The ‘Power’ of His WORD… Because the Word became Flesh, when our Jesus was born.
TEXT:
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
John 1:13-15 (in Context) John 1 (Whole Chapter)
1 Thessalonians 1:5 New King James Version (NKJV)
5 For our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit and in much assurance, as you know what kind of men we were among you for your sake.
Commentary: There’s Power in His Word and there’s Power in His Blood…
Colossians 2:2 New King James Version (NKJV)
2 that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and[a] of Christ, (End of Text)
The ‘Mystery’ of God… When we contemplate a mystery, we tend to have ‘doubt’ but in God through Jesus His son we received ‘Assurance’. When God spoke to Moses, God appeared through a ‘Burning-Bush’ which was on fire but not being consumed. Today we would describe the ‘Burning-Bush’ as a Hologram… The Webster Dictionary defined Hologram as: \ a three-dimensional image reproduced from a pattern of interference produced by a split coherent beam of radiation (as a laser); also : the pattern of interference itself.
Just imagine 3,459 years ago, man saw the first three-dimensional image of God, today in the year 2013 man is just touching the surface of Mars with unmanned exploratory ‘Gadgets’ We may say that we are still groping in the dark.
In 1966 I saw the first Digital print of the Mona-Lisa printed from a digital plotter developed in California by the pioneering firm CalComp, today a wireless printer for the home is selling for just over a hundred dollars. The ability to hit the print key from your laptop and the printer located at the other end of the building starts to print, is this somewhat of a mystery? One of the unexplainable mysteries of all times… Why did the Sun go dark at the Crucifixion?
The Atoning Blood of Jesus and the Blood of the Lamb that marked the door post at the Passover is still an unexplainable ‘force’. But all of what God endowed may be considered mysterious, but He gave us the ‘Key’ to His Mysteries… ‘Faith’
STATEMENT OF FAITH
Our Mission:
The Lay-Ministry of www.goodnewsforever.org is founded on the Credo of belief in Jesus The CHRIST, the Holy Anointed Son of God. Because no one comes to the Father unless through Jesus His Son, for this reason Good-News Central is an Internet based ministry to spread THE WORD.
The
Good News is that Jesus who was written about in Isaiah 53, written 700+ years
before Jesus was born in the year 0000, and Jesus is the Son of God our Creator
and HE is God in One of the Holy Trinity.
We believe
that the Bible is inspired by God, and No one has
ever seen God… This is why our Father and Creator sent His Son Jesus who is our
Redeemer and Sovereign Eternal God in One of HIS Holy Trinity…The Word Became Flesh. John 1: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with
God, and the Word was God.
We believe
in the Ministry of our Lord Jesus, who lived and walked this earth for 33 years
We believe Jesus came and HE was predestined to die for our sins, was crucified and;
We believe in His Divine Resurrection, as HE rose
Triumphantly, three days after, and after spending time with His Disciples for
40 days, ascended to Heaven.
We believe in His Divine Ascension Jesus spoke of His Ascension into Heaven… John 16 Verse 28: “I came from the
Father and entered the world; now I am leaving the world and going back to the
Father.”
We believe in His return, John 16. Verse 16…Jesus
went on to say, “In a little
while you will see me no more, and then after a little while you
will see me.”
We believe in His Redemption,
and by His Gift of His Redemption, Romans 8: 14 For those who are led by the
Spirit of God are the children of God.
We believe in The
Holy Spirit and by His Word that He
would send us His Holy Spirit, Verse 15… The
Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again;
rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And
by him we cry, “Abba Father.”
We believe
we are continuing HIS mission, just like when Peter who denied Christ at his
trial by muttering, ‘I do not know him’ to save himself, but the Lord foretold
that Peter would deny Him three times before the rooster crowed, Our Lord who
is Gracious still chose men like Peter, chosen as a vessel and filled with the
Holy Spirit that spoke with authority on the day of Pentecost, that over 3,000
came to Jesus.
We believe
that one can be saved by the Grace of God by accepting Jesus and have a personal
relationship with Jesus; and like Saul who was a persecutor of the followers of
Christ, that guarded the clothes of those that stoned Stephen and killed him,
but the shining face of Stephen when he saw the our Lord welcoming him home,
something moved Saul, and Saul was struck down and commanded by Jesus who made
him to be a vessel, and Saul that became Paul is a shining example of our Lord’s
Graciousness… (Not Paul’s accomplishment, as we give credit to our Lord and not
to Paul, as he was just a vessel for our Lord), therefore, this ministry is not
a credit to the founder but to Jesus Christ… is the Glory.
Our mission and service are provided because of the Love of Jesus that we are saved by His Grace… so we are here to take the message into the digital age with a difference. This is a ministry that will never ask for money, and in faith we seek our daily needs by HIS Faithfulness… coming from our Lord and not by solicitations. We are inspired by Paul’s faith in Christ…
n Reading from 2 Corinthians 2: 11 Paul’s statement and his modesty of being an unlearned speaker but Paul had the Holy Spirit that gave him the Knowledge from our Lord Jesus that chose him to be a Vessel.
n
This lay
ministry is dedicated to spread the ‘Good News’ and the sponsor/founder is in
faith making the similar statement of
Faith as Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians Verse 6, he was an untrained speaker, but
Paul also said he had the knowledge.
n
Verse 12 is the
Credo of this lay-ministry and our intention is to bring the Good-News
according to the Scriptures, and not like a ‘used-car salesman’. This is one
thing I admire in Paul that said in Verse 7 Was it a sin for me to lower myself
in order to elevate you by preaching the gospel of God to you free of charge?
n We believe at Good-News Forever, we are not doing ‘Good Works’ but ‘God’s Work…
n Paul and the False Apostles
n
2 Corinthian 11:
1 I hope you will put up with me in a little foolishness.
Yes, please put up with me! 2 I am jealous for you with a
godly jealousy. I promised you to one husband, to Christ, so that I might
present you as a pure virgin to him. 3 But I am afraid that
just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be
led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. 4 For
if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached,
or if you receive a different spirit from the Spirit you received, or a
different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily
enough. 5 I do not think I am in the least inferior to those
“super-apostles.” 6 I may indeed be untrained as a speaker,
but I do have knowledge. We have made this perfectly clear to you in every
way. 7 Was it a sin for me to lower myself in order to elevate
you by preaching the gospel of God to you free of charge? 8 I
robbed other churches by receiving support from them so as to serve you. 9 And
when I was with you and needed something, I was not a burden to anyone, for the
brothers who came from Macedonia supplied what I needed. I have kept myself
from being a burden to you in any way, and will continue to do so. 10 As
surely as the truth of Christ is in me, nobody in the regions of Achaia will
stop this boasting of mine. 11 Why? Because I do not love you?
God knows I do!
n
12 And
I will keep on doing what I am doing in order to cut the ground from under
those who want an opportunity to be considered equal with us in the things they
boast about. 13 For such people are false apostles, deceitful
workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder, for
Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. 15 It is not
surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness.
Their end will be what their actions deserve.
