Do not act irrationally, it usually leads to the wrong decision…

Many of us experienced the outcome of being irrational at times.

Jonah when told by the Lord to go to another Nineveh to warn them God’ impending destruction. Jonah made an irrational decision; the second irrational decision was to be angry with God.

We are all created as ‘Free-thinkers’ and having this freedom, we will choose the wrong things especially lured by the marketing blitz.  Some things are obvious that are done in our lives by applying intelligence; but rational thinking is not always applied. So, when we stray off course, we will be reminded of why you cannot get in your car and floor the accelerator pedal from the get-go.  Why? The consequences are either being spun out of control, burning the tires, or just ramming another vehicle or an object because of one’s insanity.  This brings us to the irrational action that usually comes with consequences. 

In life the consequences are far more than having a damaged or wrecked automobile, Life is a Vapor, The Bible said… James 4:14

Whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.

Principle: You can’t ‘Test-Drive’ Christianity… to see if it works for you!

His Promise / His Faithfulness: Deuteronomy 6:2

that you may fear the Lord your God, to keep all His statutes and His commandments which I command you, you and your son and your grandson, all the days of your life, and that your days may be prolonged.

Deuteronomy 28:13

And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them.

Conclusion: The Followers of Jesus gave their lives for the Gospel, Why? Because they knew His Resurrection was TRUE…

The book of ACTS is about The Holy Spirit and the Disciples, as we see that Christ gave them the Holy Spirit that empowered them with the Power to Heal, and to Proclaim Him with Authority and be Fearless, they did this as they were filled with His Holy Spirit, “The Comforter” that HE said He would send after He ascended into Heaven.

Today we can boldly come to Jesus our High Priest as our Sovereign God, as he said “It is Finished” and the Temple Veil was torn, and by His Blood we are saved as He, Jesus is our Intercessor and our Mediator and He will never leave us not forsake us.

Accept His Invitation today; come to our Lord as He is willing to accept you just as you are…

Pray:  Heavenly Father in Jesus our Redeemer we come knowing that You are on the Throne of Righteousness and through You Lord Jesus we can be Redeemed as we come with a contrite heart seeking Your Forgiveness, Lord we thank you for our Visitors and Your Saving Grace and we give You our Praises and to You Lord Jesus is the Power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen.

Principle… We can Trust Him… Our Lord Jesus is Faithful, and He Loves us!

Text:  Isaiah 58: 11 NKJV
The Lord will you continually and satisfy your soul in drought, and strengthen your bones; you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose water do not fail

The Providence of our Faith in Jesus…

Do Not Worry

25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

His Faithfulness:

The Good News for today is:

  “The battle is not yours, but God’s. … stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem! Do not fear or be dismayed.   2 Chronicles 20:15, 17.” 

“Do not be terrified. … The Lord your God, who goes before you, He will fight for you” (Deuteronomy 1:29-31). 

“All this assembly shall know that the Lord does not save with sword and spear; for the battle is the Lord’s” (1 Samuel 17:47). 

“If God is for us, who can be against us? … In all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us” (Romans 8:31, 37). 
                                                                                                                                                                                                           You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

Conclusion:  The text above said…”you are of God” and if you are,  Davids Psalm/Prayer applies to you and the Providence of our Lord will flow to you as our Lord is faithful… Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever…

Prayer: Heavenly Father in Jesus we come.  Lord today as we affirmed Your Sovereignty knowing that Your Goodness and Mercy shall follow us all the days of our lives not just here but forever in Your Kingdom to come.  We thank You Lord for our many Visitors. Lord bless each of our Visitors as we ask that Your Word will bring many to You for Your glory. We pray for those in Your mission-field, Lord equip them and lead us all to Your Green-Pasture.        What have we accomplished this week? Did we enlighten someone about Christ?

Remember only what’s done for Christ will last…So consider what we accomplished this week, was is sustainable? Was it a legacy or was it just another so-so week?

Regardless of what you did, when you walk in the ‘Light’ you are proclaiming the preeminence of the Lord.

Matthew 5: 14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

As Jesus said…

Matthew 6:  33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

When we worry, what do we do? We worry because we lack faith… We must believe that the Word of God said…

OUR LIVES ARE A REFLECTION OF OUR FAITH…To live a Life worthy of our (his) Calling, but while we are showing that we belong to Jesus Christ, I must walk with Humility and Gentleness, patience, bearing one another in love, striving to keep unity in peace, and be a Believer as a member of the Body of Christ. Ephesians 4: 1-16 

Solutions… we all seek solutions, in all stages of life we have sought solutions of doing our schoolwork, and in our adult lives we are seeking solutions to life’s challenges that can be a constant quest. 

Now, more than ever in a changing world of economic make-over, global uncertainties and the interference of the forces of evil in all levels of our lives…. 

We need the Armor of God!

Jesus said in His declaration of the Beatitude He said:

Matthew 5: AMP

12 Be glad and supremely joyful, for your reward in heaven is great (strong and intense), for in this same way people persecuted the prophets who were before you.

13 You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste (its strength, its quality), how can its saltness be restored? It is not good for anything any longer but to be thrown out and trodden underfoot by men.

Lord we thank You for Your Divine Redemption and the Grace that You have extended to us. Lord thank you for remembering us as without Your Grace we are hopelessly lost, but through Your Blood of Atonement we are cleansed and by Your Resurrection we are Redeemed in Victory over this world. Lord we thank you for the privilege of serving You to bring Your Good News to our Visitors. Lord, thank You for the Visitors and we seek Your Blessing to all.               Get up smell the Roses… do some deep breathing and meditate on God’s word.

Getting up enjoying the fragrance and do some exercise and deep breathing and mediating on The Word and Precepts of the Lord…

This would be a great way to start the day.

Don’t worry about getting old… you are being ‘renewed’ not a new and improved, but being made the ultimate

Artificial intelligence is the buzzword of our time ‘Ai” is said will replace many functions relieving humans of menial jobs. So sometimes in the future we will be served by a robot programmed with Ai as they will be the Grunt-workers… a thankless and menial work. Grunt work can also refer to jobs that lack glamour and prestige or are boring and repetitive.

Devotional: 

Lord Jesus as we read Your Word of assurance, we thank You for Your promise that You will never leave us nor forsake us… Therefore, Lord for those that are having their loved ones being challenged Your assurance that all must come to You as a little-child, and we say Lord that those with dementia are reverting to be a child and as said, they will stretch out their hands and another will carry them where they do not wish, as their actions are like a child.  Lord bless those who are caregivers and let the burden be lightened as they come to this message knowing that the best is yet to come, as you have provided a place of splendor for us all.

Coming to the Lord:

       Can an Old dog can leThuarn new tricks?

if you say you can teach an old dog new tricks,  or you believe an old dog can learn new tricks, you then believe that  it is possible to get people to try new ways of doing something.

There’s one important thing young and old must lean, and it is not a ‘Trick’ it is a Gift.

Recognize the deceit of Sin… overcome the tempter by calling on Jesus...
Sin is danger, and the same when the Terrain Awareness Warning System (‘TAWS’) in the airplane says…Terrain, Terrain, then it is time to send out the distress Mayday-Mayday call. (or before).

The deceit of sin is a combination of our thoughts, our vision and finally action.  But the Bible said… If we look and lust, we have sinned.  But if you are ‘Tempted’ and look-away and did not partake of the temptation before it becomes a desire, then you have averted the sin. Just like when the TAWS instruct you to ‘Pull-Up’ and if you do, you are no longer headed to an impact.

We need the Holy Spirit to be in-dwelling to help us avert the impact of sin. Just like the Pilot needs of the Air-Traffic controller to guide him to safety.

So, call on the Lord, when the devil calls, send the Holy Spirit to repel him. Jesus said… “I will never leave you nor forsake you?

Hebrews 13:5

Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” In Context | Full Chapter

We are all ‘blemished’ even before you committed that ‘self-inflicted’ sin, but this does not mean that you can continue to sin because of God’s Grace…The ‘Power’ of God’s forgiveness is through Jesus who died in our place as a sacrifice for our sins.

Remember the ‘Power ‘of God, just like when He instructed the Israelites to carry the ‘Ark of Covenants’ that divided the water, so they could cross over the Jordan. These super-natural powers have not sub-sided or abandoned by God. So, as the Bible reveals the Day of the Lord, when the last Trumpet will sound, and He will appear, let us not diminish what is foretold as ‘too dramatic’ to be reality.

The ‘Day of the Lord’…

2 Peter 3:10

But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare.

This event will be as real as the circling of the wall of Jericho. Even in our 21st century military arsenals, we have nothing like the Ark of the Covenants, and the Lord’s Trumpet that will be heard.

Joshua 6:20

When the trumpets sounded, the army shouted, and at the sound of the trumpet, when the men gave a loud shout, the wall collapsed; so, everyone charged straight in, and they took the city.

Jesus’ return is eminent, and He is bringing His Rewards with Him…

Revelation 22:12

Jesus Testifies to the Churches] “And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to everyone according to his work.

The Word of the Lord is True and eternal, as Jesus said…

Mark 13:31 Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.

John 8:51 Most assuredly, I say to you, if anyone keeps My word, he shall never see death.”

Can one believe there is a God and do not know Jesus His Son? You can ‘believe’ there is a God, but you will not know Him… because No one comes to the Father unless through His Son Jesus.  No one has ever seen God, except His Son.

We do not have a Faceless God, No one has ever seen God except His Son Jesus who is God in one of the Father.

Hebrews 4:14

[Our Compassionate High Priest] Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.

Hebrews 4:15

For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.

 Losing but gaining? Yes; lose the fat gain muscle stamina & vitality

Good health is essential, but many are doing more harm by choosing to indulge.

Living by the principle of everything in moderation.

The array of what not to eat and what’s good for you may be causing more confusion.

Certainly, organically grown vegetable is best, Non-GMO is also good. Making the choice to buy low fat may be good, but it may be ‘low-fat’ but high in sugar, or Oil or other substitutes. Gluten-Free is another new labelling standard.

What we know that that ‘blowing; the Chaff away and leaving the Wheat is what we are to do in our lives. So, lose the dead-weight, soar to new high and sail along the silvery moon.

Matthew 3

2 He is ready to separate the chaff from the wheat with his winnowing fork. Then he will clean up the threshing area, gathering the wheat into his barn but burning the chaff with never-ending fire.”

So, make It is a wonderful day… a day to be thankful. Inspite of any challenges, give thanks to the Lord for the Best is yet to come.

Focus: Lord, what a difference a day makes... Today let us Praise our Lord for He is Worthy.

We are set apart… The Good News for today is:

Just as Paul prayed for the Ephesians...  this prayer is applicable to us all today...

Ephesians 3: 17-21 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ,

 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.  20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.

5 Let your moderation be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.   6 Fret not about anything, but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God.

When we have received the Favor of our Lord as He is Faithful and will grant us our request when we ask in faith, we are to pray with Thanksgiving and to use His provisions for the purpose and not turn away when we have been delivered, you are to continue to seek Him and give Him the Glory.

When you have had great deliverances out of troubles and turmoil, remember to say…, "I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears." And supplied all I have needed because our Lord is Faithful… Praise Our Lord Jesus who sits on the Throne of Righteousness.  www.goodnewsforever.org

     Less is more… less sitting = more/better health,  less sugar = healthier, and longer life.

Conversely more is good when eating Blueberries… high in antioxidant, good for the brains, joints and lots of fibers, plus; fish and leafy green vegetables are a necessity to a balanced meal.

A good idea is to have a standing workstation, this will avoid a prolong sitting session in front of the computer

So, less is more… and this includes a clean desk and less clutter. But this may be more wishful

 Thinking… as one tends to have a lot of papers etc. junk Mail of both types, electronically and paper copies account for a great deal of clutter. So, get your mail close to a waste basket or the shredder, and mark  all spam mails as junk,

The Utopia of God’s Kingdom will have junk mail and spams eliminated, these and a lot of annoying calls from telemarketers and robot calls, all gone… !

As someone said…”I can’t wait for the Lord’s return’ I guess we all would like Him to come ASAP, but He is not tardy, He is allowing all to come to know Him…

Yes, we all would like His return, but He said not until the Gospel is preached throughout the world, then will the end come. So, use the time you have to spread His Good News and not just waiting.

If you knew the cure for a decease and not share it, this is a selfish approach to life, yes you do know the cure for one of the most dreadful decease, and the cure is Jesus, so share His

Life-Giving Grace with all.

When Jesus cured someone of a decease, He also forgave then of their sin. Only Jesus can forgive sins, we can forgive other of the wrong they did, and by doing this we also are forgiven, so do more forgiving as it is the best stress reliever. And the key impediment to  healthy living is stress. So, the top of your list should be ‘less stress=better health’.

The top ‘More’ should be a closer walk with the Lord, this will enlighten you and; this is what we all need.

Commentary: Keep Asking, Seeking, knocking:  “ASK” Luke 11: 9-12

“So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. 11 If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? 12 Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? 13 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”

Note: Philippians 4: 6 (The Amplified New Testament)

Verse 6: Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything by prayer and petition (a defined request) with thanksgiving continue to make your wants known to God.

Notice the key words are:

  • Do not fret
  • Every circumstance
  • By Prayer & Petition
  • With Thanksgiving
  • Continue your request to God

Give thanks to our Faithful Lord and Savior as He provides all our needs… as stated in: 

Philippians 4:19 New International Version (NIV)

19 And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.

Prayer:

 Father through the Redemption by our Lord Jesus, we are blessed and privileged to be in Your Holy Presence through Jesus, as we acknowledge that no one comes to You unless in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.  Lord bless our Visitors and guide our pathway and lead us to Green Pastures and the Water of Life.  Lord You are the Living Water that we shall never thirst as we come to You and Pray these in Your Holy Name Lord Jesus, to you is the Power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen.

God gave us ‘Free-will’ and we are able to choose the pathway in life. But, God can change the course of our lives.

When He chose Moses, Noah, Jonah and Paul we saw the minute details of How God interacted with whom He chooses.

Moses was Eighty when called by God to lead the Israelites, Noah lived a long time as he was commissioned to build the Ark and save the species to repopulate the world.

Jonah ran and hide, but God found him, and even to the minute details of how God re-directed him to go to Nineveh.

Is God calling you today?

The Amazing Power of the Lord is evidenced by all activities of Jesus, because He is the Great I AM, I often reflect on how the Lord sent Phillip to board the chariot of the Ethiopian Eunuch and brought him to Christ. Why, this was God’s plan for the nation of Ethiopia to be a Christian nation which is 62% Christian even today.

Present in the Upper Room were, Jews, Persian, and many nationalities, the Lord wanted His Holy Spirit to reach these men to bring the Gospel home to their host countries.  Peter was blessed with the Holy Spirit and his preaching brought Three thousand to the Lord.

When you know Christ…

 it is not a casual event. That inner-voice and your communion with Him, trusting Him knowing the presence of His Holy Spirt that is indwelling in us.

For those of us who are parents and having the experience of the first ‘new-born’, remembering early days of coping with an infant and reacting of what to do next…

What could make a child different from others? Most likely it could be their demeanor. This could be from Facial appearance, attitude and sometimes displaying a lack of emotions or even advance maturity or conversely very childlike.  But above all the ‘Innocence’ of a child must be appreciated and respected.

Reading about Albert Einstein he could have been a challenge to his parents as he never uttered a word until he was four years old…

From the day of Creation God provided us with the goodness of His creation and gave us dominion over all living things. Just imagine, the creation of Heaven and Earth were made for Mankind… just think that God in His Infinite Wisdom by His Intelligent design did all this for us. Why” because He loves us... But we betrayed His trust and sin entered the lives of humans, now as descendants of Adam we inherited this blemish called Sin.  But nothing surprises our Majestic God; He provided a way for us to be redeemed by the Blood of Jesus. Jesus, who was with God and the Holy Spirit from the beginning of it all, Jesus was predestined to be our Redeemer.

     The Lord wants to give you His Kingdom, He wants you to have a Mansion in the Sky…

Today the richest Zip code in the USA is Fisher Island in Miami Beach (ZIP code 33109) is home to the country's wealthiest, with an average annual income of $2.2 million. Fisher Island is an exclusive 216-acre island located minutes off the coast of Miami and is only accessible by yacht or private ferry.

And the poorest…

The poorest ZIP code in America, for both mean and median household income, is 16501 in Erie, PA, according to the 2017 U.S. Census data.

In the richest community above, you will find many that are unhappy, and conversely, in the poorest community above, you will find many that are happy. So being rich doesn’t make you happy and filled with the peace.

Commentary:

There was a book ‘Do you sincerely want to be rich’…written by an infamous investor that created what he called the Fund of Funds, which was a forerunner to the now standard Mutual Funds investment platform.  This innovator made a lot of money riding on the backs of the most successful Wall Street brokerage firms, and played the market with some degree of safety due to his formula. His method irked the Wall Street power base and then the SEC stepped in and drove him offshore.

 The ending result of this once successful operation went into oblivion; with all investors losing their money.  In a desperate move to survive, the founder brought in a ‘trusted’ individual that swindled the entity. This  individual that was supposed to be the ‘White-Knight’ came to ‘Raid’ instead of a rescue. The Rescuer fled to Cuba after gaining control of the assets, he eventually died in Havana... (The Rescuer became a famous Fugitive)

This is a fine example of…

            Stop ‘Telling’ & start ‘Teaching’. Show others how to Fish, how to receive God’s blessings

Let’s teach rather than ‘Telling’

Sharing the Gospel is a good approach. So, how do we share? We share by example; we share by placing ourselves in other’s place to determine what they face.

It is easy to just say…” God loves you and so do we”; but, for someone who is undergoing extreme challenges in life… to them talk is superficial.

It takes ‘Care’ and compassion to extend Trust, and ‘Trust’ is what builds confidence in the relationship.

We can Trust Him… Our Lord is Faithful, and He Loves us!

The Lord will guide you continually and satisfy your soul in drought, and strengthen your bones; you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose water do not fail

His Faithfulness: The Good News for today is:

“Do not be terrified. … The Lord your God, who goes before you, He will fight for you” (Deuteronomy 1:29-31).

Being a good-Steward doesn’t mean that you must to be stingy, maybe frugal. But as the Bible said about… Seeing your brother in need.

Deuteronomy 15:11 There will always be poor people in the land. ...

... I am commanding you to share freely with the poor and with other Israelites in need. ...
I command you, ‘You shall open wide your hand to your brother, to (others in need)

           You are ‘Rich’ and well provided for…Are you aware of this? Find out…read more…

Are you a ‘Vessel of Mercy”? if so, then His ‘Riches’ were prepared beforehand for you.

The Faithfulness of the Lord:

You see, riches here on earth is just temporary, ‘Real Riches’ is what Jesus gave us, He made us a ‘Joint-Heir’ in His Kingdom, a Kingdom not made by human hands and will never be shaken.

What is the meaning of the saying of ‘Who has first given that it might be paid back to Him again’?

While we are so journeying to Him His riches entrusted in our hands are as provided by Him according to His riches in Glory, and as we all know… The cattle on a thousand hills are His.

You see… we are just a custodian, and when you are made His custodian, we must be a good steward.  Example of who was a bad steward, this was Judas, ironically, the Lord allowed him to be the treasurer as he carried the bag of money the disciples needed to buy food, etc.

We all know the ending of Judas...

Verse 36 above clearly stated that ‘from Him and through Him and to Him are all things, and to him MUST be the Glory Forever…

Commentary:

We will be entrusted with the Money-Bag, but we must be a good steward, and once we are; the Riches will be entrusted to you.

Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways!

So, His ‘Riches’ go far beyond the ‘things’, it comes with ‘Wisdom & Knowledge, and let no one be disillusioned, God’s unsearchable judgements and unfathomable Grace are from Him.

Remember the Father trusted us, so much that He gave us ‘Free-Will’ but there is a boundary set, and this boundary is governed by…

Romans 9:23

And He did so to make known the riches of His glory upon vessels of mercy, which He prepared beforehand for glory.

Nothing lasts forever, even bad leaders, and the good ones too… Retirement is a resignation, so do not resign continue to serve…

Whom do you serve? Are you serving as a Steward, a Trustee, a beneficiary or a benefactor? We all serve in these as each of us are a beneficiary.  But being a beneficiary, we must also be a benefactor as a faithful steward fulfilling the role as trustee to be able to share the Gift that Christ endowed to us all. 

No one likes to be a ‘charitable-case’ but we are mere humans, and Jesus said…”Without Me you can do NOTHING” therefore in the sight of the Lord it is by His mercy that we can receive clemency, because he is lenient not in just Words, but by His Sacrifice at Calvary that his Blood was shed for us fulfilling His Redemption.

Conclusion:

To know Christ:  Repent (Turn from your sins) and by faith receive Jesus Christ into your heart and life and follow Him in obedience as your Lord and Savior.

Pray this prayer of Commitment: Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name I pray Lord Jesus… Amen.

Prayer: Father in Heaven by the Grace of our Lord Jesus we come in Your Holy Presence.  Lord Jesus we thank You for presenting us to the father as You Jesus is our Mediator and by your Righteousness we are redeemed by Your Grace. Lord we thank You for Your Divine Redemption  as we thank You for our Visitors, and we ask Your blessing on each as we go in faith spreading the fragrance of Your love and in You we have victory. He wants you to have the ‘Best’ not second best… He has provided the Best, just Ask!

There are multiple criteria that governs how themLord will release His best. They are earned by working overtime, nor are they given because you are entitled to it.

The best is granted when we are capable of handling it.

When God inspired the writing of the 23rd Psalms, as we read it below…

A Psalm of David.

The LORD is my shepherd;

I shall not want.

2. He makes me lie down in green pastures;

He leads me beside quiet waters.

3. He restores my soul;

He guides me in the paths of righteousness

for the sake of His name.

4. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,

Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

5. You prepare a table before me

in the presence of my enemies.

my cup overflows.

No, the above is not a utopia, it is not falling down the rabbit hole, it is a statement of facts.

Imagine a King that said…”you are no longer a servant but my friend”

The fiction by Mark Twain… The Prince and the Pauper tells of two boys that switched identities with the Prince growing up as a Pauper and the beggar growing us as the Prince. The time came when the Prince was to be crowned, the real prince showed up, but he was unable to prove that he was the real prince. The Sham-Prince did help him to prove that the ‘Pauper’ was the real Prince as they had switched roles.  The real Prince was restored to the monarchy with the assistance of the sham-Prince, who was later granted a position in the royal household.

The real King that said, ‘You are no longer a servant but a Friend’ He is Jesus the King of kings. Jesus came from His place of Splendor, a place He called Paradise. He came to His own and His own did not receive Him.

The condescension of Christ

“For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.” 2 Corinthians 8:9

In the garden Jesus could have used his power to call twelve legions of angels to his rescue (Matthew 26:53), but instead he employed it to heal the ear of one of his enemies (Luke 22:51). On the cross he could have used his power to save himself, but instead he continued to employ it to save others—his enemies, including us (Romans 5:10).

Prayer:

Heavenly Father in Jesus our Lord and Savior we come. Lord Jesus it is with humility we acknowledge Your Sacrifice knowing that You art the Great Jehovah-Jireh…  Our Messiah and God in One of our Father in Your Holy Trinity.

Lord today we can come to You boldly as You gave us this privilege. Lord we acknowledge that You Ascended to the Throne of Righteousness sitting at the Right Hand of our Father Creator. Lord bless this day as Lord; let the message be clear and let many receive Your Salvation for Your Glory.      God forgives, not because of our intent, He forgives when we repent and come to Him

Know this…  You are an ambassador of a kingdom mightier than any country, start now…

Not only are you a representative of the Almighty, He has empowered you, and equipped you with the most advanced weapons.

And, we are to know this… that while we are engaged by HIM, in His Service, we are on His great Dance Floor, enjoying JOY and Peace that no one can give you.

Greater is HE in us than anyone.  We are, and we do this in Meekness, and  Humbleness knowing that we know the answers as we end in Victory in Christ.

Remember… it’s like watching the Game, and your team is down three point with two minutes to go, don’t get too concerned because you already know that your team did score the winning goals. So be content, be at peace and know that comes what may, noting can deter us.  His Holy Spirit is with you and us all…  Praise God in the Name of Jesus our Lord and Savior.

Our God is Greater, Stronger and He is Omniscient, Omnipotent and no one like HIM.

A famous man once said, “Although I do not want to live as Christians do, I would like to die as they do”  Obviously this is impossible as a man living without Christ cannot please God, and without Faith this person will never be in the  presence of God.

Paul writing to the Galatians encapsulated the key points of Jesus’ teaching. We will take a brief look back on Paul who was a persecutor of Christians, he even witnessed the stoning death of Steven, and how Saul later known as Paul became a Vessel of Christ. The  Lord chose him and made him a vessel, in fact we read that Paul was not boasting when he said he know of a man that was taken to the third heaven… this is where he received the knowledge of the Good News that he was commissioned to bring to the Gentiles.

Paul was a privileged individual, yet he was imprisoned, suffered at the hands of ‘scoffers’ but he prevailed and was ‘refined by fire’ and became 24 Karat Gold to boldly proclaim Christ Jesus as His Lord.

The most important appointment of the day is: Coming to our Lord,  today we are focused at ‘Freedom’  as we read below… Christ our Redeemer has set us free!

     God forgives, not because of our intent, He forgives when we repent and come to Him

Know this…  You are an ambassador of a kingdom mightier than any country, start now…

Not only are you a representative of the Almighty, He has empowered you, and equipped you with the most advanced weapons.

And, we are to know this… that while we are engaged by HIM, in His Service, we are on His great Dance Floor, enjoying JOY and Peace that no one can give you.

Greater is HE in us than anyone.  We are, and we do this in Meekness, and  Humbleness knowing that we know the answers as we end in Victory in Christ.

Remember… it’s like watching the Game, and your team is down three point with two minutes to go, don’t get too concerned because you already know that your team did score the winning goals. So be content, be at peace and know that comes what may, noting can deter us.  His Holy Spirit is with you and us all…  Praise God in the Name of Jesus our Lord and Savior.

Devotional for Monday: September 16, 2019

      God loves us not because of our ignorance, but because He created us in His Likeness…

None of us will ever consider our self to be ignorant, we all consider ourselves to be wise.

        God will finish what He has started, and in you His Plan, He will complete…

God will only start goodness in our lives… and the good that He has sown in us He will nurture and bring it to maturity. One may wonder what is that ‘Goodness’ is it always for His own Glory?

Some examples of whom God chose to be blessed with His ‘Goodness’ were not benevolently declared, as in the case of Joseph, whom his brothers sold, and subsequently saved them, or Moses, who God chose to serve the nation of Israel. We see that Job who lived a rich life, suffered the loss of his fortune and health, but; God restored it all and more. In the case of Boaz, who married Ruth and played a part in the lineage of Jesus, all the ‘Goodness’ in these men were guided by the Lord.

So, today as Scripture said…  Philippians 1:6

being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ; In Context

History is still been written, what you do today or yet to be done, could be part of tomorrow’s history. You may say that… ‘I play such an insignificant role in the world’ and as such, you may say you cannot make history. An incident like just speaking to your neighbor over the fence, could impact him or her, who I turn tell other of Christ, and your message continues on and reach a hundred and keep growing. This is highly possible, as the beauty of mathematics enlarges the outreach exponentially., if you tell 10 people about Christ in one Month and those ten that heard the message spread it to another 10 at the end of  the 10th month you would have reached 10,240 people in total.

So, don’t procrastinate and start spreading the Joy of the Lord. Layup treasure I heaven…

Know the difference of ‘Telling’ versus ‘Teaching’

Know the difference of ‘Loving’ versus ‘Sympathy’

Know the difference of Forgiveness versus a Ransom-paid.

Know why God gave His Forgiveness and when we say Jesus Paid It ALL, Jesus ‘Absorbed’  the Wrath of God, Our ‘debt’ is to God the Father and Jesus our Redeemer, because Jesus took our place on the Cross and died in our place, so that we may have Life-Everlasting in the presence of God.

Why did God ‘Forgive’ because when Adam sinned… we all are marked by Adam’s disobedience to God’s command. But God wanted us to be ‘Restored’. Through Jesus, the Wrath of God was removed from us by Jesus Himself drinking of the Cup of God’s Wrath.

Mark 15:39

And when the centurion, which stood over against him, saw that he so cried out, and gave up the ghost, he said, Truly this man was the Son of God.

When Jesus died on the cross, even those who crucified Him and mocked Him, finally declared… Truly this man was the Son of God. The death and Resurrection of Jesus was not ‘staged’. This event was prophesied over 700 years before Jesus came.

 

Isaiah 53:5 

But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

 Commentary: Jesus told His disciples how He would be arrested, tried, tortured and crucified and that he would ‘Rise from the dead’ three days after.  All of these events were fulfilled. 

The next ‘Big-event’ that Jesus spoke about is yet to be fulfilled, but as we say…remain-calm. Because His Word will never fail, Jesus said…

Matthew 26:64

Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless, I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power and coming in the clouds of heaven.

Mark 13:26

And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.

 

Mark 14:62

And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.

All of what we see, hear and witness in our daily lives, the ‘noise’ of politics, cares of the world, coping with issues, these events could lead us to say, where are You Lord? But we all know He is right here and His physical return will occur.

Because the daily events over shadow the promise of the Lord, we may not be able to imagine that His statement of… “And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory”. We may say this event is reserved for another time, and it is going to take a major catastrophic event for Jesus to get the attention of the people on earth.

We cannot imagine the scope of what it will take to accomplish what Jesus spoke about. But He is God, and just as His Father spoke, and He created, the same process will take place. Only this time, rather than constructing, it will be a de-constructing mode.

As Jesus spoke of gathering His elect from the four-winds….

 

Matthew 24:31

And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four-winds, from one end of heaven to the other. In Context

Mark 13:27

And then shall he send his angels and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.

So, today… rather than re-arranging the deck-chairs on the Titanic, seek out a lifeboat, we all know that there weren’t enough lifeboats on board the Titanic, and earth as the next Titanic doesn’t have a lifeboat. But, Jesus came, and He revealed the way to safety…

John 14:6

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

1 Thessalonians 4:17

Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so, shall we ever be with the Lord.

But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which theheavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

Many say that the planet will remain, but what Peter described is what we adhere to, knowing than in the heavenly realms, it will not be business as usual. Because it will be a new creation…

Isaiah 65:17

For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.

 

Conclusion:

Revelation 21:1

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

Praise the Lord we shall be in a Sanctified place of splendor and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, Lord of Hosts, as we acknowledge Your Covenant of Grace knowing that Your Word will be fulfilled, and we shall be gathered in Your Holy Presence.  Lord we thank You for our Visitors and we go in faith knowing that all things work together for Good as we love You Lord.    Be alert… Seek the light, be sure it’s not an oncoming train, but the exit to splendor.

Why you cannot blend into the crowd when you are a Child of God?

The ‘Halo’ effect, this is when a person stands out, usually by… characteristics that included such things as leadership, physical appearance, intelligence, loyalty, and dependability.

Why are you special? He made us a unique group because He has set us aside…  We are wrapped in cotton, protected and guided…

Jesus spoke of the Lost Pearl… and in more than one way He was expressing His own experience…

Jesus gave many example of those that went astray and returned, such as the Prodigal son, and the story of the lost sheep.

We can adopt these examples to ourselves and in many way,  Jesus was expressing His own joy of finding us, as today we acknowledge Him and know that His Grace abounds in our life...  as God demonstrates His own love towards us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.  Romans 5: 8 NKJV

Not only did Jesus redeemed us by His Divine Resurrection, He made us Joint-Heirs…

Share the gift that leads to a wonderful life, share the Gospel…

Each year the classic movie… ‘It’s a Wonderful life’ is shown at Christmas season. It is a portrayal of life. It's a Wonderful Life (1946) ... - Turner Classic Movies

We all are like George Bailey… we all need a Clarence to reveal the many good things that occurred in life because of what you did. It could be just a passing response to someone’s asking directions. In life you may get a response to asking where is the ramp to the Freeway? and it could be…”stay in the right lane and it is right there”, or, “I suggest you read the signs and follow the instruction”

Know the difference of ‘Telling’ versus ‘Teaching’

Which of the above answer would you consider to be helpful? To me the latter, as it is a lesson to finding your way on your own. This piece of brash advice led me to the ability of driving across the USA, Canada, Germany, Italy, Switzerland and most of the continents.

By giving the best advise of all, it can be life-changing… This is sharing the Gospel.  What is the Gospel?  It is the record of Jesus' life and teaching in the first four books of the New Testament.

 The privilege of having the Gospel is often overlooked… Why? Because of Jesus, and His abiding Grace.

It’s all Paid for, no need to bring wallet, cards or money to receive It…

Because it is the ‘Perfect-Will’ of God… and His Will is far above our comprehension.

Come and buy without money… “If all it took was money anyone could do it”

For He Chose us in Him before the Creation of the World to be Holy and blameless in His Sight… So, you are special.

We can count on our Lord’s graciousness, and He said He will never leave us nor forsake us.  Finally, we want to remind everyone that it is not Faith that saves us, it is GRACE, and only by His Grace we are saved through Faith in our Lord Jesus.

          Share the joy by rejoicing, it will always outlast happiness. Joy is Rejoicing in the Lord.

                   Spiritual growth is achieved in fellowship and daily walking with the Lord.

Growing bean sprouts is done by placing beans under cover where they remain in total darkness,

They sprout rapidly it cannot grow to maturity. Placing the same beans into the ground, they will grow into a tree and produce many more pods of beans.

So, there’s no Short cut to spiritual maturity, unless you had the Damascus road experience of Saul when he was struck down. In a flash Saul was blinded and underwent a spiritual change. Paul’s Transformation was Life-changing; and any one can have the same when the Lord chooses that Person.

The Deity of Jesus Christ

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.

Commentary:

One of the first day of creation… God said…”Let there be light and there was Light” but He did not yet created the Sun, there was a diffusion of Light in a Gaseous form, but God declared let there be Light and then He said it was Good…

If the Sun was not yet created what was the source of this Light?  We must first look at John 1. In the Beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Now we see the Light that God Declared... ”Let there be Light” This will be revealed as we go to chapter 9… 9 There was the true Light which, coming into the world, enlightens every man. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. 11 He came to His own, and those who were His own did not receive Him. 12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, 13 who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.

Colossians 1: The Incomparable Christ

13 For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, 14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

Join the winning team… Remember the white Cliffs of Dover… there’s always tomorrow…

9-11 is a day that America will never forget. At this time, we will mention that day without re-hatching the agony of what took place.

We want to focus on the positive, reflecting on the brave young men that flew bombing missions over Germany.  And remembering how the sight of the White-Cliffs of Dover meant homeward bound. The Lord has blessed this nation that did what was needed to end the tyranny and stop the evil empires. 

The Cross is the timeless White Cliffs of Dover… It is where safety is found, and our Lord Jesus is standing to welcome His followers to His place of splendor. So, today we are fearless just like those flying Ace that flew their missions and liberated Europe and we shall also conquer in His Name.

And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.

The Lord will make level the mountain, and the winding roads will be straightened…

Be aware of the slow leak, be conscious of what depresses you, confer with Jesus…

Remember when you were a child running down the street as fast as you could because there was a race to be win, and you we’re about to win and then the most horrible thing happened, you tripped and fell. The tears came falling and mom came running to you and cleaned up the wound and bandage you up. Then the smile returned.

Your parents understood a little scrap, and infection could set in.

In the spirit the rules are the same. Galatians 5:9 A little leaven leavens the whole lump of dough.

When you lie for instance to others and to yourself, it compromises your heart (spirit). At first you may say, it was nothing but infection in your heart has begun.

Jesus is wanting to walk this life out with you.  With him there is joy unspeakable and full of glory.

Prayer: Jesus it was for our freedom that you set us free, thank You that You stand with us so we will not be subject to the yoke of slavery again. You have called us as kings and priest to be your ambassadors. No longer do you call us slaves but friends. Bless our Visitors, as we praise You in Your Holy Name Lord Jesus Amen.

Father we come in Jesus our Redeemer and our Eternal Sovereign God in One of Your Holy Trinity. Things to consider…

For Pastors and leaders…. two things to ponder… In our prayers, Jesus is always present, so we always end our prayers by telling Him… “In you Name we pray”. Not the third-party inference of: “in Jesus name we pray.

Secondly…? If we do not do the alter call, we must end with the Lord’s Supper. If we don’t. How would a pastor feel if someone in the audience wanted to come to Christ, but the service ended and while that person who wanted to accept the Lord was walking to his car he was hit and died? This happened when Dwight Moody one night did not do the alter call and it was the night of the great Chicago fire and many perished. He never ended another sermon without the alter call.

Who needs Prayer?

Bringing the needs of your friends or colleagues to the Lord, you gift may not be a physical gift. But, the ‘Gift’ of the Lord’s providence, His healing power and His abundant life will be far greater than anything you could give that person.

Ephesians 3:20 (NASB)

20 Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us,

Jesus said He came that we would have life and have it more abundantly…

Text: Revelation 3:20  

Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come into him and will dine with him, and he with Me.  Revelation 3:19-21  

Commentary:

Behold my Jesus stands at the door and knock. While He can enter without opening the door, but He is calling me to receive Him, and His mission is to bring me Joy, as he said as I stand at the door and know and if I answers,

He will come in and dine with me.  What a privilege this would be to sit at a table set by my Lord and to be just like when He sat at dinner with the disciples.

Just think how Jesus would bring me great news of what he has prepared for me and to give me insight of what to come? I can imagine that the table setting would be with delicacies of fruits, nectars, fishes, meat and bread.  I can imagine how He would pray over the setting and thank His Father and then feast with me as He prepared only the best.

On the day of the Last-Supper….

May we be reminded that the absence of Lamb being served, this was because at the table was the ‘Unblemished Lamb of God… Jesus as the Lamb of God.

His Priceless Gift is something we cannot purchase, earn it, inherit it or own it because we ‘deserve’ it.

This is the Grace of God…

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.

Can you imagine that when you arrive in Heaven you meet this fellow who said…’Let me tell you how I got here’ I made it on my own, because I am the greatest.    Mohammed Ali once said:” I am the Greatest” but remembering that we are mere humans, created in the Likeness of God… but we are born with a blemish.  This blemish is ‘sin’ as by one made sin entered into the world, and by One Redeemer we are saved.

Therefore, being redeemed by the Blood…

whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His

The Provider is Jesus, and it is by Him and Through Him that His Unique Gift can be given. There’s no other name that one can be saved.

Many may say…” Why do I have to be Saved?” Because you were born with a ‘Soul’ and your Soul will live forever, and the second question; so? What’s the problem here? As a descendant of Adam, you and all were born with an inherent blemish, this is Sin…

So, you may ask… I did not ask to be born, and now I am told that I am a sinner, even though I have lived a clean life and am a law-abiding citizen?

Yes, you are marked with the scars or sin. But God in His mercies, sent His Son Jesus to redeem you and though His sacrifice on the cross, your sin are washed away when you come to Him and received His Redemption.

When you come and ask to be saved, you are Redeemed from condemnation and are now saved by His Grace.

Conclusion: Whom God chooses; He will see that His (God’s) plan is carried out through the one He chooses. He chose, Abraham, Isaac & Jacob, and He may have chosen you too. For certain He knows you by name, even before you were born.  So, as we aim for Success to achieve that utopia, let us seek Fulfillment through our Lord Jesus. Because He said Seek Him First and His Righteousness…

 “Your new Visa is valid for 10 years” but your ultimate Visa is perpetual with no expiration, get it now.

Visiting some countries, they will issue you a Visa for up to 10 Years, and right here at your country of origin you will need no Visa, but you will live for maybe 90 or more years. So, where’s your permanent place of abode?

Jesus said…. He went to prepare a place for you and where He is you will be also. Also, the place that Jesus will provide is an eternal Home, no Visa needed, no aging, no move-up or move down, just the ultimate place of Splendor and beauty.

Imagine a city where the streets are paved with Gold? A place where there will be no automobile fumes, no noisy air-Conditioners, no congested street and no waiting in lines.

No hospitals and no police.

And the best part of being in this city, you never have to leave…

Revelation 21:18

The construction of its wall was of jasper; and the city was pure gold, like clear glass.

Commentary:  The question what will you be doing when you get there? Will you be doing more of the same? Is the more of the same what our Lord would consider acceptable?

In Heaven there will be One Lord, One God and He is Jesus… Every knee shall bow, and every lip will give our Lord Jesus the Glory knowing He is Lord and God in the Holy Trinity of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, dwelling among us all in His Kingdom.

Heaven is a place fully sanctified and ‘Hardened’ (hardened means to be protected from radiation) against sin, there will be no deceit, no greed, no immorality, no Hollywood, no jails and no hospitals, no cemeteries, only LIFE and it will be Ever-Lasting, no Power Grids, because our Lord will be the source of Light, and the Joy from him.

Jesus gave us all a ‘glimpse’ of the above, but our finite brain power could not break the barriers. Because our ‘Faith’ has limitation that prevented us from reaching His dimension, remember Jesus said…” I am not of this world”; therefore, be prepared for un-bridled Joy in a place of un-imaginable Splendor described by Jesus himself as “Paradise’

Mark 16:19

[Christ Ascends to God’s Right Hand] So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.

Authors and story writers have given us nursery rhymes, Peter Rabbit, Alice in Wonderland, Mickey Mouse and all us have grown up watching Sesame street, with Elmo and Big Bird… These are all acceptable across the board in all levels of society.  But when it comes to God, the Bible and Christianity, this is where the Word of God becomes vetted and now being voted by our law makers that the Bible cannot be brought on Campus in many branches of our Military.

In fact, the ACLU sued to have a painting of Jesus removed from a school that hung it its place since 1947, and they have actually tried to place warning labels on the Holy Bible.  The oxymoron meaning of American Civil Liberties Union that ‘advocates’ individual rights, then if this is their quest, then they need to be abolished, as many of their actions are against civil liberties of individuals.

Minute erosions of our religious freedoms are being instituted by atheist groups and even by those with leaning toward embracing the Sharia law of Islam.  This is a small trickle that will turn into a roaring river of reform that will significantly change the texture of this great society.

John 3: 16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. 

19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.20 Everyone who does evil hates the light and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. 21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.

Prayer.  Father we come in Jesus our Lord and savior. Lord as we end this day, we thank You for Your Graciousness and we place all in Your Holy hands. Lord let Your Holy Spirit be with us as we thank You for Your Favors and Your Faithfulness in meeting our needs and the needs of our Visitors. As we focus of the Power of Prayers, we give Praises to the Father and to Jesus our Redeemer…

David’s Prayer

1 Chronicle 29

10 David praised the Lord in the presence of the whole assembly, saying,

“Praise be to you, Lord,
    the God of our father Israel,
    from everlasting to everlasting.
11 Yours, Lord, is the greatness and the power
    and the glory and the majesty and the splendor,
    for everything in heaven and earth is yours.
Yours, Lord, is the kingdom;
    you are exalted as head over all.
12 Wealth and honor come from you;
    you are the ruler of all things.
In your hands are strength and power
    to exalt and give strength to all.
13 Now, our God, we give you thanks,
    and praise your glorious name.

14 “But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.15 We are foreigners and strangers in your sight, as were all our ancestors. Our days on earth are like a shadow, without hope. 16 Lord our God, all this abundance that we have provided for building you a temple for your Holy Name comes from your hand, and all of it belongs to you. 17 I know, my God, that you test the heart and are pleased with integrity. All these things I have given willingly and with honest intent. And now I have seen with joy how willingly your people who are here have given to you. 18 Lord, the God of our fathers Abraham, Isaac and Israel, keep these desires and thoughts in the hearts of your people forever, and keep their hearts loyal to you. 19 And give my son Solomon the wholehearted devotion to keep your commands, statutes and decrees and to do everything to build the palatial structure for which I have provided.”

20 Then David said to the whole assembly, “Praise the Lord your God.” So, they all praised the Lord, the God of their fathers; they bowed down, prostrating themselves before the Lord and the king.

Romans 11:33-36

Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!

34 “For who has known the mind of the Lord?
Or who has become His counselor?”
35 “Or who has first given to Him
And it shall be repaid to him?”

36 For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen.

Prayer:

Lord Jesus we Praise You and give You the Glory, as we thank You for Your Divine Providence, Bless our Visitors and grant us Your Peace.

            Spending the future, yes, all governments are doing this. Why? Every budget is full of waste, and mismanagement.

A budget deficit is when spending exceeds income. The term applies to governments, although individuals, companies, and other organizations can run deficits.

Are churches doing the same?

In ministries, many church leaders are doing a great job, but some by the adoption of a ‘business-model’ of more is good; and the over-expansion can lead to the same outcome of being on a treadmill of needing more donors to meet the obligations.  While The Lord said take nothing on the journey to His disciples, we need to let the mission be His, and let us not build trophies but follow the Lord’s instruction and let it all be His will.

An example is the Glass-Cathedral built in California that grew and grew that it incurred a billion dollars in debt and subsequently went bankrupt.

 

The Good News… God does not have anything against being rich, in fact Jesus had many friends that were rich, such as Joseph of Arimathea, Nicodemus, and we see Christ chose Paul (Saul of Tarsus) who was a persecutor of Christians, Saul was a Tent-Maker, recent studies are now revealing that Paul came from a well-off family that gave him an education and gained his citizenship as a Roman. 

Here we see that Jesus chose people of above average means to serve His mission.  As the text below states (Mark 10:26) Jesus said, “Children, how hard it is for those who trust in riches to enter the kingdom of God! Let us focus on the directive of this sentence… How hard it is for those ‘who trust’ in riches…

His Faithfulness:

Jesus the giver of Life – everlasting, remember that a ‘Free’ Gift had to be bought by the giver, and Jesus bought His Priceless Gift with His Life by dying for us, and His Payment was Redeemed by the Father as He Rose from death. His Resurrection is a Witness of what He has endowed for those in Jesus who shall also share in His Glory through His Divine Redemption.

Yes, we can receive His ‘Priceless-Gift’ right now and be made a Joint-Heir in Christ our Savior.

To know Christ:  Repent (Turn from your sins) and by faith receive Jesus Christ into your heart and life and follow Him in obedience as your Lord and Savior.

Pray this prayer of Commitment: Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name I pray Lord Jesus… Amen.

       What have we accomplished this week? Can we do what we postponed, reach out to that person and say… “God loves you and so do I”

While the above outreach is a friendly gesture with a message of God’s love, we need to proactively spread the Good News of Christ’s salvation and to extend the invitation to come into His Kingdom…

Not all of us are mission focused to spread the Good News, but the reality is, a person as a friend, most certainly you would want he or she to have the Joy of knowing Christ.

The finest example of one spreading the Gospel of Christ, as seen in the event of Paul’s testimony before King Agrippa and Governor Festus…

Acts 26
Paul Recounts His Conversion

12 “While thus occupied, as I journeyed to Damascus with authority and commission from the chief priests, 13 at midday, O king, along the road I saw a light from heaven, brighter than the sun, shining around me and those who journeyed with me. 14 And when we all had fallen to the ground, I heard a voice speaking to me and saying in the Hebrew language, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads.’ 15 So I said, ‘Who are You, Lord?’ And He said, ‘I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. 16 But rise and stand on your feet; for I have appeared to you for this purpose, to make you a minister and a witness both of the things which you have seen and of the things which I will yet reveal to you. 17 I will[b]deliver you from the Jewish people, as well as from the Gentiles, to whom I now send you, 18 to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified[d] by faith in Me.’

Paul’s Post-Conversion Life

19 “Therefore, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision, 20 but declared first to those in Damascus and in Jerusalem, and throughout all the region of Judea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent, turn to God, and do works befitting repentance. 21 For these reasons the Jews seized me in the temple and tried to kill me. 22 Therefore, having obtained help from God, to this day I stand, witnessing both to small and great, saying no other things than those which the prophets and Moses said would come— 23 that the Christ would suffer, that He would be the first to rise from the dead, and would proclaim light to the Jewish people and to the Gentiles.”

24 Now as he thus made his defense, Festus said with a loud voice, “Paul, you are beside yourself! Much learning is driving you mad!”

25 But he said, “I am not [e]mad, most noble Festus, but speak the words of truth and reason. 26 For the king, before whom I also speak freely, knows these things; for I am convinced that none of these things escapes his attention, since this thing was not done in a corner. 27 King Agrippa, do you believe the prophets? I know that you do believe.”

28 Then Agrippa said to Paul, “You almost persuade me to become a Christian.”

29 And Paul said, “I would to God that not only you, but also all who hear me today, might become both almost and altogether such as I am, except for these chains.”

30 When he had said these things, the king stood up, as well as the governor and Bernice and those who sat with them; 31 and when they had gone aside, they talked among themselves, saying, “This man is doing nothing deserving of death or chains.”

32 Then Agrippa said to Festus, “This man might have been set free if he had not appealed to Caesar.”

King Agrippa said to Paul…

28 Then Agrippa said to Paul, “You almost persuade me to become a Christian.”

‘Almost becoming a Christian’ still is insufficient… As we say: ‘You cannot test drive’ being a Christian, you are either born-again in Christ or you remain unsaved.

Paul’s conviction of the Mercies of Christ made him a ‘Vessel’ for the Lord.

We too can do as Paul did, Paul stood before King, Governor and his peers, the Lord chose this former persecutor of Christians and made him a cornerstone in building His Kingdom built on the foundation of Christ the Solid Rock on which we stand.

Without Christ, you are building on ‘Sand’ With Him as the Cornerstone, you are on Solid Rock…

Conclusion:

Ephesians 2:8

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—

Prayer:   Heavenly Father in Jesus our Lord and Savior we come. Lord Jesus it is with humility we acknowledge Your Sacrifice knowing that You art the Great Jehovah-Jireh…  Our Messiah and God in One of our Father in His Holy Trinity.

Lord we thank You for Your Grace Your Love and Your Divine Redemption. Lord we thank You for the many Visitors and we ask Your blessings upon each one and we thank You for Your Favors to all. Thank You Lord as we pray in Your Holy Name Lord Jesus to you is the Power and the Glory now and forevermore… Amen.

This Monday as we start another week, let us stop and thank the Lord for sparing the USA from the  full impact of the category 5 Hurricane. Imagine a major hit with 186 miles wind speed, the devastation would be catastrophic.

 Praise our Lord for His Sovereignty and His Unconditional love as He is still calling us to come to Him

1 Peter 17: 19 … but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. 20 He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake.

Acts 24: 19 Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God

The fact that outside of Christ I had no spiritual life, meaning without HIS Grace, I could not have any Spiritual Communion with the Living God as under Adam we are all Dead.  John 15:5 Jesus said: “Apart from me you can do nothing” Therefore without Him I am an OUTCAST so I seek Jesus every moment.

Live a life worthy of the calling you have received. 2 Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.

3 Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.  4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.

In our walk with our Lord, we must have communion with Him by…

1) Knowing that God loves us all, meaning we must be rooted in Love. 2) to remain un-shaken and remain strong by the Established Love .3) To be rooted and established in Christ’s Love, 4) To be filled with God’s Holy Spirit, 5) That one must be satisfied and complete in Him, 6) To move towards the full purpose that God intended for us, 7) Let the Power of His Holy Spirit work in us

We can achieve the following by coming to our Lord…

1 Nearness to God, 2) Oneness with fellow believers, 3) Peace with one another, 4) One person out of two, (there are neither Jews nor Gentile in the presence of our Lord) 5) Access by One Spirit to the Father (Only through Jesus we can come to the Father) 6) As a Fellow citizen with the Saint of God’s Household, 7) Build on the Foundation of the Apostles and Prophets, by living for HIM.

Today come to our Lord and listen to his invitation as He said…

Matthew 11:28

 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

Matthew 6:33-34 New International Version (NIV)

33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

His Promise:

No, Jesus has not forgotten us, 2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

Thanksgiving and Prayer

19 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, 19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength 20 he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, 21 far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. 22 And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, 23 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.

Prayer:

Father in Jesus we come, Lord Jesus you have said no one comes to the Father unless through You.... Lord we Thank You as our Eternal Sovereign God in One of the Father in Your Holy Trinity. Lord Thank You for Your Unconditional Love for us and the privilege that You have given to us all. Lord we thank You for Your faithfulness that we can find Your Green Pastures and the Still Waters that You have led us to. Lord Your blessings abound in the lives of all that seek You and You said, Seek You first and Your Righteousness… Lord we thank You and let all Your blessing be upon us and our Visitors. To You Lord Jesus be the Power and the glory now and forevermore… Amen.

What’s wrong with this picture?

The vacant pews, all over the world of many churches, cathedrals in many large cities are experiencing dwindling attendance.

Even in our neighborhood community churches there are less than 65-70% of attendance. On a Sunday morning a typical showing could be as low as 30% and about half an hour after service commence there may be another 5%.

Thoughts for the Day: No one likes to be kept waiting… Are you waiting on God or are you keeping Him waiting?

Good News: Consider that today we have the complete Scripture which is more than the disciples had as they followed Jesus; but they had Christ among them, We have the Comforter, The Holy Spirit, and we have a lifetime of opportunity to Praise our Lord Jesus,

Commentary:  The meter is always ticking, there’s no ‘free-lunch’ you cannot live without buying something or paying. But with Christ, all our lunches are ‘Free’, and the meter is fed…

Our Creator endowed us with the power of proclaiming the Gospel, while the Angels were not given this authority.   This is a little-known fact to many Christians that we were given a higher power than his Angels.

Where do we see this in the scriptures? When Cornelius who was a God-fearing man that sought the Lord, when the Angel appeared to Cornelius, he only spoke telling Cornelius to send a messenger to get Peter to come and bring the Gospel to his household.  Our Lord entrusted us to be messengers of His Good News, so claimed this in the name of our Lord Jesus.

Are we there yet? We are currently East and West of Eden, and the convergence is gathering, as He said Eden will be restored.

Revelation 22:1 [Eden Restored] Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb

According to the Scriptures when the Gospel is preached thought-out the world then the end shall be. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. Matthew 24:13-15 (in Context) 

But we have nothing to worry about, as the end is the beginning of a life in Paradise… Why? because Jesus told the dying repentant thief at the Crucifixion; “Today you will be with me in Paradise”  We posted a note last week, to ‘focus on the Giver and not on what is given’ Therefore, focus on our Lord Jesus Christ as He is our Redeemer and he said no one comes to the Father unless through Him.

Evening:

Knowing Him – Fellowship in Oneness: Be sure we are not separated from our Lord on the Day of the Lord... 

John 3 New International Version (NIV) The Facts:  John 1: 18…No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known.

Since Christ came and Died for our Sins, and if you heard the Gospel and rejected Him, this is dealt with in John 3: 36

John 3:36 New King James Version (NKJV)

36 He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”

The Harvest is bountiful, but the workers are few… Go as instructed, what was the instruction? Love one another, bring His Good News to the ends of the earth, Jesus said… 34 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.  Our Treasure is The Lord Jesus Himself.

Prayer: Father in Heaven in Jesus our Lord and Savior we come… Thank You Lord Jesus that through You our Savior, we are made Joint-Heirs to Your Kingdom. Today we thank You for our Visitors, Lord we pray that many visiting will be guided by Your Good News.  Lord bless this day as we go forward in Faith and knowing that all our needs are provided.  We pray in Your Holy name and to You Lord Jesus our Sovereign God in One of our Father and Creator, to You is the Power and the Glory, Now and Forevermore… Amen.
