children were dumfounded. Then the biggest basket was brought from the butcher’s and the grocer’s and the dairy. The woman told of how her husband left them and she had nothing. Yes, God answers prayer, even today.

So often we are in a position that we would trade where we are for another place just because the ‘Grass is Greener on the other side; it is like the dog that went to the pond with his bone and saw a bigger bone in the reflection, not knowing it was just a reflection, he grabbed for that bone only to lose his bone, ‘this is the dog in Aesop's fable.'

Many of us have so much to be Thankful for… and while we are comfortable and well provided for, let us remember those in need. For when our Lord will say… well done good and faithful servant, and we must remember helping those in need is a privilege.

His Promise / His Faithfulness:

Action/Coming to our Lord:

Psalm 55:22 New King James Version (NKJV)

22 Cast your burden on the Lord, And He shall sustain you;

Heavenly Father in Jesus our Lord and savior we come.  Lord Jesus we come to Praise You for your Eminence and Your Graciousness and affirm that You Are Eternal; after Your advent coming as a Man to Redeem us, Lord we acknowledge that in You dwell the fullness of the Godhead, and through You Lord Jesus we are complete in You and You are the head of all principality and power.  Lord today we are anxious for nothing as in You We Rejoice and to You we give thanks. Devotionals for Sunday October 9, 2016

Focus: Have you made a request to the Lord and it was granted, but you did not claim it.

Mark 11:24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

Sometimes a request may not be granted, why?

James 4:3 New International Version (NIV)

When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.

An example of God’s Gift and Privileges that were granted but remained unclaimed…

Exodus 14:15

Then the Lord said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelites to move on. In Context | Full Chapter |

Today as we too are journeying to the ‘Promised Land’ which is His Kingdom, a far better place than Canaan, If you have asked the Lord to lead you and have received Him, then your request has been granted…

Romans 8:17

and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together. In Context | Full Chapter |

Romans 8: 31-39

More Than Conquerors

31 What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? 33 Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34 Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36 As it is written:

“For your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”

37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers,39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

You are a beneficiary of the greatest Gift and a live of abundance…

John 10:10

Jesus said…. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. In Context | Full Chapter |

Notice the descriptive use of abundantly was enhanced by ‘More’… Abundant already is a state of more than enough, so to be ‘More-Abundantly’ this is a double portion.  No the Lord is not giving us more than we need to be in an ‘excess’ state, He was referring to the double-portion of life.

It is the eternal lasting life that He provides through His Redemption. He said “I have come” but His presence is not what he was referring to… When He said

John 2:19

Jesus answered and said to them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” In Context | Full Chapter |

Mark 14:58

“We heard Him say, ‘I will destroy this temple made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands.’ In Context | Full Chapter |

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 [Full Chapter]

Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore, glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.

We are all His prized-possessions…

Devotionals for Saturday October 8,2016

Topic:    Is there something with you name on it and you need to claim it? Get it now…

Thoughts for the Day:     What is irreplaceable in your life, what is the most precious thing that you possess?

TOPIC: What is more valuable than Gold?

Good News: The Genuineness of your Faith….

TEXT: 1 Peter 1:7  that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ,

1 Peter 1:6-8 (in Context) 1 Peter 1 (Whole Chapter)

Commentary: One could say that the most precious thing in our life is life itself.  This could be the most precious thing we possess, but what is life? It is just a vapor… James 4:14

Whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. James 4:13-15 (in Context) James 4 (Whole Chapter)

The famous comedian Rodney Dangerfield once said, “I am so old so I do not buy green bananas” But Jesus said… “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing” John 15: 5 NKJV

Today we have the assurance of the faithfulness of our Lord… “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God”.  Philippians 15: 5

Because God loved us so much that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life… John 3: 16

His Promise:

John 14: 1-3 New King James Version (NKJV)

The Way, the Truth, and the Life

14 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know.”

You are complete in Christ, knowing that Jesus is that precious Pearl that Bible revealed…

Matthew 13:46

Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it.

Matthew 13:45-47 (in Context) Matthew 13 (Whole Chapter)

Considering that around the time when Jesus made this statement which could be in the year 0030, making this 1,986 years ago, the Oysters producing Pearls would be gigantic.  This probably placed Pearls in a valuable category; thus, Jesus used this in His parable.

Today Gold is considered more precious than Pearls, back then when Jesus used Pearl as an analogy we should remember that Gold was used extensively in embellishing Building such as Temples, this being one of the reason why the Roman empire destroyed the temple to get the Gold around 70 AD.

To today above all these earthly materialistic possessions, the Life that you have under the Grace of our Lord Jesus is your most valuable possession.

Jesus makes us complete:  We are saved by Grace...

Ephesians 2:8-9

Good News Translation (GNT)

8-9 For it is by God's grace that you have been saved through faith. It is not the result of your own efforts, but God's gift, so that no one can boast about it.

Doctrine is a set of rules, and practicing doctrine is almost bordering on Superstition.  Superstition is often dismissed as ‘Old Wives’ tale’ yet in the human trait.

Doctrine could be construed as living under the Law and not governed by the Grace of our Lord.  There is a fine line here… Some living by doctrine thinks that their quest to be righteous is paramount that will assure them of salvation.

Galatians 2:21 Good News Translation (GNT)

21 I refuse to reject the grace of God. But if a person is put right with God through the Law, it means that Christ died for nothing!

  1. All have sinned and come short of the Glory of God…
  2. We cannot say we are without sin
  3. If we do we make a liar of our Lord Jesus
  4. We cannot earn our way to His Kingdom
  5. No one comes to the Father unless through Jesus
  6. We are saved by Grace and not of anything we do.

If we could live by the law and be Holy, then Christ died In-Vain.  If anyone could get to Heaven on their own accord, then Heaven would not be a place where I would want to be, as there would be those that boasts about their achievements, and how good they are. This is what our Lord said… “You Must be Born-Again” and being Born-Again, we are a new Creation.   If we think we will be in Heaven acting like our old self, then life will be just the same drudgery of a constant battle against the forces of evil.

This is why our Lord said, we will be ‘Transformed’ and also Sanctified… “Without Sin, in a place where there is no Sin, it is a place of Splendor filled with the presence of our Lord Jesus that radiates His Joy in a place He called Paradise.

EVENING:

Let us serve our Lord by honoring Him and know that He is God…

We are privileged to be:

Salt & Light (Jesus said we you are the salt of the earth)

  • We are bridge builders
  • Do not be assimilated into the worldly lifestyle
  • Be not be motivated by fear but be motivated by Grace
  • To withdraw is to accept defeat and live for self and this is not what Christ commanded
  • Christ came and dwelt among sinners
  • Building bridge requires to be affirmed with Christ
  • Religion is not salvation; why do we worship? It is to praise our Creator who is God our Redeemer
  • To be an overcomer we must be engaged and defeat the enemy
  • The stoic believed knowledge was the key, His Grace is the whole thing, more than just a key.

Accept His Invitation today; come to our Lord as He is willing to accept you just as you are…

Pray:  Heavenly Father in Jesus our Redeemer we come knowing that You are on the Throne of Righteousness and through You Lord Jesus we can be Redeemed as we come with a contrite heart seeking Your Forgiveness, Lord we thank you for Your Saving Grace and the many Visitors that we are privileged to serve for Your Glory, we give You our Praises and to You Lord Jesus is the Power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen.

Devotionals for Friday October 7th, 2016

Topic:    The patience of the Almighty, His unconditional love, He wants to save you…

Can a human being see God and live?

TEXT: Exodus 33:20-23 New King James Version (NKJV)

20 But He said, “You cannot see My face; for no man shall see Me, and live.”21 And the Lord said, “Here is a place by Me, and you shall stand on the rock.22 So it shall be, while My glory passes by, that I will put you in the cleft of the rock, and will cover you with My hand while I pass by. 23 Then I will take away My hand, and you shall see My back; but My face shall not be seen.”

Focus:    Moses made three requests to God: while Moses was alone with God for 40 days on the mountain, Moses made three requests;

First Request:     Moses asked that he might know God,

2nd Request:         Moses asked God to keep His promise of giving the land that God had promised

3rd Request:         Moses asked for the ‘Greatest-Gift’ of all, Moses asked that God would show him His Glory.

God revealed His Name to Moses… Clearly it is the name Yahweh… Jehovah.  The Lord is Eternal and self-sufficient, as He is uniquely God, and He God the Son and the Holy Spirit Are Eternal, without beginning or end.

The ‘Prince of Prophets’ ISAIAH foretold the Birth of our Lord and Savior over 700 Years before Christ was Born, so almost over 2,726 years ago the Prophet Isaiah… said; Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.

Topic:    Spreading His fragrance… You will be immersed in goodness…

Find the mission for yourself and spread the Fragrance of God as you will receive his fragrance too

Praying to the Lord is the Most-Important Meeting we can have in our daily lives…

All other things we do are secondary, as only our Lord Can Divinely prepare us for the day, He can smooth our tasks, inspire us, give us His Blessings, and by His Grace we can cope with all aspects of life’s responsibilities.

Now this is the confidence that we have in Him (Jesus) that if we ask anything according to His will. He will hear us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.  From: 1 John 5: 14-15 NKJV

Text:  Matthew 6: 7-8 NIV

Jesus taught us how to pray

7 And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. 8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

Commentary:

  • The contents of the Holy Bible are as fresh as the News Headlines of today… The Bible spoke of the daily events today. Illegal campaign contributions, fund-raising in the form of a charitable foundation that benefit mostly the organizers.  This is blatant Cronyism and abuse of public offices.

Acts 5 New King James Version (NKJV)

Lying to the Holy Spirit

But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession. And he kept back part of the proceeds, his wife also being aware of it, and brought a certain part and laid it at the apostles’ feet. But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself? While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was sold, was it not in your own control? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God.”

Then Ananias, hearing these words, fell down and breathed his last. So great fear came upon all those who heard these things. And the young men arose and wrapped him up, carried him out, and buried him.

Now it was about three hours later when his wife came in, not knowing what had happened. And Peter answered her, “Tell me whether you sold the land for so much?”

She said, “Yes, for so much.”

Then Peter said to her, “How is it that you have agreed together to test the Spirit of the Lord? Look, the feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out.” 10 Then immediately she fell down at his feet and breathed her last. And the young men came in and found her dead, and carrying her out, buried he by her husband. 11 So great fear came upon all the church and upon all who heard these things.

Identity Theft is not new… this is a rampant crime in the world… Here is a fine example when mocking the Lord and the result of such deceptive actions.

TEXT:     2 Peter 2 [Full Chapter]

[Destructive Doctrines] But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed. By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a longtime their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber. ...

Acts 13:6

Now when they had gone through the island to Paphos, they found a certain sorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew whose name was Bar-Jesus, In Context | Full Chapter |

Acts 19:

Miracles Glorify Christ

11 Now God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul, 12 so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them.

We see that even the evil-spirit can discern when someone is using a stolen identity…

13 Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists took it upon themselves to call the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, “We exorcise you by the Jesus whom Paul preaches.” 14 Also there were seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, who did so.

15 And the evil spirit answered and said, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?”

16 Then the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, overpowered them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.

Conclusion:

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundant above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.  from Ephesians 3:20 NKJV  When we serve others by spreading the Good News, we are sprinkling the Fragrance of our Lord Jesus, and we also get the sweet smelling fragrance on ourselves… meaning that we are privileged to be a Vessel bearing the sweet smell of our Lord and Redeemer, and while we spread His Fragrance our Lord also blesses us with His Grace…2 Corinthians 2:15  New King James Version (NKJV) 15 For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing.

  6. Thanks Giving     Give Thanks and acknowledge in Faith that whatever we Ask or Think He said He will do

Thought for today… The Power of Prayer… Prayer is the source of Power given to us by our Lord to seek HIM.
Thoughts for today… Do not throwaway today by fretting about tomorrow, The Bible said Fret not.

Prayer: Heavenly Father we come in Your Holy Presence as Jesus our Redeemer, God in One with Your Holy Spirt. We thank You, and Lord Jesus we give You our Praise as You Redeemed all who called upon You Name.  Lord today we thank you for our Visitors and we seek Your Divine providence upon all, and to you Lord Jesus is the Power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen.

Devotionals for Wednesday October 5th, 2016

Topic:     Let your thoughts, your words, your belief be enabled by the Lord.

Do not speak what you do not want.  We are not superstitious…  but the use of word is an important and powerful tool. We must refrain from jesting and idle talk.  No, you don’t have to be a boring person.  In the west we say the day will be lousy because it will be raining, in the east they say “what a beautiful shower”

1 Timothy 1:6

from which some, having strayed, have turned aside to idle talk, In Context | Full Chapter | Other Translations

We mentioned our attitude of being cut off and missing the green light ahead, but it was a good thing that you were cut off and missed the light as a semi-truck ran the light, and not being cut off you would be harm’s way. So today we are taking the approach of not sweating the ‘Small-stuffs’   Focus on the Doughnut and not on the hole.  The best is yet to come to those who loves the Lord.

Romans 8: 28-39

28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. 29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.

God’s Everlasting Love

31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare His Own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?33 Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written:

“For Your sake we are killed all day long;
We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”

37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Psalm 111:10

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all those who do His commandments. His praise endures forever. In Context | Full Chapter |

Proverbs 9:10

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

In Context | Full Chapter |

Commentary:

Wisdom could be considered more valuable than gold, it is said that the person with the gold makes the ‘golden’ rules. So the rules are from God as all the gold belongs to him, but as we read in Revelation, this precious metal will be used as ‘brick-pavers’ for the street of Heaven.

It is amazing that God trusted us so much that He made us with ‘Free-Will’. God also endowed some of the ‘Poorest’ nation with the most Precious Metal and Gemstones, and the people of these nations continue in poverty because of the exploitation of their resources by fellowmen.   This why we have ‘Blood-Diamond’, ‘Jungle Gold’ and still the greed goes on...

God provided these to be used for Joy and to share among mankind, but as we see Diamonds are used to fuel war and conflicts.

Without God all is lost, the Bible said, when the Gospel is preached in all the land then shall the end comes.

Matthew 24:14

And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come. In Context | Full Chapter |

  • God blesses His living beings

Prayer: Father we come in Jesus our Redeemer and our Sovereign Eternal God in One of Your Holy Trinity, Lord Jesus in awe we come knowing that all things were created by You as The Father Spoke and You acted in His Holy Spirit. Lord today we come to You seeking Your Divine Blessings and Your guidance, as we say that Your Hands are ‘Over’ us as You Lord do not need help, so we place all things in Your Hands and look to You knowing that all things are possible for those who trust in You Lord. Lord Your Unconditional love abounds in what You have created for mankind, Lord today let us be good-stewards of Your mission and bless our Visitors coming to this Website. We pray in Your Precious Name Lord Jesus, to You are the Power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen.

Tuesday October 4th, 2016

Topic:    Who do you know that may need your help today? Are you able to do this?

That person you are thinking of may be financially challenged, or it could be one of your richer friends, but ‘poor’ in spirit.  Your rich friend may need your help as well as your financially challenged friend.

Just imagine if you could instill in your rich friend that… ‘it is better to give than to receive’ and imagine that you get your rich friend to help your other friend that could use some financial assistance, what a perfect outcome of your assistance to both.  Of course this scenario is just wishful thinking…

Jesus is not only calling you, He is knocking at your door…

Text: Revelation 3:20

Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.  Revelation 3:19-21 (in Context) Revelation 3 (Whole Chapter)

Commentary: Behold my Jesus stands at the door and knock. While He can enter without opening the door, but He is calling me to receive Him, and His mission is to bring me Joy, as he said as I stand at the door and know and if I answers, He will come in and dine with me.  What a privilege this would be to sit at a table set by my Lord and to be just like when He sat at dinner with the disciples.

Just think how Jesus would bring me great news of what he has prepared for me and to give me insight of what to come? I can imagine that the table setting would be with delicacies of fruits, nectars, fishes, meat and bread.  I can imagine how He would pray over the setting and thank His Father and then feast with me as He prepared only the best.

Yes, my Jesus has been at my door and He came because He wants to give me Peace, Joy, Hope, His Love, His care and His plan for my life.

Today as I gather with all my friends and families, I will Thank Him and Praise Him for His Graciousness knowing that it is only by His Grace that I am saved and journeying to His Kingdom, where He has prepared a place for me.

Jesus said…” I am not of this world” what did He mean by this statement? No need to wonder about this.  He ascended to Heaven, But He did not abandon us; He said The Holy Spirit would be with us while He went to His Father. The same Holy Spirit that descended on the day of Pentecost where 5,000 came to Jesus through Peter’s telling them the Good News, this Holy Spirit is with us right now.

Jesus said… “For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them”.

Matthew 18: 20.

Jesus said we must have Faith and Faith is a belief in something unseen, He said if we have faith like a grain of mustard see, (which is the size of this. dot) we can move mountains.  Jesus spoke about mountains, and these are ‘mountains’ in our lives... such as: Health, Finances, Families, Relationships and our love for others like ourselves.

We have heard it many times, have faith in God… this is a good saying, but it cannot save us, it is like knowing that the pharmaceutical product that is well known to cure what you may have, you know of it, but you do not have a prescription because you haven’t been to the doctor. The same principle applies you can ‘Know of’ Jesus and you also know that he can save you and give you His Peace, but you haven’t come to Him and introduce yourself to Him and ask Him to give You His Grace. His ‘GRACE’ is what saves.

His Grace is the ‘Gap’ between your acceptance of Him as Your Savior and the time when you enter His Kingdom at which time you will be fully sanctified and free from sin forever.

Now His Grace covers a period which is the ‘Gap’ when you are saved and have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we are still sinners but under Grace, and now that you are saved, Jesus will be your Intercessor, as we now have an advocate with Jesus.  So as an enlightened sinner now redeemed, we are like a ‘recovering alcoholic’ that lives by each day to remain sober, so we as an enlightened sinner will do the same, but we have the Holy Spirit that is now with us.  Remembering that it is not what we do that saves us, it is by the ‘Grace’ of God through His Blood.

Principle: When you know the Lord Jesus He will give you a clean heart, and He will renew your Spirit with a clear mind.

Ephesians 2:8-9 New King James Version (NKJV)

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.

His Promise / His Faithfulness:

And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28 NASB

Action/Coming to our Lord:

1 John 5:14-15

New American Standard Bible (NASB)

14 This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 15 And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him.

Conclusion:

We all know of the 23rd Psalm, The Lord is my Shepherd… We think it should read; I am a sheep in my Lord’s flock, and I shall not want.  While our Lord referred to himself as a Shepherd, we prefer to put this in the context that we are sheep in His flock, why? He is the Owner of the flock, and He cares for us. No, we are not re-writing the Bible Text, but our Lord is the Sovereign Eternal God, and not a ‘Shepherd’ like David who was a shepherd-boy.

So when Jesus knocks, open the door and let Him in, His saying is faithful, and all what is stated in Psalm 23 He will do.

Hebrews 3:15

Topic:    Where will you be when He returns? Are you ready?

Will you be found looking and listening? Or will you be so engrossed with the things of this world that you may not hear the ‘Trumpet’ sound.  The Bible said when Jesus returns He will be seen from the east to the west.

Don’t be too busy to hear the Trumpet sound…

But the Trumpet sound will be before the Day of the Lord….

1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 New King James Version (NKJV)

16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.

The Bible does not mention the word Rapture, but it said…

Mark 13:20

And unless the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake, whom He chose, He shortened the days. In Context | Full Chapter |

The reference to the Robes, this is addressing our Soul, by7 coming to Christ to be washed in His Blood of Atonement…

Revelation 7:14

And I said to him, “Sir, you know.” So he said to me, “These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. In Context | Full Chapter |

It is said that earth is over a billion years old, therefore Yeshua/Jesus who was with the Father at the beginning is Eternal as He said… ‘Before Abraham I was” and the Scriptures affirmed…

John 1 New King James Version (NKJV)

The Eternal Word

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.

This same Jesus will return again…

Colossians 1:15 New King James Version (NKJV)

15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.

2 Peter 3:10 [ The Day of the Lord] But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. In Context | Full Chapter |

Topic:    Do you know a King? Or even better, do you know the One God?

Each of us are closer to royalty than we think. The writer’s experience of being closest to an earthly royalty was to know the father of a queen. His daughter married a King, who was king of a prominent kingdom.

The Royalty mentioned in the Bible is a King and God…

All earthly kingdom will come to an end, but God’s Kingdom is eternal.

Revelation 4:5

And from the throne proceeded lightnings, thunderings, and voices. Seven lamps of fire were burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God. In Context | Full Chapter | Other Translations

The description of the ‘Power’ surrounding the throne of God are not special effects of man, even today Thunder and Lightning instill in men the power of the Almighty.  Recently leaving a shopping center, we had to wait out the severe lighting and thunder and the heavy downpour for almost an hour, and during the time of the downpour the parking lot was flooded to the bottom of the cars.

God sometimes remind us of His Power as Lighting strikes…

The year was 1969 when Steve Marshburn was struck by lightning. He wasn’t out golfing or fishing, he was working inside a bank. Lightning found a path through an underground speaker at the drive-through window and worked its way to the stool where he sat.

"I still have the migraines," Marshburn told NPR. "The lightning – when it hit my back, it went up my spine, went to the left side of my brain and scorched it, came down, went out my right hand that was holding a metal teller stamp."

Which goes to show, lightning is an unruly beast; heard to predict and filled with surprises. And according to the National Weather Service, so far this year lightning strikes have killed at least 20 people in the United States, which is almost double the norm. Behind those strikes are some pretty wild facts. Consider the following:

1. Lightning strikes the United States about 25 million times a year. Although most lightning occurs in the summer, people can be struck at any time of year.

2. The idea of a lightning bolt finding and striking a person directly seems so random, but in fact, most people who were hurt or injured weren’t struck directly. People can fall victim to lightning striking a nearby object when the current jumps, as well as through conduction and ground current.

3. Because ground current strikes affect a much larger area than the other causes of lightning casualties – the current travels over the surface of the ground – this type causes the most lightning deaths and injuries. It's especially bad for livestock.

4. As evidenced by Marshburn’s experience, you don't have to be outside to be harmed by nearby lightning.

5. Brain injuries are the more common injury – rather than burns – from lightning strikes.

6. Lightning strikes can create enduring lifelong discomfort because they cause nerve damage that makes the nerves misfire, which the brain reads as pain.

7. Even though strikes are up this year, the number is much less than in the 1940s when 300 to 400 people died annually. John Jensenius from the National Weather Service explains, "Most homes had corded phones. So a corded phone, when people held it right up to their head, was a direct connection with wires outside." Also, more farmers sitting on open tractors added to the numbers.

8. While people think golfers are at highest risk, between 2006 and 2014, people fishing accounted for more than three times as many deaths as golfers, while camping and boating each were responsible for almost two times as many deaths as golf.

9. During the same period, the majority of victims were male between the ages of 10 to 60; almost two thirds of them were engaged in outdoor leisure activities before being struck.

10. To measure the distance of lightning, count the seconds between flash and thunder and divide by five; the number is how many miles the lightning is from you.

11. During thunderstorms, lightning can strike up to 10 miles away. That distance is when you can just begin to hear thunder, which is why safety experts urge us to go inside as soon as we hear a distant rumble. Many victims have been either heading to safety at the time of the fatal strike or were just steps away from safety.

The picture of serenity, calm-still water of life- A tranquil place of Splendor-His Kingdom:

Revelation 22:1

The River of Life] And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb. In Context | Full Chapter | Other Translations

And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him.

Topic:     Good News, we are making great time, but we are lost…

Once flying with a friend (who was an amateur pilot) we were making great time, but headed towards the wrong destination.

In business we also experienced the similar circumstances.  Generating a lot of cash but selling the product at below cost is one may of confirming… Good News and Bad news, the good news we have a lot of cash but the bad news we lost money on the sales.

In Church could this experience of joining in all the praise and listening to the message with all the appearance of a faithful follower of Christ, but not having a personal relationship with the Almighty. We can give the right impression, but God will not be mocked… He wants a close walk with you as He said “follow me” Just as how He called Matthew who was at his Tax collection station.  Matthew left his post and joined Jesus.

As we read the first book of the New Testament written by Matthew. This is an important book as it broke the ‘Silence’ of the Word… the 400 years between the end of the Old Testament and the beginning of Christ’s Ministry.

During Jesus’ ministry He called those that would serve His mission. One could say that He chose Matthew as Matthew was a good record keeper. We see the call of Saul, and the event of how Saul was called on the road to Damascus, it was more like a lightning strike… that blinded Saul.  Again Saul was chosen and was inspired through God’s transformation, and as Paul he wrote and proclaimed the Salvation of the Lord.

Shall we also say “Lord send me” I am ready to serve?  You may say I am not qualified, so did Moses who said to God…

Exodus 4:10

Then Moses said to the Lord, “O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither before nor since You have spoken to Your servant; but I am slow of speech and slow of tongue.” In Context | Full Chapter |

God enabled Moses…

Exodus 4:3

And He said, “Cast it on the ground.” So he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from it.

Exodus 4:4

Then the Lord said to Moses, “Reach out your hand and take it by the tail” (and he reached out his hand and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand), In Context | Full Chapter | Other Translations

The Lord may never give any of us the powers given to Moses, but we are called…

1 Peter 2:9

Now that you are enlightened about the Grace of the Lord, your only choice is to acknowledge the Love of Christ…

And knowing that the Grace of the Lord is sufficient for us to cope with all the challenges of this world.

Romans 11:6

And if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, it is no longer grace; otherwise work is no longer work. In Context | Full Chapter | Other Translations

His Promise:

Ephesians 2: 4-10 4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith —and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father in Jesus we come…Lord Jesus we thank You for the Covenant of Your promise that in Your Father’s Kingdom there are many mansions, and where You are we will be. Lord bless our Visitors and let this mission of spreading Your Good News flourish like a wild fire to proclaim You as our Majestic King of kings and Lord of lords, today let Your Holy Spirit be with us all as we pray in Your Holy Name Lord Jesus our Supreme Eternal God to You Lord is the Power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen.
