Focus: Water is life, we can’t live without water. Jesus said He will give us the Living Water…

We can go for days without food but not without water.  It is no wonder that the soft drinks companies got into the bottled-water business.  What is ironic, two of the leading bottlers are just re-selling tap water in plastic bottles.  The Bottled water industry is at 100 Billion US Dollars annually and growing at a rate of ten percent per year. Over half of the US population consumes bottled water, and it is fastest growing internationally.

Water is free if you have a well that produces potable drinking water which may require some sanitizing, but we buy a glassful of water for a dollar or more in restaurants, or an average of 23 Cents by the case, and two person can consume three cases in about a week, therefore these 72 little bottles are still not enough to supply the daily requirement for hydration.

With 750 million people around the world lacking access to safe water; approximately one in nine people,

this is more than twice the population of the United States lives without access to safe water. The Water crisis is as acute as the percentage of people lacking access to the Word of God…

The statistics of the numbers of non-Christians can be staggering [fate of the unevangelized?]

•              865 million unreached Muslims or Islamic followers in 3330 cultural sub-groupings

•              550 million unreached Hindus in 1660 cultural sub-groups

•              150 million unreached Chinese in 830 groups

•              275 million unreached Buddhists in 900 groups

•              2550 unreached tribal groups (which are mainly animistic) with a total population of 140 million

•              Forming a smaller -- though important -- unreached group are the 17 million Jews scattered across 134 countries

•              Good news: Missions researcher David Barrett says the country with the most rapid Christian expansion ever is China where there are 10,000 new Christian converts every day.

TEXT:       John 4 New King James Version (NKJV)

A Samaritan Woman Meets Her Messiah

A woman of Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, “Give Me a drink.” For His disciples had gone away into the city to buy food.

Then the woman of Samaria said to Him, “How is it that You, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?” For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.

10 Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.”

11 The woman said to Him, “Sir, You have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. Where then do You get that living water? 12 Are You greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well, and drank from it himself, as well as his sons and his livestock?”

13 Jesus answered and said to her, “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, 14 but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.”

15 The woman said to Him, “Sir, give me this water, that I may not thirst, nor come here to draw.”

16 Jesus said to her, “Go, call your husband, and come here.”

17 The woman answered and said, “I have no husband.”

Jesus said to her, “You have well said, ‘I have no husband,’ 18 for you have had five husbands, and the one whom you now have is not your husband; in that you spoke truly.”

19 The woman said to Him, “Sir, I perceive that You are a prophet. 20 Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, and you Jews say that in Jerusalem is the place where one ought to worship.”

21 Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you will neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father. 22 You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews.23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

25 The woman said to Him, “I know that Messiah is coming” (who is called Christ). “When He comes, He will tell us all things.”

26 Jesus said to her, “I who speak to you am He.

The Whitened Harvest

27 And at this point His disciples came, and they marveled that He talked with a woman; yet no one said, “What do You seek?” or, “Why are You talking with her?”

28 The woman then left her waterpot, went her way into the city, and said to the men, 29 “Come, see a Man who told me all things that I ever did. Could this be the Christ?” 30 Then they went out of the city and came to Him.

The Savior of the World

39 And many of the Samaritans of that city believed in Him because of the word of the woman who testified, “He told me all that I ever did.” 40 So when the Samaritans had come to Him, they urged Him to stay with them; and He stayed there two days. 41 And many more believed because of His own word.

42 Then they said to the woman, “Now we believe, not because of what you said, for we ourselves have heard Him and we know that this is indeed the Christ,[a] the Savior of the world.”

Devotionals for Tuesday September 29th, 2015

Focus: Who can you help today, are you thinking of yourself, or your family, your neighbor or someone you can help?

Seek His Green Pastures and Still Water, get to where ‘Less is ‘More’.  The simple life is the envy of many city folks

Focus:    The Good News for today are:

“The battle is not yours, but God’s. … Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem! Do not fear or be dismayed.   2 Chronicles 20:15, 17.”

Text: “Do not be terrified. … The Lord your God, who goes before you, He will fight for you” (Deuteronomy 1:29-31).

“All this assembly shall know that the Lord does not save with sword and spear; for the battle is the Lord’s” (1 Samuel 17:47).

Commentary: Keep Asking, Seeking, Knocking:  “ASK” Luke 11: 9-12

“So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. 11 If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? 12 Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? 13 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”

Note: Philippians 4: 6 (The Amplified New Testament)

Verse 6: Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything by prayer and petition (a defined request) with thanksgiving continue to make your wants known to God.

Notice the key words are:

  • Do not fret
  • Every circumstance
  • By Prayer & Petition
  • With Thanksgiving
  • Continue your request to God

Give thanks to our Faithful Lord and Savior as He provides all our needs… as stated in:

Philippians 4:19 New International Version (NIV)

19 And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.

Principle:

Our Lord’s Grace and His Kindness and Graciousness are His gifts to those that serve and place Him first.

Live by the principle of… Spiritual maturity is developed by holding unto a FAITH that is FIRMLY ANCHORED IN CHRIST; and knowing that we are never on our own because Jesus is our High Priest.

His Promise / His Faithfulness:

Things to know that in the realms of reality, right now is what counts; not yesterday, nor tomorrow, for we know…“Jesus is the Great High Priest and HE is the Source of our SECURITY!”

Conclusion:

Is anyone facing the need for His Supplication? Money, Loneliness, Family’s faith, Concerns for our future & seeking a closer walk with the Lord? All the answers lie in Jesus our Redeemer, as He knows what we have need of; all we have to do is ‘ASK’ in HIS Name…

John 16: 24 New International Version (NIV)

24 Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete. Jesus said in Faith ASK, and Ask in His Name with Thanksgiving, believing you will be receiving your petition…

Action/Coming to our Lord:

1 Peter 5:7

New International Version (NIV)

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

Remember Jesus loves you, and knowing this to be the Truth, You should not be in need… Just like Psalm 23 said… A Psalm of David.

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,
he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me;
your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father in Jesus we come, Lord Jesus our Sovereign eternal God in One of the Father in Your Holy Trinity, Lord we Praise You and give You our all as we are privileged to serve You Lord. Devotionals for Sunday September 27, 2015

Focus:   The Bible is not filled with stories, it is filled with chronological history and by-gone events and events to come. Stories are life fairy-tales.   The   Bible is all about the Majesty of God, His mercies, His Redemption and His Kingdom to come.

We live in a world with more questions than answers. The book of Revelation is a fulfillment of God’s Eternal Plan, and it reveals:

a] His Creation,

b] He is Redeemer and

c] He is Sovereign and there is none like Him.

Revelation points to Jesus Christ as the Center of God’s Grand Design

He is The Redeemer, He is the Restorer and His Prophecy is being fulfilled as we see the great Messianic Movement which may be preparing for the last days when His people shall be restored.

TEXT:       Matthew 17:1-3 New King James Version (NKJV)

Jesus Transfigured on the Mount

17 Now after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, led them up on a high mountain by themselves; and He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light. And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him.

The Preeminence of Christ and todays as we gather let us give Him first-place in our lives.  While the Bible is all about Jesus, we want to recognize that we all are God’s prized-Possessions and He made us in His likeness. And he sent His Son Jesus to redeem us.

There is no doubt about the Supremacy of Christ, He is God Emanuel and He came and Paid-it-All…

‘Doubt’ is an act of not being in Faith… even in a disappointment I never doubt, as I must remain in Faith knowing that God through His Son Jesus is in charge and all things works together for the Good. And He is Good. So to be in despair it is not trusting Him and to have any doubt it is saying…’Lord, I do not trust you’ so whatever the circumstance give thanks and praise Him for He is forever faithful and He said He will never leave me nor forsake me.

Good News:

Coming to the Lord:

Lord today as I accept Your Peace, I will not fear what man can do, as You have provided Your Armor…

Prayer: Father in Heaven, in Jesus we come. We thank You in the name of Jesus our Redeemer and our Sovereign Eternal God in One of Your Divine Holy Trinity, Lord Jesus Your Majestic Powers and Your Everlasting Love for us and your Grace are all we need. Lord We Love You Lord, we praise You and we are privileged to bring Your Good News to the ends of the world.  Lord bless our Visitors and grant us all Your Divine Providence as You know our needs before we ask. Devotionals for Saturday September 26, 2015

Focus:    Is there a ‘moving-target’ in your life? Man invented the shell game, Jesus’ parables were not fiction just examples. He gave us the truth.

http://blog.newsystemsthinking.com/wp-content/uploads/Shell-Game.bmp

In life our quest for success cannot be achieved by playing the odds… is it here? Or is it there?  The only surety we can ever have and we cannot buy it nor earn it is from our Lord Jesus, and this is His precious gift of Redemption.

The Father Revealed in the Son

25 At that time Jesus said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. 26 Yes, Father, for this is what you were pleased to do.

27 “All things have been committed to me by my Father.  No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.

28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

The Power of the Lord that demonstrated his captors had no power over Him, but He allowed them to arrest Him, as he was fulfilling the Prophecy of His Crucifixion, Death and Resurrection…

John 21: Jesus Arrested

18 When he had finished praying, Jesus left with his disciples and crossed the Kidron Valley. On the other side there was a garden, and he and his disciples went into it.

Now Judas, who betrayed him, knew the place, because Jesus had often met there with his disciples. So Judas came to the garden, guiding a detachment of soldiers and some officials from the chief priests and the Pharisees. They were carrying torches, lanterns and weapons.

Jesus, knowing all that was going to happen to him, went out and asked them, “Who is it you want?”

“Jesus of Nazareth,” they replied.

“I am he,” Jesus said. (And Judas the traitor was standing there with them.)When Jesus said, “I am he,” they drew back and fell to the ground.

Even without lifting a finger the soldiers felled back to the ground as Jesus said…”I am He”

Good News:

This same Jesus knows you and He can lead you as He wants you to have a life filled with Joy as He said this…

“I come that you may have life and have it ‘more’ abundantly…

TEXT:     John 10:10New King James Version (NKJV)

10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

Coming to the Lord:

Lord today as I accept Your Peace, I will not fear what man can do, as You have provided Your Armor…

Good News -His Faithfulness:

John 14:26-28New King James Version (NKJV)

26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. 27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. 28 You have heard Me say to you, ‘I am going away and coming back to you.’ If you loved Me, you would rejoice because I said, ‘I am going to the Father,’ for My Father is greater than I.

Ephesians 6:10-18 [Full Chapter] [TheWhole Armor of God]

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. ...

Conclusion:

Prayer: Heavenly Father in Jesus we come. Lord Jesus we thank You for Your assurance that in You Lord we have peace and in You we have Victory. TEXT:     Exodus 20:7Wycliffe Bible (WYC)

Thou shalt not take in vain the name of thy Lord God, for the Lord shall not have him guiltless, that taketh in vain the name of his Lord God. (Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain, for the Lord shall not hold guiltless he who taketh the name of the Lord his God in vain.) Wycliffe Bible (WYC)

God said… Genesis 2:18 NKJV

And the Lord God said, It is not good that a man be alone; make we to him an helper like to himself (let us make for him a helper like himself). In Context | Full Chapter

Commentary: When someone says… “God I have a Plan and I want you to get behind it”, what is he saying? He is telling God to be his worker? Or to be his helper?  For one, God is not your worker or your helper, He is Your GOD… and he is the Architect/designer, you are the worker and He is the ‘provider’ and He is the Supreme Preeminent One.

Jesus came, He taught, He fellowshipped and through His Ministry endowed us with His teachings, and He revealed His Kingdom and above all He Redeemed us.   Our Lord Jesus Paid-It-All, He absorbed the abuses, the insults and the Paid and Died for us, yet He was God among us.

EVENING:

Because He said that all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God, this is why His Redemption is a Priceless Gift, and cannot be purchased or earned.  It is also noted that the key word in the foregoing statement, was “ALL” therefore it means that no one can meet HIS Criterion of being Sinless…. To make us eligible to be redeemed, He died in our place and rose triumphantly, and by this we became eligible though HIS resurrection and He offers this today as His Priceless Gift of Salvation.

Good News: Coming to the Lord:

Lord today as I accept Your Peace, I will not fear what man can do, as You have provided Your Armor…

Prayer:

Heavenly Father in Jesus our Sovereign Eternal God in One of Your Holy Trinity we come. Lord Jesus as we stand before the empty cross Lord, we acknowledge that You are on the Throne of Righteousness and Interceding for us Lord. Thank You Lord Jesus for Your Grace and Your Priceless Gift of Redemption.  Thank You Lord for the opportunity of serving You Lord; and thank You for our Visitors, grants us all Your blessings on each. Focus: The seven year cycles… when is your next? Is there really a seven year cycle? What will my next 7 years be like? Read more… …

Yes there is a Sabbath Year which is the 7th year and in today’s judicial law, the 7th year is also when a judgment filed is no longer valid.  In the realms of our Lord our future is not measured in seven-year cycles, it is measured on His daily providence to us by His Grace.

No one knows the future… The fortune-tellers are not in the business of helping you they are in the business of helping you ‘down’ they will tell you to bring them your money and to do all sorts of crazy things that will in fact benefit them and not you.  So if they really knew the future why are they just preying on the innocents and not buying the Lotto with the winning numbers that they should know. But they really do not know anything other than to scam their clients, or shall we say ‘victims’

Observe the following texts…

Good News:

Coming to the Lord:

Commentary:

Jesus our Lord and Savior was there at the beginning of it all. In Genesis (The Beginning) we read in Genesis 1: 26, God was referring to Jesus His Son and His Holy Spirit, when He said “Let Us” Create…In Jeremiah 29 above, we read that God told the Exiles (Israelites in Babylon) how He would proper them…. Our Lord is telling us the same things today, as we are in a place similar to Babylon, but just as He was telling them He would repatriate them to their Land… Verse 11: 11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.14 I will be found by you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back from captivity. I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile.”

Factually we are in Exile here on earth as our fore-parents were exiled from the Garden of Eden… the  Scriptures from the beginning of the Bible is all about our well-being, God created it all for us, as He gave us humans dominion over it all…. during our exiles over the centuries done both good and bad to their fellowmen, many were good custodians, and we can pick for today’s review Milton Hershey the Chocolate industrialist, as he and his wife Catherine had a great deal of compassion on the less fortunate, and even today we have people of such standing considered good stewards through their philanthropic foundations.

To regain those he loves, God sent His Son Jesus, The Christ, and our Messiah and through His Death at Calvary He vanquished the enemy… Sin… that first placed us into Exile, but God loved us so much that He redeemed us.   Now that he had Paid-It-All, we can by His Blood be redeemed and we will be taken to the Restored Eden.

While we reflected on the goodness of those blessed by our Lord and those that rendered the atrocity, both of these; good and bad are still ‘Sinners’ as we are the offspring’s of our exiled parents. This is the only reason why Jesus Christ came to redeem us.

EVENING:

The Bible said… Ephesians 2:8-9 New King James Version (NKJV)

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.

Lord today as I accept Your Peace, I will not fear what man can do, as You have provided Your Armor…

Good News -His Faithfulness:

Ephesians 6:10-18 [Full Chapter] [TheWhole Armor of God]

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. ...

Note: Our place in Heaven is endowed by our Lord Jesus who said… John 14:3And “if” I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. John 14:2-4 (in Context) John 14 (Whole Chapter)

Devotionals for Tuesday September 22, 2015

Focus:    How would you use a million dollars if you got is this afternoon? Are you a good custodian?

Many routinely purchase Lotto tickets hoping to win that jackpot.  Walking by the Lotto stand I noticed the large waste baskets of disposed tickets that obviously were not the winning tickets.

‘JACK’ Pot is derived from ‘Knave’ and Knave is defined as… Knave, which formerly meant merely a boy or servant, in modern use emphasizes baseness of nature and intention: a dishonest and swindling knave. Rascal suggests shrewdness and trickery in dishonesty: a plausible rascal.

So the promoters of the Lotto promising to give the winner a ‘Jack’ Pot is in fact operating as a Knave, which emphasizes baseness of nature and intention: a dishonest and swindling knave. Rascal suggests shrewdness and trickery in dishonesty: a plausible rascal.

But if you inherited the Million, the question is how you would use it… As a beneficiary of such a sum it could last a while and while some may have inherited this much squandered it away in a short while. So let us put this or any sum even your weekly salary to good use. And this is by bringing the ‘First-Fruit’ to the Lord.

Remember we can be ‘fearless’…Fear is fed by lack of hope… Hope is fed by Faith, and Faith in Jesus and His Grace is all we need

TEXT:     Matthew 10: Jesus Teaches the Fear of God

27 “Whatever I tell you in the dark, speak in the light; and what you hear in the ear, preach on the housetops. 28 And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. 29 Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will. 30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31 Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.

Confess Christ before Men

32 “Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. 33 But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.

Focus:    The top 10 things we fear most…

  1. Speaking before a Group
  2. Heights
  3. Insects and bugs
  4. Financial problems
  5. Deep water
  6. Sickness
  7. Death
  8. Flying
  9. Loneliness
  10. Dogs

Actually the thing that we should fear the most is not mentioned on the list… Matthew 10:28

And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. In Context | Full Chapter

At some time or the other all of us may have some fear or ever experiencing any of the top 10 listed. We can overcome the fear factor of most of the top ten things. Except for the non-elective items of No. 6 and 7 we can by some means learn to cope or avoid the other factors.

The old adage of ‘Knowledge is Power’ and being a part of today’s new-found knowledge-based society we can overcome the fear of Public speaking, Heights, Deep-water, flying, and dogs, but Insects and bugs, financial problems we can also conquer, yet we cannot avoid sickness, death and loneliness.

However Hope in Christ can conquer the three non-elective factors of sickness, death and Loneliness…

Good News:

The Divine Providence of our Lord can conquer not just the fear of sickness, death and loneliness, His Providence can provide a Peace that is unexplainable, because He said: John 14:27

Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. In Context | Full Chapter |

Coming to the Lord:

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. ...

EVENING:

It is up to us… God made us free-thinkers, so make the right choices.

  1. Do not give permission to the evil one. Did you know the devil cannot use you unless you grant your permission to allow him?
  2. Why the devil does want your soul? Because you are worth a  lot to Jesus
  3. The Power of Prayer

Note: Our place in Heaven is endowed by our Lord Jesus who said… John 14:3And “if” I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. John 14:2-4 (in Context) John 14 (Whole Chapter)

Conclusion:

Important factor: Our Lord is not against you being rich, but all of what he has provided are to be used to honor our Lord, and He must receive the ‘First-Fruit’ He will not tolerate being offered the left-over.

Prayer: Our Father in Heaven in Jesus we come. Thank You Lord Jesus that through You our Savior we are made Joint-Heirs to Your Kingdom. Devotionals for Monday September 21, 2015

Focus: Without Christ we can do nothing, including you, we are not diminishing anyone’s ability.  What is you life’s achievement? Think on this…

TEXT: John 15:5

“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. In Context | Full Chapter |

Think on this:

Who are you blaming for your mistakes? One mistake is believing we know it all… (All wrapped up in pride)

TEXT:     Proverbs 16:18

Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall. In Context | Full Chapter |

Proverbs 11:2

When pride comes, then comes shame; But with the humble is wisdom. In Context | Full Chapter | Other Translations

Proverbs 13:10

By pride comes nothing but strife, But with the well-advised is wisdom.

Can you imagine that our Lord Jesus who is God Incarnate washed the feet of His disciples, why? Jesus detested ‘Pride’ and He showed His Humbleness by this act…

COMMENTARY: Why do you wash your car? Clean your house? Because they are your possessions.  The cost of owning in God’s economy is ‘Love” not money.  God’s equation is founded on ‘Endless-love’ Money is like an ice cube on hot pavement, but Love can be forever.

Hierarchy is a ranking system that forms a disparaging class approach in society. Example, to be a King versus a slave, or a queen versus her subject.  There is a protocol of bowing, or doing a ‘curtsy’ a posture of a woman bowing and bending her knee showing respect to the queen.  Can you imagine the queen or a king washing the feet of their subject? In olden days such a thought would have one beheaded.

Jesus rendered the act of washing His disciples’ feet, because of His love showing them to be His ‘Prized-Possessions’ yes; we are declared to be God’s prized possessions. What a privilege that we have from our Faithful Lord and Savior...

  1. Colossians 1:15[The Supremacy of the Son of God] The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. Colossians 1:14-16 (in Context) Colossians 1 (Whole Chapter)

The Supremacy of the Son of God

15 The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. 17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18 And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. 19 For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him,20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross. End of Text.

What is important to us all? After reading and learning that Salvation came to both the Jews and the Gentiles by the Grace of Jesus Christ.  The focal point of all is the Divine Resurrection of Jesus that died for our Sins’ and this same Jesus  is returning as described in the Bible as “the Day of the Lord’.

EVENING:

Ephesians 1: 1-14 New International Version (NIV)

1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, To God’s holy people in Ephesus, [a] the faithful in Christ Jesus:

2 Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Praise for Spiritual Blessings in Christ

3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. 4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love 5 he[b] predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— 6 to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the one he loves. 7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace 8 that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding, 9. He made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, 10. To be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.

11 In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will, 12 in order that we, who were the first to put our hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory. 13 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who a deposit is guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession— to the praise of his glory.

Think on this:       What we have just read is better than money in the bank, why? It will never depreciate, the Word of God is forever, and the Riches of God's Grace that He lavished on us will never end.

Coming to our Lord:  On that day ‘The day of the Lord’ His Grace will cease, not all of us will live to see the Day of the Lord, as we may die before He returns, but the Day of the Lord will still be an event that we all will be present at. What the Scripture teaches is that the Day of HIS Salvation in NOW! And me must come to HIM and accept Him in Faith and receive HIS Gift of Salvation by His Divine Crucifixion, that was predestined by His Father our Creator to Redeem us by His Blood. Why is Blood an important element? Blood is Life, we cannot survive without it, just like when a person suffers a wound and extensive blood loss, he dies, The Blood of Jesus is far more than life sustaining on Earth, Jesus’ Blood gives us “Life-Everlasting’ why, we were created in the Likeness of God as evidenced by His Son Jesus, and therefore, in His likeness we will never die… the question is, never die? Yes, but because of the original sin that we inherited from Adam, we must be Born-Again. John 3:3

Jesus answered and said to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

John 3:2-4 (in Context) John 3 (Whole Chapter)

His Assurance: 1 Peter 1:3

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

1 Peter 1:2-4 (in Context) 1 Peter 1 (Whole Chapter)

1 Peter 1:23

For you have been born again not of seed which is perishable but imperishable, that is, through the living and enduring word of God. 1 Peter 1:22-24 (in Context) 1 Peter 1 (Whole Chapter)

Prayer: Heavenly Father in Jesus we come, Lord Jesus we come to You knowing that You are on the Throne of Righteousness and You intercedes for us. Lord be with our Visitors and Lord, fill us all with Your Holy Spirit and direct our pathways as we seek to be led by Your divine guidance as the Author and Finisher of our Faith.  And by Faith we come and accept You Lord klnowi9ng that all things work for good to those that love You, and in acknowledgement of Your Word, that You will never leave us nor forsake us, Lord we give You the Praise and to You Lord Jesus is the Power and the Glory, now and forevermore… Amen.

Devotionals for Sunday September 20, 2015

Morning:

Focus:   How about a prayer of thanksgiving without asking for anything? Your needs will be met as He knows even before we ask. But make your request known as He will acknowledge you.

TEXT: Philippians 4-7:

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Matthew 9: 1- 38

Jesus Forgives and Heals a Paralyzed Man

9 Jesus stepped into a boat, crossed over and came to his own town. Some men brought to him a paralyzed man, lying on a mat. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the man, “Take heart, son; your sins are forgiven.”

At this, some of the teachers of the law said to themselves, “This fellow is blaspheming!”

Knowing their thoughts, Jesus said, “Why do you entertain evil thoughts in your hearts? Which is easier: to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up and walk’? But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.” So he said to the paralyzed man, “Get up, take your mat and go home.” Then the man got up and went home. When the crowd saw this, they were filled with awe; and they praised God, who had given such authority to man.

The Calling of Matthew

As Jesus went on from there, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax collector’s booth. “Follow me,” he told him, and Matthew got up and followed him.

10 While Jesus was having dinner at Matthew’s house, many tax collectors and sinners came and ate with him and his disciples. 11 When the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?”

12 On hearing this, Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. 13 But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’[a] For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

Jesus Questioned About Fasting

14 Then John’s disciples came and asked him, “How is it that we and the Pharisees fast often, but your disciples do not fast?”

15 Jesus answered, “How can the guests of the bridegroom mourn while he is with them? The time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them; then they will fast.

16 “No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment, for the patch will pull away from the garment, making the tear worse. 17 Neither do people pour new wine into old wineskins. If they do, the skins will burst; the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved.”

Jesus Raises a Dead Girl and Heals a Sick Woman

18 While he was saying this, a synagogue leader came and knelt before him and said, “My daughter has just died. But come and put your hand on her, and she will live.” 19 Jesus got up and went with him, and so did his disciples.

20 Just then a woman who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak. 21 She said to herself, “If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed.”

22 Jesus turned and saw her. “Take heart, daughter,” he said, “your faith has healed you.” And the woman was healed at that moment.

23 When Jesus entered the synagogue leader’s house and saw the noisy crowd and people playing pipes, 24 he said, “Go away. The girl is not dead but asleep.” But they laughed at him. 25 After the crowd had been put outside, he went in and took the girl by the hand, and she got up. 26  News of this spread through all that region.

Jesus Heals the Blind and the Mute

27 As Jesus went on from there, two blind men followed him, calling out, “Have mercy on us, Son of David!”

28 When he had gone indoors, the blind men came to him, and he asked them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?”

“Yes, Lord,” they replied.

29 Then he touched their eyes and said, “According to your faith let it be done to you”; 30 and their sight was restored. Jesus warned them sternly, “See that no one knows about this.” 31 But they went out and spread the news about him all over that region.

32 While they were going out, a man who was demon-possessed and could not talk was brought to Jesus. 33 And when the demon was driven out, the man who had been mute spoke. The crowd was amazed and said, “Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel.”

34 But the Pharisees said, “It is by the prince of demons that he drives out demons.”

Commentary:

While the synagogue leaders were saying… At this, some of the teachers of the law said to themselves, “This fellow is blaspheming!”

A synagogue leader came and knelt before him and said, “My daughter has just died. But come and put your hand on her, and she will live.”  Jesus raised her from the death, and yet these hypocrites said…34 But the Pharisees said, “It is by the prince of demons that he drives out demons.” Buy just before they said this Jesus has cast out a demon from a possessed man and restored his ability to speak.

They laughed at Jesus, yet He raised the dead, healed the blind, restored the deaf and the mute, and yet they said he did this by the ‘prince’ of demons.

Do these Pharisees remind you of some of our modern day politicians? In the USA today the leader’s agenda is to subsidize abortion, appoint gays to office, promotes an agenda that is contrary to God’s teaching and to undo good things, even trading a traitor releasing known terrorist that is continuing to inflict harm against our society.

So let us pray today and make our desire be known by a petition to our Lord and Savior who will sustain you.

Conclusion:

Remember the Bible is all about the Lord Jesus, He was here on the very first day of Creation, When God said…”Let there be Light” and His Son appeared, not the Sun that was placed in the heaven on the 4th day.

So Jesus is not a ‘New Kid on the Block” he is Sovereign and He is God in One of the Holy Trinity. Yet Jesus humbled Himself, and He is reaching out to us all as he said you are no longer servants but friends.  Christ came as a man that he could reach us. He walked this earth for 33 years, was crucified and on the third day He resurrected triumphantly, and spent 40 days with His disciples and was seen by many.

To know Christ:  Repent (Turn from your sins) and by faith receive Jesus Christ into your heart and life and follow Him in obedience as your Lord and Savior.

Pray this prayer of Commitment: Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name I pray Lord Jesus… Amen.

Father we thank you for our Visitors and Lord Jesus we thank You for Your Divine Grace and we go in faith looking to You as the Author and Finisher of our Faith as we affirm You our Redeemer Lives and we shall see You as You are. To You be the Power Lord Jesus and the Glory now and Forevermore… Amen.

Devotionals for Saturday September 19, 2015

Morning:

Focus:   You can't out give God, His providence is the source of all things, what we have is just a fraction of His abundance. He made it all.

Grace is Un-deserved… Your Policy is still in force, you are covered

TEXT:     Ephesians 2:8-9 New King James Version (NKJV)

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.

Your Auto insurance due date is past and your coverage will lapse at midnight tonight, but you called in the morning and they said that you are still covered as there is a five day grace period.  The five day is all that you have.

The Good News is; the Grace from the Lord is the unmerited favor of our Lord, and His Grace is timeless. There are no expiration date and you are ‘Saved’ forever.

Devotional:

Coming to the Lord:

John 5: 24 Jesus said:

"I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life." - John 5:24

Commentary:  Today we will conduct a frank discussion regarding being ‘Born-Again’ for the Bible said... He died for us while we yet sinners; Romans 5: But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

OK, we are now born again, but will this stop us from committing a sin? No, it is for this reason the our Lord Jesus was sacrificed ‘Once’ and when we have accepted Him in Faith and is now a child of God, we must ask forgiveness for any sin that we commit, as our Lord Jesus Christ is our Intercessor, However, if we continue to sin we are mocking our Lord… and as He said…

Romans 1: NIV

28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done.

Let us remind ourselves of…

  1. The Good News is: God Sent His Son Jesus to Redeem us
  2. Jesus Paid It All by His Blood of Atonement.
  3. The Grace of our Lord is extended to us all, and right now is the time of Acceptance
  4. If we Accept our Lord Jesus and repent of our Sin, He will Redeem us by His Blood as a Seal; and as a Down/Payment for our Redemption that we will be with our Lord in a Place of Splendor forever.
  5. We also need to let it be known; that while our Lord is a Lord of Love, A Gracious Redeemer and a Patient God, He is also a God of Consuming Fire…
  6. Our Lord said that when we are saved by His Grace we will never be lost, but we must know Him and have a close walk with our Lord; as He will meet all our needs and He will never leave us nor forsake us.

His Assurance: John 17:12
While I was with them, I protected them and kept them safe by that name you gave me. None has been lost except the one doomed to destruction so that Scripture would be fulfilled.

John 17:11-13 (in Context) John 17 (Whole Chapter)

No one wants to hear this… Luke 13: 25 The Narrow Door

22 Then Jesus went through the towns and villages, teaching as he made his way to Jerusalem. 23 Someone asked him, “Lord, are only a few people going to be saved?”

He said to them, 24 “Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to. 25 Once the owner of the house gets up and closes the door, you will stand outside knocking and pleading, ‘Sir, open the door for us.’

“But he will answer, ‘I don’t know you or where you come from.’

26 “Then you will say, ‘We ate and drank with you, and you taught in our streets.’

27 “But he will reply, ‘I don’t know you or where you come from. Away from me, all you evildoers!’  (These are the words from Jesus Himself)

Good News -His Faithfulness:

We can come to our Lord Jesus right where we are and he will receive us, and we can have His assurance that we will be saved by His Blood.

EVENING:

Steps to Victory

  19. He provided a Way that I can come to Him
  20. Without His Forgiveness and His Grace I cannot come into His Kingdom
  21. His Redemption is not a ritual, His Redemption is a Sacrifice for my Sins
  22. Without His Blood of Atonement I cannot come to Him, so He has provided a Seal of Life through His Resurrection

  24. His Good News is; He is willing to forgive me and you, and His Good News is that we will be with Him in a Place He called Paradise, a place that is sanctified without sin and we shall have His Holy Presence giving us His Joy in a Place of Splendor. Come to Him today.

Prayer: Heavenly Father in Jesus we come.  Lord just as You brought Paul to his knees Lord, You made Him Your Vessel for Your Glory;  Lord claim the men that are also on the road to Damascus today. Lord we need Your Divine Intervention to the upheaval of the land of Syria. Lord be with our leaders as they contemplate their actions. Lord let Your will be done. Devotionals for Friday September 18, 2015

Morning:

Focus:     Be patient and wait on the latter rain, it will bring a bumper crop. Ask, Seek, Knock and it shall be granted. God want you to be joyful.

The Unending Love of Christ…

The Difference of intellectually knowing my Lord or experientially knowing Him… Experience Christ by Living and Learning, Christ must be the Center of my/our Life; By ignoring the Word, and not being Patient, He said “wait on the latter rain and endure the suffering” as He will never let us be Ashamed in Trusting in Him, and only when we try and shortcut His Plan in our lives we express these traits.

To be still and know that He is GOD and Continue to work as He said the Harvest is great but the Workers are few...

Text: Romans 12:9-10 (NIV)

Love in Action

9 Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. 10 Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.

“Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.” 1 Corinthians 1:24

We are to have intimacy with Jesus, and to live by His precepts and teaching….If we desire to be in a faithful walk with our Lord, we are to come to Him not when we are in need but to have a constant relationship just like your ‘best friend’ that you Text and Email or call daily.

We are to know that His Holy Spirit give us ‘Power’ to overcome the evil forces and to rebuke the schemes of the devil by the Word of God… Just like when Jesus quoted Scriptures to ward off the devil that tempted our Lord. When we come to Jesus our High Priest, He intercedes to His Father our Creator, we are told to come to HIM boldly and make all petitions known with Thanksgiving in Prayer to our Lord Jesus.

No one is immune to temptation to sin, even Jesus was tempted but He remained Sinless, he used the scripture to thwart the temptation of the devil. We too need the Two-edged Sword to thwart the temptation which is more than ever a blitz in lights, on the TV, the Internet, Print and music etc.  We have to look beyond the temporary pleasure that is abominable to our Lord.  We need to ask for His help in overcoming the urge.

Principle: Knowing that God loves us all, meaning we must be rooted in Love.

His Promise / His Faithfulness: 1 Timothy 1:14

The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.

Action/Coming to our Lord:

To be still and Know that He is GOD and Continue to work as He said the Harvest is great but the Workers are few...

EVENING:

James 2: 14-19

Faith and Deeds

14 What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? 15 Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. 16 If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? 17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

18 But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.”

Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds. 19 You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that —and shudder.

Conclusion:

To apply the principle of Matthew 23: 12 For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted. And to remind my Brothers in their dedication of doing God’s work, He said… 1 Peter 5:  6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.

Coming to our Lord:

"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." - John 13:34-35

1)  To remain un-shaken remain strong by His Established Love.

2) To be rooted and established in Christ’s Love,

3) To be filled with God’s Holy Spirit,

4) That one must be satisfied and complete in Him,

5) To move towards the full purpose that God intended for us,

6) Let the Power of His Holy Spirit work in us

1 John 4:19

We love Him because He first loved us.

Prayer: Prayer:

Heavenly Father in Jesus we come to thank You for Your Graciousness,  Lord the message is loud and clear as You outlined in Your parable of the Vineyard and the Vine-growers.  Lord Your Grace is all we need as You have granted this to us. Lord today as we look back and reflected on Your love for even those that went against your will Lord, and yet You came and Paid-It-All so that whomsoever call upon You will be saved. Lord Jesus, let your message of Salvation be heard and let the hearers respond by calling so that many will be saved by Your Grace. Lord, we are privileged to serve You and to be a vessel bearing the Water of Life for Your Glory. Lord, bless our Visitors here today as we ask Your Favors to us all be released and we thank You for meeting our needs. We pray in Your Holy Name Lord Jesus for Yours are the Kingdom the Power and the Glory now and forevermore... Amen. .

Devotionals Thursday September 17, 2015

Morning:

Focus: He said your mourning shall turn to Joy…because ‘The best is yet to come’ and His kingdom is not made by human hands.

TEXT: Deuteronomy 31:8

The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” In Context | Full Chapter |

Our Father is constantly watching out for us… Consider the cases of kids left in hot cars for absurd reasons

Think on this:  What relationship do you best recall with your dad?  Many of us have loving memories of his care for us

Commentary: Our dad cared for us and encountered all the challenges that we currently face… there’s nothing new on the face of the earth, life is a cycle, there will be laughter and there will be tears, tears of mourning and tears of joy.  In God’s equation it is revealed…Revelation 21:4

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. In Context | Full Chapter |

Joy is mentioned in the Bible over 200 times, and ‘Splendor’ is mentioned 30 times in the New American Standard (NASB) bible and 76 times in the NIV.

We read about several kids left in hot cars and left for hours in cars with the engine running while the parents were in a casino gambling.

When Jesus said…”I will never leave you nor forsake you” this saying from the Almighty means more than any statement man can make.

Hebrews 13:5 [Full Chapter]

Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”

Do not look back at the city lights like Lot’s wife… look to Jesus as the Author and Finisher of your Faith… and remember His Word is eternal, so you can trust His saying; “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”

Trust God and be patient, when we are impatient or in doubt, the results can be life-changing, read on…

God told Abram that he would be father of many, but both he and his wife Sarai were a little ‘doubtful’ so from the action they took came Ishmael … Genesis 16:  11 And the angel of the Lord said unto her, Behold, thou art with child and shalt bear a son, and shalt call his name Ishmael; because the Lord hath heard thy affliction.

12 And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.

Are we having the backlash from what God said… 12 And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him.  Yesterday we spoke of the old city of Nineveh being overrun and Christians are being driven out, killed and suffering at the hands of radicals.

We also said that God’s plan will not be over-ruled by men, but we want to reflect on what Jesus said…”I am not of this world” so when we read of the disciples and learning that of the twelve, 10 were martyred, (Judas committed suicide) all except John lived to write about the coming days… (Revelation) Therefore, it was God’s plan to take the 10 martyrs home to paradise, just as how he did not save Stephen from the stoning to death but welcomed him home, and even John the Baptist, he allowed Herod to behead him because Jesus knew it was time for them to leave this earth, He did save Paul when he was stoned by the crowd and cast out of town to die, but Paul was revived to continue as the Vessel of our Lord Jesus as he chose Paul to be the bearer of His Good News to the Gentiles.

EVENING:

Good News -His Faithfulness:

We have Victory in Jesus our Lord

Romans 5 New International Version (NIV)

Peace and Hope

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.

You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him! 10 For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! 11 Not only is this so, but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.

Conclusion:

“You cannot Test Drive being a Christian to see if you like it or not’

Why? In today’s topic the question is Guilty or not guilty? And we know the answer, which is… Guilty! Therefore, it is not possible to get a ‘Provisional Pardon’ you are either Pardoned or Guilty.  And it should be noted that there are no “good Christian’ or a ‘Better Christian’ we can only be a Christian or a sinner.  You see... A Christian is defined as one that is Born-Again and knows the Lord, being born into a Christian Family does not make you a Christian.  Being born in the Rothschild banking family will not make you a banker, as well as being born to parents that are doctors, you are not a doctor. Our Lord was born in a Stable, but He is a King of kings and He is Jesus Messiah.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father we come in Jesus our Eternal God in One of Your Holy Trinity, Lord Jesus thank You for hearing us as we stand at the Cross knowing that You rose triumphantly and ascended to the Throne of Righteousness and by Your Grace Lord we are saved. What a privilege that You have given us to stand in Victory, Lord we Thank You for bringing over 270,000 visitors to this site, as we serve You for Your Glory. We are privileged to be Your Messenger Lord. Bless our visitors and let Your messages bring many to you Lord Jesus, as it is for Your Kingdom Lord. We pray in Your Holy Name Lord Jesus and to you is the Power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen.

Devotionals Wednesday September 16, 2015

Morning:

Focus:  Jesus said… Do not worry, yet we do. If you have made your request known to Him, worrying is a form of mistrust, stay in Faith.

It is up to us… God made us free-thinkers, so make the right choices.

TEXT: John 14:3 And “if” I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. John 14:2-4 (in Context) John 14 (Whole Chapter)

COMMENTARY:

“You cannot sell what you do not own” The story of François-Marie Arouet, better known by his nom de plume Voltaire, was a French Enlightenment writer, historian and philosopher

Frederick II (the Great) was King of Prussia from 1740 to 1786 who held a social gathering to which he invited the infamous atheist Voltaire. Voltaire was a scoffer and as an unbeliever remarked “I’ll sell my place in heaven for a gold coin”, no one else was able to match his daring offering until a council member stood up and said, “Sir, anyone wishing to sell anything must first produce proof of ownership.  If you produce your title to a place in heaven, I’ll buy it for as much gold as you demand.”  This profound statement silenced this scoffer, who normally would have a witty answer.

Principles:

  1. Do not give permission to the evil one. Did you know the devil cannot use you unless you grant your permission to allow him?
  2. Why the devil does want your soul? Because you are worth a  lot to Jesus
  3. The Power of Prayer... Our place in Heaven is endowed by our Lord Jesus who said…

John 14:3
And “if” I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. John 14:2-4 (in Context) John 14 (Whole Chapter)

His Warning: Be aware of Jesus’ statement, He said ‘If”; why? Because while He was going, He would only build a place for those that are in Faith and the unbelievers would not be an heir to His Kingdom. (Therefore Voltaire the Atheist could not sell what he did not have the rights to.) Many of us read this and presumed that Jesus’ statement of Him going meant that ‘everyone’ would receive a ‘place’, there is no entitlement by default, and Jesus statement of “IF” was very specific to believers in Faith.

Only He (our Lord) knows the future…James 4: 14

Text:      James 4:14 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

14 Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away.

EVENING -

The Parable of the Rich Fool: Luke 12: 13-34

13 Someone in the crowd said to him, “Teacher, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me.”

14 Jesus replied, “Man, who appointed me a judge or an arbiter between you?” 15 Then he said to them, “Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions.”

16 And he told them this parable: “The ground of a certain rich man yielded an abundant harvest. 17 He thought to himself, ‘What shall I do? I have no place to store my crops.’

18 “Then he said, ‘This is what I’ll do. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store my surplus grain. 19 And I’ll say to myself, “You have plenty of grain laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry.”’

20 “But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?’

21 “This is how it will be with whoever stores up things for themselves but is not rich toward God.”

Prayer: Our Father in Heaven in Jesus we come. Thank You Lord Jesus that through You our Savior we are made Joint-Heirs to Your Kingdom. Today we bring Your Salvation to the global community by Your will and am privileged to serve You Lord Jesus through this Good News network, Lord we pray that many that visit are guided by Your Good News and that they will be brought to You Lord; as the angels will celebrate for every sinner that repents, Lord bless this day as we go forward in Faith and knowing that all our needs are provided and we give You thanks knowing that Your faithfulness and Your Covenant will never change. Lord Jesus we pray in Your Holy name and to You Jesus our Sovereign God in One of our Father and Creator, to You Lord Jesus is the Power and the Glory, Now and Forevermore… Amen.

Devotionals Tuesday September 15, 2015

Morning:

Focus:     He is coming again, He told us of the events leading to His return, are we there yet? The day of The Lord is promised and He will fulfill it.

: The ‘Right-Place’ and the ‘Right-Time’. Now is the best time ever, seize the Moment, seize the Day

Focus: Time is a dimension, the universe is timeless? How about the 4th dimension, God knows, we are just mere humans.

TEXT: Colossians 1: 15-18 15   (NKJV) He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. 17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. 18 And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.

Devotional: Because our Lord Jesus is the image of the invisible God, and He is the firstborn over all creation, and this occurred when God said let there be ‘Light’  our Lord, Yeshua, Yahweh,  Elohim, El Shaddai, Jehovah… Jesus is the Great “I AM”.  Because Jesus Himself said…”Before Abraham was, I am”

John 8:58

Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.” In Context | Full Chapter |

Jesus is not the by-stander in our prayers. He is “The Mediator” our only channel to The Father, so many who pray to The Father and never mention Jesus, are they really reaching The Father.   Remember Jesus said… “No one comes to the Father unless through me”. John 14:6 [Full Chapter] Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

Jesus is not our ‘Buddy’ He is the Supreme-Sovereign God in One of The Father, yet He said…. I am your friend… John 15:15

No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you. In Context | Full Chapter |

EVENING:

Coming to the Lord:

So when we gather in His Holy Name, remember Jesus is always in our Midst. Jesus said…  “Where two or more are gathered in my name, I am in the Midst” Matthew 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.” In Context | Full Chapter |

Good News -His Faithfulness:

When you know and trust our Lord, the Bible said…”He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways” Psalm 91:11.  Only our Lord prays for us, as His angels are constantly at work to safeguard us, His angels are here to minister to us and to guide us into our Lord’s presence at our life’s journey in heaven forever.  His angels are sent to serve those who loves the Lord and those our Lord made Joint-Heirs to His Kingdom.

Because our Sovereign Eternal Savior, Jesus Christ the Son of God, who is God Incarnate in His Holy Trinity is our Mediator and is Interceding for us to His Father, Jesus our Redeemer sitting on the Throne of Righteousness who Paid-It-All, and He died and through His Divine Resurrection, we are presented to his Father as ‘Redeemed’ and through His Blood of Atonement we are no long filthy rags.

What a privilege our Lord Jesus gave us… He took us out of the trash-heap and made us into fine-linen worthy of coming into the Presence of His Father.

His Faithfulness:

Jesus the giver of Life – everlasting, remember that a ‘Free’ Gift had to be bought by the giver, and Jesus bought His Priceless Gift with His Life by dying for us, and His Payment was Redeemed by the Father as He Rose from death. His Resurrection is a Witness of what He has endowed for those in Jesus who shall also share in His Glory through His Divine Redemption.

Yes we can receive His ‘Priceless-Gift’ right now and be made a Joint-Heir in Christ our Savior.

I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name I pray Lord Jesus… Amen.

Prayer: Heavenly Father in Jesus our Lord and Savior we come, Lord Jesus thank You for being our Mediator to the Father.  Lord it is because of Your Righteousness we are privileged to come in Your Holy Presence.  Lord thank You for Your Divine Grace as You have prepared a place for us all knowing that You have said You are not of this world… Lord as we go in faith, Lord remove the challenges and lead us all to green pastures as it is by Your Divine Providence that You gave us an abundant life and a more-abundant life to come. Lord we thank You for the Visitors to this site, bless us all Jesus Messiah, and to You Lord Jesus is the Power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen.

Devotionals Monday September 14, 2015

Morning:

Focus:     The Lord moves in a divine way, not a mysterious way. His way is the only way, but He let you choose by your freewill.

Choose life and come to Christ as he said…”I came that you may have life and have it more abundantly”

Make the right choice now and be assured that you will receive His ‘more’ abundant life.  Jesus was saying He was giving us a double-portion of Life, and what is a double portion of life? It is Life-everlasting through Him.

The Sheep and the Goats

Matthew 25:

31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.

34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’

44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’

45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’

46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”

Devotionals Sunday September 13, 2015

Morning:

Focus:      Let the Lord be in your midst.  Gather in His name, He said He will be there, meet Him today, feel His presence and receive his blessings.

The Deity of Jesus… Here we see the Power of Christ revealed in the Bible from day one… God said “Let there be Light” and there was light and this Light is His Son Jesus, Yeshua who was with God before the Sun was placed in the universe that took place on the 4th day.

Jesus of Nazareth existed before He came 2015 years ago. Jesus Christ is God in One of the Father from all eternity.  He is infinite, eternal and Jesus Christ is our unchangeable God, because His Word is forever.

Jesus Christ is the Sovereign eternal God, the second person of the Holy Trinity, our Triune God.

So let the Power of the almighty God who raised Christ from the dead be also in us all…

Romans 8:11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. In Context | Full Chapter |

TEXT: Romans 6:4

Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. In Context | Full Chapter

Colossian 1: 15-22

The Pre-Eminence of Jesus Christ:

15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.

Reconciled in Christ

19 For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, 20 and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.

21 And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled 22 in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight—

His Faithfulness:

Devotionals Saturday September 12, 2015

Morning:

Focus:       From fame & fortune to poverty, avoid this by following instructions to be a good-steward. Live for Christ and He will lead you to Paradise.

The Internet is full of stories of famous people who made their fortunes and lost it all.  Some are sports celebrities, entrepreneurs and heirs that inherited a fortune.  This is not good news, but it is news that we can learn from.  In analyzing the events of the Sports category, the main cause of their misfortune was life-style of ‘high’ living, bad investments and buying mansions and jets.

The entrepreneur’s category is full of rags to riches stories and the ending is usually the same, greed and arrogance as the main stumbling blocks. And finally the heirs to fortunes; the mix of greed, and mismanagement in their quest to grow the fortune inherited resulted in the loss of it all.

There are many that are no longer listed on the roster of Billionaires and these with a mere $800 Million in net worth are now considered less fortunate and are off the Forbes® list.

In all instances we may find that their plans were centered on ‘material-wealth’ and in some ways the instinct of conquering a challenge fueled by the desire of more and more.  As we once said wealth is like drinking salt water the more you drink the thirstier you get.

In ministries, many church leaders are doing a great job, but some by the adoption of a ‘business-model’ of more is good; and the over-expansion can lead to the same outcome of being on a treadmill of needing more donors to meet the obligations.  While The Lord said take nothing on the journey to His disciples, we need to let the mission be His, and let us not build trophies but follow the Lord’s instruction and let it all be His will.

An example is the Glass-Cathedral built in California that grew and grew that it incurred a billion dollars in debt and subsequently went bankrupt.

The Good News… God does not have anything against being rich, in fact Jesus had many friends that were rich, such as Joseph of Arimathea, Nicodemus, and we see Christ chose Paul (Saul of Tarsus) who was a persecutor of Christians, Saul was a Tent-Maker, recent studies are now revealing that Paul came from a well-off family that gave him an education and gained his citizenship as a Roman.

Here we see that Jesus chose people of above average means to serve His mission.  As the text below states (Mark 10:26) Jesus said, “Children, how hard it is for those who trust in riches to enter the kingdom of God! Let us focus on the directive of this sentence… How hard it is for those ‘who trust’ in riches…

TEXT: Mark 4:19 and the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful. In Context | Full Chapter | Other Translations

Devotionals Friday September 11, 2015

Morning:

Focus:       The Providence of the Lord… Seek Him first and the Mission statement will be accomplished, without Christ our plan will falter.

In business there are ‘Business-Plans’ and a ‘mission-statement’ and the first read is the ‘Executive-Summary’  What is the plan for your life, what is the mission statement and can you summarize them that is can be understood to get the mission accomplished.

Let look at what one could write for a personal mission statement…

A mission statement is to define one’s goals, ethics, and to focus on how a decision will be made to achieve the intended end results.

As someone said, most mission statements are just meaningless hype. This means do not ‘fool-yourself’ with fantasy and as your mission should not be a ‘wish-list’ that is built on a mission without ‘Hope’ and hope is a step of faith. Faith is defined in the encyclopedia… Faith is confidence or trust in a person or thing or a belief not based on proof. It may also refer to a particular system of religious belief.

Belief is defined,

1.

Something believed; an opinion or conviction:

A belief that the earth is flat.

2.

Confidence in the truth or existence of something not immediately susceptible to rigorous proof:

a statement unworthy of belief. So those that believe that there’s a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow will never find it, as the rainbow usually has no end.

But building our mission on goals, faith and belief, without God it is just a wish-list, but we can add ‘Confidence’ to the mission as we know our Redeemer lives and that He (Jesus) said…

TEXT:

Mark 11:23-25New King James Version (NKJV)

23 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. 24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

Forgiveness and Prayer

25 “And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.

Today’s day in history… September 11… a day that changed the United States of America and the world’s… a day when evil reared its ugly head… Yet we shall not be afraid, as we say; Be Calm,  He is Risen and greater is He in us that in them.

EVENING:

Coming to our Lord:

Here is the Author and Finisher of our Faith, our lives, our future and He said His Kingdom is a place called Paradise.

Matthew 10:32

Conclusion:

We have Victory in Christ…

To know Christ:  Repent (Turn from your sins) and by faith receive Jesus Christ into your heart and life and follow Him in obedience as your Lord and Savior.

Pray this prayer of Commitment: Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name I pray Lord Jesus… Amen.

Devotionals Thursday September 10, 2015

Morning:

Focus:       The pursuit of ‘Happiness’ this sometimes leads to a dead-end. True happiness is found only in Christ because only He satisfies.

The pursuit of happiness for many is a dead-end and the statistical report is; illicit drug use in the United States has been increasing. In 2013, an estimated 24.6 million Americans aged 12 or older—9.4 percent of the population—had used an illicit drug in the past month. This number is up from 8.3 percent in 2002. The increase mostly reflects a recent rise in use of marijuana, the most commonly used illicit drug.

The alarming indicator is that Heroin is on the rise ranking third in drug use and the most deadly.

Happiness is a mood and moods are temporary... Joy is eternal and Joy is through the Good News.  Let us share the Good-News, and sharing is done at the ‘dinner-table’ with families, this is the original social media, not Facebook, or Twitter.  The statistic that 24.6 million Americas which is 9.4 percent of the USA are aged 12 or older as drug abusers is a factual deterioration of the family-unit.

Today is more a blog as we address the ills of society.  Let us turn our thoughts to praying for this nation and while spending the remainder of today’s message in our devotion to our Lord and savior as we look Jesus and letting Him be the Author and Finisher of our Faith.

TEXT: Ephesians 6:18
New International Version (NIV)
18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

Commentary:
Praying to the Lord is the Most-Important Meeting we can have in our daily lives…
All other things we do are secondary, as only our Lord can Divinely prepare us for the day, He can smooth our tasks, inspire us, give us His Blessings, and by His Grace we can cope with all aspects of life’s responsibilities.

Now this is the confidence that we have in Him (Jesus) that if we ask anything according to His will. He will hear us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.  From: 1 John 5: 14-15 NKJV

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundant above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.  from Ephesians 3:20 NKJV  When we serve others by spreading the Good News, we are sprinkling the Fragrance of our Lord Jesus, and we also get the sweet smelling fragrance on ourselves… meaning that we are privileged to be a Vessel bearing the sweet smell of our Lord and Redeemer, and while we spread His Fragrance our Lord also blesses us with His Grace…2 Corinthians 2:15  New King James Version (NKJV) 15 For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing.

Action/Coming to our Lord:
Hebrews 10:22: "Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith.
Seek Him while He may be found…Isaiah 55:6
Seek the LORD while he may be found; call on him while he is near. Isaiah 55:5-7 (in Context) Isaiah 55 (Whole Chapter)

1 John 5:3-4 New International Version (NIV)
3 In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, 4 for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.

Prayer:  Heavenly Father in Jesus our Redeemer and our Sovereign Eternal God in One of Your Holy Trinity, we come to seek Your Divine Guidance today.  Lord Jesus because You are on the Throne of Righteousness and intercedes for us Lord, We ask Your Blessing and we Thank You Lord for Your Graciousness.  Lord we thank You for the many Visitors coming to our English, Spanish and Chinese sites, bless our Visitors and grant Your favors on each one, Lord Jesus bless this mission of Good News Forever that it will bear fruit for Your Glory.  We pray in Your Holy name Lord Jesus and to You is the Power and the Glory Now and Forevermore… Amen.

Devotionals Wednesday September 8, 2015

Morning:

Focus:       What’s the Prime of your life? Is it 40-50-60 or?  It is a combination of physical, mental by adding Spiritual your Prime is extended.

There’s no age at which we are best at everything, or even most things… Josh Hartshorne at Harvard University conducted the study that even concluded there could be an upside in your flagging libido.

Our mental abilities rise and fall in waves as we keep on developing skills, we may even expand our reading comprehension and our mathematic skill improves.  The age old idiom of ‘You can’t teach an old dog new tricks’ may be not so true, but it may mean that it is very difficult to teach someone new skills or to change someone's habits or character.

So getting better with age may not only apply to vintage wines, but we are an amazing creation and more so when we add God to the equation of aging.

When God chooses you you could be as old as ever, as His mission in your life will be fulfilled, Let’s look at:

  • Noah was 500 years old when he started to build the Ark, and 600 years old when he entered the ark.
  • Moses was 80 years old when he entered the palace of Pharaoh to tell him… Exodus 5:1

[First Encounter with Pharaoh] Afterward Moses and Aaron went in and told Pharaoh, “Thus says the Lord God of Israel: ‘Let My people go, that they may hold a feast to Me in the wilderness.’

  • David killed Goliath when he was only 15 years old…

So regardless of your age, be prepared to serve the Lord.

EVENING:

Coming to our Lord:

His Faithfulness:

Jesus the giver of Life – everlasting, remember that a ‘Free’ Gift had to be bought by the giver, and Jesus bought His Priceless Gift with His Life by dying for us, and His Payment was Redeemed by the Father as He Rose from death. Morning:

Focus:       How the resurrection of Jesus will affect our future? Don’t worry about the details, just do as He said and your future will be with Him

When we think of the future how far ahead are you looking?  The near future and the distant future, they are all ‘One’ as we do not control the tomorrow much more the months or the years ahead.  But because of Christ’s Divine Resurrection we have a future that is already defined.

Reflecting back that our Lord was crucified with two criminals. Of the four synoptic gospels only in Luke do we see the remarks from the two criminals on the cross engaged in conversation. One of the criminal bitter in pain, made this statement to Jesus… “What a deceiver you are Jesus – you a messiah – now’s your moment – prove it!”  The criminal on the right, “how dare you sneer in the face of God, we deserving of this fate, not he. Remember me when you come into your kingdom Jesus.” And Jesus responds “I will remember you. Today you will be with me.”

Pilate submitted his verdict – three times innocent. The Sanhedrin continued their persecution of Christ. Herod took no legal action, The Roman centurion affirmed Christ by saying…  “Truly this was the Son of God!

”Matthew 27:53-54 New King James Version (NKJV) The great earthquake

53 and coming out of the graves after His resurrection, they went into the holy city and appeared to many.

54 So when the centurion and those with him, who were guarding Jesus, saw the earthquake and the things that had happened, they feared greatly, saying, “Truly this was the Son of God!”

[The Vision of Paradise] It is doubtless not profitable for me to boast. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord: In Context | Full Chapter |

Our study today is to focus on Jesus’ pardon as we consider the two ‘criminals’ not to say that we too are criminals, but the event revealed that sinners are the equivalent of the two crucified thieves, as we too are violators of God’s trust, you may say when I did that? Before you were born you had that blemish that was handed down from Adam, and therefore Christ came to die for us and through Jesus’ assurance of His saying “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”

Jesus made available to any of us His Assurance when we acknowledge Him just as the thief on the right who said…“how dare you sneer in the face of God, we deserving of this fate, not he. Remember me when you come into your kingdom Jesus.” And Jesus responds “I will remember you. Today you will be with me.”

Devotionals Monday September 7, 2015

Morning:

Focus:           Is the future too complex for us to comprehend? Where is heaven? Is God there and will we find our way there? Find out by reading on…

TEXT: Jesus Made Fully Human

Hebrews 2: 5-18 NIV

It is not to angels that he has subjected the world to come, about which we are speaking. But there is a place where someone has testified:

“What is mankind that you are mindful of them, a son of man that you care for him?
You made them a little lower than the angels; you crowned them with glory and honor
and put everything under their feet.”

In putting everything under them, God left nothing that is not subject to them. Yet at present we do not see everything subject to them. But we do see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.

10 In bringing many sons and daughters to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through what he suffered. 11 Both the one who makes people holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters. 12 He says,

“I will declare your name to my brothers and sisters;     in the assembly I will sing your praises.”

13 And again, “I will put my trust in him.”

And again he says,

“Here am I, and the children God has given me.”

14 Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil —15 and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death. 16 For surely it is not angels he helps, but Abraham’s descendants. 17 For this reason he had to be made like them, fully human in every way, in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that he might make atonement for the sins of the people.18 Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.

Read the text above carefully, it should provide the answers to the complexity of the future and reveal that heaven exists, verse 5 above referred to the world to come and verse 6 affirmed that there is a place where He has testified, and the rest of the text affirmed that God made Christ the head of the Kingdom to come… as Jesus is not ashamed to call His elect brothers and sisters and He will also declare your name to His Father.

EVENING:

Invitation: We can come to our Lord Jesus right where we are and he will receive us, and we can have His assurance that we will be saved by His Blood

Romans 8:11 New International Version (NIV)

11 And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.

His Assurance:

Romans 5:11 New International Version (NIV)

11 Not only is this so, but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.

Matthew 26: 41 NIV

Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

Prayer: Lord Jesus we come to You knowing that You are on the Throne of Righteousness and You intercedes for us, Lord, be with our Visitors and fill us with Your Holy Spirit, direct our pathways as we seek to be led by Your divine guidance as the Author and Finisher of our Faith.  And by Faith we come and accept You Lord knowi9ng that all things work for good to those that love You, and in acknowledgement of Your Word, that You will never leave us nor forsake us, Lord we give You our Praises and to You Lord Jesus is the Power and the Glory, now and forevermore… Amen.

Morning:

Focus:      The Church’s one foundation, all the cathedrals and temples made by man will be destroyed, why? God does not dwell in man-made temples

TEXT: On this Rock I will build My Church…

Matthew 16:17-19New King James Version (NKJV)

17 Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. 19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed[a] in heaven.”

Picture this… Jesus standing in front of Peter and Jesus said to Peter… You are Peter, and on you I will build My church, Jesus never said on ‘you’ I will build My church, He said on ‘this’ rock, why is the text reading on ‘This’ and not on ‘You’. Because Jesus was pointing to Himself and saying on ‘This’ Rock, He Jesus is the Rock.

It is evident that Jesus was clearly telling Peter you are Peter and I am the Christ, the Rock. Jesus did went on saying that He would give ‘you’ the keys of the kingdom of heaven, again we see that Jesus said ‘you’ , and Jesus added that whatever ‘you’ bind on earth will be bound in heave, and whatever ‘you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. In all instance when Jesus gestured and referred to Peter He used ‘You’ but the reference of ‘on this’ He was pointing to Himself.

Jesus is the Cornerstone as the Scriptures clearly stated that He (Jesus) is the Cornerstone…

1 Peter 2:6

Therefore it is also contained in the Scripture, “Behold, I lay in Zion A chief cornerstone, elect, precious, And he who believes on Him will by no means be put to shame.” In Context | Full Chapter

We see in this verse of 1 Peter above, it clearly states… “And he who believes on Him will by no means be put to shame.”  There is no other name given to man by which we can be saved, and this is whom we believed… Jesus Christ the only Savior.

We have said that there will be no Catholics, Presbyterians, Methodist, Anglicans, Buddhists, Moslems, or any ‘organized’ religious groups in the Kingdom of God, only those of one-category…”Born-Again” So all the ‘Rituals’ the order of worship, the Hierarchy and leaders of the ‘church’ none of this will entitle anyone to His Kingdom.

It is only as Jesus said… John 3:3

Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” In Context | Full Chapter |

2 Thessalonians 2:3

Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, In Context | Full Chapter

Focus on Jesus the Sole-Mediator between man and God.

1 Timothy 2:4-6New King James Version (NKJV)

who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time,

Prayer: Father we come in Jesus our Redeemer and our Sovereign Eternal God in One of Your Holy Trinity, Lord Jesus in awe we come knowing that all things were created by You as The Father Spoke and You acted in His Holy Spirit. Lord today we come to You seeking Your Divine Blessings and Your guidance, as we say that Your Hands are ‘Over’ us, and what we do, as You Lord do not need help, so we place all things in Your Hands and look to you knowing that all things are possible for those who trust in You Lord. Devotionals Saturday September 5, 2015

Morning:

Focus:  Are you an ‘Overcomer’? There are 58 verses in the Bible on Overcomers… Read on and see why, because Christ ‘overcame’ the world.

Thoughts for the day:       A Good start will not count if you do not finish well

Topic: Getting to the Winner’s circle, being on the podium and receiving the trophy, but to lose it because you cheated will disgrace you and your country.

Text:

John 16:33

These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” In Context | Full Chapter

1 John 2:15-17 New International Version (NIV)

On Not Loving the World

15 Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. 16 For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. 17 The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.

Commentary:  When we sin we not only disgrace ourselves, but we offended our Lord, we are sending Him to the cross over and over… God do not believe in ‘Double-Jeopardy.  He died Once! And He Rose forevermore…

There is a recent resignation of the pastor of one of the largest Mega-Church (in Florida) our understanding of his action causing his resignation was because of ‘Personal Transgressions against the Lord”.  This is just what the press likes to report, it sells newspapers.  But here was a ‘Man’ who came to town from the famous Sin-City ‘Las Vegas’ after He came to the Lord, was commissioned to form a chapter of a large church-ministry, through the Grace of the Lord built one of the largest congregations in South Florida on a large campus and fell from grace.  This is the kind of news that ‘Scoffers’ like to feed on.

We are not coming to the defense of the Transgressor, but as Jesus said…  “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.”

John 8: So when they continued asking Him, He raised Himself up and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.”

We do not know what ‘sinister’ role that this pastor had, and we pray for the congregation that that they may look to the Lord as the Lord Jesus is the Fountainhead and they are in Oneness in Christ and not to this fallen pastor.

Remember we are all human… and as Jesus said there’s none ‘good’ and all our ‘Righteousness’ is just a filthy rag.

When King David committed the sin of adultery and followed up with having the husband killed, here we see an ‘anointed’ man falling to the wiles of the devil.

We are reminded today that the closer you are to the Lord, the more the devil will be working overtime to derail us from our fellowship with the Savior.  The evil one even attempted his evil action on Jesus… Jesus said… 10 Then Jesus said to him, “Away with you, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.” Matthew 4: 10 NKJV

So let us rebuke the evil one by using the Power of God’s Word….

EVENING:

No one is immune to sin…

Can God Change my life?

He is willing… but what if we are not willing to change our old ways?

When we come to Jesus our High Priest, He intercedes to His Father our Creator, we are told to come to HIM boldly and make all petitions known with Thanksgiving in Prayer to our Lord Jesus.

How can we be changed to be bulletproof from temptation?

No one is immune to temptation to sin, even Jesus was tempted but He remained Sinless, he used the scripture to thwart the temptation of the devil.

We too need the Two-edged Sword to thwart the temptation which is more than ever a blitz in lights, on the TV, the Internet, Print and music etc.  We have to look beyond the temporary pleasure that is abominable to our Lord.  We need to ask for His help in overcoming the urge.

1 John 1:9 New International Version (NIV)

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

His promise goes beyond our today’s need…

Philippians 1:6 New International Version (NIV)

being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

His Promise / His Faithfulness:

Before Abraham… Jesus was the Great I AM….

In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.

Conclusion:

The one sure thing that we can say will be from the Lord, this will be known as ‘The Day of the Lord’

“But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare. Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives” 2 Peter 3:10-11 NIV

Psalm 32:6
Therefore let all the faithful pray to you while you may be found; surely the rising of the mighty waters will not reach them. Psalm 32:5-7 (in Context) Psalm 32 (Whole Chapter)

Prayer:

Heavenly Father in Jesus name we come, Lord Jesus today as we seek Your Guidance and Your divine Providence in our lives, Lord let us be led by Your Holy Spirit.  Lord we look to that day in Faith, when You appear we shall see You as You are, and we shall be transformed in the twinkling of an eye. Lord Your Word said, In You dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily, and we are complete in You Lord Jesus, and You are the head of all principalities and Power. Lord bless our Visitors and grant us all Your favors as we pray in Your Holy Name Lord Jesus to You is the Power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen

Devotionals Friday September 4, 2015

Morning:

Focus:          Ending the week on a good note… let there be a ‘song’ in your heart and that song can keep you in harmony

With a Song in My Heart is a 1952 biographical film which tells the story of actress and singer Jane Froman, who was crippled by an airplane crash on February 22, 1943, when the Boeing 314 Pan American Clipper flying boat she was on suffered a crash landing in the Tagus River near Lisbon, Portugal. She entertained the troops in World War II despite having to walk with crutches.

There are many beloved hymns composed by those that suffered adverse health and disabilities but they all had a ‘song in their heart’ thanks to people like Fanny Crosby, 1820-1915Fanny Crosby was probably the most prolific hymnist in history. Though blinded by an incompetent doctor at six weeks of age, she wrote over 8,000 hymns. About her blindness, she said: It seemed intended by the blessed providence of God that I should be blind all my life, and I thank him for the dispensation. If perfect earthly sight were offered me tomorrow I would not accept it. I might not have sung hymns to the praise of God if I had been distracted by the beautiful and interesting things about me.

Fanny Crosby wrote...”Blessed assurance Jesus is mine”

So as we imagine a life without sight, let us give thanks for the ‘inner-sight’ given to us all so today, let us stop and think what is the small-voice in us saying… Jesus is saying “come unto to me all those who are heavily burden and I will give you rest”

The Peace that Jesus gives will provide you with a lifetime of harmony, because he said…

TEXT: John 14:27

Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. In Context | Full Chapter

Receive His Inner-Peace today, as we can take our Lord at His Word because He our Redeemer Lives! And because of His gift of His ‘Peace’ to you and His assurance of not to worry nor be afraid, we can boldly come to Him and thank our Lord Jesus for his mercies.

His Faithfulness:

Yes we can receive His ‘Priceless-Gift’ right now and be made a Joint-Heir in Christ our Savior.

Morning:

Focus:  God chose Shepherds to come and praise the new Born Emanuel… God uses ordinary people especially humble ones to be His messenger

Remember the Dead-Sea Scrolls found by the shepherd boy? What a revelation that authenticated the Scriptures in many ways.

The great commission from our Lord, is to spread the Gospel, and the Gospel is the ‘Good-News’ The following Text outlines the treasure in ‘earthen vessels’ and the greatness of His treasure will demonstrate great power from Him (God) and not from ourselves.  The Text also point out that we are to showcase Him and not have Him hidden I the Earthen Vessels.

TEXT:  “Knowing that He who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus”

2 Corinthians 4:7-18 (NASB) But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the surpassing greatness of the power will be of God and not from ourselves; we are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; 10 always carrying about in the body the dying of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body. 11 For we who live are constantly being delivered over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh. 12 So death works in us, but life in you.

13 But having the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed, therefore Spoke,” we also believe, therefore we also speak, 14 knowing that He who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus and will present us with you. 15 For all things are for your sakes, so that the grace which is spreading to more and more people may cause the giving of thanks to abound to the glory of God.

16 Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day. 17 For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, 18 while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal

Acts 4:12

And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:11-13 (in Context) Acts 4 (Whole Chapter)

Principle: For where two or three are gathered together in His name, He is in the midst… (Matthew 18: 20)

When we look at how God’s subtle ways of revealing His Truth, we must also remember that Jesus was there at the beginning of it all, and He was before Abraham, known as the ‘Father of many’.

Even though we read that the sons of Jacob, Levi and Judah born to Jacob and Leah, Levi as the tribe of Priest, and Judah as the linage of Jesus, we need to know that 2015 years ago when Christ was born this was not the first time He was here, as He was at the day of Creation and in the Garden with Adam, but Jesus who was prophesized 700+ years before He was born to be crucified and suffer for our sins, read Isaiah 53, His birth in Bethlehem was to come among us so that we could accept Him by coming as a Man.

His Resurrection is a Witness of what He has endowed for those in Jesus who shall also share in His Glory through His Divine Redemption.

Yes we can receive His ‘Priceless-Gift’ right now and be made a Joint-Heir in Christ our Savior.

Matthew 10:32

Morning:

Focus:  Have you ever been deceived? Consider the deception by the Gibeonites’ (Joshua Chp 9) Joshua was deceived yet he kept his promise

As we read about the deception of the Gibeonite against Joshua, today there is mass-deceptions being carried on by many including nation against nations. We address the Iran nuclear deal and the release of billions while our nation is being deceived and not doing what Joshua should have done…  The Israelites failed to inquire of the Lord when they were being deceived by the Gibeonites.

The deception of the Israelites by the Gibeonites gave them no victory but they were spared and placed into service to serve the Lord’s temple as woodcutters and water-carriers.

The deception being carried out by the Iranians will result in a nuclear-arms race and the outcome of this will still be fruitless, why? Because God said…”No weapons formed against my people will prosper”

TEXT: Isaiah 54:17  No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and this is their vindication from me,” declares the Lord. In Context | Full Chapter

Read about the well-planned conceived by the Gibeonite…

Joshua 9 New International Version (NIV) The Gibeonite Deception

9 Now when all the kings west of the Jordan heard about these things—the kings in the hill country, in the western foothills, and along the entire coast of the Mediterranean Sea as far as Lebanon (the kings of the Hittites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites)— 2 they came together to wage war against Joshua and Israel.

3 However, when the people of Gibeon heard what Joshua had done to Jericho and Ai, 4 they resorted to a ruse: They went as a delegation whose donkeys were loaded[a] with worn-out sacks and old wineskins, cracked and mended. 5 They put worn and patched sandals on their feet and wore old clothes. All the bread of their food supply was dry and moldy. 6 Then they went to Joshua in the camp at Gilgal and said to him and the Israelites, “We have come from a distant country; make a treaty with us.” 7 The Israelites said to the Hivites, “But perhaps you live near us, so how can we make a treaty with you?”

8 “We are your servants,” they said to Joshua.

But Joshua asked, “Who are you and where do you come from?”

9 They answered: “Your servants have come from a very distant country because of the fame of the Lord your God. For we have heard reports of him: all that he did in Egypt, 10 and all that he did to the two kings of the Amorites east of the Jordan—Sihon king of Heshbon, and Og king of Bashan, who reigned in Ashtaroth. 11 And our elders and all those living in our country said to us, ‘Take provisions for your journey; go and meet them and say to them, “We are your servants; make a treaty with us.”’ 12 This bread of ours was warm when we packed it at home on the day we left to come to you. But now see how dry and moldy it is. 13 And these wineskins that we filled were new, but see how cracked they are. And our clothes and sandals are worn out by the very long journey.”

14 The Israelites sampled their provisions but did not inquire of the Lord. 15 Then Joshua made a treaty of peace with them to let them live, and the leaders of the assembly ratified it by oath.

16 Three days after they made the treaty with the Gibeonites, the Israelites heard that they were neighbors, living near them. 17 So the Israelites set out and on the third day came to their cities: Gibeon, Kephirah, Beeroth and Kiriath Jearim. 18 But the Israelites did not attack them, because the leaders of the assembly had sworn an oath to them by the Lord, the God of Israel.

The whole assembly grumbled against the leaders, 19 but all the leaders answered, “We have given them our oath by the Lord, the God of Israel, and we cannot touch them now. 20 This is what we will do to them: We will let them live, so that God’s wrath will not fall on us for breaking the oath we swore to them.” 21 They continued, “Let them live, but let them be woodcutters and water carriers in the service of the whole assembly.” So the leaders’ promise to them was kept.

22 Then Joshua summoned the Gibeonites and said, “Why did you deceive us by saying, ‘We live a long way from you,’ while actually you live near us? 23 You are now under a curse: You will never be released from service as woodcutters and water carriers for the house of my God.”

24 They answered Joshua, “Your servants were clearly told how the Lord your God had commanded his servant Moses to give you the whole land and to wipe out all its inhabitants from before you. So we feared for our lives because of you, and that is why we did this. 25 We are now in your hands. Do to us whatever seems good and right to you.”

26 So Joshua saved them from the Israelites, and they did not kill them. 27 That day he made the Gibeonites woodcutters and water carriers for the assembly, to provide for the needs of the altar of the Lord at the place the Lord would choose. And that is what they are to this day.

The Faithfulness of the Lord…

2 Corinthians 10:4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. In Context | Full Chapter |

Application:

On a personal level we face deceptions on a daily basis. As the devil is on a constant prowl…

1 Peter 5:8 [Full Chapter] Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

Be armed with the ultimate weapon…

Ephesians 6: 14-17 14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;

Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.

Ephesians 6:10-18
 [Full Chapter]
[The Whole Armor of God] Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the  power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. ...

Principle: Be sober, be vigilant and always inquire of the Lord and place your Trust in Christ, make Him the Author and Finisher of your Faith.

Prayer:  Heavenly Father in Jesus we come…  Lord as we learn from the event of the Gibeonite against Your servant Joshua, we seek to bring everything to You and to make You the Author and Finisher of our Faith. Lord today we thank You for this opportunity to tell of Your Divine Power and Your everlasting Covenant to Your people that no weapon formed against us will prevail. Lord we thank You for our Visitors and we seek Your blessings on us all. We pray in Your Holy name Lord Jesus and to You is the Power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen.

Morning:

Focus:  Count your blessings, re-imagine the challenges and seek the help of the chief designer, builder and provider, He is always ready to help.

Focus on the blessing and get to the source of the solution, re-imagine the challenge by imaging the desired outcome, because the problem is already solved.

Sometime the answer that we seek is not what we get, but what you received may be a better way as God’s plan for you is far greater that what we can imagine.

TEXT: Philippians 4: 4-9

New American Standard Bible (NASB)

Think of Excellence

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.

Our calls to our Lord should be made known to Him. Knowing that our Lord knows what we have need of before we ask, but He does want us to make our request known to Him….

Philippians 4: Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Let us focus on the following principles...

One: That our Lord is the same and HE never changes, His message is the same, “You must be born again”…. John 3: 7 as He said…You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.’ (These are the Words of Jesus)

Two: That when we come to the Cross and receives Jesus, we need to know that it is by HIS GRACE that we are saved… Ephesians 2: 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—… The Key word here is FAITH, and the 2nd is the Gift of God…

Three: To accept Jesus...First we have to come to Jesus and in Faith accept Him knowing that he is our Redeemer and that it is by His Divine Gift of His Redemption by his Grace we are saved.

EVENING:

Conclusion:

His Faithfulness:

Jesus the giver of Life – everlasting, remember that a ‘Free’ Gift had to be bought by the giver, and Jesus bought His Priceless Gift with His Life by dying for us, and His Payment was Redeemed by the Father as He Rose from death. His Resurrection is a Witness of what He has endowed for those in Jesus who shall also share in His Glory through His Divine Redemption.

Yes we can receive His ‘Priceless-Gift’ right now and be made a Joint-Heir in Christ our Savior.
